4462  Other / Meta / Re: My account was hacked. Please help me. PROOFS inside. on: March 05, 2015, 04:02:49 AM
This sounds similar to what happened to me. But instead mine was a 999dice.exe supposedly dice bot I downloaded. My account was stolen last month. I've pm'ed both Theymos and Badbear too without a response. I'm gonna start doing it every hour until its resolved. I don't want to be a dick about it, but when someone messages and messages and don't even get a fuck off it does tend to piss ppl off. I know ppl have lives and other shit to do, but goddamn. Whats the point of having these procedures if nothing is going to be done about it. My accounts fucked anyways, but I don't want that theiving whore to possess it.

Well, if you do like that, you may not get your account. Send PM twice a week or two.

Edit: I'm also looking for someone to help me out for a sec. I don't know if I'm signing the message right or not. I need someone that will talk to me and let me try to send them one. I have both Coinbase and BTC-QT. Message me plz.

See http://blog.anonymousads.com/2014/03/new-feature-sign-in-with-your-bitcoin.html?m=1. It's outdated but if you know how to go to 'Address' tab, you can do the rest.

4463  Other / Meta / Re: Who created this forum??? on: March 05, 2015, 03:54:49 AM
could be an account with satoshi name used by some people, and satoshi is in fact not one person but a group of people. do not matter who made this forum. but the most important is how to keep this forum in order to remain there

I don't think Satoshi is a few people but there is a chance. If he is a few people, then he writing language will be different but there wasn't any claimings it was different though there was a claiming his English is so fluent and great.

4464  Other / Meta / Re: Any alternative to signing a message on: March 05, 2015, 03:48:00 AM
It is really not a good idea to be getting any kind of payment at an exchange so you should probably cease this practice.

Mt Gox, Bitstamp, Bter are good examples. Please don't store in an exchange, you will loose your BTC anytime. There us no guarantee for that

One alternative would be to sign a PGP signed message, however I somewhat doubt you even have a PGP key, let alone know how to sign a PGP message nor even know what PGP is, or have one associated with your profile.

Donwload GnuPG and install it. It will be easy to create a PGP key with it. After you create, upload it to https://pgp.mit.edu and send the link via PM to 'DefaultTrust' saying that this is your PGP public key and if you're using a normal wallet, copy-paste your BTC address.

I would say a PGP message would probably be more secure then a bitcoin message as there are a number of reasons why a bitcoin private key could be transferred to another person, while there are virtually zero reasons why a PGP key would ever be transferred.

If a person is selling an account and if PGP is linked to the account, there is a chance the person will sell PGP and BTC address. There is many ways your PGP can be sold to get some $$$.

I think 'Real Notification' feature will be added to the New Forum Software. I read it somewhere. Did you check the DOC in the pinned post in this child-board?

I prefer use Blockchain than others, just pay 0.1 mBtc for any transfer  Cool

Every wallet is like that. It is the recommended fee. 0.0001BTC/1000 bytes. So if your transaction is greater than 1000 bytes, you will have to pay 0.0002BTC but if you want only to pay 0.0001BTC, you can set a custom fee.

Anyone who uses Xapo? I am using that. Isn't that bad. And has no transfer fee!

You don't have control to your private keys. Please use any other wallets where you can control private keys or have an option to take the money even if their server is down. Try Blockchain.info or GreenAddress(or GreenBots).

On 2015-03-01, there was problem on bc.info (port 80 was running but port 8333 was down) which caused confirmation delay for txs from bc.info wallets.

Ware transactions pushed to Blockchain?

blockchain is working great for me, i personally like it much than other online wallet,
their sending speed is awesome, so i will recommend it.

Can you please explain? All wallet have same spending speed and it depends on your interent speed. If you put the wallet mode to 'Expert'[1], you will get more options which might slow down your sending.

[1] Not all wallets support this and some wallet only supports this mode. This mode is for technical users.

blockchain in my phone.
Not that I have much there anyway.

Any online wallet(web-based) installed in your mobile or pc isn't an offline wallet. Coins stored in it are stored in it are actually stored in their server.

Why don't you try Bither or GreenAddress(or GreenBits)?

4471  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: March 04, 2015, 03:13:04 PM
I was using Blockchain.info wallet but disappointed with their service , and I am now using Electrum simple and fast
What's make you disappointed with the Blockchain.info service? Shocked

Some time there service is got down. They server got down and it delay the btc confirmation. it think might be the possible reason

Wallets don't play crucial role on confirming a TX. Instead, miners play crucial role. If BC's server went down, the details on the website such as confirmations, blocks won't be updated. At that time, you will have to use other explorers like Blocktrail.com and Blockexplorer.com.

@stcgold you better create your own forum. 70 accounts is enough to jumpstart a new forum and look busy. I wonder how many hours he worked for it.

But he won't get anything out of it as the accounts don't have value.

The accounts is permabanned?

It is a temporary ban without time limit.

can i know what is ban evasion ?

ban evasion is when you create another acount and claiming you are "insert username" and posted outside Meta... if im not wrong xD

Almost right! You don't want to claim that your account is 'username'. Ban evasion is to post with a new account as the old account was banned. Posting in Meta and sending PMs about the current situation(?) isn't ban evasion.

so basically if someone did a 10 btc transaction it will have a more trust value than the one that got a trust rating of 0 btc risked?
are this thing applied otherwise to red trust?

Yes. I think it also applies for negative feedback but I am not sure. Anybody?

I've never actually known about that page , trust system is imo alot more complicated than it needs to be tho.

That complication saved many people and also made this system stand for this long. It is never complicated if you read what you should read. See the recent discussion about trust system.

This is really suspicious and looks like you're buying trust.

im not buying trust, if i do then i think i should have asked you to leave positive feedback for me when i paid the loan.. but nevermind this.. Smiley

No problem! Thought you are doing this. Avoid this post.

You didn't answer my last 3 questions. Please go to last page. Smiley
