4421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your opinion about this investment strategy on: October 23, 2019, 04:22:36 PM

he entrusted ADA which i really think is also one of the best project in crypto. if there is one project that could outrank the ones on top like ETH and EOS, it must be ADA but then of course its not happening yet because the project hasn't completed it development yet. the CEO of this project is is by the way the co-founder of ETH and has the intention to make this project to solve the scalability.
4422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down on: October 23, 2019, 03:57:53 PM
this is the reason why when someone says BTC has bottom out its the opposite that you have to expect. the drop looks very sharp and if they hit the floor it can really drag the price down to probably the last bottom like $3k to which i hope not. but i'd have to dump mine as well. now that i'm also seeing uncertainty to all these. the gurus in the chat says dump so i must.  Grin no reasons at all.
4423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 23, 2019, 03:10:11 PM
When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...

Projects like:

Stakenet
Komodo Atomic DEX
Nash
Blocknet
Bisq
Switcheo
Loopring
IDEX
WAVES
Bithumb
...And many more...

Why would anyone ever want to keep using centralized exchanges, especially when their volume becomes irrelevant?

Why would anyone voluntarily send their funds to a wallet on a vulnerable exchange where they don't own the keys and their funds could be frozen at the drop of a hat?

I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.
we still need centralized exchange. maybe in the future DEX will become popular, but there are still some problems that cannot be solved by DEX. one of the difficult problems for DEX is combining several blockchain in one platform. on average DEX currently only supports one or two blockchain networks, whereas there are many blockchain networks today such as waves, ethereum, EOS, bitcoin and others.

therefore if DEX cannot solve this problem we still need CEX.

some of them are popular already, every body knows about forkdelta and idex already providing market for the ERC tokens. the volume of each of them are just not enough to make them compete the bigger centralize exchanges. the possible solution is probably organize them all to have one volatility pool where orders from the other dex can be sent to all dex. this way exchanges might just be used widely. i have read this idea from a dex project actually can't remember which one as there are many of them.

4424  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: October 23, 2019, 02:37:02 PM

when it was reported that BTC is getting attention in Nigeria, BTC investors are liking but it was later learned that it was the result of the BTC scheme om the country making them use BTC.  iguess for a corrupt countries, BTC will be taken advantage by these politicians and scammers. but in Brazil and in the first countries adoptiing BTC, the use of crypto has become more of a normal fiat specially in Japan.  the big difference when it comes to corrupt countries and countries who willingly adopt crypto.
4425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Expectation And Reality In The Current Situation on: October 23, 2019, 02:25:58 PM

i wasn't expecting we will really be experiencing this long bear. that i didn't find it possible since it already happened in 2014 and i thought it won't happen again because more and more people are going to learn BTC and that it will have more demands and the result was bullrun. never expect what could happen after it.  i can only expect this bear will finally end and lets see much of the developments that the devs are doing while they are hiding.
4426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lack of retail interest indicates increased institutional flow into Bitcoin on: October 23, 2019, 01:44:40 PM

article says the same amount of people are interested to btc since june of last year up to now which means there is no growth to make retail nor institutional investors. the answer i guess can be seen by how much devastation the bullrun had done to the previous investors. however with what happen to countries relying their faith to BTC can be a indication that the trust to btc still much stronger when it comes to countries with political instability. we should be pushing war should we?  Grin
4427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of Altcoins have a future? on: October 23, 2019, 01:26:21 PM
The market for Altcoins has been bad recently, and many Altcoins have died and lost a lot of money. What kind of Altcoins do you think will die?thanks for sharing
Altcoins that are most likely to be gone in the long run are those with team members who do not care about project development, rather focus on price spikes to sell off due to greed. Also, altcoins with no real product, in future people will hold coins not because of hype but because they are actually impressed with the product of the project.

the altcoins that are on top clearly have products they are proud of. this is the reason why you can not go wrong when you invest to the top altcoins you see in the market. if the prices of these coins are low but are on top, its one of a good coin to actually invest. there is no reason to doubt when they are on top but if they are in about in the hundred in the rank, you would have to question whether there are still people behind it or have gone hiding already.
4428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: October 22, 2019, 07:55:11 PM
The scenario you are describing is no different to any other project with their tokens. if the project goes bust, their token goes also.
You said it yourself in the first part of the post, there is no use of token outside the exchnage and no community will change that.
Even some exchanges token are listed in different other exchanges, it didn't guarantee that it be safe to have it since once that exchange close definitely their token too for there'll be no more use for it. So I'm just using it for trading purposes in their exchanges more than as a holding like KCS and BNB.

you wouldn't be trading BNB on some other exchange if you have no plans to use it too in the binance exchange as well. exchange coins have its purpose so long as the exchange are being used by traders. i don't see traders in crypto to diminish gradually in fact we are increasing more and more. more crypto users are coming every day which will be utilizing these tokens too.

4429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: October 22, 2019, 07:07:41 PM

i was looking for the guide and all i see was threads in reddit but there was no guide. are we able to see how to stake our waves while login into our tidex account? any link to the guide.

it was a long time ago since i tried using the exchange. brings back the interest after learning we can stake our WAVES, its also the first time i learn tidex has its TDX too.
4430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 22, 2019, 05:21:30 PM

pretty normal when you introduce something new, they will oppose it because they don't understand or simply because since its new.

my old  man insist in investing in buying a farm as it will help me survive by planting crops and trees and sell them. when i told him i'd be investing GPUs so i can mine ETH and XMR. he was what and then you are going to sell the land minerals to china?   maybe i just suck at explaining what BTC and these coins are.
4431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DOES BOUNTY PROJECTS TAKE TIME TO ENTER A MARKET on: October 22, 2019, 04:31:38 PM

one reason could be because exchanges ask for high fee when adding their token. but teams losing opportunity due to bounty hunters dumping the first before the investors could is disappointing especially because they privately invest to make arrangements and then them not profiting from the very start of trading will not earn them friends. i guess the old projects who did an ico back 2016 knew realized it already.
4432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS GONE? on: October 22, 2019, 03:59:09 PM
you graduated! congrats! you missed a lot in a year.

we are in bear for too long. if nothing is heard from the developers of the token, normally the fud spread where in crypto is usual. and with just the post of someone here in the forum, you almost believe them all with a slight truth to it even just the ETF news. there are investors who took advantage of this bear and there are holders who also sold.
4433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi wasn’t created by blockchain on: October 22, 2019, 02:42:54 PM

it shows how little i know about bitcoin. i didn't know blockchain didn't actually started with satoshi but i guess he introduces it all. did satoshi claim he created it or had created a new better one. i don't know the point of this thread though. Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta can take a credit of what they've come up in the publication of it so it good.
4434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵 [BOUNTY][NO KYC] 🔵 Agareum 🔵 Multiplayer gaming platform 🔵 on: October 21, 2019, 07:39:02 PM
AGR doesn't have a team page in their website but who is LANCE?

when is the private testing going to be completed as well because if there is no timeline here. the project is already hiring bounty hunters without funds yet for the coming development milestones. i can only see bounty hunters going to wait for a long time here while the project simply just wait for any exchange to list the token for whatever reason. just a warning for all who joined.
4435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Energi's (NRG) charity, what do you think? on: October 21, 2019, 04:57:39 PM
seem their bounty campaign regarding the tree plant program. definitely a helping team.

Do you know why they do such things? Because people will notice who is behind the charity events, so it is a very good marketing move, I think.
But, it is nice to see, that such marketing works and it is also beneficial for poor people and nature.  Smiley

I mean even if it's a marketing plan, i don't really mind as they are doing something positive. I would always prefer to see them making a positive impact than buying a bunch of adverts or google ads.

I also think they could use their coin in their charity as well, think it could be a cool way to use the coin to fundraise, adding another reason to buy the coin rather than just the price / speculation.

they seem to focus more on marketing the environment friendly project. if they are building a trust with the bigger environmental group like the green peace, they can then have a big community and easy promotion for both. for fund raising i guess its best o just use the more common coin that everyone knew, BTC. they'd have to do alot of marketing still.
4436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is virtual currency and cryptocurrency? on: October 21, 2019, 04:44:15 PM

you have answered it all. thanks but this thread has gotta be reported as spam actually. OP knows exactly what all these but just want to spam that coinpedia which he linked in the post. if i were a moderator here, i would have delete this thread already. no one is subscribing their cryoto news site so they have to spam bitcointalk for this is where the real traffic are when it come to crypto.
4437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] SiriusX - THE FIRST TRAVEL AND SOCIAL NETWORK PLATFORM on: October 21, 2019, 04:25:29 PM

so you have 3 projects all in all including the social media and the card and the travel platform. you know how hard it is to promote one project alone to turn the heads of investors but you have 3?  that's really very ambitious of the team. a social media platform alone is going to make this team bankrupt without slight chance of recovery. we have a difficult time in crypto right now, don't make it worse.
4438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: October 21, 2019, 04:17:01 PM
would you really entrust your coins to a bank that you are not holding your private keys?

literally its just like giving it to him while letting it grow. the uncertainly that your coins will be back to you once you request it be withdrawn is going to challenging for you once they turned scam. before you realize they are scam they will first ask for KYC, so they knew who you are. while if you just hold your coins perhaps invest on POS coins, you are like profiting without worrying whether about your coins.
4439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do economic indicators favour Bitcoin ? on: October 21, 2019, 01:37:24 PM
It basically means that the old Fiat system <Banking & Government> are up to their old tricks again. They did not learn anything from the 2008/2009 near economic collapse and all the mistakes that were done to lead up to that.  Angry

The US Reserve are trying everything in their power to boost the US economy and to prevent a repeat of the 2008 problems, but the financial industry are simply ignoring the past mistakes and they are just making more mistakes. <Why, because there was no consequences for their previous mistakes, they just got bailed out by taxpayers money when they f#$%ed up.>  Angry

All their bad decisions just push more people to "store of value" options like Bitcoin.  Wink

make sense. we'd probably see it clearer if governments itself owns BTC this time and that its not just the Ukraine who will rush the legalization of cryptocurrencies in their country. or this financial crises are just going to keep on going as a matter of fact, satoshi released this BTC and blockchain the time after the 2008/09 economic collapse to probably solve it for once.
4440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly City on: October 21, 2019, 01:15:15 PM

article seem updated every time, Updated Sep 19, 2019.

i remember Buenos Aires, Argentina back when i still have a ton of DASH with me. there was an article where it announces a beach resort is accepting DASH, i already though of it would have been good to see fellows to send it to his wallet and provide me services in their resort, fine dining and all.
