4441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seven most imminent trends everyone should get ready for in 2020. on: September 30, 2019, 04:10:23 PM
Seven most imminent trends everyone should get ready for in 2020 by Bernard Marr. Blockchain technology too got its place secured among the list.

  • Artificial Intelligence as a Service
  • 5G Data Networks
  • Autonomous Driving
  • Personalized and Predictive Medicine
  • Computer Vision
  • Extended Reality
  • Blockchain Technology

What you all think of these with comparison to the blockchain technology. Each and everything mentioned were completely associated with the technology based development and someway each gets associated with the other by some means.

Source : The 7 Biggest Technology Trends In 2020 Everyone Must Get Ready For Now
Blockchain is the only thing on the list that most people really do not know to be fair. Most people, even those that are laymen in the tech world know of at least the possible existence of AI's and such. This should really place Blockchain technology on the forefront of the world and hopefully push people into believing in the effectiveness of it, thereby placing crypto as well into a favorable place which is really great news imo.

In continuation to your reply, I would like to add that blockchain technology is often a very misunderstood one! A lot of people link it with cryptocurrency immediately upon hearing the word. And since cryptocurrency has a questionable reputation as per law, people immediate start taking it in a little different way!

The good part is that the situation is changing slowly but surely! The more and more corporations adopt it in their tools, will surely have a positive effect in the mind of people!
4442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we ready for another price bump? Reminder for the shortsighted people. :-> on: September 30, 2019, 08:50:40 AM
On 6th of July 2019 the Bitcoin price was hovering around $7700 and within 20 days it went up to almost $12600+ and nobody even anticipated that it might happen. This was just over 2 months ago and a lot of people with a very short memory are already panicking and selling their coins.  Roll Eyes  https://www.blockchain.com/charts/market-price?timespan=1year

I am posting this as a reminder to those people with a short memory that things in Bitcoin change at a very rapid pace and if you are too focused on the immediate price, you might just miss out on the next big price bump.  Wink

Also remember that we were playing around with a $3000 to $4000 Bitcoin price back in January, so it is not the end of the world, if we see a little correction.  Grin

Buy low and hoard those coins, you will not be disappointed if you do. <It might take 1 month or even 3 years, but I would rather be prepared ...than jumping the ship and being out of coins when it happens.>  Roll Eyes

Actually a lot of people don't realize when an opportunity period is there and then they cry at later stage for missing that opportunity. I have seen it a lot of times, especially during late 2017.

A lot of people bought bitcoin at 20k that time because they didn't want to loose that profit making opportunity. That same group of people denied to invest in bitcoin when the price was below 12k just few months prior to reach ATH. That's human nature with conservative outlook!
4443  Economy / Economics / Re: Rate cuts money printing inflation on: September 30, 2019, 06:36:32 AM
We all ready see this, prices specially Property rent and buy prices are going higher.

Do You think its coused by inflation?

It depends on the country and locality. There are many places where the housing bubble had taken the price to astronomical high earlier but not getting reduced. Inflation is just one of the catalysts.

Quote
If so do you think the gold and btc Will be hedge?

Gold and other precious metals are definitely a hedge but not bitcoin. Even though bitcoin is limited in numbers.

Quote
I think the assets prices going up in Europe,  USA, Australia Central Banks just started money printing those 3  countries wich i mentioned above

As we Know in canada there is about to start Economic recessions If they dont start rate cuts like USA, EU, AU just did.

Uk Economic situation is 50/50 it can go down.

Do You personally feel that Fiat Currrency losing slowly puraching power?

I do feel that, but the problem is i cant buy groceries food and daily needs with Bitcoin first i have to Exchange my btc to Fiat, so the Bitcoin and gold is Not really Solution for that problem!!

It's true that fiat system is slowly getting devalued and the central banks needs to put similar percentage of money into the economy every year.

But bitcoin or any other cryptos can't be a solution to it, not at least at the global level. Cryptos are not yet accepted globally and a lot of countries are still in dilemma whether to legalize it or not!

Gold and other precious metals like Silver is a great alternative to maintain personal finances afloat during hard times, but not bitcoin unless you are an early adopter.
4444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: David Marcus, Coinbase CEO show supports for Facebook Libra on: September 29, 2019, 03:49:58 PM
The launching of Facebook stablecoin is getting support from prominent people in the crypto space, regulators have been teaming up in order to dissect Libra for everything it’s got since it will bring an end to all traditional money which is major concerns of some countries in the European soil such as France and Germany which has vowed to block their citizenship from using if later successfully launched. Would Facebook be successful on this mission that has attracted global critics? Rest of the story can be found here: https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2019/09/coinbase-ceo-show-support-facebooks-libra?utm_source=OneSignal&utm_medium=App

We all are individuals and we all have different thought processes. So if a prominent crypto personality supports another centralized currency, what the issue in that?? I am sure Devis is eyeing for some million dollar deals from Facebook!

Facebook is yet to face regulatory hurdles mate! SEC has already raised concerns about Libra and facebook is working on that. They have not yet come to the Asian market which is known to be conservative! I don't see any opportunity for Libra to be released before 2022.
4445  Economy / Economics / Re: K-POP Company owners are joining the train hype of Cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2019, 05:48:57 PM
Firstly, cryptocurrency or blockchain is not a magic wand which will make everything right upon implementation. Implementation of blockchain will not make the falling share price recoverable! Especially in a sector like media or celebrity management!

Secondly, a lot of people don't understand the utility of a cryptocurrency! Why the hell people would need a separate crypto to make flight ticket booking and another crypto for movie ticket booking??

What is celebrity engagement btw? What's the need of a cryptocurrency here?

Frankly, I don't see any business potential here in the entire proposal!
4446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 8 Ball Pool game against live players worldwide - is gambling available? on: September 26, 2019, 05:40:04 PM
Does anyone know about any gambling platform where I can play this game against live players worldwide and bet on my own ability using cryptos? I tried searching Google but unable to find any such platform where I can bet on my own ability and earn real money for each win. Any help will be appreciated!

I'm pretty sure that there is no gambling site yet that offers a billiard game PVP in crypto.

If there is, I doubt the legitimacy of it.

It's a good game. A battle of skills. Maybe others can request it on those top crypto gambling sites but I doubt they will consider adding it due to a small number of interested people.

Small number of interested people?? Man, this game is one of the top grossing game in android with over 500 million plus downloads! It is one of the most popular games of android marketplace!

Secondly, it is a skill based game so I believe a lot of people will become interested in betting on this. Only keeping the bots out will be a challenge for the casinos but with the use of technology even that can be achieved!

It's indeed sad that no crypto gambling website has included this game in their list!
4447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or Bear season for crypto? on: September 26, 2019, 04:12:37 PM
The crypto market for a period seemed to be on a bear market, and for some reason much later prices started increasing again. What can be said about the market at this period, are we on a bull or bear?

Neither!! Bitcoin is slowly showing signs of stabilization. Before the recent downfall, its price fluctuation was less than 2% for close to two weeks! I would say this recent downfall is more of a routine correction only! So we don't need to term it as bullish or bearish! It's very normal in crypto market and we have been experiencing such kind of fluctuations since a long time now!

How come? Can you please explain? I know the options market pretty well and found your statement amusing.

Please explain!
4449  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: September 26, 2019, 04:19:24 AM
This is to inform you all that yesterday the case was not heard by the judiciary bench due to other high priority matter. It is likely to be heard today.

Make sure you follow crypto Kanoon twitter handle to get minute update on the hearing.

Things are going to get interested because RBI has replied to the petition of Indian crypto exchanges which will be read in front of court today.

If everything goes well, the hearing is likely to be completed today!
4450  Economy / Economics / Re: CRYPTO-CURRENCY TAX IN THE UNITED KINGDOM on: September 26, 2019, 04:11:48 AM
This Question is for all members who understand Crypto-currency Tax in the United Kingdom:

What TAX do you pay when you withdraw your crypto-currency earnings in Pound Sterling (£), using your UK bank account?
- Is is Capital Gains Tax OR Income tax?

I would request you to please read the below link to know everything about UK crypto taxation,

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/tax-on-cryptoassets/cryptoassets-for-individuals

It seems like capital gains as well as income tax - both applies based on the situation! If your crypto volume is significant, better get a professional help!
4451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra currency basket proportions! on: September 25, 2019, 04:58:06 PM
The Libra currency basket will consist of 50% of US dollars, 18% of euros, 14% of Japanese yen, 11% of British pounds and 7% of Singapore dollars.

What do you think about such proportions?

How do you come up with this bifurcation of Libra's backup asset? Any reference do you have?

I am sure that this proportion is incorrect! Because there is no hedge position they have created. Rather they are just betting on some strong currencies! If the world economy sees a great recession, there's no way Libra will survive.

I would rather prefer to have at least 15% allocation in precious metals like Gold and Silver purely for unforeseen future events. These precious metals are being used for hedging by almost all fund managers to safeguard the asset value during an economic slowdown!

I wonder why Facebook is not considering precious metals in their asset allocation!! It's suicidal!
4452  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take advantage of this recent pull-back. on: September 25, 2019, 04:33:54 PM
Your article is a mere speculation and also a promotion of an unknown exchange that offers 100x leverage!

100x Leverage??? Don't you think it is insane amount of leverage??

Also when you say that Bitcoin is going to test 35 -40k USD soon, what substance do you have to prove it??
4453  Economy / Economics / Re: The Latest Crypto Price Dip Is Fueled By Fake News Relating to Quantum Computers on: September 25, 2019, 04:17:55 PM
Lol!! Without going to the controversy whether Google has achieved quantum process of 53 Qubit power or not, I think there is no correlation at all! Quantum computer will have much larger scope for mankind, why would it be used to break the encryption of bitcoin only?? That's dumb thinking!

I would rather think, Google will use its quantum computer very cautiously without hurting anyone or anything, even after having the capability of doing so! I am sure bitcoin users have at least that much gray matter in their brain!

4455  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the cause of the current sharp drop, any fundamental? on: September 25, 2019, 06:01:25 AM
Just like always(probably 80%-90% of the time), it's most likely just because of typical volatility of bitcoin. We're just going to waste our time finding the reason why the price really dropped because there's literally no way for us to 100% verify what the main cause is anyway.

If you're bullish in the long term anyway, just stack sats and close your coinmarketcap tab.

Meh, just wait it out. And if you have some excess fiat lying around, its your chance to buy cheap. Panic sell will only lead you to loses, the price will find its natural place, and if it doesn't correction ensues.
Seems like the “Panic Selling” is the most used words in crypto whenever there’s a dropping of value like now.why not instead of this words ,let’s just talk about PANIC BUYING.?lol 😂

I have purchased my half month of payroll last night when the price fall to $8,400 and I’m lucky enough because it seems that the value is stabilizing by now

Excellent decision!! I wish I could have done the same! The market is stabilizing at 8.5 grand now but I don't think it will even hold this price by the end of the day! Many people fail to understand an opportunity period and then they lose the chance to make the most out of it! It's a psychological factor indeed!
4456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Tender-Will Bakkt Act As cure-all? on: September 24, 2019, 07:01:52 PM

‘’The Bakkt news is ostensibly the most bullish occasion for institutional financial specialists in the historical backdrop of bitcoin’’ tweeted digital money expert Scott Melker. Supported by the New York Stock Exchange, the bitcoin market is relied upon to arrive at its zenith with a successful advancement rate.

The person on foot of Bakkt is simply the Intercontinental Exchange which is a $52 billion market top exchanging mammoth. It was at first expected to start last December however factors like national government shutdown deferred it and after that facebook Libra took the features, yet now the hotly anticipated Bakkt is back which would likewise challenge Libra.

News Source: TheCoinRepublic
 https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/bitcoins-fragility-will-bakkt-act-as-panacea/

In reality, the market has decreased by around 15% from the day bakkt launched! While majority of the community members including me are bullish about Bakkt because they offers the first physically settled bitcoin future contract, but everything seems move to the different way!

Do you think it is a mere correction or there is a correlation?
4457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRX TRON will hit its ATL? on: September 24, 2019, 06:35:30 PM
Is it true that TRX TRON will hit its ATL (All time low?)

No one knows! All major cryptos are facing the downfall inclusding stable coins like TUSD or USDT. These stablecoins usually show an upward trend during any downfall, but this time it is somewhat different! Even the bitcoin hash rate has decreased by a big percentage from 22 September. So something is going on to the market which we have no idea about!

Quote
IMO it looks like that the coin is going to be hitting its ATL, if this happens then we will see that the total market cap of this token will be reduced to 10 million in total, then may be when bitcoin will hit its new ATH in around 2020, & all the cryptocurrencies will get a minimum 50% to maximum 10000% or more boom then I can expect based on some popular cryptocurrency analyzers that the coin will hit its ATH, I don't know that how much it will increase but I think it will make it stable to that price where it should be.

Given the fact, that bitcoin's market dominance is around 69%, it is possible for other cryptos to see a rally along with bitcoin. But no one knows about the time! How can you claim that all cryptos will see a new ATH in and around 2020?? What substancial proof you have to prove this claim?
4458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big drop in hashrate on: September 24, 2019, 06:01:10 PM
Looking at many other charts, I am not seeing it.
Still at about the proper 6 blocks per hour.

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/ has it at 82.77 Eh/s
https://explorer.viabtc.com/btc has it at 82.84 EH/s
https://btc.com/ has it at 83.11 EH/s

You will always have variance and occasionally big spikes, but so long as over a few hours or a day you are at 6 blocks an hour then hashrate is about constant.

-Dave

You may want to try the below link,

https://www.blockchain.com/charts/hash-rate?timespan=60days

The hash rate drop is pretty visible! It was standing at 98,120,057 TH/s on September 22nd at 5:30 AM, which then dropped to 67,383,654 TH/s within just 24 hours! For the same period, the median transaction confirmation time has increased to 13 minutes which is highest as compared to the last two month's statistics! I wouldn't wonder if it has direct relation with the market price!
4459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchange Alternatives - What Are The Best Ones Out There? on: September 24, 2019, 05:37:15 PM
Hey guys!

I think this can be very useful to someone who is starting out or maybe wants to change exchange because of some rates or something.

So I added some exchanges on one page where you can choose one post and read it trough.

If you want to see a review/alternative for some exchange, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Here is the page that I am talking about - https://paybis.com/blog/exchange-alternatives/

I must admit your digital marketing capability is great! You indeed researched a lot about an exchange and drawn out every negative points about it, then redirected us to the paybis exchange with a greatly written comparison so that everyone understands the benefit of using Paybis over other exchanges. You should start your own blog and start providing ratings to the exchanges. You are good at it!

For me, Binance is best! Let me know if any other exchange has "SAFU"?
4460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Supply is meeting demand. The number of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide is up over 500% on: September 24, 2019, 04:21:10 PM
Hey, it's Bitrawr. I've been following the Bitcoin ATM landscape for a while now and recently drew attention to the latest figures.

The number of Bitcoin ATMs from September 2016 to September 2019 has increased by over 500%. As of now, there are currently 5,457 Bitcoin ATMs globally. I believe that this is indicative of the strong demand for anonymously transacting between fiat/bitcoin.

https://twitter.com/bitrawr/status/1174682600834764803

It's great if the number of bitcoin ATMs are increasing globally! But that certainly doesn't mean the adoption of bitcoin is also increasing! The kind of premium every ATM charges, is astronomical! I personally prefer p2p transaction over crypto ATM!

However, the increasing number of crypto ATMs are actually good for bitcoin promotion. It will make a lot of local people intrigued about bitcoin and some of them will actually go ahead to search about it or ask others which in turn increase the awareness about bitcoin!
