4481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling safer than before ? on: February 14, 2023, 01:59:06 PM
It depends on the definition of safety, when it comes to scamming both by trick or by crook, the casino industry is growing worse if you must know. This is why everyone needs their extensive researches before dabbling into any casinos of choice. But when it come to protection of lives and property, I believe that it's safer these days, and the safety should not be from the casino alone, the people gambling must learn how to be discrete at the same time, but many are too lousy.

Frankly, it's the right of any winner to demand their payments through electronic means, which is what I have witnessed casinos doing now. They won't even offer you in cash if the money has reached a certain amount that might raise a security threat to the winner.
4482  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: February 14, 2023, 08:21:54 AM
I've always believed in the fact that 'the most intelligent or smartest doesn't win the game, the best in strategic planning has the cup.
Also, don't quit, let every experience be a motivation to want to do better.
These are good points from you, I love it because they are more of reality than believing that you know it all. You might learn how to gamble from now till tomorrow and know all the rudiments attached to it and still not make something good out of it.

What guides some better gamblers are their calculations and guided plans to override the principles of gambling through management to their advantage. Not all about gambling itself which is always unfeasible no matter how much you know it and try to beat the system.
4483  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to BTC price if the US defaults? on: February 14, 2023, 08:12:41 AM
You are missing a lot of facts here, which might be a misrepresentation of the situation and what the US and the USD stand for. For the record, the US has never defaulted since over 2 millennia ago, they can't now when it's in the hands of capable hands and better technology and economic exposure.

Your post might have been borne out of the pegging on the debt permissible by the Federal Treasury, which is a debatable issue and could be readjusted if need be.

Mind you, if the US defaults today, which currency would fit in perfectly as stable as it is? Do you think the world would even think of Bitcoin as an alternative? If you think so, then you are joking. Another fiat will be a viable choice, but none can still fit the show of the USD, for now, so the USD will still be preferred.

Even with the US default, it will have a temporary effect on the USD because they will measure it up with a fix as soon as possible, and the effect on BTC (positive or negative) will be minimal.

4484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UAE central bank to issue CBDC, promote digital asset growth on: February 14, 2023, 07:52:01 AM
I will always say it, Bitcoin has opened the eyes of the world, particularly the central banks to the need to tap into the most digital innovation in the financial system. With the look of things, no country wants to be last in this advancement, except those that are sadists to the system due to reasons best known to them. However, in the long run, they will be the ones that will regret it.

What you shared is good news from UAE, but one thing I will still let you know is that the CBDC is mostly not working on blockchain technology and all of them are centralized. While a few have some components with respect to blockchain technology but are still purely centralized.

This is indeed a setback!
4485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: February 14, 2023, 07:37:30 AM
I'm not surprised about this, I've known it a long time ago, trading is addictive, it's obvious. Trading is nothing less like betting, so it might come your way or not, and when it doesn't come your way, you would want to be curious about doing it again believing you made one mistake or another. This will be giving you the mindset that you can do it better by learning/training more to achieve riches through it.

Before you knew it, you would want it more and feel good doing it, and also correcting errors every time and losing every time still in the guise of possible future success.

Many people are wasting money on trading as we speak, while traditional, futures and options trading are the aspects that this affects most.
4486  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here into passive investing (of their time)? on: February 13, 2023, 03:49:13 PM
Your article is good and challenging at the same time as I believe that anyone that is not satisfied with their earning needs passive income. Truthfully, how many people are satisfied with their earnings these days? So, many need this but the nature of their primary job matters in the choice of the passive income they can do, especially if they do not want to do away with that job.

For now, the best passive means of income are trading/investing, authoring books, freelancing, blogging, problem-solving, creativity and many more. One could choose the ones that are good for their person and go for them during their free periods.

As for me, trading/investing and book writing are my own, and I hope I will forever benefit from them even beyond my hope.
4487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 13, 2023, 03:02:17 PM
hehehe barcelona continues its march without stopping or retreating
I didn't expect it this year, I'm honest, but this surprises me and makes me happy
What league would it be if only Real Madrid ever won? How boring!

Barcelona acts like a well-established mechanism, Xavi did a good job. There was a lot of struggle in the match, and as often happens in a match with these teams, a lot of yellow cards. And by the way, Barcelona's defense this season is more reliable than ever, maybe Barcelona doesn't score so much, but in my opinion this is natural. Playing back 11 points against a Barcelona like this seems like an impossible task, even for Real Madrid.
Barcelona don't crave for plenty of goals, the moment Barcelona is leading with a goal they just get concentrate in playing very defensive which the opponent won't be able to score to equalize the game.
Barcelona don't joke with playing defensively in there games.

Barcelona don't crave for plenty of goals and that's because it's not easy for them to score much at the moment  . Villareal dominated the ball possession both in first and second half, they were just inaccurate in their attempt while FCB found luck in their attempt and located the net through Lewandowsky. I doubt you, Barcelona is not known for defensive style of football like you said. They defensive because Villareal were so agile in the attack.
You should not be in the defence of Barcelona too much, every good club must be known for good characteristics, and defence is part of it. There are times that the situation on the pitch would warrant extreme defence strategy, so it's understandable.

Nonetheless, Villarreal was so impressive yesterday, and I love the way you agree with that. Barcelona was lucky and thankfully, they have an experience goal scorer (Lewandowski) who did not misuse the opportunity in the first half before the game becomes more serious.
4488  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic implications of a US-China-Taiwan conflict on: February 13, 2023, 12:23:32 PM
No one prays for war, but the USA-China war might be counting down in years, and many of the US top military personnel have confirmed it. I will only blame the world for this by giving China undue power economically, which might, in turn, alter the balance of the world. The two countries I fear most aside from the terrorism-inflicted countries are China and Russia, while the latter has shown the world how irresistible it is, China is only waiting for opportunities. And with their economic power, they can do and undo, but the implication of the Taiwan invasion will be minimal economically since the world does not depend on Taiwan the way they depend on Ukraine for supplies of sunflower meal, oil, seed, wheat and many raw materials.

Only China might be economically sanctioned and might cause further inflation, but it would not be as impactful since the world does not majorly depend on either China or Taiwan for food and raw materials which are major factors that aggravate inflation, the impact might be suppressible as the world turns elsewhere to fulfil their demands and also cooperate with the economic sanction of China tactically.
4489  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How NEPA dey treat you for your area? Good or bad? on: February 13, 2023, 09:26:16 AM

4490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are there sometimes big difference between spot trading and futures? on: February 13, 2023, 08:39:39 AM
Anyone knows what's the reason behind it? I'm not too much experienced in trading. Why was there a 15% difference in prices on the same exchange between spot and futures?
I'm glad you added that you are not so experienced in trading, which was why you might encounter some issues you don't understand like this. Well, in my experience with Binance, their spot and future prices are almost always the same. The difference is so negligible to be considered varied. It might be an internet/technical problem. But if the issue persists, contact their support representative because I don't experience such in my account.

At the same time, coinbase had way better rates than Binance. Is it legal to buy tons of coins on Binance, withdraw, deposit on Coinbase and immediately sell the coins, then buy USDT and withdraw on Binance again?
What you want to do is purely legal but to what gain? My dear, this will not favour you, just stick to the price of the different exchanges as you see them. It will not be worth it, they are almost the same, it's you that believes they are not since you are seeing different prices, but are negligible. It's when you do the conversion and withdrawal that you will know you lose.
4491  Economy / Economics / Re: How Does Debt Crisis Boost Cryptocurrencies? on: February 13, 2023, 08:09:45 AM
1. Bitcoin provides a hedge against inflation as we all know with its property of fixed supply. so that's how bitcoin is supporting the financial ecosystems.
It's high time you guys stopped saying that "Bitcoin provides a hedge against inflation," it's a misconception in this present-day reality. Or should we because we love Bitcoin and be blindfolded by it and continue to peddle lies? I guess not, the reality is all over the market. Inflation plagued from 2021-2022, what happened to Bitcoin? It could not withstand it of course and fell for it. Is that what you call a hedge?

The only viable hedge against inflation which is clearly noticed last year is the USDX, it was the only asset in which investors gained while inflation was seriously biting.

4492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 13, 2023, 07:57:15 AM
Congratulations to Napoli for the massive victory they achieved from Cremonese, to prove to people that they are well prepared to achieve something reasonable in this season. Cremonese found it difficult to achieve a single goal from Napoli from the beginning till the end of the match, because Napoli midfielders and defenders made their position difficult for their players to have access to their goalpost. I think, Napoli will maintain this position till the end of this tournament to embrace the title and also make their fans feel good about their performance in this Italian league competition.
A fantastic result for Napoli and this has made them stronger at the top of the standings with 59 points. It feels like this season will definitely belong to Napoli and I think it is very impossible for a rival team to catch up on the points that Napoli currently has. Their next opponent will be Sassuolo who are bottom of the table and will be an easy game for Napoli.
You can't tell. You it's football and everything is possible. What if they start losing and drawing like it is with Arsenal? Though there isn't a contender as strong as Napoli, if you check very well, victor Osimhen and Anguisa are currently on fire, things can be difficult if outstanding players like that go on injury, U never can tell. dropping form always starts in a single match, but the only good side of the story is that Napoli will hardly lose 5 matches which they are leading with.
Anything is truly possible in football, but not like this anymore, Napoli has the trophy this season, and the gap between it and the second on the table is 16 points. This is not so usual in a good competition, the gap is too wide and there is no way Napoli will be careless to the point of degenerating back to losing or drawing in their next many matches. The feat of their players is top-notch too.

This is practically not the same as the case of Arsenal. The club disappoints but has been leading with less than 8 points at their peak, which is why their errors are costing them easily now. Napoli is twice that point now and is still a viable leader in the Seria A competition.
4493  Economy / Gambling / Re: Buy 1xbit used and big limit account on: February 13, 2023, 07:44:43 AM
I must say that there is no offer we will not see here, buying an ID is not encouraging to me, and why would someone want to buy a lost ID? This is raising my curiosity about how desperate some people could be for their personal gain.

Wait a minute, is it possible you lose your ID with a custodial company and are not able to retrieve it back? Why are they custodial? I don't get it. Well, this offer seems like a cruise to me, even though the company mentioned is such with questionable service.
4494  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC Silver and Gold on: February 12, 2023, 10:25:39 PM
I am curious. How many of you also stack gold and silver in addition to BTC as a hedge for inflation?
Inflation or not, it's not good to "put one's egg in a basket," which helped me as I was particular about 5 classes of investment in 2022. They are the equity market, Bitcoin, Gold, Crude oil and USDX. I was able to liquidate some of my purchases on Bitcoin later after seeing the way it was performing and added it to my portfolios on Gold and USDX.

These (Gold and USDX) were good choices and a very good way to diversify my portfolio which worked so much for me. Gold and Bitcoin eventually earned well for me in the last 2 months, yet I will only increase my investment in Bitcoin towards the time of halving or if it would reach around $15k-16k again.

I will then hold it for the tradition right from such a low level.
4495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 12, 2023, 05:38:27 PM
Manchester City vs Aston Villa is an another interesting match in the weekend. But the question most viewers are asking in the hall, now that Manchester City has scored 1 goal within 4 minutes period and seeing the struggle of Aston Villa, will Aston Villa win, or equalize in the match? Since we are talking about prediction here. I also predicted Manchester City to win the game. Erling Haaland is playing well. Let's see the out come of the match at the full time of the game.
After the 2-0 defeat of Leeds United by Man U, I believe this infuriated Man City with the way they are playing Aston Villa. The match is playing more than expected, and in just halftime of the game, Man City had scored thrice and there is hope that they will score more with the way they dominated the pitch in the first half.

This is what I call a competition where one side will show a whole supremacy which makes it all fun. And this is indirectly the competing rivalry between Man City and Man U for the second spot on the EPL table.
4496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 12, 2023, 05:23:06 PM
I've never had such an issue that would make me wish I totally stop gambling, but I've had reasons to stop certain kinds of gambling. This is personal, and the ones I had stopped have been effectively stopped by me, so there are no issues in their regard. I am a careful person that sees gambling as a way of making some fun, and if a little money comes out of it, fine.

I will never be a desperado in that field. Such are the ones that will always be regretting and wish they leave gambling.
4497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When looking for answers on the forum on: February 12, 2023, 08:36:52 AM
Obviously, there is nothing wrong in telling people to be careful but the approach of the first sentences is wrong enough to make people too sceptical of the forum for good answers. However, you later explained insightfully for those that would understand, and I hope others could indeed get the gist as well.

Still, my candid advice for anyone looking for good and reliable information on the forum should check the background profile and old posts of the person the information is from. New or old members, some old posts and merits should tell of the wisdom of the person.

And to be sure, a higher rank with track records can't deliberately give nonsense information.
4498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 03:45:22 PM
At the 81+ minutes the match between Chelsea vs west ham is still on a tite 1:1 goals and if care is not taken this match may end with a draw
One points each for both teams, but fairly Chelsea would have won the game had that penalty been awarded in that last few minutes of the game. Souchek clearly used his hands to stop the ball in the disguise of trying to break his fall with his hand while falling, but it was a penalty for me, and the VAR officials should have given it a second look. Chelsea are also lucky that the goal West Ham scored in the last minutes of the game as well was ruled out for offside else it would have been entirely bad for their coach Graham Potter. Chelsea played well, but they can do better as they have shown in the past, when this new Chelsea team start playing better as a team, they will be a difficult team to play against.
I thought Chelsea would win this match. Chelsea were playing very well in the first half. But West Ham bounced back in the second half. However, I have not seen Chelsea's performance.
I also believed Chelsea would win but the reality is what we have to adjust to. Chelsea has never had it this bad since I know the club, aside from not having a good team at the moment, they are not lucky at the same time. With their lead in the first minutes, they should have reverted to their old way of tactical defence since they needed the match.

But West Ham did not relax, instead made an impressive comeback minutes after to level the ground till the end of the match. And was even more proactive in the second half.
4499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In need of good trading teaching video link for beginner on: February 11, 2023, 03:28:43 PM
Let me start with your "PS," You simply don't need to lock the thread, I see no good purpose for doing that since another person could be lucky to benefit from the same information if useful.

And as for your request, you have a lot of work to do. I will advise you to start by reading about trading articles and resources online, don't just jump, it affects people a lot. It's when you have educated yourself theoretically that you move to the videos which I don't think are different from what you get from theories.

You should try babypips.com, investing.com and investopedia.com. Please, note that FX materials might be much there, but still, they serve the same purpose.
4500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: whether investing in bitcoin many lose on: February 11, 2023, 08:33:57 AM
It's good you have pointed out your inefficiency, but you will still be the decider eventually. Bitcoin could be used to send and receive money, you can hold it, in which your gains or losses will be proportional to the market price, and you can decide to trade it. These three categories have their benefits depending on what you want, and they show that Bitcoin dealing is not useless in any ramifications.

But trying to make money through Bitcoin is technical, you need full knowledge of trading and investment which anyone cannot single-handedly teach you here. So investing now when you don't have basic knowledge is too risky and will surely make you lose.

Invest only when you are fully prepared for the task ahead.
