4441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When the US stock market goes down Bitcoin goes down on: June 18, 2020, 08:46:42 AM
Today, the US stock future goes down near 900 points then the bitcoin prices goes down too.  It happened the same in March 2020 when the US stock market goes down then Bitcoin goes down $4500.  Any one knows the psychology or the mood of the trader?  Thanks.
This might happen at times but this is not the case every time.
Both the markets are independent of each other and it's just the investors perception over the market that makes him to take out the investment from both the markets at the same time. This is not at the case with all people and this is why many times I have seen both the markets going in opposite direction.
Also, you will find very less instances when the US stock market and bitcoin increased together.
Both the markets behave in a different way at different times.
4442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 17, 2020, 03:01:25 PM
This is not the first time when a person has lost money by following others' advice.
If you blindly trust a person then you will surely have to face the consequences.
If you don't do the research on your own, you will surely have to face the loses.
You should have atleast read a few threads on this forum before making such a mistake.
Anyway, you have suffered the loss and realized your mistake. Make sure you don't repeat it and take it as a positive experience.
4443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The dream of Cypherpunks, libertarians and crypto-anarchists on: June 17, 2020, 02:16:06 PM
Wow man. That was a hell heaven of information. I never really cared to read about the early versions of digital money.
Though I knew about hashcash and digicash, I didn't have any idea about b-money and I was happy to read about it and how Satoshi contacted WeiDai regarding it. Thanks for sharing such a great article and I am sure it will help a lot of people like myself and give them more knowledge about the earlier digital financial system.
4444  Local / India / Re: Shocking - With a law, India plans lasting ban on cryptos on: June 17, 2020, 01:40:24 PM
I guess I am late to the party  Grin

To be honest, I am really confused whether I should laugh or feel pity on the person who drafted this bill.
Do you think anybody would pay Rs.25 crore of fine for just holding crypto ?

Imagine an average middle class person holding Rs.1000 worth of BTC and getting caught.
Would he pay Rs. 25 crore of fine ? I can only laugh on this real hard. I know there is a second option of imprisonment of 5 - 10 years.
But how would anybody prove that you are the person holding the coins.
You know there are ways to keep the coins anonymous and just decline the fact that they are yours.

Besides that, previously when the bitcoin/INR transactions were restricted, people still managed to do the transactions other way around.
So even if something like this bill gets approved, I am sure there will be bitcoin/INR transactions going.

4445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum investment for future ?? on: June 16, 2020, 02:38:56 PM
Why not ?
For all the development it has been doing over the years and the upgrade to Proof of Stake for Ethereum has been the hype of the year.
I have seen many people being optimistic about the Ethereum upgrade.
I just like accumulating more ether which is why I like the PoS upgrade since I will be able to stake ether.
4446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: June 16, 2020, 05:47:08 AM
After having a positive news about crypto on their country now they are going to pass on a new bill that would get all the crypto user in their country?
I don't see the reason why they need this one when they was supporting crypto back then why would they need such law now?
This is pretty lame for my opinion letting people know about crypto and making some noise about it and accepting it and now they would make a new law that would imprison the crypto user.
Bud, nobody here said that India is banning crypto. OP is just saying that there is a possibility of such a thing happening.
But I don't see it happening because it's the people who are against crypto who have drafted this so called bill.
These are the people who had raised a case against crypto which was being proceeding in the court since 3 years.
But eventually Supreme court had announce the case in crypto's favour and now since they could not themselves losing the case, they came up with this bill.
Even though they have drafted it, this does not mean that the bill has been passed.
I am quite sure that the Supreme court will not consider this bill and reject it since it has announced the case in crypto's favour earlier.
4447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin Is Old Tech But.... on: June 14, 2020, 05:42:56 AM
I don't consider bitcoin as old tech but I do think that Satoshi never expected so many people using bitcoin all together.
There are problems with bitcoin and I do accept it but it will always stay as a first comer in the crypto industry.

Sometimes things are created not to solve a problem but to open the gates for further advancement, to make new inventions to solve complex problems.
Satoshi did try to eliminate most problems with bitcoin but as he left bitcoin to grow on it's own it made bitcoin to lead the way and with that bitcoin paved the way for better currencies to arrive. Cryptocurrencies like ether are trying to solve many problems which is why I think bitcoin will stay and more better cryptocurrencies will be used to solve more complex problems in future.
4448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: June 14, 2020, 05:34:14 AM
There's a possibility of India to ban crypto again. According to an article by decrypt, "A new bill in India may be proposing up to ten years of prison or fines up to $3.3 million for using cryptocurrency."
If the bill passed, the chance of having Indian into the crypto space will be very low as the punishment is too high.
Source- https://decrypt.co/32160/india-considers-another-widespread-ban-on-bitcoin
This is not the entire truth. This so called bill has not been declared public yet and it's been in the news since a year.
I remember people talking about this bill in 2019 and that crypto might be banned in India but later the Supreme court announced the judgement in favour of the crypto community. So I don't think this bill will be passed since the supreme court is already in the favour of the crypto community.
4449  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO In Crypto; How to identify It on: June 13, 2020, 04:05:23 PM
Those are some good points about FOMO and how to identify it. But FOMO generally comes with a sudden change in the market.
Hence it would always be something that you can't control.

In my perspective, FOMO is bad for everybody since we can be really be stressed because of it.
We would always think about the investment and price and that will distract us in our life.
A successful trader must have the ability to be patient and should not worry if there is any FOMO.
Opportunities keeps coming and we should believe that if we didn't make it in the current market then may be we will do it the next one.

4450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Share]: Someone lost all of his BTC from malicious chrome extension on: June 13, 2020, 08:50:06 AM
It's not the first time when people have fallen for phishing scams. As a crypto user it's our duty to use crypto wisely.
It's very well known that anybody can create a fake extension and use it to scam others.
If we are not paying attention on the little details, it's a huge risk for us since little mistakes tend to make big losses.

I don't understand why people keep all their savings in one place. If the person would have stored it in different places then he would not have encountered the entire loss.
4451  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best advice for Bitcoin ATH investors ?? on: June 13, 2020, 06:27:15 AM
Everybody does a mistake especially when speculating. Buying bitcoin in ATH price surely seems like a burden but if we take things into perspective and build a strategy then we can cut the loss and hence lower the burden.

I have seen people buying at ATH complaining about their losses but there are others as well who don't complaint and rather "do something" to minimize their losses. If your friend has bought bitcoin at ATH then he can do the following

1. Minimize his loss
2. Wait for bitcoin to go to moon (would probably take a long time - you never know though) - Hence not recommended

There are multiple ways to mininmize the loss such as averaging down the buying price by buying more in lower prices, trading actively so that the overall unrealized gains are increased, short term trading etc.. But these still requires skills and have risk of more loss. So think wisely and decide according by doing a good research.
4452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is going on in crypto 💣 on: June 12, 2020, 01:14:37 PM
Yes we do have things lined up for Bitcoin and Ether and we can see how the price is increasing day by day.
It is a good time to buy some coins at a reduced price but at the same time we must be alert if there's a bull trap.
There is still time for the bullish run and you never know when the whales manipulate the market.
4453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Prefer a Bitcoin Mobile Wallet on: June 12, 2020, 12:52:29 PM
I don't think it's a wise idea to compare a hardware wallet and a smartphone wallet since both serve their purposes well.
Instead of comparing the advantages and disadvantages of both we should be classifying both separately on the basis of priority.

If a person needs more security and is willing to put in the effort of securely maintaining it then he should go with a hardware wallet.
If a person needs to use his coins regularly and want it to be handy and wants the ability to continuously monitor it then he should go with a smartphone wallet.

Well that's what I believe. Different people have different perspective.
4454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short suggestion and situation on: June 12, 2020, 07:07:40 AM
Yeah it's true that these days anybody can start making money online but everthing has it's own advantages and disadvantages and before deciding your approach it's a must that we acknowledge these and decide accordingly.

Online jobs gives us the flexibility to work from home but at the same time nobody can guarantee if the income would be stable or not.
Besides that, it's not that easy to get an online job and you must need designated skills to get an online job.

4455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LOOKING BEYOND FINANCE on: June 12, 2020, 06:26:00 AM
The most logical question i seen in recent days even after analyzing lots of days most of the working blockchain projects nothing looks promising most of them lost 99.+ % of its value . APrt from exchange tokens are coins . So i started investing on these exchange coins instead of other coin s. Even most of the Blockcahin technologies failed to prove most anticipated ADA, EOS , TRX everything is struggling . But binance came out as a winner even in this hard time because its exchange token.
Yes, because Binance has quite a large userbase when it comes to exchanges. Also, Binance didn't have it's exchange token before it went mainstream.
So it already had the support from the users which is a sole reason why it became a huge success.

Also, in my perspective, ethereum has become a huge success too since it is the most supported coin after bitcoin.
I see ethereum as a good opportunity right now since I believe that it is going to become a huge success in the long run.
With it's developments and good support from the community, I think there is no stopping to it going beyond $1000.
4456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whales are busy accumulating Ethereum, but Analysts claim it’ll fall. on: June 11, 2020, 08:12:56 AM
I don't find any reason for ethereum to tank unlike the analysts. What is the reason they think that ether will tank ?
For me, I have been accumulating ether quite recently since I believe that holding ether will get me good profits in the long run.
Also, I am being optimistic with the ethereum PoS migration and I am willing to stake some ether so need to accumulate it as much as possible.
4457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when someone says "Do your own research!" on: June 11, 2020, 04:50:43 AM
Nice article but in my opinion it is less than what it should be. While you have explained in brief about what is "Do your own research", you have listed very few resources of doing a research. People generally look for sources where they can do a research. I am sure there are threads in this forum where many resources have been listed and I think you should add them to your article. It's always good to have options.
4458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Useful trading tools on: June 10, 2020, 02:23:04 PM
Instead of repeated posting you can just add it to your list in the OP. That way, you will not have to do repeated posting and users will be able to view additional set of tools in the OP. Also, as others have added some more tools, you can make a consolidated list all through and updated the OP.
4459  Local / India / Re: Are Crypto traders willing to trade for others ? on: June 10, 2020, 01:58:08 PM
I really like your idea and willing help also.I also think that the trust factor is most important in this third party payment mode and i agree that the involvement of exchange can solve this trust problem to certain extent but i think if we can involve government into this and registers as a start up or at least as a business than it can solve both our problem of trust and investment. The only reason why i am suggesting to involve government is due to the recent action of our government and their interest in accepting bitcoin as industry.Government is also planning to build a platform that can keep track on holders of bitcoin and quantity and we can help them with this to certain extent. On the other hand involvement of government will insure less frauds.I may be wrong but i think that this startup idea can emerge as future if executed in right manner and government gets involve in positive manner. What are your take on it?
Yeah, I kinda acknowledged the fact trust will be the main concern here and I have an idea where people will trust us for sure.
This doesn't even need to include the governments. But I don't know if it would require approvals from government authorities or not since the idea is to trade with people's money. I guess it must need a certain kind of registration since similar startups need a registration before beginning their businesses in the market. It's quite obvious that it would require a good team to proceed. So I will propose my idea to anybody who is willing to join and contribute to this project.
We will first discuss if the project is viable and if there is any potential for it in the current market.
4460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not suitable as a currency, it's a store of value on: June 10, 2020, 07:51:22 AM
To be honest, in my opinion, bitcoin can never replace fiat because there is a 'necessity' for physical cash to be present as an alternative mode of payment.
We can't completely rely on digital payments since there can occur rare incidents such as internet outage due to flood, earthquake, tornado in some areas due to which people will have to rely on physical cash and fiat is surely one of the best physical mode of payments as of date.
Also, pandemics such as Covid-19 shows that on such scenarios it is always best to hold some physical cash to buy household things quickly.

Talking about the digital mode of payments, bitcoin can be a really good method for large payments and international transfers since those are the ones which generally takes time and charges. Bitcoin can strive to solve this problem.
