4481  Economy / Economics / Re: The Latest Crypto Price Dip Is Fueled By Fake News Relating to Quantum Computers on: September 25, 2019, 04:17:55 PM
Lol!! Without going to the controversy whether Google has achieved quantum process of 53 Qubit power or not, I think there is no correlation at all! Quantum computer will have much larger scope for mankind, why would it be used to break the encryption of bitcoin only?? That's dumb thinking!

I would rather think, Google will use its quantum computer very cautiously without hurting anyone or anything, even after having the capability of doing so! I am sure bitcoin users have at least that much gray matter in their brain!

4483  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the cause of the current sharp drop, any fundamental? on: September 25, 2019, 06:01:25 AM
Just like always(probably 80%-90% of the time), it's most likely just because of typical volatility of bitcoin. We're just going to waste our time finding the reason why the price really dropped because there's literally no way for us to 100% verify what the main cause is anyway.

If you're bullish in the long term anyway, just stack sats and close your coinmarketcap tab.

Meh, just wait it out. And if you have some excess fiat lying around, its your chance to buy cheap. Panic sell will only lead you to loses, the price will find its natural place, and if it doesn't correction ensues.
Seems like the “Panic Selling” is the most used words in crypto whenever there’s a dropping of value like now.why not instead of this words ,let’s just talk about PANIC BUYING.?lol 😂

I have purchased my half month of payroll last night when the price fall to $8,400 and I’m lucky enough because it seems that the value is stabilizing by now

Excellent decision!! I wish I could have done the same! The market is stabilizing at 8.5 grand now but I don't think it will even hold this price by the end of the day! Many people fail to understand an opportunity period and then they lose the chance to make the most out of it! It's a psychological factor indeed!
4484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Tender-Will Bakkt Act As cure-all? on: September 24, 2019, 07:01:52 PM

‘’The Bakkt news is ostensibly the most bullish occasion for institutional financial specialists in the historical backdrop of bitcoin’’ tweeted digital money expert Scott Melker. Supported by the New York Stock Exchange, the bitcoin market is relied upon to arrive at its zenith with a successful advancement rate.

The person on foot of Bakkt is simply the Intercontinental Exchange which is a $52 billion market top exchanging mammoth. It was at first expected to start last December however factors like national government shutdown deferred it and after that facebook Libra took the features, yet now the hotly anticipated Bakkt is back which would likewise challenge Libra.

News Source: TheCoinRepublic
 https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/bitcoins-fragility-will-bakkt-act-as-panacea/

In reality, the market has decreased by around 15% from the day bakkt launched! While majority of the community members including me are bullish about Bakkt because they offers the first physically settled bitcoin future contract, but everything seems move to the different way!

Do you think it is a mere correction or there is a correlation?
4485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRX TRON will hit its ATL? on: September 24, 2019, 06:35:30 PM
Is it true that TRX TRON will hit its ATL (All time low?)

No one knows! All major cryptos are facing the downfall inclusding stable coins like TUSD or USDT. These stablecoins usually show an upward trend during any downfall, but this time it is somewhat different! Even the bitcoin hash rate has decreased by a big percentage from 22 September. So something is going on to the market which we have no idea about!

Quote
IMO it looks like that the coin is going to be hitting its ATL, if this happens then we will see that the total market cap of this token will be reduced to 10 million in total, then may be when bitcoin will hit its new ATH in around 2020, & all the cryptocurrencies will get a minimum 50% to maximum 10000% or more boom then I can expect based on some popular cryptocurrency analyzers that the coin will hit its ATH, I don't know that how much it will increase but I think it will make it stable to that price where it should be.

Given the fact, that bitcoin's market dominance is around 69%, it is possible for other cryptos to see a rally along with bitcoin. But no one knows about the time! How can you claim that all cryptos will see a new ATH in and around 2020?? What substancial proof you have to prove this claim?
4486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big drop in hashrate on: September 24, 2019, 06:01:10 PM
Looking at many other charts, I am not seeing it.
Still at about the proper 6 blocks per hour.

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/ has it at 82.77 Eh/s
https://explorer.viabtc.com/btc has it at 82.84 EH/s
https://btc.com/ has it at 83.11 EH/s

You will always have variance and occasionally big spikes, but so long as over a few hours or a day you are at 6 blocks an hour then hashrate is about constant.

-Dave

You may want to try the below link,

https://www.blockchain.com/charts/hash-rate?timespan=60days

The hash rate drop is pretty visible! It was standing at 98,120,057 TH/s on September 22nd at 5:30 AM, which then dropped to 67,383,654 TH/s within just 24 hours! For the same period, the median transaction confirmation time has increased to 13 minutes which is highest as compared to the last two month's statistics! I wouldn't wonder if it has direct relation with the market price!
4487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchange Alternatives - What Are The Best Ones Out There? on: September 24, 2019, 05:37:15 PM
Hey guys!

I think this can be very useful to someone who is starting out or maybe wants to change exchange because of some rates or something.

So I added some exchanges on one page where you can choose one post and read it trough.

If you want to see a review/alternative for some exchange, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Here is the page that I am talking about - https://paybis.com/blog/exchange-alternatives/

I must admit your digital marketing capability is great! You indeed researched a lot about an exchange and drawn out every negative points about it, then redirected us to the paybis exchange with a greatly written comparison so that everyone understands the benefit of using Paybis over other exchanges. You should start your own blog and start providing ratings to the exchanges. You are good at it!

For me, Binance is best! Let me know if any other exchange has "SAFU"?
4488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Supply is meeting demand. The number of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide is up over 500% on: September 24, 2019, 04:21:10 PM
Hey, it's Bitrawr. I've been following the Bitcoin ATM landscape for a while now and recently drew attention to the latest figures.

The number of Bitcoin ATMs from September 2016 to September 2019 has increased by over 500%. As of now, there are currently 5,457 Bitcoin ATMs globally. I believe that this is indicative of the strong demand for anonymously transacting between fiat/bitcoin.

https://twitter.com/bitrawr/status/1174682600834764803

It's great if the number of bitcoin ATMs are increasing globally! But that certainly doesn't mean the adoption of bitcoin is also increasing! The kind of premium every ATM charges, is astronomical! I personally prefer p2p transaction over crypto ATM!

However, the increasing number of crypto ATMs are actually good for bitcoin promotion. It will make a lot of local people intrigued about bitcoin and some of them will actually go ahead to search about it or ask others which in turn increase the awareness about bitcoin!
4489  Economy / Economics / Re: Repro market cash shortage... is it something to be worried about? on: September 24, 2019, 06:24:42 AM
The repro market is seeing a shortage of cash that forced the FED to do an emergency meeting yesterday night to print 53 Billions.
They also lowered the interest rates of 0.25

It was not enough, today there is again a shortage of cash in the repro market. So what is coming next? It says that a total of more than $90 had to be printed so that the bank can continue to borrow.

When the FED had their meeting yesterday night, the crypto got about 10% jump. Today because of the FED lowering the interest rates, the crypto dump 10%. Are the market becoming crazy or are we seeing the first sign of correction coming?

Here are the two articles worth to read about this subject.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/nobody-knows-whats-going-repo-market-freezes-overnight-rate-hits-all-time-high-10

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/fed-begins-repo-operation-funding-rates-ease

Firstly, it is NOT "repro", it's "repo". It's a market controlled by the central banks from where banks borrow money for short/long term. It is an effective tool to fight inflation. When the inflation rises, central bank increases the repo rate to drain out the excess money supply from the hands of people to banks and vice versa!

Now coming back to the money printing business! In no way, repo rate reduction calls for money printing. When a central bank needs to increase the money supply in the market, it comes for their reserve! New money is not printed because it further devalues the currency. No central bank would risk that during the time of cash crunch. It's suicidal!!

Now coming to the correlation! There's none at all! 10% ups and downs are very very normal to the crypto market. If there was a correlation, the price of bitcoin would have jumped after both extra cash supply and interest rate reduction. It wouldn't have decreased!
4490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Companies Competing to Create Crypto's FATF Solution on: September 24, 2019, 04:23:11 AM
I didn't realize there were multiple companies competing to fix this recommendation. I had heard about TRISA before but the others not so much. I know these aren't laws yet but instead recommendations so it'll be interesting to see what exchanges choose to do

That's why the article clearly wrote,

Quote
The first solution, rather than the best solution, may become the industry standard

Ciphertrace is the pioneer company in the market of blockchain analytics and global compliance. However, it is highly unlikely to see a lot of different solutions being adopted by the crypto businesses worldwide to comply with the FATF guidelines. Moving into an unified solution will be less confusing and more market friendly!
4491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price prediction, Crypto Currency Journey Planning. on: September 23, 2019, 06:14:38 PM
Lol!! If any of these predictions become true, I would also become a rich man!! I wouldn't need to work my ass off for 9 hours everyday!

These are mere speculations. While I really want these to become a reality, but these speculators don't have substance to prove their speculations. So we must be using our own brain before cheering!
4492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first Bakkt Bitcoin Futures trade on: September 23, 2019, 03:57:04 PM
According to the below article, the first day trading volume in Bakkt is little over $290,000. Not a great start indeed! Especially with the huge hype they enjoyed before the launch whereas CME had managed to get over few hundred millions within the first week!

https://www.coinspeaker.com/bitcoin-ices-bakkt-futures-250000-barrier/

However, I am still very optimistic about bakkt because it has the capability of turn the tide in favor of crypto as it is physically settled contract unlike any other contracts available in the market!
4493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will xrp time arrive or are still going to see bitcoin at top on: September 23, 2019, 03:07:07 PM
at the current state of ripple or what we called xrp
we see it move from .2 to .3 the situation is unclear wethear this coin has what it takes to compete or even go toe to toe with bitcoin
there are some news that xrp is now communicating with some remittance abroad to try to show how fast xrp is , but will this also help the price to rise to even like 5$ im not really sure what will happen in the past few days but im positive with the news I read
what do you think ? feel free to give your opinion

XRP is not entirely a cryptocurrency! It is more like a digital version of Western Union who is trying to gain some prominence in the digital remittance market. XRP team has been pitching their products to a lot of money exchanger, Banks since a long time now.

If I am not mistaken, ripple has already struck partnerships with Unionbank or Philippines and Moneygram at the beginning of 2018. But it didn't help ripple in any way. Don't even think that Ripple has the capacity to compete with bitcoin.
4494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if SOUTH KOREA SHUTTINGDOWN BTC??? on: September 23, 2019, 06:33:16 AM
Bitcoin is facing some hard and complicated situation these past few weeks.

since when a currency having a stable price is considered "hard and complicated situation"?

What do you think is the big and huge effect and outcome if South Korea beyond doubt to plan and decide to shut it downs the crypto?

i think you may benefit from familiarizing yourself with the concept of being "decentralized". it is not just a word.

I don't entirely agree with your viewpoint here! South Korea is the third largest country in terms of transaction volume, just behind Japan and USA. If (in worst case) South Korean government decides to ban all crypto exchanges and declare it illegal, a huge impact will be seen in the market during the exit period. Even though the impact will be temporary, there's no way we can escape that! No matter how decentralized the market is!
4495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt has traded only 7 BTC so far on: September 23, 2019, 04:07:14 AM
This was always the "moonshot bet" of the NYSE ownership, looks like an underwhelming start to Bakkt trading with only 7 BTC traded.

How will Wall Street react to Bitcoin-settled futures?

https://www.instagram.com/p/B2vLp43pI2A/

Bitcoin is still a controversial currency to a lot of traders, especially to the conventional ones! Today is the first day of bakkt I don't know from where did you get the figure of 7 btc only. The instagram link you have shared, did not talk about the volume!

I am still very optimistic about Bakkt because no other exchange offers physically settled bitcoin future contracts! It may take its own sweet time but eventually Bakkt will become a major volume driver in the crypto market.
4496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2019, 04:05:41 PM
No! Unless the ATM companies give up the premium they are taking from each transaction! I personally wouldn't prefer to use a crypto ATM unless I have some emergency! I would always prefer p2p route because it provide a lot better pricing!

However, there's a positive side of crypto ATMs as well. An increasing number of crypto ATMs would make a lot of people intrigued about cryptos! Especially those, who are not exposed to it yet! Probably some of them would inquire about it, would probably do some google search and try to understand the cryptos. So such ATMs can make some indirect impact. But the chance of direct impact on adoption looks really feeble!
4497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just my own stupid or smart thought about ETH blockchain on: September 22, 2019, 03:24:33 PM
Ask yourself this question, which platform is the most used in crypto space today? its ETH and its smart contract that is been used by both good and bad developers the most, Tron blockchain is not like this because last year i witnessed when tron teams start getting rid of scam projects off their blockchain, it will be better if ETH do something like this in its next upgrade, scammers have too much freedom and its hurting crypto, my idea might sound stupid to some but don't mind i am just thinking of ways to fight scam projects even if regulation didn't come sooner

Tron is a highly centralized cryptocurrency! It's not my word, this sentence was said by the co-founder and ex-CTO of Tron, Lucien Chen! So it is possible for them to remove the scam project off their network. But the same is not technically possible for ETH. It would have been great if ETH can do the same but there's no way!

The only weapon for us against scammers is the "Awareness"! Stop visiting some non-sense ICO listing websites because these websites are getting paid for listing ICO projects so they wouldn't mind in listing few scam projects that looks great and sounds high-tech! But our self awareness is something that these scammers can never beat! So trust your own instinct!
4498  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Bakkt will influence Bitcoin price? on: September 22, 2019, 02:37:21 PM
Bakkt's presence in the crypto industry  only signifies that there is a growing demand among traditional investors and other  people who are interested to invest on digital assets like Bitcoin as a way to diversify their portfolio and Bakkt did recognized it and catered to those needs by offering Bitcoin futures!

In this regard, I would assume it will have a positive effect on BTC's price and should pave the way for more of these types of  investors to join on this growing trend.

Spot on! People have to remember, that Bakkt is gearing up to offer physically settled bitcoin future contracts! That means, if Bakkts receives an order for a future contract from an investor, they will have to buy equivalent amount of bitcoins from the market. If a buyer of the contract is willing, they can take delivery of the equivalent amount of bitcoins to their personal wallet. This is indeed going to help the bitcoin market because the demand is going to increase.

However, I don't expect any immediate effect to be seen in the market. We may see some spikes or downtrends in the market depending on the demand, but it requires a lot of money to manipulate a $180 billion market! But Bakkt is definitely a plus!
4499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Claims Quantum Supremacy on: September 22, 2019, 01:48:00 PM

It seems like IBM has also achieved a similar milestone. Read the news below,

https://www.cnet.com/news/ibm-new-53-qubit-quantum-computer-is-its-biggest-yet/

Bitcoin is protected by 256 bit encrypted architecture so I don't see any rrason to worry right at this moment. Even if 256 qubit is achieved by 2022, not necessarily bitcoin will be their target!

BTW, what is Lantern signature? I am clueless about it and also didn't get any details through Google! Can you please explain?
4500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Bulls Celebrate Too Early? on: September 19, 2019, 05:38:39 PM
The cryptocurrency market was overwhelmed with positivity throughout the past couple of days as all of the major coins were trading in the green. A lot of them scored double-digit gains, causing many to believe that we might have entered a new altcoin season. However, this notion was quickly dismissed as today the entire market is bleeding red. Bitcoin plunged around $600 in a massive red candle, bringing all other altcoins with it.

Full Article

What point you are trying to establish exactly?

$600 plunge means around 6% dip! It is pretty normal in crypto market and provides excellent profit making opportunity for swing traders! I agree that there's nothing to celebrate, but I don't see anything to worry as well! It's very very much normal crypto market to see 10%-12% ups and downs! While I post this reply, the market has already started rebounding and recovered half of its losses!
