4481  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you expect prices to fall on: September 19, 2016, 06:34:11 PM
I expect the price to fall after this year and that would not be strange because the halving is also comming and i think the price will fall before the halving and not at the same time believe me.

Didn't the halving just happen in July? Next one's over three years away.
4482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stuck ? on: September 19, 2016, 04:58:28 PM
We had plenty of periods in the history of bitcoin when price was stable. It is nothing new.
People assume naturally that bitcoin price must be volatile and and now after a brief moment of stability when value of btc is stagnant they panic.

This is mostly wishful thinking on the part of traders, who of course want a volatile market. It's not surprising to see that here, considering that this is the Speculation sub-forum.

Bitcoin devotees tend to want a more stable price as they feel it's better in the long run.

We "holders" (I prefer to call myself a saver) want it both ways. We want a steady upward price rise to see our savings grow, but with just enough volatility to create buyable dips.

Good Morning Bitcoinland.

Didn't miss anything over the weekend I see... still $610 on Bitcoinaverage.

People are getting bored and posting is down to a minimum. There's talk of death and the usual trolling.

Must be time for some action.
4484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 13, 2016, 04:33:32 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Not much change... $608 on Bitcoinaverage.

Sideways is good, to a point.
4485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 12, 2016, 03:50:06 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Bit of a dip yesterday I see.

Went out drinking after the ball game and woke up to see that we lost almost half of last week's gains.... currently $608 on Bitcoinaverage.

Up $50 and back down $20. Hopefully that was just a normal small correction and we can start going up again.

It did seem to indicate solid support at $600.
4486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 11, 2016, 04:32:28 PM
Good AM BTCland.

No weekend movement so far... $626 on Bitcoinaverage.

I don't think I'll even take my Android device to the ballpark. One less thing to fuss with at the ridiculous weapons search at the Skydome.

I still don't see why a Canadian facility should have to follow the dictates of some foreign country's Department of Homeland Security.

Time to go.
4487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 10, 2016, 03:58:23 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

We seem to be going sideways again after last week's little rise from $570 to almost $630.... currently $628 on Bitcoinaverage.

Time for a weekend bump up?
4488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 09, 2016, 03:51:39 PM
Good AM BTCland.

Not much change... $627 on Bitcoinaverage.

Hopefully we're just catching our breath before continuing upward.

At least $600 seems to be a done deal. Next target $640.
4489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 08, 2016, 06:02:08 PM
Good afternoon Bitcoinland. Too busy to check in this morning.

Up a bit overnight and back down a smaller bit today I see... $626 on Bitcoinaverage.

September seems to have gotten things moving again. Steady moderate gains are a good thing.
4490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 06, 2016, 04:53:01 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still over $600 and creeping slowly upward... $612 on Bitcoinaverage.

Hope everybody got some coins while they under $600.
4491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 04, 2016, 05:09:37 PM
Finally something new from Mr Jimbo Smiley

Refreshing isn't it? You can't make news out of same old same old.

First real movement in a month.
4492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 04, 2016, 03:19:15 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Yesterday we finally got the upward break we'd been expecting after all these weeks of sideways.

Today it's inched up a little more. Over $600 on most exchanges, $610 on Bitcoinaverage.

Are the summer doldrums over at last?
4493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 02, 2016, 03:00:29 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

No change... $580 on Bitcoinaverage.

When this thing finally breaks, it should be fun to watch. In the meantime, yawn.
4494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 01, 2016, 04:19:32 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Same old same old...  $578 on Bitcoinaverage. Nothing new here.

@ Savetherainforest:

Yes I do have a white beard but not of the Popeye variety. The dude in my avatar is Mr. Natural, a character created by 1960s underground cartoonist Robert Crumb.

The beard's mid-length now. I trim it short every spring and let it grow until it's long enough by Christmas to put on my Santa tux and do my annual Xmas show.

@ Infofront & Chef Ramsay:

I'd love to see a series between the Jays and Tigers. I hate the fact they moved the Tigers to the central division. I used to love the great rivalry we had back in the 1980s with Steib vs Morris, etc.

My mother was from Windsor Ontario so I grew up surrounded by Tigers culture. Before the Jays were created 40 years ago, the Tigers were my favorite AL team.

That said, go Jays go.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Missed a half a week and see I didn't miss anything. $578 according to BitcoinAverage.

That's a full month of sideways. Flat August. What will September bring?

I'd buy more coins before the probable price rise but I need to use my extra cash to buy my post-season baseball tickets before the deadline and secure my seats (and more) for next year.

My excess tickets will return more than double on Stubhub. Hopefully my bitcoins will return at least that much. Either way it's better than keeping money in some goofy bank.

All that snow you had a couple of weeks ago has melted?

I think you are mistaking NL with another country. I haven't seen proper snow for years. Snowy landscapes in NL are only to be found on old pictures dating back before our love of fossil fuels.

I was referring to this: http://nyuzer.com/2016/08/11/overnight-temperatures-drop-0-twente as posted 2 weeks ago by savetherainforest.

I guess I was overstating when I said "all that snow". It was really just a dusting of frost as unseasonable as it was.

Here in Ontario we still get 4 seasons with temperatures ranging from <-40C to >+40C. Today it's a little cooler... only 32C humidex.

Thank gawd for modern air conditioning. It's easier to build a heater out of sticks and stones than try to build an AC.

one iced coffee for me please, it's pretty hot here in NL atm.

4498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 26, 2016, 04:08:05 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Sideways is good. $584 on BitcoinAverage.

That lazy hazy crazy daze of summer is still here (at least in the northern hemisphere).

Iced coffee anyone?
4499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 24, 2016, 02:56:14 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Nothing new to report.... $585 on BitcoinAverage.

Same old same old. At least it's an extended opportunity to buy under $600.
4500  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: August 23, 2016, 10:28:00 PM
*yawn* fkn noobs.

They think they've got it all figured out.

I'd rather trust Aminorex's monkey. It's a little more experienced.
