Chelsea will recover eventually, but I doubt Manchester United will. They've been struggling to win games since the beginning of the season, and in the games they've won so far, they weren't the best team on the field; their opponents were simply not taking chances. They spent a lot of money on defense, yet they're still allowing more goals than they should. Chelsea had a horrible game and lost to the league's best team, while Manchester United lost to a team Chelsea beat 3:0 in the league and knocked out of the league cup a few weeks ago. I have to agree with you, right now it seems Manchester City or Chelsea have to be favourites to win the Premier League title but will Chelsea be able to bounce back after that unexpected defeat at home to Manchester City? And what about Manchester United, will they be able to bounce back after that unexpected home defeat to Aston Villa? After 6 games played it is too early to say for sure which the breakaway teams will be after the Christmas and New Year period but this is already becoming a fantastic season of top class football and it will get better and more exciting as the fight to become champions and the fight to avoid relegation proceeds  I knew Tottenham and Arsenal would struggle to return to the Top 6 this season after both missing out last season and making minor changes to their squads. I think the league situation will be clearer at around the Christmas and New Year period because after those flurry of games the top 2 or 3 teams should start breaking away from the rest. I would say Chelsea and Manchester City will there but which other teams will be there? Liverpool and Manchester United probably but Arsenal and Tottenham - I think they will not end the season anywhere near the top 4.

Hai JollyGood, now both Manchesters have 10 votes each.   It is really interesting that Chelsea haven't got so many votes. But I assume that most people voted the teams before the start of the season. Now, things are quite different than the expected. Chelsea are dominating the league so far by their awesome performance. They are just unstoppable when it comes to their offensive and defensive line both. I believe that the majority of those votes were cast a few weeks before the season began, and that the votes were cast in favor of Manchester City and Manchester United when Jack Grealish and Cristiano Ronaldo arrived even before they had kicked a ball; the two teams appeared to be the only title contenders, but the results now show otherwise. After the first five games, Chelsea and Liverpool are leading the title battle; nevertheless, the votes will shift before December. |

I think it's a combination of both those things. It's the biggest local board with more active members than anywhere else. I just took a look at Rikafip's stats showing the members who were most active in the Russian local. Obviously we have all seen Ratimov around, but I have no idea who D-oN_ is (2nd on the list in terms of activity). Looking at the first 5 pages from his post history, all his posts were made in the Russian boards....] Yes, they had over 7k+ postings in the last month, which is incredible and only goes to show how passionate the Russians are about their board. The Turkish and German boards are also keeping up with the pace. |
