4501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Combination of gambling and trading on: July 29, 2021, 11:30:31 PM

We will know if that's how he's like but as long as he's looking forward to doing the suggestions that he has seen on this thread, that's for him to decide.
But if he thinks that he has to choose one with what you and the others have suggested then it's also up to him if that's fine for him. And as long as he's happy with his choice and has raised awareness for himself with what he's about do, he should be fine choose both or any of it.

Besides, it's his money to spend and whatever decision he choose to follow, everything depends from how he will execute.

Success or the other way around, the only thing here is to read and learn coming from those experienced people who are sharing their experiences within this topic.

Nothing change the fact that whatever he takes the ride will rely withing his shoulder to succeed.
Yes, it's his money to gamble and to trade so it's really his decision entirely at the end and it should be decided by him with all of the possibilities, pros, and cons as he chooses what he has to do. He can go with the two of these later on and check it out and do some experimentation on which side he's better. Since it's just two choices, he doesn't have to think that much about it and do what he really thinks that he's good with.

Check out Abra's interest rate through stable coins. They got 8% for stable coins as you stake it but IIRC, they were 10% before. I don't know the reason what's with the decrease in interest but that's still higher than your current in Binance.
This is their main website: https://www.abra.com/earn-interest-on-crypto/
Wow this is a pretty good APR already.

Thanks for sharing mate.
You're welcome, mate.

There are many platform which gives us high APY on stablecoin I don't exact remember the name but I think ALPACA actually one of my friend recommend me this platform because some months ago I was finding the same platform.
It was already suggested above and it seems that they have good rates towards other platforms that have the same feature for staking with stable coins. Well, the list is there and suggestions keep coming and it will depend on OP what platform he's going to use.
4503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Attacks To Be Aware In 2021 on: July 29, 2021, 05:35:47 PM
The cryptojacking is common if you're the type of person that likes to download from unofficial websites for the apps that you use and you want to install. It is very important to be aware of this because it is increasing the CPU usage upon installation of that app and that makes the life of your CPU lesser if it's being used in mining by these jackers. It is still happening today and that's why licensed apps are the way to avoid this or if it's free, download from the official websites.
4504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: July 29, 2021, 04:31:19 PM
For the pro matches, there's nothing to worry about the physical collateral for each of their matches. With those physical blows that they receive, they've got their own medical team for each of their matches and until they recover if ever the hit is too much and badly affected the boxer. But what is more concerning are the nonpro matches and boxers, the amateur ones. Those reports about sudden death after or during the match are more with those types of matches.
4505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It feel good to see Bitcoin going well on: July 29, 2021, 09:03:21 AM
Some month ago so many people would think Bitcoin will crash , many felt as if  the price will even fall more than it use to be. People were even scared to trade  because they were not sure of the market, but they never knew when it was low that was even the best time to trade . I'm glad to see where the price of Bitcoin have reached presentky, it will be an advantage and good experience to those who took the risk of going into trading and it will also give some others knowledge that fall of Bitcoin is not permanent , definitely it will come up. With this experience have showed that Bitcoin is here to stay, do not panic, trade and make earning
Many were scared to trade but that didn't stop the market to keep trading. Because if most were scared, there won't be any jump that we see lately. Good thing that some good news came and it had moved the feelings of most investors and made them buy again. While the price of bitcoin was quite low during those times, many have a second thought about its recovery but bitcoin proved them wrong and it had showed a sign of bullish run again.
4506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] Scammer Impersonating Binance on Telegram on: July 28, 2021, 09:58:16 PM
They really are constructing believable promos and giveaways just to make people from their scam. They're improving as if they're looking legitimate with those words but it's no different from the 'send this amount, I'll send back more'.
It's double scam.

Send 1 and get 2 back. It is clearly a scam if we have fresh mind and are not too greed. The minimum amount of each sending in that scam is 1 ETH. Honestly, it is a big fund and if anyone can trust it, do 1 ETH transaction just to get back more, they are very naively.

Yeah, that's usually it is. And if it's not 1 ETH since not everyone owns that big amount, they're giving a minimum to a maximum amount. The minimum could be as low as 0.01 ETH and the maximum is how much as they want. They are on every website that has crypto content and on YouTube.
They're also in the comment sections playing and replying to themselves through different accounts that are making the reader contact a certain person as if they're boosting it with different accounts to make it believable but it's an outright scam.
4507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 28, 2021, 07:07:05 PM
I don't think that it is their responsibilities at all would the fast food chains or food industry be responsible for any harm related to over eating?
It is all under our control so why blame the companies when it was all due to your action(or their action) they didn't force you to do it.
Nice logical thinking. It's the same as the gamblers and the casino relationship. The casinos will remain whether there are addicted gamblers or there's no more. But they are there to stay to give people entertainment and also what they want, money.
The harmful effects of gambling have been known for ages but those people that are experiencing it should be the ones to be stopping so that no harm will be made into their lives by gambling since they're the ones that hold the money and gamble.
4508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to know before trading. on: July 28, 2021, 05:57:01 PM
First things must know before trading.

- Hodling is better than Trading.
- Hodling is easier than Trading.
- Hodling gives you more time to be free from computers.
- Hodling brings better health for you: physically and mentally.
And if someone can't trade, there's always the choice of just holding alone. All of those that have been said is true except the last one. Holding is also affecting mental health if you're too anxious with the price especially if there are corrections and just as the traders, you are also affectionate to the market. So if someone understands trading and is aware that it's not for them, there's always the other way around and that is through holding.
4509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Combination of gambling and trading on: July 28, 2021, 04:52:27 PM
The two can be done if you know how to manage your time. You only need to improve your time management and how you handle activities. It doesn't have to be two at the same time but you rather finish one at a time and then you do what's next.
As you combine two, you can set the time for your daily activity like you put gambling for this day and trading for the next day, that's possible if you don't want to remove any of these activities from your daily living.
Time management is very Paramount if he truely wishes to combine both but I bet he will not manage his emotions and once a gambler tries trading he would want to use the greedy nature he obtained from gambling into trading. I would rather suggest he focuses on one become perfect at it then he can possibly decide if the other is worth investing his time in.

4512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Game with hidden Bitcoin on: July 27, 2021, 07:59:11 PM
IIRC, there's sort of the same type of puzzle that has been made before but if it's made in the form of a game, it's going to make the hunt more exciting. This is like the next-gen of play to earn that we've seen lately with the NFTs but it's entirely different from that because you have to find the exact words and its order for the gamer to win the hidden btc on it.

I haven't read the other threads linked on this thread but maybe there has to be the answer for this question there.

1) Will only the first one will be awarded with the funds associated or there would be group hunt at one time and whoever wins that round will be having seed phrase which can be imported to wallet

I think it will make the game more exciting if they'll keep putting those recovery words with little amount and make the hunting continue to attract more players. And in that cycle, maybe this game will gain attention it's like hunting bitcoin daily for the daily rewards.
4513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 27, 2021, 06:50:26 PM
Lol. Is there any game we have control over? It is called football game and anything can happen with any game. Underdogs are turning tables and causing heartbreaks. To my view, I don't think there games we have control over but we can say greater percentage favourable to a team.
We don't have control over the games that we bet on. Friendly match or not, we do not control them. And for these friendly matches, the only one that has control over them are the higher management which seems going to be possible for them to manipulate the results at their will. In some sporting events, this is really happening and we don't know when that's going to happen but some athletes have voiced out that this is really an insider and happens as it's against their will.

In friendly matches is much harder to predict the outcome of the match compared to the championship or the game for the cup as the coach can create more unpredictable situations and guess the team composition or strategy used in the upcoming game is almost unreal.
I think it varies but we can say that both are unpredictable but with what I've observed for some sports that I've watched with friendly matches, they're likely just having fun.
There's a bit of seriousness into their games but it's still different from the usual counted games and seasons that we watch for the particular sports that we watch.
4514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu vs. Dogecoin. Who is the Lead Dog of the Pack? on: July 27, 2021, 05:12:36 PM
Less risk for Dogecoin? I guess nothing has changed whether you invest in any of them. The risk is still there and you're into meme coins which can be manipulated easily by people like Elon.
Before, it was seem to be a good coin at all when nobody talks about Dogecoin as it's just as steady as it was before. But Elon has found some meme to talk to with this coin.

For people who are hooked with such promos, you should always look at the official website to verify if there's a giveaway in existence so that nobody won't fall for it.
4516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 26, 2021, 09:03:32 PM
Luck is something that do come and go and there are no things on this world which could call out where its impossible.

So lets not put up into our minds that luck is something that can really be affected by something.
We really cannot tell when luck is going to come but if it's there, it will show you that you really are a lucky person. Whether you think that you're lucky based on your emotion, you just can't be sure that you really are lucky because it will depend on the result as you gamble.
There are those that think they're lucky and putting everything that they have but in the end, they're just losing because they've been dependent on their emotion.

~
That game gets really hyped up in my country due to people earning something from it through NFTs. It was the first NFT to be popular here in my country from what I can tell actually.
I believe there is a certain "game item" there where people can earn money just by buying it with real cash.
I haven't tried the game yet because I am not interested to it.

I also don't like gaming, but the thing is that it is the only sphere now, where you can get big profit. So I am participating in marketing campaigns of different games now, to get some of their tokens or NFTs and become a member of their community. Now I am really interested in a game called DeRace. It is about horses. You just buy or get horses, then breed them and participate in races with them.
You don't like games then you're jumping into advertising games on NFT. I've never heard of that project and horse racing but I know in the gambling scene, there is horse racing in some casinos that I've seen but they're not too consistent at all and the demand isn't that much.
But anyway, still good luck to you and to the project that you've chosen to support because NFT games are really making noise in these times and it could be the next big project, we'll never know if it will.
4519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The houses always win, are you the house or the gambler? on: July 26, 2021, 09:18:08 AM
In gambling, taking high risk is normal for us gamblers. We tend to go against the house and are aware that they always win in the end. But it doesn't mean that we cannot win against them. We can but the chance will always be little than their chance of winning against us.

No gambler can claim that he can beat the house because by default the house has the edge this is the one that makes them sustain their operation
Only a gambler that doesn't understand the power of the house will proclaim that he can beat the house. Or if there's a salesman that says that someone can beat the house through his product which is the method that's for sale, it's just all about sales not strategy because it's hard to beat the house.
4520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does Bitcoin scale under such high transaction fees? on: July 26, 2021, 07:22:17 AM
Bitcoin is accepted and used by more countries and people's consensus on it has been strengthened. Bitcoin will eventually be used in more places.
But you need to pay the high transaction fees when buying small items with Bitcoin. For example, no one wants to pay $10 in fees when buying a $2 bread. So how will they deal with future expenses?
I guess you haven't made any transactions lately. It's been a long time since I've seen you have to pay a fee of $10 just to send $5 or a little more than that. Take an action right now and do some transactions, you can pay as much as 1-10 sat/b and it won't take long to be confirmed unlike before. There's a bigger difference from today than it was before when fees were really expensive. And it's likely that this is going to stay for long as if you don't like that, as they've said, there's the lightning network that's designed for small transactions.
