4481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double or Nothing on: September 21, 2016, 06:24:31 AM
Here's a thought experiment

If I offered you $100, you could take it and walk away.
Or, you could double it or lose it all based on a coin flip.

Now, you're presented with a situation where if you take the double down, and you lose, have you really lost anything?
You never had anything to begin with until I made you this offer. Would you feel regret for not taking the $100 in the first place?

Thoughts?  Grin

i like the game you are suggesting, coin flip. and i have been looking for a game like this to play and i have not yet found a good coin flip to play at. i once found one site that was offering it but i did not like the site itself Sad

and as for the strategy, i don't like this method of gambling. double or nothing or in other words going all in is never my style. i like to manage my funds more wisely and reduce the risks of losing all of my bankroll as much as possible to be able to continue gambling even if i lost.
in double or nothing i may lose the first bet and then i would have to go home!
4482  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 21, 2016, 06:15:51 AM
Think before you invest in casinos. Unless you know who owns them and their management never invest in any of the casinos. Else you would realize one day you are being scammed.

most casinos, the owner is unknown, and especially in bitcoincasinos.

everybody is unknown on the internet, it is called anonymity for a reason!
but this doesn't mean you can't find out how trusted or un-trusted that person is. a casino owner can build up a trust with years of providing solid good service and running a trusted service that is paying out to the investors.

....
I dont think altcoin will give you chance to earn like a lot because altcoin is more chance to lose. You never know which coin will be pumped or dumped and this is more like you gambling. Btw investing your money on gambling site still depends on your luck and timing too though, without good timing I dont think you will get profit because most of big whale will take like tons of money from your investment

this is really of-topic here but you are wrong about altcoins. there are many investments and one of them is investing in trading whether it is stocks, forex or altcoins in the end how successful you are in trading depends on how experience you are in trading. so the chance of earning money is there you just have to know how to use this chance.
4483  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to send bitcoin once from my blockchain wallet? on: September 21, 2016, 06:05:22 AM
...
You don't understand my meaning at all. I have the money including mining fee. But the question is: i can't choose a total wallet balance to send, only sub-wallet balance.

what do you mean by sub-wallet balance?

do you have more than one address in your wallet? and are you sure all of them are with private keys and not just a watch only address? you can not spend the balance of a watch-only address if you have imported the public key only in your wallet but it shows the balance.

are you sure all of the inputs are confirmed? (i am not sure about this but maybe blockchain.info doesn't let you spend unconfirmed transactions)

and at last you should move this topic to online wallets board.
4484  Other / Archival / Re: Decentralized, but very slow adoption OR centralized, but mass adoption happened on: September 21, 2016, 06:01:37 AM
Recently we saw some country/city have legalize bitcoin which means could accelerate bitcoin adoption, let merchants accept bitcoin and let people use bitcoin without worry.
But, we also know it means bitcoin slowly become centralized because regulation, user verification, taxes and eliminate anonymous service as well.

i don't agree with the start of your post.
in my opinion making bitcoin legal or in other words regulations doesn't mean bitcoin is becoming centralized. we are all living in a society so we all have to obey the rules even if they are not to our liking like paying taxes but that doesn't make it centralized by any means.

Quote
So, which one is better, decentralized, but very slow adoption OR centralized, but mass adoption happened? To be honest, i don't know which one is better Roll Eyes

decentralization is one of the best features of bitcoin and if it is lost/removed then a big part of bitcoin is lost. so a decentralized and slow adoption is a lot better.
4485  Economy / Gambling / Re: What countries does primedice reject and why? on: September 20, 2016, 05:38:09 AM
Hmm,that's interesting becasue I thought everybody could access primedice.
Now I know that's actually not the case,I wonder why though

If the user wants to access this site they can access through either with VPN or with proxies. Some countries don't allow online gambling that's why this site is blocked in many countries. Even in my country also it is blocked so I will play very rarely using proxies.

apart from the country blocking the online gambling sites, it is primedice that blocks accessing their website from some countries as it is the topic of this thread. and i think it is only one country that they block which is Australia and nothing else.

and i think it is a lot of work and waste of money to buy a VPN to access primedice when you can simply use another good dice site like https://www.bitsler.com/play Grin
4486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think DiceBot will give you profit in the long run? on: September 20, 2016, 05:30:27 AM
Probably No because I tried it everyday at first I won but the next I lost.

there is no probably!
surely you will lose some day. it is dice and using a bot doesn't change anything about the game itself for you. it only makes your job easier to do and makes it automatic not manual!

Quote
So I think it is better to gamble twice a week only because the house will not notice your ip address in which you are using dicebot

this should not be true because in a provably fair system whether you play once a year or 100000 times a day you should always have the same chance.
if the dice site is making you lose based on your IP and how many times you play then it is not a fair system.

Quote
I guess the initial fund of this is 0.1 btc so play it twice a week. And you will always win in the dice game.

again there is no always.
it is dice and in gambling it is based on your luck. if you are lucky you can win even with the faucet amount and cash out your winning!
4487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things All traders should Do on: September 20, 2016, 05:25:33 AM
Thanks for the heads up. In number four, you said we should be selling when the coin is going up, not buying.
How would you know a coin is going to go up? You can only risk that move with coins that have stayed at top 10 for at least two months.

read the two sentences before that. it is about not being emotional and not just simply following the other sheep in the herd!

but when you separate the part about not buying when the price is going up, it can have a lot of exceptions. for example there are a lot of times that you can't catch the rocket to the moon and the price has not yet reached the moon so you get on mid way and get out with a smaller profit but still make a nice profit out of it.

as an example i can say XMR when the price was rising i made a lot of trades and made a lot of profit short term because i got in late but still got in before the top.
4488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stuck ? on: September 20, 2016, 05:18:23 AM
Bitcoin price has come in a moment where for more than 2 weeks now is sitting in the area of 610 USD +- 10 USD most of the time. Why has the price stopped moving up or down ? Bitcoin is well known for its instability and being very unstable but now things for me are starting to look different. I was reading bitcoin related news in clear and also deep web but could not find anything that can make the price of Bitcoin go up or down.

Any ideas why the price is stuck for more than 2 weeks now ?

the volume is an important part of the market and it is still pretty high which shows even in this rather stuck price there is still a lot of trades happening and people are accumulating bitcoin.

besides 2 weeks is nothing for an stable price. starting from last year these periods of stability are happening more and more often and they are a lot longer than 2 weeks. and there is always a rise afterwards if nothing bad like another finex hack happens!
4489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Running a exchange is a very active job on: September 20, 2016, 05:13:13 AM
i think that running a exchange is a very active job... i believe that the owner of Yobit , c cex , bitrex is spending the whole day on his exchange
I think yes, although there are bot, scrypt or another proggram for it. But sometime they can be error and the owner or administrators must be ready for services costumers who trade on there.

i don't think this is true about yobit but when you start an exchange service and running a big service with lots of customers you start it with a team of developers and support team to handle all the things from developing, security against hacks and exploits, maintaining the wallets,... but it is never a full day job. all the work is being done by the programs not people.
besides it is a lot of money, you should be working your ass of to protect it.
4490  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another one bites the dust (Bitmixer.io) on: September 20, 2016, 04:55:30 AM
Sad
try to contact the siteowners (although it does seem like an obvious scam site) ask them politely to return coins

Even if he finds their contact info and mail them these scammers will never return him the money.
I agree that the only thing he can do now is to warn others and try to expose this scam as much as he can before more people lose their money there, creating a thread here is a good start.

Bitcoinmixer.io is new to my knowledge and i don't see that nor using that either so i can't judge them by just single report only so better for him to contact support first amd wait for the reply and if he doesn't get any single reply well he can file scam report to warn others by using this kind of mixing site, and also people should be vigilant and should use those known mixing site so they can make sure that they are using the trustable site with legit operation.

don't be naive.
it is clearly a scam, because it is the exact copy of bitmixer.io they even copied the "Letter of Gaurentee" from an old date and are using that to make you believe it is real.

a new service like those two other mixers we see advertising on the forum which are also legit never copy the design! you copy when you want to use another legit service's background to scam others.
4491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing my $2,000,000 Into bitcoin (advice me) on: September 20, 2016, 04:47:05 AM
there are a lot of other initial costs that can make, making profit hard for your friend.
one of the reasons you see Chinese have many mining farms is that the mining equipment manufacturer is located there and they get their equipment cheap (so much cheaper)

also they have especial contracts for their electricity that makes their electricity again so much cheaper than regular rates.
4492  Other / Off-topic / Re: how many people do you think knows about bitcoin in your community? on: September 18, 2016, 07:17:45 AM
in my country there are so few who are aware of bitcoin and from those few mostly they are using faucets to earn some dust from them and never go anywhere more than that. and the rest who know a little bit more they too are only using bitcoin as a way of making money only not seeing it as a currency.
there are so few places that i can sell my coins to local currency as the result of this.
4493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Managed trading accounts? on: September 18, 2016, 07:02:26 AM
Well. I don't mind the trading platform/site, just the "trading service". I know there are managed accounts in Forex, commodities, Futures... but I still don't know any reliable service f that for BTC or other Altcoins.

Managed accounts are regular accounts, but managed by skilled/expert traders.

this is not a common thing in bitcoin or in crypto currency trading, unlike forex and with real money.

there are skilled/expert traders but they are doing their own thing and with their own money and even if there is someone accepting investment he will be doing it privately with people he knows. because you can never trust someone in crypto world with all the anonymity and all the scams that is happening and i suggest you don't think about this method of making profit ever.
4494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Dice Strategy also known as Martingale vs Your Bitcoin Dice Strategy? on: September 18, 2016, 06:56:16 AM
I want to share my bitcoin dice strategy. You need 0.01 btc, Bet Chance 50% to 55%. Try to bet (Your 1st bet) 0.0001 btc, If lose bet 0.0002, if lose again 0.0004 if lose again 0.0008, if lose again 0.0016, if lose again 0.0032 btc. Once you win back your bet to 0.0001 btc. Slowly but surely. Hope this strategy helps.

what if we never win ? it is possible in gambling that sometimes you divide your bits and bet more and more but everytime you may get unlucky. also, this is not a strategy. i think that every gambler in their positive mind plays in the same way in dice games. btw, you cannot have a good strategy in dice games unless you are a cheater ofcourse.

I want to bring back those questions to you, What if you never Lost? Hahaha, Just try this strategy and come back here and tell me what happens on my Strategy Cheesy This strategy not only in bitcoin dice, but also in all kind of gambling games. This is Bet Strategy Cheesy

I'm not a betting man myself, but that just sounds like the description of martingale... A strategy that has been used, and discussed on this forum for many, many times Smiley

You can use the search function and see what others have to say about it.... Some really like it, others say it's not that good.

Done researching what you talking about and found it great definition; It looks like the same with my strategy. Thank You for letting me know what "Martingale" (betting system) . Cheers.

Source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martingale_(betting_system)

it is the same and with a difference and with a big thing that you are forgetting.

the difference is that dice is not coin toss to have only two results (heads or tails) there are so many possible results ranging from 0.00 to 99.99 and some places they even have more possibilities.

and what you are forgetting and it think it is because of your lack of experience in using this strategy is that you are not managing your bankroll properly.
with 50% chance you can see a losing streak of 20 to 30+ which will burn away your bankroll in a second. so you either have to decrease your starting bet or increase your bankroll a lot more than this.
4495  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Just converted 0.5 mBTC to 8 mBTC on: September 18, 2016, 06:49:26 AM
i think you can giveawy 0,5mbtc to 8mbtc
or you can share strategy 0,5mbtc to get 8mbtc
but iam wrong, is write thread only show profit

Dont you even notice that he only made 2 bets on that site? And look at the two bets he made! He bet on two different guesses so It was pure luck, there is no strategy.

this looks to me more like an advertisement for the site disguised as a rather big win. just look at how he has written the URL of the site in camel case! normally you writ it as bitcoinbetting not BitcoinBetting
besides it is clearly a bran new site that only has 204-205 number of bets!
and the worst part of it all is the .Website part of that domain which shows how cheap the creator was that he could not even afford a normal .com .net ,... kind of domain
4496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Wallets on: September 18, 2016, 06:40:27 AM
Hello
can any one recommend a good wallet for lite/dash/ dogecoin  Huh
I m still new to cryptocurrencies...
thanks

i mostly use Exchanges for keeping altcoins since having a wallet for each of them is a lot of work.

but also two of what you named here have SPV (light) wallets: Litecoin and Dogecoin
so to keep Litecoin you can use litecoin Electrum and even make a cold storage out of it. you can use Electrum (for bitcoin) wallet docs if LTC docs was not enough for you.
https://electrum-ltc.org/

and also for Dogecoin there is an SPV wallet called MultiDoge which is similar to MiltiBit (for bitcoin) which you can again create a cold storage from this one too.

4497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make some Bitcoins by leaving computer on ( Auto pilot ) on: September 18, 2016, 06:34:56 AM
Hello everyone,
Can someone tell me how can I make some bitcoins on auto pilot except Mining. >.>
I have 6 Cores with only 2 cores to spare and 8 GB RAM in the earning.

It would really be appreciated if you can guide me also it will help me utilize full CPU usage Cheesy

Thanks.
Your Robo Cheesy

there are several programs, like minergate an others, with you can download and install and after running them, you can earn some alt coin, not bitcoins, but you can trade them to bitcoins after.
Funny story I have regarding Minergate.
A couple of months ago I was mining Monero at a really slow pace, but managed to get 7 Monero after a few weeks and forgot about them, now a couple of days ago I checked their price at Poloniex, and sold them at around 0.017 BTC per XMR.

So, I mined them just with my desktop and since I have solar power for my entire house, the only cost was basically the strain on my hardware.

ROLF
are u kidding me ?
you mined them from a desktop computer ( ordinary ) ?
can you provide more details about it like
- how many days did you mined it continuously
- how many cores you had on the computer
- was that profitable to you

I would have grateful to you if you do so
Thanks

don't know about this minergate thing that these people are talking about but you still can mine some of the altcoins with your computer. you will only need a cheap electricity, a decent GPU and be willing to run your computer for long hours to mine them. just don't download programs that are unknown telling you they can mine with this.
go to mining boards and ask for how to do it the right way with the right programs.
4498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: September 17, 2016, 08:17:01 AM
Gambling is playing against the house edge, while investing is having the house edge on your side. So far for me, gambling has make me lose almost all the time and investment in casino has made me almost quite a good return.
IMO, both of option have same risk i know you are looking the advantage you get but the risk behind it, the casino can bring out your money.

You are right investing on casino site itself would be still risky. And you can't guarantee of making money on the long run. As others said it might run all your money and end up nothing. Playing gambling on their site would surely make you lose because of the house edge.

any kind of investment that you can ever think about is risky. and you will never find a risk free one and if someone told you their investment is risk free, they are lying.

with that said, investing in a casino is not that risky that you might think. it is actually a good investment because the simple fact that the House Always wins.
you can check out the performances of each of them every month and see for yourself.
but in general when you invest in a casino you should only think about the long term not a short couple of weeks. because in the short term it is risky but in the long term the number of house wins will surely be higher than number of loses.
4499  Economy / Gambling / Re: monthly best gambling site!!! (september edition) on: September 17, 2016, 08:09:45 AM
you should split this poll. there's more than one type of gambling site (sport, casino, poker).
split would make the votes more precise.
This will certainly give a clear picture of how the gambling sites fair in their categories

this has been suggested so many times, and each month people suggest the same thing and i don't know why but OP never listens.

the current way of comparing all these gambling sites is not giving any good information because the results you get is not good enough.

people choose different games so they choose a different site on the poll, for example someone who hates Dice games will never vote for a dice site so in fact you are comparing apples and oranges here with this kind of Poll.
4500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixer or anonymous altcoin(xmr, dash), which is more anonymous? on: September 17, 2016, 08:05:56 AM
I haven't used mixers much but I think they can give you a reasonable amount of privacy. There's one called Helix that will give you untainted coins and works under Tor. Use that and should be anonymous enough. XMR and Dash don't have enough volume, but are more anonymous, or at least XMR is, im not sure about Dash.

In the future I hope Bitcoin can be more anonymous and easier to use anonymously.

XMR and Dash do have big volumes, XMR had 100k btc trading volume on poloniex when the price was pumped over 0.025btc.

Today is also 10k btc.

http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/poloniex/#BTC

Helix, I know it now, thanks

this topic is turning into an altcoin advertisement.
everybody is only mentioning the coin they are bagholding. i searched for the coin he is mentioning here (helix) and funny thing is that you can't even find it on coinmarketcap since it is not even listed on major exchanges anyways. he is offering a coin with zero volume for some reason.
and the more funny thing is that the exchanges listed on their official topic are all dead. one of them doesn't even have the domain name any longer. and the rest has delisted it.!!
