@ICONOMI could you include the best wallets to receive ICN in OP?
Thanks.
Generally any wallet will work, as long as it allows you to watch a certain coin; for example, Mist or Parity is a very easy way to do so. Just make sure that you watch the token on release day, which is tomorrow, or else you won't be able to access your tokens immediately. They won't be lost, but stuck in that wallet until you watch and withdraw the tokens.

Hi sir, the address means the address of ICN issued? Where to see that address? Anyone helps? Thanks

Patience! Contract will be issued in 2 days.
Will be the contract added to myetherwallet.com automatically? Are you now talking about this?

You need to add the contract manually

If we forget to add ICN contract addy there, so will my coin be void?   Huh
No, you just won't be able to see it unless you add the contract address and the rest of the information on launch day. It'll still be there if you don't tamper with it.

If you're truly unsure, just keep your ICN on the site and withdraw it to an exchange once they provide addresses. Better safe than sorry.
It's what I'm doing.
4503  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: thminers probably a scam! on: October 09, 2016, 12:58:57 PM
Wow, so glad I came here first before buying....I saw the article today and was about to buy 2....

Always stick with trusted brands if you're buying a miner. I wouldn't even buy the first batch of a miner, you're taking a risk with even trusted brands. If this had stats like this, i doubt these guys would even be selling it. They'd be taking over the bitcoin network.
4504  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Real or BS? THMINERS.COM realeases new 60TH Bitcoin and 1200MH Litecoin miner. on: October 09, 2016, 12:35:52 PM
pretty obvious scam even if we didn't have evidence. 60ths isn't completely unreasonable, but a new company coming out of the blue, promising incredible performance. No shit it's a scam, especially when they're reusing pictures that have been used in pretty much all known mining scams.

If you're ever unsure, stick with brands you know and trust. Can't usually go wrong.
4505  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: please recommend a cheaper antminer for me on: October 09, 2016, 01:07:56 AM
I'd still consider the S7 even with such a low electricity price, but you can generally find good deals and work them out in the Computer Hardware section within Goods- always make sure you use escrow when dealing with any user involving money.

S5 can be made quieter by replacing fan, if needed. It's not as quiet as the S3, though, but it's good enough if you want a miner that won't be too loud for daily usage.
4506  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 100 watt or less miner.. With 16nm Chips.. on: October 07, 2016, 11:15:17 PM
So something similar in design to the Antminer U3?  CPU heatsinks sounds most interesting- maybe i'll finally have a use for those old intel cpu coolers.
TypeZero sounds great so far, even if it draws 200w per board, still sounds fine assuming the chips are okay. Sounds like you guys are doing some hard work- we might have another source to buy miners from besides bitmain, which is even better Cheesy Good luck, i'll be buying into a few of these this time around just to support you guys.
4507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 09:30:40 PM
Why are people worried about bounties? Every coin has bounties, people don't just mindlessly dump them. They enjoy their superior position.
Because of the potential reward they recieve. Chances are, you do something for instant rewards as a writer or a translator. I don't know very many people who hold rewards as one of those people.
Expect price to go down after bounties and the 11th of October for sure, nobody knows how low it'll go, but my guess is around 0.0004 on already established exchanges.
4508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: October 07, 2016, 08:20:28 PM
There's a lot of dangers in digital money, well, I don't think Satoshi is from CIA or whatever and I think they don't have interest in "few billions dollars"... The big players can buy all bitcoin and still have money to make a party.

But yeah, digital money can disapear, we can se a lot of altcoins going away with ICO money, can you imagine if someone do that with a ready coin?

Well, there's a lot of risks, so that's why you should not invest all your money in cryptos Wink be smart and trust none.
We can see that a lot of altcoins die just after its ICO but that is because the developers after getting a lot of money do not care any more for their currency and the investors do not have much experience and maybe will not have time to work for the currency they have invested in so with no support that coin go die.

But with bitcoin we cannot think like that as it is a major crypto currency and there are a lot of developers working for its success and the investors bring good time for it.
There's also the fact that price drops hard after the ICO and some cryptocurrencies just fail to recover after that. Some just have no reason to be good and are simply ICO coins that get instantly dumped and have no reason. You can invest time in a coin and it won't be successful if investors and users see no reason to invest in it or even just use it; look at Litecoin, it pretty much lost its momentum and the price is going down constantly.
4509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S9 Sales on: October 07, 2016, 08:15:20 PM
I sold today 3 x S9   11.85THs

Have never been opened or repaired.

I need more power to my TITAN miners and other projects. Still left 20 x S9

But mining a BTC is a high-risk venture. From 23 x S9 I only got 0.3 BTC per day using the https://btc.com/

0% PPS fee until the end of the year
That's true. BTC mining is becoming more and more volatile, and in just the next few years hobby mining will be all that's left from home miners. You might want to look at a few altcoins if you haven't already, not going to say much more because this is the bitcoin forum but they can be pretty profitable. 0.3 BTC seems pretty low; might want to try another pool.

Solo can also be fun if you want to try; chances are you won't hit anything, but I have with my tiny 6TH/S rig at home. I'll probably also sell them off for a few RX 470s, I'll mine for as long as I live in some way.
4510  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 100 watt or less miner.. With 16nm Chips.. on: October 07, 2016, 08:09:26 PM
Sad, sad news.

it's not completely over yet, I bet there will be more small 16nm sub-100 watt devices in the future. If larger companies realize that there's actually a large demand for them we might see a product elsewhere. I'm still hyped for something to come out from sidehack, the dream is still alive Smiley hopefully you guys get a good chip provider and things next time around, I still believe in you guys ^^
4511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 04, 2016, 12:02:09 AM
It's how they've done their job, and you should just accept that. Half of the translations and blog posts are just copy-pasted anyways, and the person processing the bounties have done an excellent job of making sure nothing gets through. You've already got a pretty good profit from just initially buying from the ICO assuming you sell your ICN at the marketed price as of now; that's more than you can expect from most other ICOs. I've made a blog post and am waiting for it to be accepted; if you have an issue, contact them. Otherwise, it's your fault for not realising the opportunity in this at the beginning.

They're probably sorting through the shitposting in the bounties at this point, we'll be lucky if the funds become withdrawal next week.
4512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 03, 2016, 11:39:23 PM
This thread is full of optimistic people but do you guys really believe in ICONOMI or posting good comments just to save your investment
Honestly, it's looking good but not as good as some people think. Obviously there is some potential here, but I personally think it's being exaggerated a bit. Then there's the fact that funds have not bee withdrawal yet. We still have a lot of speculation before the funds get released.
4513  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: So, only one Bitcoin miner on market right now. on: October 02, 2016, 11:55:10 PM
It would be better to see more mining equipment. What is actually letting people down to bring them on the market? Since in most places the cost for electricity is high, so why are there no other solutions?

Before we had these usb sticks, there is an bitmain router, though it is old equipment and not profitable nowadays, why is it all gone?
Because manufacturers see no need to create more equipment; mining is already more centered on datacenters and people with cheap electricity, so alternatives are now less useful(at least what they think imo). Bitcoin mining has moved off of the home mining scene steadily in the last few months, and we should have seen this coming. I don't forsee any major alternatives to the S9 and A-series miners anytime soon.

Altcoin mining has become pretty viable for most people (GPU coins like ETH and Monero) and it's where home mining is moving very rapidly. Looking at it can't hurt.
4514  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: i have the money for mining and i live in Venezuela on: October 02, 2016, 06:22:42 PM
if you have free electricity s9 is a very good choice
you are looking at the ROI of 7-8 month with the current difficulty level
from what I know,Venezuela is very poor on a brink of financial collapse due to the oil price hitting the new low every month
and OPEC unable to make up their mind as to cut the oil production or not
not sure if buying mining equipment is a good idea in your situation
especially if you spend all of your savings on it,risks are huge
The potential profit is also huge; it's a coinflip in this occasion, but the S7-LN could also work just fine, as well as the regular S7.
Anyways, i'll go ahead and say that this thread is probably dead already due to the OP not responding in a very long time. With nearly free electricity, which I expect will probably happen due to OP living in Venezuela, it's possible to get very quick ROI on pretty much any miner not any older than the A6 or S7. That said, as of now, mining with bitcoin really isn't the best option for many people even with good electricity.
4515  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Dont have to pay for electricity, whats the best miner? on: October 02, 2016, 04:53:04 PM
I have a few S3s running at my house and also a few modified S5s with replaced fans that made them quieter than they originally were; unfortunately, quiet miners have mostly disappeared from the market with the exception of the Bitmain R4 and the Avalon 6. There's also the S1 if you don't mind the insane hashrate to power ratio; it runs pretty well and is average in terms of sound production.
4516  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fastest, least efficient, USB miners on the market? on: October 02, 2016, 04:43:58 PM
No real stickminers go up too high, and in terms of hashrate, the gekkoscience compac is the best you'll get, like many others before me have said. The main reason is that USBs can't use much electricity and therefore don't create much hashrate with the little power that is usable, and second, the usb miner market has shrunk so much that it's not worth producing(at least what companies like bitmain and Avalon think).

If you're looking for just a quiet miner, the Antminer S3 can do. it's not terribly efficient, but it's quiet and pretty fast. The U3 is also an option if you're looking for even more compact machines. Otherwise, the USB market isn't looking good at all and i'd be surprised if any more from a manufacturer will ever be released.

It's not the USB miner market that has shrunk...it's the AVAILABILITY of ASIC chips to MAKE miners has shrunk  Roll Eyes

ASIC makers are keeping the shovels for themselves  Sad

Go GPU mining, takes awhile to ROI if your not up on the altcoins, but it makes more BTC with less power, for me at least  Wink
Besides that, stickminers also don't generally sell as well as full miners in most cases; i'm sure that's one of the variables that lead to this. Hopefully there'll be more in the future, stickminers have always been great things to toy around with. GPU mining ROI is relatively quick and offers a good resell price; it's an okay idea to try gpu mining if you already haven't. Used GPUS also make great gaming rigs if you decide not to use the gpus anymore, that's what I did with my old rig. Smiley
4517  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I'm New - Need BTC Mining Help on: October 02, 2016, 04:40:31 PM
IMHO
CONS:
no point to start with the mining unless you have very low cost electricity(0.01-0.03 cents/kwh) and even then you would have to balance your power consumption

Can you tell me 1 place in the US power is this cheap?
well, people live outside the US too Smiley
besides one could use the freshly bought solar panel  http://news.energysage.com/how-much-does-the-average-solar-panel-installation-cost-in-the-u-s/
not sure if the energy price would be as low as stated above, but there are options to cut the energy costs even if you are living in the US
only issue with that is the fact that solar panels are easily damaged and the fact that they'll need lots of maintenance. Lots of forum members have tried using solar, and it just doesn't work very well at all. THe general rule of thumb is that if you can't mine with your current electrical rate, you probably won't be able to mine anytime in the future. Solar doesn't cut energy costs at all in most cases with mining.

4520  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining in 20 years time on: October 01, 2016, 10:55:50 PM
99.21875% will be mined in 20 years time. If electricity isn't very cheap by then and/or if bitcoin isn't worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, it's hard to imagine anybody wanting to mine then. How will transactions then be verified?

I think there is always a solution. Does bitcoin community has developers with ability to change code and submit new feautres? If yes, that's a number one resolution. Otherwise i heard switching to POS(Proof-of-Stake) system will give node runners a reward for approving transactions.

The solution has been there right from the start, and there is no need to change anything in the code just because the cap of 21M coins will be hit one day. Mining will not stop due to no more coins to be mined. Miners will profit from transaction fees, and they are already profiting from them right now (up to a few percentages of mining reward)...

In short, this problem is essentially nonexistent

I still see a potential problem in that in order for miners to be kept interested, mining fees will have to rise significantly to offset the loss of new coin generation rewards they currently earn, and at the point where fees are significant enough to keep the network properly decentralized, will using bitcoin in any capacity be cost-competitive? Micro-transactions are something that bitcoin has a huge advantage over the traditional banking system, but it seems to me micro-transactions will become impossible in the future with the rise in mining fees that will accompany the loss of new coin generation rewards.

The mining transaction fee has to increase, but the price of the bitcoin should also increase to attract more miners.
It's inevitable that fees will increase; if we increase the blocksize right now, fees will indeed lower, but this will have a negative effect in the future when blocks are pretty much all mined. The price of bitcoin is uncontrollable, and although it's highly likely that will increase, it's not guaranteed. Most of us won't even be alive by the time blocks are all mined in terms of block reward without transaction fees; it's not a huge issue to us at the moment.
