4441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 14, 2022, 12:05:46 AM
I don't put my hand into the fire for this kind of game, but I see they are really popular. In my country there are similar games of this kind, part of an important national TV channel's grade which gives lots of prizes weekly to people who purchase the tickets and sign a monthly "membership". And that is true there is no way to know for sure if the results are legit, especially because it's part of a TV show, but people really don't seem to care about it. They still put their money on this kind of thing, although we know cryptocurrency casinos are much more trustful and accurated on its results.

It really doesn't make sense why these gamblers don't adopt cryptocurrency to ensure they will be putting their money into provably fair games.
4442  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 13, 2022, 11:05:14 PM
If Mr X earns better from a side job when compared to the income from his career option, does the side job still qualify to be called a side job?
Usually career jobs offer opportunities for the individual to reach to upper positions through promotions inside the working field. So even though you earn less from your main job when compared to a side job, you shouldn't give up on it, because on long run it's possible you will have your wage raised and receive extra benefits from the employer, especially if you are an employee on the public sphere.

The important is to work and make as much income as you can. Sometimes we have to earn less now to profit more tomorrow...
While I get your point about acquiring as much as possible, which is something I also support, however, sometimes we shouldn't only seek out money. Don't get me wrong, it's an understandable argument, the world is going through a crisis, cost of living is rapidly rising due to inflation, the pandemic has affected many businesses and sectors, and continues to do so, leading to unemployment, mental issues and financial depression, consequences that we'll suffer for many years to come.

On the other hand, after suffering in a job I do not like (and continue to do so), just because it pays well, personally, if I had the opportunity to do something else, with worse pay, but better conditions, then I'd do it.
In this case you are right, because a job you don't like intensely can be harmful to your mental health and welfare. And without a healthy and happy mind there isn't life, so it is the most important aspect someone should worry about beyond any financial returns and opportunities that become secondary in this situation.

But if the job we are talking about is something you can do without any problems, you should continue on it even if the payrate is considerably low. Nowadays we really can't demand too much. Those who have a job should be already very thankful for that.

4444  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 13, 2022, 05:24:41 PM
"Best" is a strong word to classify something, especially in investment's world, where there are so many different options disponible. But without any doubts, bitcoin is the best investment for small investors, at least. I say that because bitcoin gathers three important characteristics from the financial point of view:

High profitability, easy and accessible to start investing and initial investment can be made with small amounts of money.

There isn't any other investment with those same traits. So that is what makes bitcoin so special and unique.
4445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lies and critics about bitcoins on: February 13, 2022, 05:01:50 AM
Criticisms must be taken into consideration, because it's possible they come with valid arguments, which are important for everyone to develop a healthy personal opinion about bitcoin and also to help enthusiasts to find possible effective solutions for the criticisms presented.

At same time there are many lies about bitcoin, which of course must be completely exposed and then ignored next. Actually, lies aren't a big issue on long run, because they don't last longer when put face to face with the facts and the reality.
4446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 13, 2022, 03:31:06 AM
This is a good strategy to push crypto gambling to mainstream channels. Thanks to a famous celebrity betting with bitcoin publicly, many popular sites had to promote crypto gambling and Stake even if indirectly.

I don't know where the original idea of Drake sharing his bet on social media came from, but it must be said it was a smart one and the results are evident for anyone who check it on google.
4447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just luck on: February 12, 2022, 06:43:39 PM
You were actually lucky indeed, because besides buying the tokens on the right time, you have also been lucky to pick the correct memecoins, as not all of them have stories of success even on short run.

But if I were you, I would change my investment strategy from now on, because even though you are having positive results investing in memecoins, it's still a risky deal that may lead you to lose everything you have gained so far.
4448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain gaming is the way of the future. on: February 12, 2022, 01:31:38 AM
Everyone has boredom at some point. Just because blockchain gaming is currently going mainstream, their market is blowing up because even someone who is not a gamer based will take part in earning, they don't really enjoy the game. If one day the gaming market has receded due to the presence of something else that is more profitable, people will start to leave it and only true gamers will be survive in this industry.
If they got bored they will stop playing but if they have a true passion for games, they will comeback again to play. Type of game is also important for a gamer. Of course, they will get tired for a game that is boring or if the game doesn't keep on updating to add more elements on the game to make the game more exciting.

We have good nft games at the moment, axie for example but many players are complaining for the drop of the slp price and they make this an excuse to stop playing the game. its clear that this people are not true gamer's but they are only in for the hype and for the earnings. Now they are switching to other nft games that value does not drop yet.
Now SLP price is recovering again due to a new update which removed SLP rewards from adventure mode. Now players can only farm SLP through PVP mode.

At same time it was a good measure to reduce SLP supply on the market and increase its price, it wasn't good for players like me who just farmed 50 SLPs daily against common mobs, what was really fast doesn't matter how efficient the axie team was.

After the update I don't have patience to play anymore, because it's a big waste of time to play against another players, since it takes a considerable period of time without returning any rewards if you aren't able to beat the rivals.
4449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Better Option Than Fiat Money? on: February 11, 2022, 11:19:07 PM
Even though bitcoin isn't widely accepted in most countries and by most sellers, it is still a much superior alternative when compared to fiat.

The fact bitcoin fights back inflation efficiently is already a good reason to consider bitcoin a viable currency for every aspects of daily life or long term goals.

Unfortunatelly most people can't see how they can be benefited by adopting bitcoin, so they don't create demand for it on the market, what doesn't incentivize sellers to also accept btc as payment method on their shops.

And then we have this situation related by many, which doesn't allow them to use bitcoin as currency on their countries.
4450  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 11, 2022, 10:17:15 PM
If you are looking for something arbitrary then you could do worse. 12.5k is something that gets you a good return. It means you will start to get some cashback eventually, after a year it will be 0.1 but if you increase it meanwhile for a whole year then it would be even better.
12,500 FUN tokens is the best cost benefit package disponible. It isn't so expensive and the features' rates are intermediary. In 9 days I'm going to complete 180 days of holding period, so the interest bonus is going to extra 7,5%, plus one extra free wheel spin every day, reaching to 7 total daily.

Thanks for all the feedback, something I certainly couldn't have gathered to as much detail on my own without some serious work.

As I mentioned, I came to the same conclusion: 12.5k seems to be the most "effective" amount to get a reasonably good boost without too much in the bank. I'm close to the outlay needed, so I'll keep rolling and/or wait for price to decline a bit more, and I'll definitely put it for max holding. I suppose the interest on that should help offset the expected loss, and it definitely helps that all those extra free spins could hit something big.

Question about the additional interest -- I won't benefit as my entire sat balance will go to FUN if I choose this route. Do you retain the interest rate once the 12.5k hold expires?
Thanks.

About your question: to maximize the benefits from FUN holdings, it's advised to keep a decent balance in bitcoin on the site. To exchange the whole btc balance for FUN isn't interesting.

What I did was to calculate how much 12,500 FUN would cost in btc, then I calculated if the extra interest percentage provided by FUN feature (10% after one year) would be responsible for generating me a decent amount of btc compared to the initial investment.

The more btcs you keep besides 12,500 FUN, the better.

And regards FUN locked funds, once the 365 days time period expires I think I will sell the 25% paid interest and then lock for another year.

I'm under no illusion that I'll be rich from any crypto venture I get into (too old for that). I just see myself not doing anything with my modest stash at this site for a year or two, it's more like emergency fun money for me. FUN looks like an option once my stash is enough for 12500, my semi-arbitrary number.

It also means 10% more daily interest which is definitely awesome (not 10% of whole, 10% of the daily interest, so at 4% that means 4.4% interest) and that difference could literally pay the whole deal if you invest enough. Then we have free spins, at 8 a day you are looking at 400 satoshi at the bare minimum, which is 146k satoshi after a year of doing it.

Basically fun token does pay for itself, it gets to be free after a while, all you have to do is buy it, hold it, and use the benefits of it to the max and you will be holding those fun tokens for free and get the money you paid back.

The only negative aspect is the price of FUN tokens which decreased considerably. From an investment of 800,000 satoshis and something now it's priced in 324,000 satoshis. But on long run I'm recovering it and making profit through wheel's prizes, daily interest over bitcoin balance and interest over FUN locked funds (25% annually).
4452  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for Feb on: February 10, 2022, 07:00:29 PM
The market isn't looking bearish or bullish at this moment. It's just keeping the stability really strong around 45,000$. It's a good signal anyway, especially after bitcoin suddenly dropped to 43,000$ again an hour ago or so, but instantly returned to the 45,000$ price range again, what means there are buyers putting a decent volume of money in bitcoin as soon as it drops a little below the currently stable price.
It shows optimism from investors and that they don't expect bitcoin to fall too deep before it rises to a new resistance level, that must be 50,000$.
4453  Economy / Economics / Re: Just my own thoughts on: February 10, 2022, 06:16:12 PM
There is a natural competition between bitcoin and fiat, as both are tools to fulfill the same objectives. If you use fiat for a purchase, bitcoin is being left aside, so it's losing territory, what makes fiat stay ahead on this competition. And the opposite also happens. That is, when someone adopts btc and replaces their investments and payments made with fiat previously for bitcoin currency.
It's inevitable this concurrence for hegemony and influence exist in the financial world between fiat and cryptocurrencies. And that is one good reason to explain why many governments' regulators are terrified by bitcoin potential.
4454  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Inflation is a big problem for a country? on: February 09, 2022, 11:34:47 PM
Do you think people can do anything to stop inflation in their economy or its inevitable?
Very important question that I haven't seen anyone able to answer it so far. This should be being discussed at television news' channels, political campaigns and on the daily life.

We need more knowledge and informations to find an useful solution for inflation. But personally, I think if governments stopped printing money and raising public employees' wages and also minimum national wages, inflation should increase slower, at least.
4455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay for coffee with Bitcoin on: February 09, 2022, 10:22:56 PM
To adopt bitcoin as payment method for your business only isn't enough right now, because the adoption by potential customers is too low yet.

You also need to launch campaigns promoting bitcoin in your area together with your coffee shop or offer some interesting promotions and discounts for those who pay with bitcoin. This way people will feel incentivized to use btc as currency, so you will have the customers you are looking for.
4456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency status at the beginning of the year on: February 07, 2022, 11:52:51 PM
Throughout early 2022, the crypto market situation experienced a very sharp decline in price. However, currently the cryptocurrency market is starting to show potential to improve. Therefore, I predict the price of bitcoin will start to improve in the next few weeks.
For the past days until now bitcoin is showing a decent recovery, despite the negative fluctuations and pessimism that has prevailed since the beginning of this new year. If bitcoin stays stable around 43,000$ for some more time I will start believing we can exit the bear market very soon and reach the old good 50,000$ price range again. That is what the market needs to inspire optimism among investors once more.
4457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Bitcoin on: February 07, 2022, 09:38:26 PM
I believe the future will be bright, at least on the financial aspect, for those who hold at least 1 bitcoin, like OP. Right now 1 btc isn't insanely expensive, but there are good chances in the future it will represent an awesome amount of money, being possible to guarantee a confortable life for anyone who holds it and make this money work for himself.
This thread is actually a good reminder for everyone else that it's still possible to accumulate 1 bitcoin on their pockets and that it should be done faster as possible, because we don't know until when it will be still possible. At some point bitcoin will be so expensive, that few million of satoshis will be the maximum amount most people will be able to acquire during their entire lifetime.
4458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: February 07, 2022, 06:31:28 PM
Diversifying portfolio in crypto universe is only useful to take advantage of price increasements of altcoins, which can be superior in % to bitcoin price increasements sometimes. Let's say bitcoin has rised 10% in a month period, while an altcoin else has rised 30% on that same time period. So if you had your portfolio splitted among some different altcoins, including the one which rised 30% in value, you would profit more than just holding bitcoin in your wallet.

That is just a hypothetical scenario, though. It's much safer to only hold bitcoins for long term gains. Altcoins are too risky even when compared to bitcoin investment.
4459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Finals. on: February 07, 2022, 04:49:20 PM
Before this thread gets locked, let's take some time out to reflect and  evaluate the successes and flaws of this years AFCON hosted by Cameroon. Do you see the just concluded AFCON as a huge improvement from the others we have seen? in what ways to you think the tournament can be made better before it is hosted again for the second time  by Ivory Coast in June 2023?
Well, I think security mechanisms and strategies should be improved for the next tournament, so episodes like the one on the game between Cameroon and Comoros, where 38 ended injured and 8 dead, don't repeat again. Moreover, participant teams can always improve themselves to show a better performance to the public and to represent their countries better. Velocity, dribbling and physical aren't everything. A weak team can always improve its results by being more strategical. Egypt and how they reached to the final is a good example of that.
4460  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: February 06, 2022, 08:49:58 PM
Lol, there aren't such things. Nobody can give an accurate signal of when a whale is going to drop millions or billions of dollars in cryptocurrency on the market for sale and cashout suddenly. This is an unpredictable market and to play safe you need to concentrate your focus and goals on long run, always sticking with bitcoin, and forget about gurus selling their magical services or exchanging it for sign ups and likes on youtube or telegram groups.
