4481  Other / Meta / Re: [BitCoinTalk][COVID-19] Grim Reality on: March 27, 2020, 02:17:43 PM
I feel like the type of Bitcoiners that are on the forum are recluses to begin with so they have a smaller chance of dying. You combine that with the fact most of the people on here are probably under 40 and you have a death rate significantly below 1 percent.

1% of 110,000 active users is 1,100 users. In my OP I pared that number down.  If we said 1% of 50,000 UID's then that's 500 users.  ~0.5% of 50,000 users is still 250 UID's.  I'd be interested to see any research on the demographics of bitcointalk users to see where you come up with your numbers and break down of age groups.  I'm happy to amend the OP with links to statistics.
4482  Economy / Reputation / Re: Chipmixer sponsor dangerous untrustworthy members and Racists and unfair treat? on: March 27, 2020, 03:55:09 AM
You can add to the list this gem from one of the current ChipMixer Signature Campaign participants:

Archive [1a], [1b]

...you become payed whore and ignorant prick because of few dollars.

Fucking disgrace. ...

Basically, marlboroza is saying it is okay for him to swear and abuse others while receiving $5-$6 per post from ChipMixer but others aren't allowed to post in topics of their choice for a tenth of (per week) of what he gets paid for his just one abusive post.

There is the disgrace.

4483  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT-members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: March 27, 2020, 03:32:17 AM
...

Ah yes... and not forgetting marlboroza who also knows how to kick someone when they are down and keeps clicking quote/reply...

Definitely on my distrust list the pair of them.

Says the guy getting paid $5-$6 per post from his own Signature Campaign.  Roll Eyes

Check your facts first from now on.

4484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SXC][NSFW] Sexcoin - New Android Client Release! on: March 27, 2020, 03:31:17 AM
Guys I've paid for SexCoin to be continued on its only block explorer site - paid for with the last of the funds I received selling my entire sexcoin holdings back in December.

https://paymium.com/invoice/0e86ce50-9e72-4798-92d0-05997bc2ceef

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/contribution.status.dws?id=3iSBfboIMhe1KiLz7Gwk

The block explorer will continue for the next five moths (it was nearly a month overdue being paid).

In the meantime I have started being paid via a signature campaign to ensure the block explorer can continue on that site.  I won't say how many sexcions I had to sell, but it was a lot.  Should anyone want to donate some sxc back to me you can do so here.
4485  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT-members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: March 25, 2020, 11:58:11 AM
I never said I don't give out red trust. I don't give out red trust for opinions, personal squabbles, being dumb, etc and I strongly suggest others refrain from doing so. Nice try twisting it into yet another pretzel. If you have an actual example of me using red trust inappropriately please let me know and I'll review it.

... Wait... you *want* me to ask you to review something???

Here comes another Neutral Trust Feedback on your wall that you're about to squeal about:

Quote
suchmoon   2019-09-05      I see now that when suchmoon sent multiple PM's to me over the last nearly six months asking to work on a project with me that he was in effect stringing me along and giving me lip service and that he actually in effect had no desire at all to help me.

Want me to slap you down again?  Click quote or reply over yonder ---> ...
4486  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT-members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: March 25, 2020, 09:54:25 AM
0. Everyone grows the fuck up and stops using red trust in their pillow fights. I reckon that would fix about 1/3 of this list.

Hypocrite.

Next you'll be squealing about the neutral feedback left on your trust feedback wall:

Quote
Suchmoon: "Neutral feedback is an abomination like non-alcoholic beer. If you wanna joke around - use red, it's a fun a festive color."

http://archive.fo/wK1aB#selection-5315.69-5315.132 / http://archive.fo/yQlbZ#selection-4899.69-4899.132

Lead by example instead of slapping others with negative/DT distrust so you claim the martyr card that you don't give out red feedback trust.

I have Glioblastoma, given ~2 months to live. I am currently at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, under quarantine for Coronavirus,

I sincerely hope that you are resting comfortably and hope that you are able to find closure in real life as well as here.
4488  Economy / Services / Re: King of Contents 15% discount best articles $2.5/500 words on: March 25, 2020, 01:18:59 AM
I'll help you out here:

Hire me to write,

  • Blogs Blog posts
  • Social media contents (the "s" isn't required)
  • Engaging tweets - I specialise in the following subjects: (examples)
  • Forum posting (which is heavily frowned upon as it is mainly used by shit posters to scam multiple signature campaigns concurrently)
  • Crypto articles for the following types of media (e.g. Print, online etc)
  • Etc (give short type of examples)

Price 0.005/word <--- I'm sure you mean 0.00001 per word for 500 words = 0.005

Telegram: @homeboybct <--- might want to consider a more professional sounding profile name.

My samples are available when u reach me on telegram, thank you for your support.  patronage (usually heads of industry or governor-generals or similar high ranking officials are patrons)

"You" is spelt Y-O-U - if you can't refrain from posting abbreviations, then you won't get many clientele.

I would suggest you have a look at the requirements of the various signature campaigns, practice your posting - if your posts have merit, then you will rank up and qualify to join a signature campign.

Above all - keep writing and engage with others to build on your writing skills.

Good luck.
4489  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Selling fake cure for COVID-19 + using alt accounts on: March 25, 2020, 12:53:14 AM
I notice the two support alts came back to life in the last week.  What's puzzling is why the user chose a recent UID to promote then waste to very old accounts which would have taken a long time to craft. ??

I've supported flag and added trust feedback.

I would also suggest all three users are added to your distrust list too?
4490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos that allow bch and ltc and eth investments? on: March 25, 2020, 12:47:54 AM
Thanks for the thread - I would appreciate it if you could make a list and post it to the OP so that we can reference it from time to time.  New users chancing upon this list may not want to trawl back through pages of text to find sites only to discover later on they have closed.
4491  Economy / Services / Re: Follow4Follow on Twitter - Help Each other Grow on: March 25, 2020, 12:06:45 AM
I hope not.
95% of TW accounts from the bounty section are just spammers. Also, they will promote anything for a few bucks, I don't want to see it on my line and I have already enough spam posts there. Almost every day I see many accounts suspended by Twitter, there is no need to waste time on them.

Although I've follow(ed)4follow the entire list here, I've already muted one person's twitter feed who simply seems to be clicking retweet constantly.  Somewhere down the track say in 12 months time I'll look back at their posts history and quietly unfollow them.  (maybe in three months)
4492  Other / Meta / Re: [BitCoinTalk][COVID-19] Grim Reality on: March 24, 2020, 11:52:56 PM
You can ask the same question to another member who also posted what is "best treatment" for COVID-19.

All levels of Government here in Fortress Australia are echoing the advice of the World Health Organisation.

  • Wash your hands regularly including when handling cash
  • Maintain Social Distancing (Aust advises 4 sq mtrs)
  • Avoid large gatherings (Aust was at 500 persons outside and 100 indoors, but last night have changed that to ten out doors and fewer still indoors).
    • Stay at home.
    • Avoid large family gatherings.
    • Only travel out to buy food.
  • Treat health care professionals with respect.  Care for them while they care for you.
  • I'm sure there are more - we are all having to adjust to new normals.

I'm sure there are more.

But the question is, whether we will be still using Bitcoin Forum or any other forum when such high rate of deaths start occurring around us?

People should continue to remain focused and active during any lock-down or stay at home.  500 out for more than 110,000 active users is a small portion of the users.  The forum will continue.

Where it *might* come unstuck is if anything were to happen to @theymos or one or two others that hodl the purse strings and/or keys to the forum.

I can feel huge decrease in the forum activity, not many threads were created, not much posts not sure where we are heading to due to this corina outbreak.I am also at lockdown now for the past two days huge demand for groceries here already.

Be safe guys...

For six months there will definitely be a decline in participation of the forum - that's a given, but I have no doubt the forum will bounce back.  In Australia the staples are being stock piled: sugar, long life milk, pasta & rice, tinned and frozen grains (peas, corn, lentils, chick peas etc)  gravy mixes to name a few have all been panic bought...

...as has toilet paper.  Roll Eyes

Stay Safe, keep in touch via electronic mediums.  Be sensible too.

Many thanks for processing these payments - we all appreciate receiving them.

I'm just trying [Guide] Broadcast Your RAW Transaction BTC & Alts coins to see if I can speed things up. Disregard - they look to have gone through already.

Has anyone tried out Phoenix https://phoenix.acinq.co/download - it seems to be Android only (side by side with Eclair) I'm wondering what people think of it??  If it's okay I might try getting the LN for testing purposes started up again.
4495  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT-members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: March 24, 2020, 11:36:39 AM
If you were allowing us to pick options in a poll I'd go with option three - having said that from time to time a user's negative against me has made its way to DT2/1 but then have slid down the slippery pole and their trust feed back as gone again.  Some of those negatives are Butt Hurt ™ members giving other butt hurt members negatives... (Naturally, there's couple of accounts I wouldn't like to see go)

satoshi actually has negative trust feedback.
I was also surprised. I was reading some old posts and I noticed that. Interesting enough I've even seen it red/orange (because one of the guys leaving the negative was trusted by somebody in DT or my trust list).

Satoshi doesn't qualify for DT1 unless s/he were to post in the first couple of days of the month...  Roll Eyes

*edit* Have just spotted you were looking at Untrusted feedback - here is the trusted stuff: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=3;dt

Thank you for the update - Hopefully lightlord will respond and give an indication of when we will be paid.  I have no doubt CBB will advise us when they receive a response.
4497  Economy / Services / Re: Follow4Follow on Twitter - Help Each other Grow on: March 24, 2020, 01:13:40 AM
can you please share links to twitter follow list that you mentioned and other resources as well. Already in lockdown so why not do something productive with it.

My newest list is BCTF4F https://twitter.com/i/lists/59219414 (Kind of makes sense).  I'll get a list together tonight if Jaz hasn't already composed a list for the OP.

There's a couple of people who've listed the twitter profile but haven't followed me.  Not sure how we can encourage everyone to F4F, but am adding all for the time being.
4498  Economy / Services / Re: [LIST] People renting out their signatures, avatars and personal text. on: March 23, 2020, 01:41:29 PM
Edit > I just saw that your alt account is a Member and I have restriction to Sr. Members and above

Yeh, I did wonder about that.

Quote
but.. since you helped me a lot with finding mistakes in my posts, instead of giving you merit ( I'm out of it again ) I will add you to the list.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  I'm not hodling my breath it'll get much attention, but it is out there for people to see.  Much obliged.
4499  Economy / Services / Re: [LIST] HQ Posters' renting out their signatures, avatars and personal text. on: March 23, 2020, 01:27:38 PM
I'll post my application, again, since I just got my 60th merit in the last 120 days. However, I read the OP and my original application that I deleted would have got accepted anyway. Oh well, now I have the required merit and don't have to rest on my laurels.

You are on the list, but it should not be any issue to apply even before you reached the 60+ received merit, because you are on DT1, for me those are exclusive users and deserve to have have free entry.
I even updated the OP rules for case like yours Smiley

Not sure about the table formatting...

I've just ticked over 75 merits in the last 120 days - I have a question about the OP:

* - If you can't meet this criteria but you are somehow exclusive member (Merit Source,DT1 Members,Staff Member,  Alt account and your main account meets the requirements, have earned more than 500 merit in total but not been quite active lately) I can consider your application as well.

Does that mean my mobile alt qualifies as the main account has more than 65 merits in the last 120 days? (...and is DT1)  Grin  Cool  Huh

4500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should bitcoin not perform now? on: March 23, 2020, 01:16:35 PM
Your case doesn't really have any punch to it - you should be suggesting that it is a contactless form of payment and is a quick and cheep alternative to electronic payment systems that can charge 1%- 5% (or higher) of the purchase price added on as a transaction fee by the bank where as bitcoin has little or no fee.

The Lightning Network pushed that transaction fee even lower still to fractions of one cent on every day transactions as well as colossally high value transactions as well.
