Can satoshi or the main of the bitcoin who made it, can he decide to recover the lost bitcoins that people lost them.

No, you'd create a fork. The code is right there, its not centralized, so you can't just say, oh so i have access *change random stuff*.

4463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stolen bitcoins! can i do anything on: July 25, 2015, 07:49:51 AM
The op has still not given more information, so there is not much else to debate...

The first fault here is probably trusting some shifty online wallet?

There's some at least legit even if not super secure online web wallet that one could use.

A wallet that's created in mere seconds and revolve around a url...
4464  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: July 25, 2015, 01:23:29 AM
Hmm. I think i would, but i would need more variance in my job than participate and post in forum discussion all day everyday. I mine at home and try to pickup good deals for my farm, but i will need to find more options.

I'm not really interested in trading, but i'll still be keeping an eye out for opportunities. The Publicity Campaign is a nice start, but i have only so much to say in a given day.
4465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the red flags to watch out for when avoiding P&D coins? on: July 25, 2015, 01:09:43 AM
I personally noticed things such as;

Significant pre-mine, ninja launch, copy-paste job, no innovation or unproven innovation or features.

Its been a bit. I'm still looking.

If you're thinking of selling any of the mentioned miners, please contact me. Smiley
4467  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hot cables on S3, what am I doing wrong? on: July 25, 2015, 12:01:54 AM
How did you have the power plugged in?  Did you have 2 pcie plugs plugged in from same power cord on each side?   IE one power cord and split into 2 pcie plugs.
The corsair has 4 individual cables with pcie connectors coming out of it, i have two in each miner.  I don't know about the rails on the inside of the PSU though.  They may be basically together inside the case.  Im going to switch to those Dells as soon as I can get some PCIe cables in.

I am thinking that there was a voltage surge and your PSU got damaged and let too much current into the miner. Generally its not a good idea to keep miners running during a storm.
Yes I agree that is probably what happened to the one with the board that quit working.  Its in the server room at my office.  Living in FL, I can't unplug during every storm or it would never be plugged in LOL.

Since all the heat seems to be concentrated at the connection you should of had a bad connection on the pin or corrosion that caused them to over heat.  S3+ should not have problems like that even with 18 AWG.
I pay pretty close attention to detail and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary on the connector or the pins.  I also thought an s3+ shouldn't have problems like that on an 850 watt psu, granted there we're 2 s3s on this psu but still.

I see, this must be the miner we discussed. I would like to know, were the PSU plugged in a surge protection power bar? I have mine on and i assumed they are safe from surges.
4468  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Miningrigrentals and Betarigs Renters...... on: July 24, 2015, 11:56:53 PM
I'm afraid people who don't read your instructions on MRR certainly won't read this either. XD
4469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stolen bitcoins! can i do anything on: July 24, 2015, 11:28:13 PM
You can try to track the transaction but you can't charge it back or anything.

You might want to stick to wallets listed on the official bitcoin website.

https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I can't say Rush wallet is a scam but its hard to tell if its secure or not...

Regardless, sorry for your losses. Good luck.

Keep us updated on if you win a block! I'd love to hear you did!!

Maybe i'll use it as a lottery ticket Grin

They use even less electricity so running them on unpowered USB should be a-ok!
4471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Setting up a bitcoin business on: July 24, 2015, 06:39:30 AM
i would love to set up an online business that accepts bitcoin as a payment option
more payment options = more sales
between CC payment and BTC, i'll go with BTC but i can accept both if ever i have a website set up

You can simply register with payment processor which accept BTC and pay the merchant in desired currency. BTC -> BTC is usually less fees however.
4472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: July 24, 2015, 06:38:02 AM
I earned my first bitcoin with GPU mining on LTC, back when it was profitable. However i didn't get into the gold rush at start. I didn't have decent enough GPU back then~

I still have 3x S3+'s for sale for $75+Shipping each. All work 100%. Very low use. Haven't used them since April.

Cool, i want them. But i'm in Canada, which is why i assumed you never replied to my offer. I'll pm.
4474  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Radeon-based barebones GPU Rig on: July 21, 2015, 06:41:05 PM
You don't happen to live in Québec, do you?

No, but I'll gladly provide a shipping lable as part of the escrow transaction if you provide a shipping address and weight of the machine. Why? Whatcha got for me  Grin

Something that can't really be packed xD

If you could of had come by maybe we could have figured something out. The whole thing is worth a fair lot more than 1btc anyways.

But just for fun, here is a pic of the Washing Machine rack i modified to host 2 gpu+ rig. I was planning on building a second floor, but then gpu mining sort of died out.
https://i.imgur.com/xymzHnX.jpg for some reason i dont have a picture of the finished thing on me.

Enjoy the free bump xD

This does not mean that the body can absorb acid orally, then package it into ammo magazine for your soldier cells to pew with.
4476  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2015, 06:01:30 PM
My worse mistake was not selling Paycoins during the PUMP at 15$usd per Paycoin. I was expecting it to raise further and even maybe really get 20$ per.
My second worse mistake was not selling Paycoins after the DUMP at 4-6$usd per Paycoin.
4477  Economy / Services / Re: OPEN SPOTS [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: July 21, 2015, 04:57:34 PM
Hmm. When i copy paste the Full Member code integrally into Signature: it break up the signature horribly, did i miss something?

Did you scroll all the way across? There's lots of code hidden to the right that doesn't show up in the box unless you keep going right.

Yeah i scrolled all the way to the bottom right. But it is still fragmented. Buggy clipboard? I don't know, can this be sent through PMs?

edit: http://pastebin.com/vmusEA2U

edit2: NEVERMIND. xD if you look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=265048 it is fragmented, on the forum posts it look fine. I guess i'll leave it up for now. Smiley

Because it's smaller resolution. Try to open Bitcointalk on your mobile device and check our signatures in this thread.

I get what you mean.

Tho on my cellphone(Nexus5), the sig in threads are perfect. The sig in profile, mine actually look kind of better, and your's is integral, look a bit stretched tho.
4478  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SIDEHACK STICK] Group Buy for Canada on: July 21, 2015, 04:48:23 PM
Yes you have time. Im adding you to the list. Waiting for btc.

Last second +1 for me.

It's "cool" and the real time data is nice, but the animation feel just like frill, bell and whistles and i don't find it very useful.

It must have been a fun project to make.
