4501  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Crypto Bank on: January 26, 2022, 11:35:42 PM
There are some crypto virtual banks operating borderless already and from times to times more of them are being created, what is pretty good because this way we have a healthy and decentralized competition among services of this same kind, aiming to offer the best possible services to their users. So customers have access to competitive interest rates and promotions when investing their crypto funds. Compared to traditional fiat banks I think it's much better already, as every services you need from a traditional bank you can also find at a crypto one, including credit cards with pretty decent cashback rates, depending your investment size at the platform, accordingly to its internal requirements.
I keep 90% of my money in crypto and when I need fiat I use crypterium card to transfer my crypto to card. Maybe fees are a bit higher then the cards from banks but still all transaction are done instantly and that is one of big good things from crypto in general.
Very nice. I use an app called Alter (formerly AlterBank) which is unfortunatelly exclusive for my country as far as I know. They give a free credit card (although the money is instantly debited from the account) without any kind of fees, plus cashback of 0,5% on every purchases. Users can make deposits in fiat or bitcoin on their accounts and exchange it from one currency to another internally.

So just like you, I follow a similar financial strategy keeping a high percentage of my funds in bitcoin... Every month I exchange the necessary amount of money from btc to fiat for monthly expenses using this app, in order to use the credit card. We are putting high expectations on bitcoin, hum?

I wasn't aware about Crypterium yet. I will take a look on this later, thank you!
4502  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is why I love this forum...and we should make it more powerful on: January 26, 2022, 09:07:59 PM
Well, many casinos promote their services on this forum for a good reason, that is directly linked to the fact bitcointalk forum holds a lot of legitimacy and influence in crypto gambling industry. If a casino goes shady you can be sure it won't be forgotten on this forum and it will be also very clear for every gambler who might start reading some threads around.

In case of doubt, you can even tell your gambler friends who aren't members of this community to always search on google the name of the casino they are looking for and bitcointalk keyword together to find out if that is a good site to play or not.
4503  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 26, 2022, 05:59:34 PM
Usually another users' experiences are going to make me reach to a final conclusion if the casino is worth or not. If the reviews are positive and there aren't legit complaints I would give it a try without any doubts, but if gamblers are facing constant issues while trying to cashout their funds, making deposits due to delays and having their accounts banned because the casino is trying to difficult the payment process, I would definitely stay far away from that site. Inactive, slow customer support is also a big factor that would most probably turn me off from the platform.
4504  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Deep before the Raise on: January 26, 2022, 05:23:21 PM
Bitcoin price previous this similar time was deep but bitcoin price touched $65k+ in 2021.Now bitcoin price little dip and recent price $37k+. Few days ago bitcoin price under $35k+.I hope bitcoin price will be more and more increase this year and i Think crypto market will be green again this year. All coin depends on bitcoin price.

Now Bitcoin is starting to slowly rise again, having previously dropped below $35k. Of course I hope the price of Bitcoin continues to rise,
because I still believe the price of Bitcoin this year will be better than in 2021. Therefore we must not panic and sell our Bitcoins in a situation
like now, sometimes the price of Bitcoin needs to decrease first, to be able to go much higher. That's how Bitcoin works, so no need to worry
if the price of Bitcoin drops deep enough in early 2022, but slowly the price of Bitcoin will rise again and the next price will go up very high in 2022.
So never doubt the future of Bitcoin, take advantage of low prices like now to continue to collect as much Bitcoin as possible.
It's early to say it yet, because the scenario isn't solid at bitcoin's favour. We have seen a nice fluctuation up to 37,475$ today, but the price is already bouncing back to 36,632$ again. To make sure bitcoin is really recovering, this pattern must repeat itself for the next days until a new support level becomes clear enough in a higher price range than the one we currently have.
For now, the market continues looking bearish and to revert this situation fantastic news are needed. Average news like "bitcoin rised 8%", "investment funds buy 14 million dollars in bitcoin" aren't enough to push btc up. Something bigger is needed...

Again, with a huge jump to $37k, one can really wonder how the price like bitcoin rises like this one in a day or 48 hours after when people starts discrediting it again with FUD and other other.

Perhaps it just shows how bitcoin is really very resistant and resilient with this FUD because it was able to rise again. Hopefully though we will touch on $40k again because it's the biggest barrier for now. Nevertheless, we still have a long way to go before we can reach another all time high this year.
I hope you are right, because here we are one day after my previous post, and bitcoin keeps showing positive fluctuations, already hiting 38,300$ right now. If we continue on this trend, one more day or so and we touch the 40,000$ mark mentioned by you. That would be great for now! Although I'm fearful because recent news say IMF (International Monetary Fund) is forcing El Salvador to give up on bitcoin as legal tender. Theoretically El Salvador is a sovereign state, so no foreigner agents, institutions or funds can impose nothing to them. On the other hand, I have read El Salvador wants a loan of 1,3$ billion dollars from IMF, so there could be a serious bargain going on and the main prejudiced may be bitcoin.
4505  Economy / Service Discussion / Why don't popular micro/freelancers sites adopt bitcoin? on: January 25, 2022, 11:17:25 PM
Bitcoin is almost 14 years old, countries have already regulated it or passed laws considering it legal tender, each new day another ATM is settled somewhere in the world, the most influent men in the world confessed they own bitcoin or have interest for it, big companies have been going through the same path.

However, online platforms which offer opportunities for freelancers, which could be the most benefited ones by adopting bitcoin on the practice seems to just ignore it. Sites like OneForma and ClickWorker don't care about improving their payment methods and actually, they are more than one decade late already. They keep forcing users to use Paypal or Payeer, which are terrible depending where you live, as these international payment services are forced to follow local regulations from countries where taxes are heavily imposed over their citizens, especially those who venture working online.

Unfortunatelly there isn't any bitcoin micro tasks site around with the same weight those mentioned sites have on the virtual environment...

In your opinion, why do these popular platforms act like this and completely ignore bitcoin? And why doesn't a platform of the same kind, but using bitcoin, is able to develop itself to compete against the big ones?

4507  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Banks, Exchanges and your Privacy on: January 25, 2022, 06:37:34 PM
at the end of the day, it depends on the priority of the trader what to use in terms of trading platforms.
I agree with you, because centralized exchanges offer extra features that may be interesting for traders and investors, such as staking and investment programs for altcoins and bitcoin, plus debit/credit cards, completely replacing the function of banks in someone's life. The fact they exist as a regulated business also means an extra security layer for customers, as this business can't just scam everyone without consequences for the managers behind the company. Both kinds of exchanges, centralized and decentralized ones, have positive and negative aspects which should be taken in consideration in a case by case basis. Something good for me, might not be good for you, so individual discernment is a must.
4508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally got paid for some work in bitcoin on: January 25, 2022, 05:46:49 PM
Amazing! Bitcoin is the best mean of payment for virtual jobs and tasks. This way you can work for people from any country in the world and still get paid instantly, without using middlemen services which charge abusive taxes and fees such as traditional banks and even sites like Paypal. When you start dealing with bitcoin you don't want to stop doing this anymore. You just keep trying to find more and more opportunities to continue earning and saving. Working in informaticss field and having a lot of customers, I guess you can accumulate an entire bitcoin relatively fast. If you are confident about your skills and professionalism, I think it's an interesting goal to have in mind.
4509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: January 24, 2022, 06:54:20 PM
Great idea. Just in this case, the second round of qualification (global) will be a kind of world championship for weak teams. And I would love to see how, for example, "average" teams in Africa play against similar teams from America, Europe and Oceania. It would be super interesting. I think everyone is tired of watching the teams constantly boil in the same cauldron of confederation tournaments.
Surely it's very good and acceptable idea, but it's not easy for anyone to do this all because this need very long process and some good hassle for FIFA and other Federations as well with we already have very packed leagues seasons and very small window for International matches it's not easy to do this all specially when we are going to have covid19 issue around us, and it's not going to leave us normal in long term basis. Still, very good as we will have some tough competitions and many new teams will also have some chance to quality for next round with have equal basis chance against good teams.

To be honest, I do not understand such reasons "it's difficult." It turns out that FIFA wants to hold the World Cup every two years and it's not difficult (although this is complete nonsense), but is it difficult to make logical transformations? I think it's a matter of desire. From a business point of view, such changes will be beneficial to everyone and will greatly increase the interest of viewers in the qualifying matches.
It's really easy to implement, but FIFA isn't going to do this, because it's a polemical transformation which will potentially generate a lot of attacks from the global media and representatives of weaker soccer confederations against FIFA for racism, xenophobia and so on... In the end it becomes a difficult decision to be made in order to apply changes to the cup's rules.

Of course the person in front of it will be under several risk of having his reputation completely ruined.
4510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 24, 2022, 05:24:23 PM
Not sure will bitcoin reach above higher price because 8 days later have Chinse new year and actually almost each Chinese new year bitcoin crash, we know how many investor from China and they try to sell assets to celebrate their new year. I think after one week or middle week on February will have light for Bitcoin and altcoin price pump, not really hope trough two week later will bitcoin raise higher price because Chinese new year never give chance for bitcoin and altcoin back to higher price, stuck above $36,000 is higher price for bitcoin and hope not drop under $30,000.

Do you think Chinese New Year will really influence on Bitcoin price? Why would China influence on Bitcoin, since they have banned it? If the price starts to drop, that it is obvious speculation and holders should not worry about it much. Everything about China and cryptocurrency I dont take serious anymore. Check out Bitcoin prices last year during Chinese New Year. It rose from $33k to $48k. So it last year Chinese New Year helped Bitcoin.
Last year was an exception if compared to the three previous years. Anyway, it's just a theory and there isn't a way to make sure if chinese new year heavily impacts bitcoin price or if it's just speculation from whales in general, as you said. The fact right now is that with or without chinese new year there is a clear pessimistic tendency in crypto market and the main responsible for that is USA and not China.
China sacrificed its influence on crypto universe on the moment they completely banned it and hunted crypto businesses down on their territory. Glad these companies fastly migrated to another countries and settled their operations again without much prejudice to the market.
4511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can I control my gambling addiction ?? on: January 24, 2022, 04:51:34 PM
But nobody here can overcome your addiction for you. It's not easy, however, no one besides you can face and deal with it. If the desire and will for girls, travelling and many other activities you want to do are really alive inside you like a burning flame, you have strength enough to stop gambling, since you start focusing on what matters. On the other hand, if the desire for gambling is the only burning flame on your inner being, while all the other goals and dreams are secondary I guess gambling is always going to be the priority in your life...

With the current dump how many of you guys are rethinking about their bets on bitcoin price this month ?
$30k - $35k seems like a good option now since it is currently holding a 9x return.
We still have around 30 hours left for the bet. May be placing the bets for $30k - $40k ranges would be a good strategy.

Just checked the odds and they are still pretty good to place a in that range. For the range $30,001 - $35,000 the odd is 7.5 and for the range $35,001 to $40,000 the odd is 3.26. The price indeed seems very volatile but for this odds it it worth to place a (small) bet on this.

Seems like the price is becoming stable at $35k and the odds for $30k - $35k have decreased to 6.5 which is still good though.
But since the market is volatile right now we don't know if bitcoin will stay in this range.
If the price pumps upwards then it might cross $40k again.
At this time bitcoin is really unstable. I'm not sure about anything anymore... It can stay around 35,000$, it can show some strength pumping back to 40,000$ and it can even drop further to 29,000$ if the currently tendency isn't reverted soon. These are the three possible scenarios I have in mind by the end of this month, which is still taking another long week to finally end.

January has been a tough month for bitcoin. I just hope it's not a bad omen of how the entire 2022 is going to be!
4513  Economy / Economics / Re: Efforts made by the US actually provide a new problem for inflation. on: January 23, 2022, 10:59:43 PM
Governments run stealthy ponzi schemes through their fiat systems. Investors know about this fact, but they "partner" with these governments anyway, just like early investors invest in ponzi schemes hoping to profit before the whole ecosystem falls apart. It's just a matter of time until it happens, as governments never adopt responsible economical measures to make the finances sustainable on long run. They aren't going to stop printing money and promoting populist social actions when the elections get nearer.

And actually, it gives me some hope, because I believe once the traditional financial system becomes unsustainable or unprofitable, bitcoin will be the safe harbor for investors in order to protect their funds again, just like happened during the pandemic in 2021.
4514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: January 23, 2022, 10:02:23 PM
I think I would unify the three following points in just a very important and fundamental one, because they evidence the level of professionalism and legitimacy practiced by the casino, what is the most important factor in my opinion:

  • Customer service;
  • Engagement with Bitcointalk community;
  • Responsiveness to complaints.

Since the casino values offering quality support, always being attentive to complaints in every channels they are part, including this forum, all the other features, requests and suggestions made by customers will consequently be taken into consideration. So everything else, like security, fast payments and bonus/giveaways will be also a reality for customers of the respective platform.
4515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I invested $100 for 18 years for my new born nephew on: January 23, 2022, 09:16:21 PM
That was very kind of you to gift your nephew on his birth with 100$ in bitcoins. You look truly concerned and careful with him and his future. Not everyone is lucky to have a generous and regardful uncle like you. You should be proud of yourself!

Only time will tell where bitcoin is going to take us, especially in such a long time period of 15-18 years, what means no one can predict it right now. Meanwhile, you can also try to introduce another family members to crypto universe, so they can start being benefited by investing in bitcoin from now on as well. I believe the more we invest in the present moment, the less we will have to worry in he future about our financial life conditions.
4516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: January 22, 2022, 11:19:44 PM
On short run people really overestimate bitcoin, but on long run they are completely right, as we have seen since bitcoin was firstly launched. Adoption is constantly increasing and reaching to new levels every new year. That is a pretty good sign there is solidity and potential backing btc.

Actually, I must say you shouldn't be worried about people overestimating bitcoin, but with people underestimating it instead. Because this is the kind of negative influence which tries to persuade investors to exchange their bitcoins for random altcoins which they claim to be much superior in profitability, what we know isn't a good idea, since bitcoin drives the market and it is the safest bet to pick among all disponible cryptocurrencies.
4517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are all the bitcoin's Moon boys ? on: January 22, 2022, 10:27:38 PM
Maybe they are unable to face the public because they have given too much unrealistic hopim to the people ?
Well, crypto market is unpredictable, so no one can really foresee accurately what is going to happen next. Youtubers should let it very clear to their audience in every videos they make, so they wouldn't be blamed by the public during times like this. The point is that some of these social influencers are greedy and make claims about the future of cryptocurrencies as they could predict the future in order to pass confidence to the viewers who will start following their steps, signing up through their referral links in different sites and depositing money where they are advised to.

Then when the market crashes, people really get mad on them, as they are seen as crypto fluctuations' specialists (as something like this really existed). To avoid being trashed on the internet, there is no other option besides stepping aside.
4518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Under $39k, what's next? on: January 22, 2022, 08:44:42 PM
Cycle may occur after $35k we will see below it again it's a rapid decline just like last year's pattern we can only see next if the bearish reaction will continue or bounce I'm watching carefully.

Yesterday we wrote $39k a day then $35k of course it will be my assumption the decline continues who knows the bottom $30k / $20k back to the beginning if not stuck in this cycle reaction, but I to buy better wait for the situation I know.
We still have support at $30K and probably won't be breaking it any time soon although today we can see how the market is very bearish. But today's market correction is certainly not the first because after ATH April 2021 we also experienced the same thing where bitcoin lost 50% of its price. Currently based on market cap data our coins have also lost 50% since ATH, so I think there is still a possibility that the market will recover soon and the price will be bullish again.

Anyway I also think that we should consider all the possibilities at this point because people are quite sensitive to FUD, obviously I feel Russia is the reason why bitcoin market is having a correction but that shouldn't be the only reason why the correction is happening. A wave of panic, yes it will worsen the state of the market so $30K is doubtful a strong support.
Bitcoin has definitely entered a bearish market. That is what I conclude by the unstoppable depreciation in price during the last days. For that reason, I think bitcoin isn't going to revert the situation soon and it's possible the price keeps crashing to lower levels yet until something good happens.

Governments are making too many financial promises to investors, so they are migrating their money from bitcoin to traditional fixed income, shares and assets investments again. But once they identify traditional investments aren't profitable as expected, due to hyperinflation, bitcoin will skyrocket again towards a new ATH, although I'm skeptical it's going to happen this year...
4519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: January 22, 2022, 08:05:05 PM
And I also know that the less popular the league is, the more likely it is that various murky schemes (fixed matches) will take place in it, so bookmakers are afraid of this and give betters little choice.
The fact that there are very few legionnaires in Brazilian football (especially from Europe), so the league has few views from the UEFA zone is really logical. Usually, Europeans learn about a Brazilian footballer when he moves to play for one of the European teams.

But I believe that is starting to change. They are increasingly betting on European coaches, and this ends up helping them to grow more and to understand how football is seen in Europe.
In turn, good performances in intercontinental club competitions also help in this regard.
Therefore, perhaps for a few years, Brazilian football has been the most talked about world, especially in Europe.
Brazil has already had its golden days as king of the soccer universe. But between 2005-2006 the scenario completely changed. I don't know if Brazil decreased their performance quality or if it's just that another countries and leagues heavily developed their skills and techniques.

Personally, I think it has something to do with discipline as well, because brazilian soccer athletes usually aren't totally commited with their professional careers. They like partying, eating junk food, drinking, smoking, using drugs... And of course it affects not only their physical, but also their social behavior towards another people and the society. As we can see many of these players faced or are facing serious legal proceedings for different crimes.
4520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thoughts on BeetleJuice Crypto - BeetCoin $BEET on: January 22, 2022, 06:28:59 PM
A popular personality of internet, boxing industry, movies industry and american TV/radio program Howard Stern Show, BeetleJuice has launched at the end of 2021 his own cryptocurrency called BeetCoin ($BEET). If you don't know who he is a fast research on youtube will show dozens of videos of him posted by different channels and fans, which add up to millions of views sometimes.

If you have watched movies like Scary Movie 2 and Bubble Boy you certainly know who he is.

Right now $BEET's project is settled at "Rally" platform, where you can buy the coins, which have maximum supply of 1,000,000. Initially the currency started pricing 0,35$, had its peak at 0,62$ in December 27, and it's currently pricing 0,29$ today.

It's also possible to buy minted metallic BeetCoins, which have its number limited to 500 units.

Moreover, investors earn $RLY rewards, which can be exchanged to dollars, by holding BeetCoins. The more coins they hold, the bigger the share they are going to receive every Saturday.

Would you invest on this memecoin? Do you think it can have its price boosted yet or is it just a joke which can't be taken seriously?
