4461  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X Experience on: April 15, 2020, 01:40:24 AM
Wouldn't you kind of expect that?  Not that I know much about the Nano X's battery, but I have a variety of power banks for emergencies, and they don't tend to lose much charge even after a few months.
I did kind of expect that but I kind of forgot that feature. I mean most batteries that I have experienced maybe could stay around 80% but I don't know.

Anyway, I'm hoping to own a Nano X one of these days, but as I've said in other threads I can't seem to justify the purchase when the S is working just fine for my needs.  I'm not that into altcoins and I don't think an X would offer much advantage to me--but glad you're liking it, OP.
Thanks. If you are into traveling with your Ledger and just have your phone, you could transact using that. I can't really say for your use case but I think you could take advantage of that.

I had exactly the opposite experience than most of you. I have returned my Nano X twice due to faulty battery. Both devices were discharging at nearly 1% per 1 second which is definitely not a normal behaviour. At least, the support handled the return quite fast. Despite that, the device felt pretty solid and I would use it more often if I didn't have a Trezor T which is more convenient to use.
Oh dang. That's just sad. Is it up to you to ship them the device? What does it say on the warranty?

Personally hindi ako convinced sa storya ni Polar91. Parang pinili nalang ung nakakaawa excuse para sana may maawa. Idk.
Caught in the act na siya at wala na ata siyang masabing iba. It's not a reason, IMO.

4464  Economy / Economics / Re: Nobel Laureate asked India to print more money and not to worry about inflation on: April 14, 2020, 02:01:44 PM
This wouldn't be a good idea. If they want to be like the Zimbabwean dollar with the hyperinflation thing affecting their economy, go right ahead. I think the best move for India is just to ask the private and government companies to help the needy. It's just the same right? Helping them without affecting the economy.
4465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers are betting on Trotting and Marbles due to Coronavirus on: April 14, 2020, 03:08:19 AM
People are hella bored and thankfully there is online stuff that could entertain you right? Is there any way to join the fun but in crypto?
4466  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GLOBAL PANDEMIC - BLESSING IN DISGUISE on: April 13, 2020, 08:08:32 PM
It's amazing how people who are affected are not seeing it as a blessing but a condemnation towards everyone who has touched this global pandemic. It's good to see it as a positive thing but nothing is really positive with what's happening. You can never say just look at the bright side at a person who has a special person who died within this period.

Just make peace and make sure to follow the social distancing rules, etc.
The only thing I see as so called 'good' coming out of all this over the past month of it being taking seriously to create martial law in some countries, you see duerte and what he is doing to those without food Roll Eyes, is how fragile each countries system is at mobilizing in a pandemic.
Every country from what I have witnessed has failed as a society to have a contingency plan put in place so to not have their own local stock market from crashing down around them. Sad really to see how the world really operates. Embarrassed
Maybe bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a whole can flourish out of all this mess once it all subsides from a state of pandemonium. Hence what comes from the word pandemic.
Now we really know that we are not ready with a pandemic. Just like what Bill Gates said but at least solutions are being done, but not the permanent one yet. I hope there would be the vaccine already. #FlattenTheCurve

4468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do we need Bitcoin if we have Litecoin? on: April 13, 2020, 01:48:31 PM
You could always try to share how Litecoin is better than Bitcoin but that isn't going to do anything impactful towards the overall usability and practical applications of the coin itself. Sure you could say things like

  • Average transaction Time is faster
  • Higher reward block
  • More supply

just like the post by LbtalkL, but it doesn't change the fact that people are using BTC more and it's the main cryptocurrency used to buy other cryptocurrencies. I doubt it's going to change anytime soon.

The capacity of the whole application of a coin is the decision of the many. If everyone got used to Bitcoin being used, so be it but it's not going to change instantly. It's like you trying to introduce digital payments and still, there are cash payments going around. It's not going to be entirely used unless the majority uses it.
4469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 12, 2020, 10:56:27 PM
I'm a long time user of Telegram and I have never heard the association of frauding in Telegram. I know there are a lot of scammers, especially in the cryptocurrency space, but not immediately thought of when asked about Telegram. I have found more people who knows Telegram, amazed by the sticker creation rather than the people using Telegram to scam.

P.S. I think there are more fraudsters/scammers using Discord (in the cryptocurrency space)
4470  Economy / Gambling / Re: Proof that Freebitco.in game is not provably fair. on: April 12, 2020, 06:56:35 PM
Just because you lost, it doesn't immediately translate into bullshit stuff. It's better to understand that there are possibilities that you cannot foresee or foretell. If you gamble, you should be aware of the risk. Just make sure you don't lose the money that you are going to use for your necessities, like rent. Lol.
4471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥[GUNBOT] Trading Bot with 136 exchanges available!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: April 12, 2020, 04:57:34 PM
My question is what are the steps I need to take to use Binance to trade? Do i need to chat with Gunthy specifically or is this something i can tackle on my own?
We could talk in Telegram, I could assist you in your needs. You couldn't do this yet but you will (like changing your licenses, exchanges, etc). I pm-ed you.
4472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why reward halving instead of doubling? on: April 12, 2020, 12:07:08 AM
Do you think reaching the maximum supply at the earliest time would be beneficial for Bitcoin? I don't think so. Also, if you are talking about early adopters, they have already been given a chance to hoard a lot of BTC during the times when it was easy to mine. Additionally, when the price is still at the cents, it is a lot.

Nothing is fixed in this world of ours, only the constants. The price of an asset is not one of them, and you can never be sure of its direction as well.
4473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Black List Gambling platform. on: April 11, 2020, 10:17:03 PM
I cannot relate so much with those casinos because I haven't tried them, only with cryptocurrency online casinos. I would be waiting for your cryptocurrency blacklist review. Will be watching this thread.
Well, that is right. I also noticed what is on the OP list. Perhaps all was listed are not a crypto users or perhaps only fiat will be accepted there. That is good advice, make a list in all of the gambling casinos that have an appeal here. Because on this forum, gamblers will choose a gambling site that has already owned their reputation here. I hope there is an improvement too in OP thread and I think only one source was OP referring for.
I think it's okay to have his list of fiat online casinos, it's just that, I'm not experienced in that kind, just the Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. He said he will have in his P.S. part of the post. As long as the casino is graded, I think it would be okay.
4474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: April 11, 2020, 04:39:32 PM
I was thinking about this the other day when I remember someone creating a token about Corona Virus. It's a freaking joke to have that kind of shit being made as a project. And now people are betting on how long it would last? Or something in that sense? That's fucked up, and we know it. Don't participate in that kind of shit, it's not right, especially to the ones who are affected.

People have died because of COVID-19, don't make it worse by participating in it.

4476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen if all miners stop mining? on: April 10, 2020, 06:36:11 PM
So, in summary, it's not possible to have no miners. If that happens, as long as one node is alive computing, Bitcoin will stay alive. Anyways, It's not possible because a lot of people are already invested in Bitcoin, especially the miners, and their mining gears are expensive, and it's best not to be put to waste.
4477  Economy / Reputation / Re: WHERE IS TMAN? for 1 month of inactivity 🤔🤔 on: April 10, 2020, 05:56:22 PM
We should always be hoping for the best for each and every one of us here. Anyone who is in contact with him?
4478  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X Experience on: April 10, 2020, 05:10:40 PM
As for the different use cases of everyone here, for sure it would be different if you experienced having one. You may not really need it but the portability and accessibility it gives is a blessing to have when you support crypto. Using your mobile phone with the manager is helpful too. OTG is okay but you have to carry an extra cable.
4479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 10, 2020, 02:18:33 PM
I saw a social media post where it's better to emphasize employee loyalty, instead of the money itself. Seeing that casinos are always about money, they have chosen the latter, for sure.

I think the best way for them to stay in that casino is that the company gives them benefits of some sort and not rely on the government to help them. I think that seems fair.
4480  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Should be subsubject in Economy on: April 10, 2020, 12:39:53 PM
I don't think curriculums of high schools, colleges, graduates, etc, are quickly going to implement that unless the Economics teacher has data of how it affects the current economy today, especially with what's happening.

I find it amusing to have it as a subject. Hence I agree that it's best to be included in a subject to understand the potential of having sustainable social and economic growth or is a threat to the economy.
