4501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 07, 2021, 09:44:37 PM
Price is still hesitating, still in consolidation and Im not sure we have established the bottom price on daily and weekly perspectives.    We are still revolving around the 50 day average which if price action was strong would not mean for us to wait for so long.

Its above all the moving averages it failed prior but I'll ignore that and say 57340 is the level to keep its head above water and stay positive going forward medium term.  This is roughly the level first seen as the peak of Feb and its been significant since then also, I believe its a more important marker now of progress to judge price strength on.  Thats my perspective for the weekend into Monday open which is arguably the most important day to trade and decide direction on.   BTC is distracted by these foreground questions and cannot progress till answered.
4502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never go below $50,000 again on: May 06, 2021, 11:59:14 PM
Permanently below 50k is too big a call but another requirement for lower prices and higher volume confirmation seems quite likely to me.   We certainly have ongoing hesitancy

We're back below 2 day, weekly and 50 day average again though it can recover it overnight I wonder what will it take to break a range and move on from here in some significant way.   My personal take of the lows that it did not resolve the bearish case for the rest of the year so I expect more but also new highs are possible.
4503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is Faster to dwindle at the price in the long run BITCOIN OR GOLD on: May 06, 2021, 11:07:22 PM
Contrast, the gold found has to be compared to the amount of people in the world and the usage trend for gold.   Also no price is a singular thing, its a fraction in which the denominator is the currency so we must always consider the strength of dollar vs the price of the asset.   Gold is always going to be more slowly discovered and mined then dollars are produced, clearly its incredibly easy to produce more dollars and there is barely any restraint in doing so.   Gold is not produced on earth by any means but the real thing to consider is technology and energy usage has increased production so thats fair, supply is expanding and will continue to do so but that does not equate to a bearish price.  This applies to almost every commodity but not BTC, supply will increase to satiate demand even after all this gold is bullish on a decade view.

All of this relates to cryto in that its not enough for BTC to be limited and so we are bullish, its far more complicated and varying and so to gold.  Long term both BTC and gold are going to be far more limited then dollar availability but the real base measure for me is usage trend.    Also finally I would say the population growth on earth creates demand for any useful product and is giving a greater division to any supply so no figure can be considered in isolation.
4504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the price always trend towards all 5's on: May 06, 2021, 05:09:20 PM
The ultimate end game, Bitcoin becomes like a slot machine all 5's is the best payout outcome Cheesy    People allocate significance and that is a real phenomena in pricing, the most obvious being every 10k is a flat number with all the zeros and easy to enter into orders on an exchange and so on as well as registering in the brain as a major mile stone to step over.   Same reason we have many prices at $99.99 as if its any cheaper then 1 cent more

Its real but at the same time not important longer term.   Right this moment the price is orbiting around the 50 day average which happens to be very close to here, its not at a ceiling exactly as we've gone over but how I would view it is like a magnetized price, we both attract and repel from here until something bigger eclipses this area.
4505  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 Betnomi.com - Crypto Centric 🏀Sportsbook and 🎲Casino - 🔥Biggest Jackpots on: May 06, 2021, 04:45:34 PM
Higher ranked accounts are just people who've been around longer thats all, there is no special secret beyond just likely registering a few years back etc.  They are probably just stating their experience which is likely greater as they are the older accounts.    Put it this way, gambling is profitable business inside crypto and out the main challenge is getting customers to regularly bet and take part; its in their interest to allow proper usage not this idea its a fake site because thats really short term dead end idea of a site.   If the problem is KYC then just say that, its not an uncommon complaint overall and can be a pain definitely on any site.

Decided to try my luck with the free spins, not too shabby although I'd rather have BTC in place of RP Grin

Off of the newsletter 1x wheel spin entry just before I got the 3700 SAT prize which is pretty amazing by the standards of my luck in life generally :p      I just need to find myself a good ten to one odds bet I can put it on and win and Iam really on my way.

Martingale has no merit to it, the appeal is the simplicity but no advantage is gained so its unfortunate fallacy sadly.   I first heard that one drinking in a casino bar twenty years ago and it did seem worth a go but thats it, its like an urban myth a good story to tell is the best thing about it.

Doge is into the 70's cent per Doge.  It was 1 satoshi price long time ago
4507  Economy / Speculation / Re: small price correction after this bullrun on: May 05, 2021, 11:48:11 PM

Big recovery over the course of todays action for reasons Im not sure of but buyers came in.   Whats clear is the price today and previously is closing very near to the 50 day average and its not certain we have beaten this measure which for most of this year to date has been the lows.    Of course a moving average represents a momentum measure and invariably time and price catch up and meet and we have a resolution in some direction, so far Bitcoin has not decided which of the two paths it might take or if we are merely waiting a while before resuming similarly upwards.      I always expect something dramatic like a move to the 200 day average which surprises some but on the other hand can also be considered somewhat inevitable, speculators always close out and go home again and we are back to the price that genuine users and long term holders determine and base price vs froth will be lower.
I also find 57374 is a weekly closing price of significance and again we close to that so I'd expect some velocity when crossing the border here in order to properly leave it behind.
4508  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happen to bitcoin price? on: May 04, 2021, 10:54:07 PM
53500 is area I heard called out as fairly critical, Iam just observing that it has stayed consistently below a 12hr average for 18 hours now. Thats quite an adjustment from the top, I dont think its resolved in either direction yet clearly there are still holes in the price allowing fallbacks.

53321 the low a few hours ago, we just made a slightly higher low then that which could be some positive to take  and an easy point to observe as to wider direction and positive or negativity in pricing.   Generally any fight forms higher lows as part of that and we have had only negative action looks to me just recently.  The more dangerous part of this is if we put in a lower higher on a much more important time frame like a daily bar.
4509  Economy / Speculation / Re: May 13th, Bitcoin will surge to $70k or it will be dump? on: May 04, 2021, 01:03:18 AM
I thought that Alibaba has already shoot down the rumour already?

Besides the Chinese government is hot on Alibaba and Jack Ma's company, their IPO didn't went on schedule because of regulatory pressures. And with that, I doubt that they wanted to make it worst on the eyes of Chinese regulators by investing their assets on BTC. And there was a interview from Jack Ma in 2019 saying that bitcoin is a bubble. So did he made a U-turn? So again, will take this rumour with a grain of salt.

I concur, upsetting the FEDS is one thing but you dont set out to upset the Chinese military dictatorship the communist firing line might just take you out and China isnt open to free currency and decentralized system of movement in anything really.   I really dont see this company allows themselves the risks of extreme censorship by such an easily harsh regime.     I indirectly own shares in Alibaba, I dont mind innovation at all or crypto but maybe dont cause unneeded trouble also especially while still growing.

Even disregarding that, if the 20bn is already purchased in entirety it could also be taken as some negative.  The news is within the price, more bullish would be if we already rose this far for other reasons and then in the future this company announces they will move away from Chinese and Dollar currency to Bitcoin in any part at all.    Thats when the price really would go up I think, but I disagree with OP premise as news of whatever occurred is not outright positive we are discussing rumors really but you want to know the effect on this date and its at best 50/50 either way.
4510  Economy / Speculation / Re: dont get a loan and reinvest it on: May 03, 2021, 11:59:34 PM
The attractions of leverage should pale next to the massive moves already possible in BTC, timing is everything and leverage amplifies the accuracy required to time it just right in hitting the bottom price.   Also the more leverage we have the greater this graph will twist and turn and be unpredictable as main markets leave an imprint in their influence from strength or weakness that day.
With leverage you are more likely to become one of the crowd jostled about by the largest entities not the trading ninja picking off a perfect opportunity amidst the herd gifted a vantage by crypto from the safety of the sidelines.   Its not a good idea generally, just be correct while participating in a rise or avoiding a pullback and you have enough compounded % gains just from the already present volatility in the price action.
4511  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Halving, Another ATH on: May 03, 2021, 11:55:49 PM
My original reckoning in 2019 was that 2020 would not see a price rise initially just consolidation.  What we've seen is ignited by the monetary expansion and special moves in reaction to the lockdown events.   Thats not a normal year or backdrop to predict where does BTC go from here, its hard to predict and we might still be transforming and seeing the results of excess FIAT in its inflationary effects.   Add a year onto your schedule perhaps, its true we go in cycles but I think we have to accept the prior range was incorrect for this new lower dollar value and other currencies.

There was a website called (I think it was) betsofbitcoin. Does anyone remember that website? Users could create their own events for people to bet on. Moderators would determine the outcome on the appointed date. The site seems to have been shut down years ago.

I know of a ETH token that lets users/holders design their own bets and outcome qualifiers for who wins.   I guess people can bet on anything but ideally the amount of money already involved with the outcome not being biased or made known before the end date is far greater then the amounts being bet upon on it.   There is a danger the tail will wag the dog if bets are involved with relatively low level events or sports, its unfortunate but it wouldnt be anything new to occur and its best not to tempt fate on this really.
4513  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happen to bitcoin price? on: May 03, 2021, 09:49:37 PM
We looking to make a bearish pin candle today which doesnt have to matter by itself but it just means retraction from a price for some reason.   Puts us in danger of peeping over the top of something important like 50 day and a few other moving averages then moving right back under again which seems to indicate doubts are in play and we need to revise prices further at a lower point then here.
Its not properly bearish till we form something more definite over the week, hesitation for now.

Its all about size at that point, fees dont matter to the largest transactions.   If you have enough then utilize a swap facility to send in an alt and have it converted to BTC and deposited to your address here.   I'm not familiar if they would be ok enough on fees to make that feasible, more then one site offers such a thing I think.   I used to do with this alt coins and a gold deposit, was great they took tons of stuff but then red tape arrived and it got too much hassle to deal with them, crypto has to work at all transaction sizes or I lose belief in it.

Just set 8/9 gwei fee, and triple your max gas used.

Or use what Bttzed03 suggested earlier and use BSC workaround first.

Useful to know, one exchange I use for ETH has seized up or queued almost 100 dollars worth of ETH saying its not worth their bother to acknowledge the deposit till I can stump up more, since their withdrawal fee is over 30 dollars  I guess they are at least consistent.   I should be grateful they dont forget it altogether, they also have locked hundreds in token worth some numbnuts sent to an exchange address instead of my owned wallet hence the token has never been recognized there.   Always check first wherever you send FUN, probably best buy some first at the destination to make sure its exactly possible to deposit though I've not heard of any especially similar sounding token (GFUN could warrant a warning I guess) or large mixup potential being there.
4515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: May 03, 2021, 06:14:25 PM
I'm not aware that even the Oscar Nominees has odds

Just consider any widespread event with undeterminable outcomes will easily have a market for the risk vs bets possible on it.   Its a free market for companies to put up a book to bet on and take revenue and house cut of the take on such event, why would they choose to miss out on that.   Goes for almost anything, any sport any big known event especially if theres alot of anticipation and debate just so long as either side can win ideally.
4516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin the best one to invest in? Or am i too late? :( on: May 03, 2021, 12:33:54 PM
People wrote this same thread title five years ago, two years ago even 7 years ago.  No its not too late, you may want to spread your purchase out monthly over a year or so but anyone can still be involved.   Think about it for a second, if thats not true that Bitcoin has reasons to be bought then its in trouble and it would surely fall.

I still think proof of stake ends up being superior vs the ever increasing workload of proof of work that only gets more of an obstacle for conventional blockchains to overcome and navigate with all the fee problems ongoing.
Proof of stake doesnt encounter any of that or use up so much energy easily justifying the project, I do think ENRG gains in some parallel with any wider recognition of POS benefits.   Congrats on 7 years

Carbon capture using Kelp - https://edition.cnn.com/2021/05/03/business/running-tide-kelp-carbon/index.html

Thought people might appreciate that one, they grow a cars weight of kelp in the deep ocean via a dissolving buoyancy aid which when it decays means the kelp sinks to deep ocean bottom burying the carbon.  Amazing natural solution
4518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: May 03, 2021, 12:08:52 AM
The eternal question or dilemma, is all fate pre determined and we are merely passengers in circumstance set long before we are even born.   This isnt even just a gambling question since all events in life involve chance, some slight timing can change everything.  I still have to conclude that a person makes their own luck, some are born in wealth and waste it anyway and I find thats the case with luck also.
Its rarely going to be the case a person draws just one card win or lose, its a sequence to be handled and managed in size and frequency and somehow that can mean overall a person has some influence over their chances of gaining or losing.  It is still a game of chance so dont take it as too great an absolute determiner but in the river of life I believe we are still gifted with an oar to at least give some steering as to our direction.
4519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: May 02, 2021, 11:43:16 PM
Iam super lucky in that I find I move on naturally, not sure I could handle getting caught up in something because I dont feel you'd be 100% stay true to any strategy of trying to profit or gain from your time spent gambling any particular game.    Its also arguable I might move on too quickly from a game and not go long enough to get a proper streak but I have no limit except my patience and concentration in general.   Obviously real life can just place limits of time available also and its best to just accept that as a natural limit also I think, it is a leisure past time primarily.
4520  Economy / Speculation / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: May 02, 2021, 11:11:59 PM
If people want a rally surely new money is required and so too the noobie or new people also to crypto, when theres nobody else really entering the space it will be far less dramatic movements I guess.   So perceptions of the noobs I think is some part of the price action, it explains it large part of a news dump the older participants wont react to as much.   If China comes out again and says we've decided crypto is not to be allowed to continue, it would not be anything new but it'd dump the price because of the reaction by some.    Also if nobody posts negative threads I get a little more scared it would properly sell, if nobody has doubts its ironic in being more dangerous I think.  A price often tested is less likely to fail as easily, like folding steel its part of a process.
I'm only really properly bullish on BTC or just about any product when its fully open to anyone, I'd call it the drunk test I think on a scale of how many pints of beer can you consume and still have good use of that product.   Thats the wider world of incidental usage its massive and every business for scale of revenue is driven towards the mainstream not the elite usage.  I really dont believe in whales or whatever large money story as primary instigator of a good trend growth, thats not bullish for me not beyond speculative purposes.
