Is this vanity address generator safe? I heard before the service like this make your private key held by third party which can take your coin anytime.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Good question. Its safe because I never have your final private key.
You generate your private key and send me the public key.
I generate a partial private key where the combined public keys result in your vanity address.
You combine both private keys into a new private key only you know to get the finished vanity address. Due to the way private and public keys work this is safe as long as bitcoin itself is safe.
Knowing the partial private key gives me no advantage when trying to find the exact private key for your address. Well, almost no advantage. Instead of checking 2256 possible private keys I only have to check (2256)-1 private keys. So I have a few fractions of a picosecond advantage on a race that lasts till the sun burns out.

can u prove that u say?
Can u proof that your server doesn't store final private keys?

As the private key is not generated on my machine I can "prove" that I dont store it, yes. The private key I have has a different address, only in combination with your part will it result in the address requested.

I cant prove the underlying mathematics of combined private keys for eliptic curves, no. My math is not good enough for that, its just good enough to understand why its secure. If you are interested I suggest you read this[1] post. It has some minor mistakes regarding the way the addition works for eliptic curves as was pointed out here[2] which links this[3] document (pg. 12) as source. For a simple, but correct introduction to eliptic curves in general I suggest this[4] presentation by djb. He and Tanja Lange explain it with clocks which is IMHO a very good way to understand the fundamental concept. To transfer this here. Both keys combined spin around the clock and end up in a spot I can not predict from only my part.

How much would 1TriggerX cost for case sensitive and non case sensitive?

1TriggerX w/o case would cost you 0.2337 BTC (takes a few weeks depending on luck) - diff: 23,349,487,483,220
1TriggerX with exact case would take a few years. The estimated price would be 72.5166 BTC, but its not something I would want to do - diff: 2,988,734,397,852,220

1Trigger w/o case would cost you 0.0084 BTC

Edit: To explain why its different from 1abcdefgh: 1T or 1t at the beginning is more difficult than 1[a,A] or even 1[k,K], the "i" has no upper case symbol in base58 so its essentially with case which does the rest. I added an example for that case. "q" seems to be the letter where it starts.

How much would 1bitbaby cost, case insensitive?

I had couple of made before to use in the forum but I lost their private keys but thankfully they didn't have any funds in them.

1bitbaby w/o case would cost you 0.00035 BTC if thats acceptable send the amount to 1vanityybUbbYsiJjAGiNK7vdJkNCqm2e and me a public key.

Do you have the ability to have vanitygen continue checking for addresses until multiple have been found of either the same criteria or of different criteria?

For example can you tell it to continue looking until it has found 3x of 1abcdefgh and/or to continue looking until it has found 1abcdefgh, 1ijklmnop and 1qrstuv?

Only for the same pubkey or without providing a pubkey and I cant limit it to a certain number or strike off results. There are basically two flags that help, but are not as flexible as one would hope.

#1 is -k it ensures vanitygen keeps going after finding a key. It does not stop a certain number though, it has to be cancled manually.

#2 is -f pattern.txt it allows you to store any amount of prefixes in a file and it will search for all of them at once. If it finds any it will stop (or not with -k). It will keep finding easier (low diff) results though and not strike them off the list.

E.g. this is the file I made for referee

Code:
1Referee
1referee
1R3feree
1r3feree
1Ref3ree
1ref3ree
1Refer3e
1refer3e
1Refere3
1refere3
1R3f3ree
1r3f3ree
1R3fer3e
1r3fer3e
1R3fere3
1r3fere3
1R3f3r3e
1r3f3r3e
1R3f3re3
1r3f3re3

There is also -r which allows to search for regular expressions (e.g. the above would be 1[R,r][e,3]f[e,3]r[e,3]{2}). Thats however not working with the GPU.

yo mate, 5:18 am here, just looking at what is the things avaliable around here.

2224 here. Vanitygen ran for ~8 hours during the day, but I had no luck yet. Just restarted it and will check back tomorrow morning. Sometimes its bad luck and takes longer. Of course this will not change the price, I am aware of the risks involved. It just means it takes a little longer. I will also not give longer calculations (>30 minutes) priority over yours.
4471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Payment using both tumbled and un-tumbled coins? on: November 25, 2015, 08:56:44 PM
In order to prevent all possibility of tracking your bitcoin addresses, you must mix bitcoins both entering and leaving the wallet.

If you mix only bitcoins entering the wallet, then your addresses and all your spending can be tracked by anyone that you send bitcoins to.

If you mix only bitcoins leaving your wallet, then your addresses and all your income can be tracked by anyone that sends you bitcoins.

Something else you need to consider: the mixer can track everything.

This is an important issue, thanks for bringing that up. Mixers should be switched from time to time. It might be even a good idea to use high volume services as mixers, e.g. old long running casinos or exchanges. You can also go the extra mile and use an exchange that also trades in alts and switch currencies for mixing sake.
4472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Payment using both tumbled and un-tumbled coins? on: November 25, 2015, 08:48:34 PM
If you wish to have better privacy, you should use another wallet service.
Shorena clearly mentioned why (input selection and access to your IP).

A wallet like Armory should do the trick, although it requires you to download the whole blockchain.

Electrum is fine for this case. They dont have to worry about connecting bitcoin addresses if all coins that come in have no connection to the exchange and the real IP can not be connected to the wallet.

To give a generic example: It would be an issue for someone that scammed bitcoin on a certain address and wants to try again or hide their tracks. Connected addresses are a common way to proof someone with an alt account scammed in the past. Thats why I asked what this is about. You can always go all out and run your own full node over tor, mix all TX etc, but for most people a few things are enough to achieve their goal. This is also allows options e.g. OP could also use Mycelium or most other wallets (and even some services) over Tor.

4474  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stunna, primedice owner. Would you give a hearthless guy your money? on: November 25, 2015, 08:37:56 PM
Hi, Long short story, I played on primedice 15k$ 100 after 100 and lost it all. I created an acc in this forum to ask him if I could get 1/5 of what I lost on his game back as a loan, as I have two childrens, I will lose as I played all my money and I'am -xxxx with my bank. I already know how stupid I'am. Trust me on this one. But I have a decent job and side projects and I would be able to give him back within 6 months. Nonthless to say he stopped answering after have refused.
Now, if I were at his place, after have earned 15k$ from an idiot which is losing its kids, I would give back 1/5 of it as a loan. I know any human with some hearth would.

So I suggest you to bet your money if you really want somewhere else. Maybe cloudbet I heard is good.

I suggest you seek help

So how do I (and other Newbies here) learn about the encryption aspect - how do we encrypt a paper wallet?

I'm sure there's plenty of information available, perhaps you could point us in the right direction (if a simple explanation is not possible or appropriate.)

If you use something like bitaddress.org (download it and use it offline!) its as easy as ticking a box and entering a password. Most mobile wallets (like e.g. Mycelium) that can import via QR scanner can decrypt them for sweeping/spending.

knightdk and/or shorena,

Do either of you get worried that the paper wallet will get lost or destroyed? Paper is such a delicate and pershible medium. I guess keeping the details of the wallet (the addresses) in multiple locations is wise and using something like Trezor or Armory is recommended but it really makes me worry having my bitcoin vault sitting in a safe in my home or office or bank...any of those places are vulnerable!
Yes. I keep multiple copies of paper wallets in various places. They are encrypted using BIP38 so that even if someone finds the wallet, they cannot spend the coins. If something were to happen to one of my hiding places, there are other places where I keep the same wallet so that the bitcoin doesn't get lost.

Im not really worried they get lost or destroyed. Consider that a birth certificate is made of paper as well. Storage for a paperwallet can also be good looking[1]. Its certainly not something you carry around in your pants or wallet. Encryption is IMHO a must. As knightdk writes its also important to have several in different spots to spread the risks.

4479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Payment using both tumbled and un-tumbled coins? on: November 25, 2015, 05:56:06 PM
It would not be necessary to send all of the coins through the mixer, just the ones that you bought. Only those new ones are linked to your identity. After mixing them, then they would not be linked to you. However, this also means that the two addresses will be linked to each other, but they won't be linked back to you so it is ok.

I thought of this, but I'm not sure how to send only the new (unmixed) coins? From what I can see (I'm using Electrum), I can't specify that when sending. Or would sending the exact amount of bitcoin that I bought use all of those coins which are still linked to me?

Thats correct. Electrum does not allow you to select which inputs[1] you use. The idea is that you mix or tumble all bitcoins that go into your electrum wallet and thus it does not matter if they are connected towards eachother as no address from your electrum wallet is connected to you as a person. Keep in mind that electrum servers can connect the addresses to your IP address if you dont use tor or an anonymous VPN.
