Anybody with a solid rep wanna volunteer to code this fork? I'll work on getting the miners to reach "consensus". We only do 100% consensus around here. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Check this out: The ANN was made on august 10 The 9th there was no mined blocks. Safely we can consider all the blocks up to 6050 as premine. It looks like, apart a very few isolated cases looking more like tests, the premine is still there, untouched.it means that backlisting the first 6050 blocks, we get rid of all the premine. http://darkgamex.ch:2751/chain/ixcoin?count=6052&hi=6051For some reason I always assumed Thomas never touched the premine but rather chose to pay out of pocket for bounties. That's what I would have done to prove the premine wasn't a get rich scam. But check this out: Why blacklist anything which would set such a bad precedent. Those coins belong to the community so can we figure out a way to put them into a massive mega-faucet?

Lol, ixcoin can't get an update passed by the miners, so a fork has zero chance in hell.
You could try burning your coins and start ixcoin 2.0
Maybe you can convince the majority of ixcoin holders to move ova, but again, you will need miners to support this new coin.
Also no one knows how many ixcoin have not been "lost"
Good luck!
iXcoin 2.0 isn't the best option - we would lose part of our original identity. The miners will play ball - we just have to find the best solution so we don't create another, potentially bigger, problem.

I don't know, I not buying his story yet.
Mark my words, Dr. Wright is Satoshi and he's getting the patents to go to war against anyone who tries to stop Bitcoin. They may end up splitting Bitcoin in two if they can't agree on scaling but that's what the patents are for, WAR!!! And if my sweet Thomas Nasakioto really is from Australia then there is a decent probability that Wright also created iXcoin. And if that is true, then God help cryptoworld [and the matrix with their paper funny money] cause all hell is gonna break loose if I get cut loose. It's gonna be a two-way [tag-team] New World War.
|
|
|
What do you look to accomplish by doing this?
When I have talked to guys like Brock Pierce one major objection they had regarding iXcoin is the premine. It's something that won't go away. Personally I don't get it since many top coins have had massive premines and nobody has cared, but that's the way it is. So I hope to remove the one hurdle [the premine] we still have which may prevent us from signing major partners or bringing in top talent.

Question: are the unredeem coins really 'his'?
No, the premine, as outlined by Thomas himself, belongs to the community.

I have a feeling bitcoin will be around forever, truly like some digital gold. Some countries will embrace it, some reject it. It doesn't care for patents, it can and will flow through borders. And if you want to really remain a part of it, the day will come when YOU must move your arse through a few borders too.
Long time, brother. Bitcoin may face some rocky moments this summer but I think it has too much money and momentum behind it to fail anytime soon. Longer run is too hard to tell but short term, Bitcoin should sky rocket to unbelievable levels. After this whole scaling issue is done with in the coming months.

And we do a hard fork like Eth?
Not sure a hard fork is needed but it definitely made me think of ETH and the backlash they're getting over there. I would prefer a better solution but one isn't coming to mind. Anyone have a better suggestion?

Can you post links to his patents please?
I don't have a link to all the patents but NewsBTC just wrote a piece making Dr. Wright look evil like he's trying to destroy Bitcoin. Personally I think he's gonna bring war, just like the stegankgraphic messages he posted which everyone ignored and laughed at. NewsBTC talks about some of the patents and apparently Dr. Wright plans to go crazy and file for some 400 patents over the coming months. Like I've been saying, it's gonna be a hot summer!!! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) --- 400 Patent Applications On The Agenda[NewsBTC] - This past week, EITC Holdings Ltd – which is run by two of Wright’s associates – filed another 11 patent applications. Even if some of these claims were granted, it would be a significant turn of events in the history of Bitcoin. With so many financial institutions exploring this technology, Wright would make a killing from all of these patents. Among the applications are projects such as an online content paying mechanism – similar to micro tipping with Bitcoin – and a blockchain-based IoT operating system. Some sources indicate EITC Holdings is planning to apply for a total of 400 different Bitcoin and blockchain-based applications in the coming months.

IMPORTANT:
Ok, Thomas is not responding and we have to deal with the premine issue somehow.
The best solution seems to be to blacklist the unredeemed addresses to which Thomas mined to, forever killing the premine.
The problem with this is the fact we would be blacklisting his premine addresses. Given it's the premine we're blacklisting, would everyone be ok with that? I know people freak out when they hear certain buzzwords like blacklist.
Say something now cause this has to be done soon to shut everyone up about the premine.
Regards,
Vlad

I saw that earlier. GREAT read. I'm convinced Dr. Wright is SATOSHI and he's about to make another entrance! This time he's gonna drop bombs! I can't wait!!! Edit: It's amazing to watch those who worshipped and sucked the most Satoshi dick all these years are now the ones mocking Dr. Wright. What a great way to come out; to allow the fakes to expose themselves. I've never been a Bitcoin or Satoshi guy yet I immediately recognized what I saw as the real deal!!!

Bahahaaaaa - I told you muppets Dr. Wright wasn't going away [Cause he's the real SATOSHI]!!!

Australian Bitcoin Founder Quietly Bidding for Patent Empire
(Reuters) - Craig Wright, the Australian who claimed to be the inventor of bitcoin, is attempting to build a large patent portfolio around the digital currency and technology underpinning it, according to associates of his and documents reviewed by Reuters. Since February, Wright has filed more than 50 patent applications in Britain through Antigua-registered EITC Holdings Ltd, which a source close to the company confirmed was connected to Wright, government records show. --- Satoshi, you hit'em high and I'll destroy everything [that gets in the way] from the bottom up!!!

I set mintxfee=0.00100000 and network accept my transactions.
Thanks!
I vaguely remember setting a fee a long time ago to prevent spam like what happened with Bitcoin. Not 100% sure though. Glad it worked for you. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Thought it was another code. Yeah, that's funny. Was hoping to merge mind SHT with BTC. Couldn't set a higher goal than that. lol

I know, I know!!! Bitcoin!!! Thanks for showing me this, now I feel the need to kill LiteCoin too. Too many people think that litecoin came right after Bitcoin which is not even close to the truth. Ltc wasn't even the first scrypt coin. Interesting what coblee said when launching litecoin: - ixcoin - Nasakioto premined 580k coins. Seemed like a pump and dump. Competed with Bitcoin for GPU resources - Dead (~2 gh/s)
- i0coin - Basically ixcoin without the premine. Not much support was given to this coin after it was released. - Dead (~5 gh/s)
Source Lee declared ixcoin dead almost 5 years ago Ixcoin has been declared dead so many times. Which other coin has been declared so many times dead without never been really dead? Bitcoin

Time will tell, the BTC from the Australian auction will be available for dumping either next week or later. If BTC can hold its over $750 price for 30 days, then it may be its new level, but personally I sincerely doubt it. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Problem is we have no way of knowing where the eth money will flow, the majority may go to fiat , which helps no crypto. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) The ETH money should flow mostly into alts. The top alts then probably flow into the cheaper alts. But Bitcoin should continue higher as long as there's no attack on the network.
