Haaland problem seems to be still not solved. Some people are really confident about him not leaving Dortmund this summer. But some other people think that Chelsea will manage to end this deal successfully somehow. They are already willing to pay huge amount of money for him. He is a candidate to become the second most expensive player in history. This situation really resembles City's trying to sign Kane but Tottenham's doing everything they can to keep him.

Manchester City are getting close to signing Harry Kane day by day. It looks like Tottenham are preparing to accept a 160 million-pound deal. The player is already willing to go there. I wish Kane left this team much earlier but it's not a problem. I'm happy to see that he's doing the right thing about his career. Otherwise he'd rot at Tottenham by winning 0 title. I wish him happy years at City.

According to the news I've heard, Kylian Mbappe stated it firmly that he didn't want to extend his contract with PSG and he wanted to leave the team this summer or the next one. His contract is running until 2022 now. It'd be a huge loss of money for PSG, if they don't succeed in selling him now. They wouldn't like to let him go for free. If Real Madrid have the financial power to pay the transfer fee and meet his demands, then they can go for him I think. Or they can wait for one more season and get him for free.  Grin

https://www.90min.com/posts/chelsea-transfer-news-timo-werner-open-to-leaving-dortmund-bayern

According to this source, Chelsea's young striker Timo Werner is open to leaving Chelsea this summer. He would like a move to a Bundesliga club again. Maybe he would go back to Leipzig again. I don't think that Dortmund or Bayern would like to sign him unless they lose their best strikers (Haaland and Lewandowski). Maybe Chelsea can use Werner in a swap + money deal with one of these teams for one of the two players I mentioned.

That is pretty much the only source putting it this way. What I just found is that Chelsea is allegedly planning to let Werner go if they can then realize a mega deal with either Lewandowski or Haaland. Werner's advisor said a few weeks ago that there won't be any transfer for Werner right now. I also don't believe that Werner wants to leave Chelsea. He is very likely earning a shit ton of money and it doesn't that much sense to let Werner go if Lewandowski or Haaland comes since both are playing in the center, Werner isn't. I don't think there is any substance to these rumors.

Yeah, maybe it's really like you said. And Werner can play as a winger also. If Haaland or Lewandowski comes to this team, Tuchel would prefer Werner as a winger in the starting eleven. He may be better there and contribute much bigger also, who knows. But if Werner still has a bad season again, then Chelsea would have no choice rather than getting rid of him. I also think that Chelsea are actually one of the perfect clubs for Werner. But the guy still has problems on getting accustomed to it.

There have been just rumours like Robert Lewandowski would be signed by Chelsea or Manchester City. And it is said that a €50m offer will be made by Chelsea. But I think that this kind of an offer is not good enough for a very deadly striker like Lewandowski. His market value is even €60m now. And if I were Bayern Munich's manager, I wouldn't let him go unless getting at least an €100m offer. Lewandowski really deserves the best of the offers. When you have him at your team, you start the games 1-0 ahead. Therefore, I think that Bayern will keep him in the new season also.

Wow €100m you think is a fair price ? Robert Lewandowski is currently 32 years old of course, age will be a factor in considering the selling price
I'm not sure €100m is a fair price, €50-60m is a fair price. Usually a player can play a maximum before reaching 35 years old

To be honest, I'm not sure about what price would be really fair for him. I gave it as an example. I meant that Bayern wouldn't sell him unless they get an offer including a great deal of money. He is 32 years old but still scoring so many goals. There are not many players at this age who can do that. But who knows, maybe e.g. Chelsea will sign him for a price around €50-60m this summer.

I absolutely enjoyed the 6th game and Giannis' huge performance the most. He got 50 points which was really insane. I've never seen him this focused and this good. Rather than the team, actually he won the game by himself. He scored half the points of the team. Suns had a big difficulty in keeping pace with him. Congrats to Bucks for winning the title! And it was really unlucky for Suns. Maybe they will not get a similar chance for years.

I appreciated Ronaldo's statement about not playing at Manchester City as they are the rival club of Manchester Utd. Because Ronaldo has really good memories at Manchester Utd. If he is to come back to the EPL, I think that it should definitely be Manchester Utd. But for now, he doesn't seem like he is thinking of a move here. If Juventus continued with Pirlo, then I'd be 100% sure that he'd leave the team. But now they have Allegri and Ronaldo is happy about the situation also.

It looks like Manchester Utd and Real Madrid both are trying to sign Leon Goretzka. He has only one year left on his contract. He is 26 years old and he is a quite valuable player for Bayern Munich. In the last season, he played in 32 games. He scored 8 goals and made 9 assists. I think that it's quite good for a central midfielder. He's played for 3 seasons there. And Bayern got him on a free transfer. His market value is now €70m. If they sell him for a price around his market value, it will be a huge profit for them.

~snip~They won the Serie A title quite easily and Juventus were too far away from them in the standings. But now, I see Juventus being more advantageous in the new season compared to Inter. Because we don't know what Inter players will do with Inzaghi. Will they have any adaptation problems to his system or not?
~snip~
Do you think the Juve squad is the same as Inter? I do not think so. I prefer Juventus, last season they didn't win because they had new, inexperienced players. Now that Alegri is coming maybe he will recompose but I don't think it will be big. Then regarding Inter, are they healthy. The club's financial news that was not good made Conte leave, the club could not fulfill the desire to buy new players. In addition, regarding the group sunning, I heard that it was difficult and limited funds flow to Inter because of restrictions by China.

I think that they both have a really great squad. They just need to make the difference with their game. And the coach is also a very important factor. Because not all of the coaches' game plans are the same in the end. Juventus had a really good squad but Pirlo was the unfitting piece of the team. Now he's left the club and Allegri has come. Having a powerful squad and a great manager can help Juventus win the title this season.

The latest news, Tottenham says that Harry Kane will not leave they assured that Kane would stay at Tottenham, on the other hand, Man City still has options, one of which is signing Lewandowski of course Kane is the main target because he is younger and has a future. For me these two players have the same potential.
Kane's decision will play a really big role on this. Some time ago, Kane stated clearly that he wanted to leave. I wonder if he is still very decisive about it. If it's the situation, Tottenham can't keep him at the team this summer. It could even affect Kane's performance badly in the new season if Tottenham don't let him go.
If City don't sign him, there are some top strikers like Haaland and Lewandowski also. I guess they will reach an agreement with one of these 3 players in this summer.
There is information that Kane has already decided to leave Tottenham and has already agreed a personal contract with Manchester City. Also before that, there was information that Kane told his colleagues in the national team that he would boycott Tottenham's training sessions if the club did not release the player. Moreover, an offer from Manchester City has already been officially announced and Josep Guardiola himself has already expressed in an interview that Kane is the main goal of the club in this transfer window. Therefore, I think that the owner of Tottenham will still be more accommodating and will no longer interfere with agreeing a deal to the mutual satisfaction of the parties.

I haven't heard any news about Manchester City offering a deal to Kane. This is really great for Kane then. Manchester City are one of the teams that he wants to go to really much. And City have the necessary financial power to get him. After City finish this transfer, I wonder if Guardiola will make some changes in his game plan. Because I think he must do it. In the last season, midfielders scored even more than strikers or scored the same. But now they will have Kane. Kane is a player who loves to score many goals. They can't use him differently and they shouldn't. I expect Kane to be the "target man" in the new game plan.

According to AS, Manchester Utd are really close to ending Varane deal in a few days successfully. The player is already very keen on going there. Real Madrid should start looking for strong defenders already now. If they don't make the necessary transfers, they may have big problems on winning the league title. By saying necessary transfers, I mean a CB and a top CF.

I think that Verstappen made a really big mistake there. He shouldn't have tried to close the inside too much. It was very obvious that Hamilton was going to try something at Copse corner. Verstappen should have stayed outside. He could still have gotten his place back after that. Because he was faster than Hamilton actually. I'm happy that Verstappen doesn't have any health problems or injury now.

Barcelona in desperate push to offload players and keep Lionel Messi
"Messi is still a free agent and Barηa will only be able to announce his deal once the club clear some of their debt." (theguardian.com)

Yeah, they still couldn't manage to sign a new contract with Lionel Messi. They still need to sell some players and increase their budget. If Barcelona fail on this, I wonder if Messi won't play for one season or not. If he really wants to continue at Barcelona, I think that he will take the chance of waiting for one season. PSG couldn't meet his demands. Maybe City can. But if City sign Harry Kane, I don't think that they would be very eager to spend much more money.

Now Inter have Simone Inzaghi as their coach instead of Antonio Conte. They had an incredible season with Conte. They won the Serie A title quite easily and Juventus were too far away from them in the standings. But now, I see Juventus being more advantageous in the new season compared to Inter. Because we don't know what Inter players will do with Inzaghi. Will they have any adaptation problems to his system or not? And Juventus have Allegri finally after having a terrible season with Pirlo. I believe that Allegri will make a huge difference for them. I expect a much more productive and strong Juventus in the new season in the Serie A. I think that they will compete very well for the title and maybe even win it.
4476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: July 18, 2021, 06:45:42 PM

And Chelsea really surprise me. They are after Haaland also and willing to pay €175m to be able to sign him. To get Varane, they will have to sacrifice at least €50m. Do they really have this much budget now?

Although Chelsea won the Champions League last season, they did not do well in the Premier League. Their weakness was their weak forward. So they definitely need a skilled striker for next season. With Vaarane in the squad, Chelsea will be stronger. Chelsea may win another title next season.

They had Werner but he wasn't able to meet the expectations of the team. He was such a disappointment after having a great season at Leipzig. He had a big difficulty in getting accustomed to the Premier League. He missed too many goal opportunities.

Now, Chelsea want to make up for this situation. It seems like they will sell Tammy Abraham. And they will do everything they can to bring Haaland here. If Haaland comes to Chelsea, I assume that they will use a tactic with one striker. Therefore, Werner will be his substitute then. Maybe this can incentivize Werner to play much better and we could see a productive performance from him also when he gets the chance to play.

It was a really great race. Charles Leclerc was so close to a victory after a 2-year period without getting one. His pace was really good considering his car. But he had engine problems time to time and Ferrari engineers hardly managed to fix it. His pit stop was quite decent also. But still, he didn't have so much thing to do against a beast like Hamilton.  Cheesy  He was just incredibly fast that he caught up with Leclerc before the final lap and got past him easily. Leclerc couldn't defend much as the power of his car wasn't big enough to compete against him. Still he ended at the 2nd place and it was a great job.

Perez got the fastest lap but Hamilton won the race and got 25 more points. And the gap between Verstappen and Hamilton is now 8 points. The competition for the title has fired up even more now. I'm looking forward to see the Hungarian GP in two weeks.

According to today's news on BBC Sport, Chelsea are hoping to sign Bayern Munich's wonderful striker Robert Lewandowski. There are some speculations like they will make an offer valued £50m to him. The 32-year-old player has a contract with Bayern running until 2023. And I'm very sure that he's still quite happy there. Therefore, I think that Chelsea won't be able to succeed in this effort.
I also saw yesterday an article where they was talking about apossible transfer from Robert Lewandowski to Chelsea , but the chance are very small .
Bayern Munich will not let him go for sure as he has a contract as you have written to 2023.
In my opinion i guess he will fill this contract and maybe after that he will stay in munich.

I also feel like he won't leave Bayern Munich ever. He's had great years at Bayern after being sold by Dortmund. He's continuing to destroy new records. And he seems quite happy about it. They are just dominating the Bundesliga and playing very seriously in the Champions League. I don't think that he'd like to bother himself going to another club. Therefore, Chelsea should look for other top strikers.

I've heard that Chelsea also have joined the race to sign Varane. Now, it seems like Chelsea, PSG and Manchester Utd are putting a good effort to bring Varane to the club. A few days ago, it was said that Manchester Utd and Varane agreed personal terms. But still there is no news more serious than it.

And Chelsea really surprise me. They are after Haaland also and willing to pay €175m to be able to sign him. To get Varane, they will have to sacrifice at least €50m. Do they really have this much budget now?
