4481  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: September 05, 2015, 12:30:28 PM
I like the fact that you can hold money online without requiring tons of paper verification, so that your wealth doesnt depend on some crappy documents.

Also the fact that only I have access to my money and no 3rd parties.

Thirdly I like the fact since this opens up new ways to earn money online, and to invest in various places.

So i like bitcoin, investment & financial side more rather than other features .
4482  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: September 05, 2015, 12:28:17 PM
I dont have 1 bitcoin anymore, but i bought litecoins , NXT,Namecoin and others with it, so if my investments are good, i`ll have 10 bitcoin soon!
4483  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: September 05, 2015, 12:07:46 PM
I think our best hope is that bitcoin becomes the base currency of central banks, as in reserve currency.

To hope for something out of nothing is the most popular form of hope, lol

Then they will issue a derivative fiat paper currency that is backed by bitcoin, to kind of train the public to use bitcoin

And ultimately we are back where we started at

Of course later on we might have only bitcoin as currency, but until the people are not trained, no chance.

Later on they cancel Bitcoin content of your derivative paper currency... Oh, wait, we have already been there

Perhaps, but then people will be familiarized with bitcoin.

And then it will be equivalent with gold's history so you will have nothing to complain about in bitcoin.

If you think fiat is crap and we should adopt a gold standard, then it will be the same as a bitcoin derivative fiat currency which will implode and then everyone will use only bitcoin.

The only difference between gold and bitcoin will then be it's digital nature, so by default bitcoin will always be superior.

Looks like its when the forum is overloaded or being attacked by hackers.

I havent got any error in the last 2 weeks so i guess the admins have fixed the problems or found a better host/ firewall service.
4486  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: ██ TOP BITCOIN EARNING WEBSITES LIST ██ on: September 05, 2015, 11:53:53 AM
I pruned some crappier programs now.

I only got a few sites left now, most of them were not a great way to earn bitcoins, but the current ones are.

There are only 5 of them now left, but each one will earn you bitcoin, so good luck signing up to them!
4487  Economy / Economics / Re: We've started mainstream adoption - Pension considers Bitcoin investment on: September 05, 2015, 11:49:46 AM
I know that, i did that research too. It might be faster than that, and it will definitely be a good pension investment if your risks are adjusted accordingly.

I think a bigger rise of volatility will come after the real big adoption will start, not to mention the speculative mania that can start if price breaks above 500$.

It definitely needs 3-4 years after the adoption phase to stabilize to be considered a life-savings graded investment.

Yet given how fragile the pension funds are today, i would be more worried of bail-ins rather than bitcoin volatility.

I can't imagine if the price breaks above 500$ with a momentum, for sure we will see another 1000+$ in the bitcoin markets.

Or if the big money from pension funds start coming into the market... wow!

It will but I dont know when.

There needs to be a trigger thats for sure. Greece was not enough, since greeks people dont speak english and dont have that high tech skills.

Maybe the chinese calamity will boost bitcoin, the chinese guys are more investment orienters and opportunists and tech guys.

I think big waves of money will come from China, because those guys have alot of savings ready to be put in bitcoin.
4488  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: September 05, 2015, 11:47:14 AM
I did, I gambled a bit on satoshidice:  http://satoshidice.com

I earned ~0.04 BTC in total, it was a nice gamble Cheesy
4489  Economy / Economics / Re: Just wanted to post the break down of my investments on: September 05, 2015, 11:45:44 AM
Well 33% portfolio is not good.

You should risk less than 5% on each investment category and less than 2% on each investment program.

Dont be cowboys guys, bitcoin is risky, and due to scams it even riskier, so be careful with the investments guys!
4490  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: September 05, 2015, 11:44:35 AM
I`ve wasted some time with getting rich in bitcoin. Now i know its not that easy to do.

However i wasted so much time with other crap that i think bitcoin was still the most productive of all.

Not to mention bitcoin is still growing so it will be better later on!
4491  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: September 05, 2015, 11:32:39 AM

worst case scenario: never

There is no never, fiat currencies are on decline, and they will be gone in one way or another. People really start to lose trust in them , and just wait until the inflation become worse and worse.

Eventually if enough people start to use bitcoin, it will be an unstoppable juggernaut.

I think a vast majority of people who really like bitcoin have been attracted to it because it offers privacy and anonymity, something which no currency has to offer. The reason I think bitcoin even exists is because it is a way of how transactions are made anonymously, something which could be harmful too but that's the very reason why bitcoin is used, on a larger scale.

I think that only the initial users, most people dont give a crap about privacy unfortunately.

But they will give a crap when the food prices rise tenfold in a year, they will need a stable currency, and all it takes is a google search discover bitcoin.

EXPERIMENT:

I wrote in Google:  "BEST CURRENCY", and it's on the first page 11th result this article:

http://www.economist.com/blogs/babbage/2011/06/virtual-currency

So it's really easy to find if you look for it, they might not look for it now, but later as inflation hits, they will!

Here is Google Trends:

You can see people tend to look for a better currency than they currently have, and with the forecast they will look more and more for it!

Same with "SAFE CURRENCY"

It's also on first page of google search if you search for "safe currency", you can find easily bitcoin there, and the google searches have spiked in 2015, so i guess bitcoin is growing fast now!

So Bitcoin will be growing dont worry Wink
4492  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: September 05, 2015, 11:27:23 AM
Bitcoin must be sold in one way or another.

Or how exactly you want a liquid economy in bitcoin?

Imagine if all the miners who mined bitcoin would have never sold them, then bitcoin would never exist, as the trading volume also determines the value of the coin.

And for each buy you need a sell, so sorry but your logic is flawed OP!

4494  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: September 05, 2015, 11:23:15 AM

There will be always skeptics, even if btc hits again 1000$, they will say that its another bubble and that it will pop too and die.

$1000 is still nothing. It could be squashed flat and the rest of the world wouldn't care less at that price level.

Ok but last time it didnt even hit 1000$ it was probably 870$ or something, because the mt gox guys have manipulated the prices with fake accounts.

Plus back then there were less bitcoins.

Now if it hits 1000$ that would be a 14,556,000,000$ market cap, which is not peanuts.

Its far bigger than any other newbie project in any sort of fintech, so the world would start to grab attention by then.

After it hits 100 billion $, then it will start to be really serious.

Imagine the capital that needs to be solidly into bitcoin to push the price to 100 billion..... does it feel like that kind of money is running into bitcoin, or even close?  No way in hell this thing is going anywhere for a long time.

I always thought the halving will be the catalyst, however, I think the number of coins mined has nothing to do with the current price. So halving will do nothing, if anything it will tank after the halving.

There will be nothing new in bitcoin land unless bitcoin itself improves in a way that a whole lot of people will value. I see nothing on the horizon that is that type of improvement. Nothing. It will happen, but I think we are 5-10 years from anything significant changing.

Who said anythng here about 100 bil bitcoin price, thats pretty impossible, and probably the dollar will be hyperinflated by then if it happens.

I estimate around 700-800k $ for bitcoin price if the total global GDP goes into it.

So that is also unlikely so I guess a 25000-50000$/ btc is a more likely scenario in the next 10-15 years.
4495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good websites to Invest My Bitcoins? on: September 05, 2015, 11:17:10 AM

anyone could review the liquidity swaps i mean both of polonex and bitfinex?
i just really know the advantage and disadvantage both of them
thanks anyway

Well they work like any other liquidity swap.

You lend money to the guys who want to use margin trading (leveraged accounts) and i think you win in both cases even if they win or lose.

Until they use leverages i think the funds are safe, but the interest on it will depend i think on how much loan they take. Of course the price will vary, so there will be volatility, but not much.

They are usually a safer instrument but it all depends how the exchange handles things around, there might be many hidden risks with it, so make sure you read their risk statements.

Guys I already made a list with the best/most practical sites that can be invested in:

4497  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: September 05, 2015, 11:10:18 AM
Or you could buy all the bitcoin in the current economy and slowly sell them out at whatever price you want. that'll get you really rich.

Eventually you dont even have to, just buy it up and wait.

Bitcoin's price will go up in the longterm very nicely and you can then buy directly real world items with it!
4498  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock Market Crash =\= Bitcoin Surge on: September 05, 2015, 11:05:24 AM

Nice analogy.

Still, without a bull market to speculate on, we won't see large buy-ins in an economy where people are frightened to invest at all.

People will always invest until they are shackled or dead.

The question is where will the printed money go?

Buying up stocks/bonds & their derivatives so that the rich speculator gets richer?

Or buying up corn or other cereals so that the poor starves to death as all bread and bakery items will be ultra expensive?
4499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 05, 2015, 11:02:07 AM
Gambling isn't wrong, but you shouldn't do it since it's very dangerous.
Many gamblers become addicted & lost their money Sad

As long as you're pro, smart or can control your desire, gambling should be okay

Above all gambling requires a lot of discipline. It is hard but it can be done, and then you might end up profitable in the end!
