4501  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please check this project. (Swaphub) on: September 24, 2020, 06:46:19 AM
Very likely another of the "yield farming" DeFi tokens. Now this does not mean that the project is a scam. But this trend is currently hyped and many anonymous users are creating them and getting social media channels to get people to buy their tokens and take part in this "passive income" system.

The point is that the passive income has always been a gimmick since the ICO days when shitcoin used to be made promising 1% per day worth of income but that coin ended up being dumped heavily and then abandoned.

What I mean to say is that they may not directly scam you, but snowball the project long enough for them to make money and you to suffer holding their token.

If you took part in their bounty, I would suggest you to stop doing so. Move on from bounty hunting and take part in this forum's discussions, earn some merits on the way and join a decent paying signature campaign if you wish to.
4502  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Xfinance (DeFi) - Heavily Plagiarized Website on: September 24, 2020, 06:39:03 AM
Right now I am not tagging them nor supporting the flag.
Which flag?

The point is that these names of the domains are pretty similar and we are lacking information to confirm but suggest the fact that there are very well run by the same scammers.

While we are finding SiteNo1>copied to SiteNo2>copied to SiteNo3 - What we did is flagNTag SiteNo2 for copying from SiteNo1. But SiteNo1 is already a scam so that does not make it legitimate at all.

In other words, these sites are all scams. No idea where they got the original template from, but basing on the fact that neither ICOs nor DeFi tokens are legal securities, we can flagNtag all of them.
4503  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Visa Cards Are Now Available in Europe on: September 24, 2020, 06:32:43 AM
Even though we seem to agree on the fact that these cards are only made to pump the price of BNB which has been sepculated to be a pump and dump a long time ago when it reached the two digit price range and continued upward, still people will use it and attempt to gather the rewards and use them. Just like people use a bank credit/debit card in any other country.

Bigger holders of BNB get bigger rewards. So the point is simple, just buy more and keep getting more, overconsumption to allow the owners to make more money. Cheesy
4504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some thoughts on cryptocurrency loans on: September 24, 2020, 06:25:46 AM
You seem to be quite close with Changelly btw.
OP seems to be an offtopic spammer for a long time and recently moved in the ontopic discussions. It could be a shill account which is 99% of the cases here and posting a thread only to never look back at it.

DeFi may have initiated a new hype but the concept of crypto lending is not new. In fact the first few waves of ICOs did have a bunch of Ethereum tokens that were associated with altcoin-pledging and using it as collateral for a bitcoin loan. Much like the services provided by the Sharks in the "Lending" section of this forum.

However tokens like SALT came to a stalemate(?), Nexo worked out it seems and partnered with many other sites like CMC and etherscan.

There is an analogy with fiat loans where you pledge a valuable to get a fiat loan. I dont see much difference apart from the subtle technicalities.
4505  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 23, 2020, 05:45:33 AM
Why'd you removed browser mining?.
The presence of browser mining flags the site by many AV software and AdBlockers potentially reducing the traffic to the site drastically.

Thus it was removed after a short trial run a long time ago. Was it recently started again? I have not been keeping track but I would prefer it to remain turned off.

Quote
I mostly earn bitcoin with mining and you just remove it.
Do you own your own mining setup? The amount earned from browser mining is neligible though. If you want your device to run with ease and keep electricity bills within limits I would not recommend it. Meaning that the money you would be spending on allowing browser mining would be more than what you earn from it.

I request you bring back the mining feature so we can earn more. I use my mind coin in gambling, I am so disappointed after getting know it's removed
We are curious to know which altcoin is that? Roll Eyes
4506  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Initiative Q Another free money trap on: September 23, 2020, 05:37:50 AM
These HYIP/MLM schemes no longer come to this forum to generate buzz because they are getting tagged and now flagged well. No wonder they hired some shill accounts to post those old topics posted by the OP. I saw that the accounts have been inactive, one of them being back in July 2020.

As far as I can say, they wont be coming back with another account here so no use flagging or tagging those older accounts. They may very well be sold off site and nothing we can do about that.

You will help reduce the enormous waste and pollution caused by Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, currently consuming as much energy as 6,000,000 households!
I really hate how these scumbags connect climate change with bitcoin mining and all even after it has been debunked on several occasions.
4507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Does uniswap really believe ? on: September 23, 2020, 05:30:17 AM
Thanks for your opinion. I’ve used Uniswap a lot of times and it was good experience. A lot of top tokens and coins from DeFi are listed on common exchanges so now I’m use Uniswap more rarely. Just for new tokens) sorry not I don’t heard about Sushiswap. Is Sushi token related to it?
I am not sure about it though. Maybe you can do some searching from your side to check the same. It is better to always check these things before spending any money buying it because this is crypto and anything can be a shady deal.

Sushiswap is another site like Uniswap. You have to use it to get a feel of difference if any. I have only heard of the names and seen the site once, never used them because I dont need to.

I am not really a fan of DeFi, I think it is the next bubble happening now but that bother me since DeFi has been here since years but it is hyped currently. Still that is my personal opinion.

Here is a list of Swap sites by zasad@ - Swaps list
4508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges have cheap coin listing fees. on: September 23, 2020, 05:25:37 AM
Do you have any idea what Binance charges?
Not the exact numbers but its "a lot". Enough to get the attention of some news media sites to make articles on them and their CEO say that the money is going to charity.

Its not a blanket statement to make when big money launderers are caught red-handed and they claim the money to go to charity. We all know much truth is there to that. Moreover even if some of it went to charity the statement is true while the bigger booty ends up in their pockets. So they would not be lying.

However the OP does not seem to be interested in discussing the same, I believe they already got scammed by a newbie claiming to have inside contact with exchanges. Roll Eyes
4509  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How accurate is the fee estimation in Electrum? on: September 22, 2020, 09:50:40 AM
Recently I had used Electrum to send a 10$ transaction and cheaped out on the fee and had to wait for more than 24hours. I believe the fee estimation system in Electrum is not that good comparing with the mempool congestion.

The better alternative would be to use the online fee checking sites to decide what might be an optimum fee for the optimum speed of transaction and confirmation (subjectively). You dont want to make your friend on the other side wait for a day while you also dont want to waste too much fee on something that can receive the coins anytime you send them.

Another thing is that the concept of "accelerator" is something that I dont trust completely. Previously we had some illegitimate services in this forum who got busted for running such a scheme. They used to ask for tip and negative trust those who did not send them a fee. They did not even do anything in reality just used the ViaBTC accelerator (now defunct). I would like to see a legitimate accelerator service, if in reality something like that was even possible. Cheesy
4510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency btc futures leverage trading is scam on: September 22, 2020, 09:44:34 AM
The OP seems to have some problem understanding basic risk management and other things related to sane thinking. Considering the -4 trust rating and the currently active flag I can very well understand why the OP is making a thread like this and reviving his own propaganda.

Any type of risk vs reward system has a risk and in leverage the risk is that the market might move in the opposite side and you might lost money to prevent liquidation of your positions. In Spot trading a similar thing happens. In gambling the House edge is there.

In short, you cannot survive without risk. The only day job you might be doing also carries some risk. Now if you feel that you are being scammed because you lost your money fair and square then your way of thinking is twisted and malicious. Blame yourself instead of the place you lost money.
4511  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Yearnify copied website content! on: September 22, 2020, 09:35:06 AM
These scammers seem to have developed and unending hard-on for this "yearn" I guess that is related to some successful DeFi project in the recent past and that is why they are trying to bask in its name and using that as the bait to get some one to send them coins.

This trend will not diminish but increase as more and more popularity is gained by DeFi and although many of us are trying to warn others about such scams very few will be saved but even then that is enough.

Flag supported and account tagged.
4512  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] DRK Defi- Plagiarized Whitepaper on: September 21, 2020, 09:17:51 AM
Very good @nutildah and @Shef198911,

The next step would be to open a Type 1 Flag against the representative account. Suggest the OP to do the same and follow this in any future reports.

There is no doubt that this project is a scam and will continue to fool some innocent people into losing their money. The flag will give a banner shaped warning to both logged in and logged out users.

Additionally I will put some red paint on the account. I hope other DT members will support and tag the account too.
4513  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] DRK Defi- Plagiarized Whitepaper on: September 21, 2020, 05:09:25 AM
Now the next thing to do is to check the rest of the whitepaper. Just the blockchain part can be copied and this does not immediately mean the rest of the paper is copied. Since the description of blockchain is present and copied from other places does not mean the project to be directly a scam, though I am not shoving off that possibility.

Another way to explain what I say is that someone can copy the Bitcoin whitepaper pages and post a few pages on their whitepaper as "What is Bitcoin" - as an introductory page to their whitepaper. Now Bitcoin is open-source and allowed to be copied. Other project whitepapers are not.

In other words, the rest of the whitepaper needs to be checked and accordingly declared scam or not.
4514  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: September 21, 2020, 05:03:45 AM
You got my body all laughing. I think birth giving should be what covid-19 effect should be having than having issues in marriage and divorce is the height of it. Ring buying should really be for new weds lik
Lets be honest here, when a newly wed buys a ring its more the aesthetic purpose and just a symbol of their marriage. Now it might a carry lot of emotional sentiment so its not bad thing to do. But if you are one who understand the economy like most people who have been through the 20years of married life, you know that the re-sell value of that stone is useless, in case of dire needs.

Gold on the other hand would still have a re-sell value, precious gems are not that that in terms of re-sell, not just diamond but any of them. If someone would ask for opinion regarding the same, I would tell them buy a stone-less jewellery probably made of gold.

But honestly the baby shower is coming soon and I hope you all are ready to be woken up in the morning by the newborns cries in the neighborhood. Grin
4515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Does uniswap really believe ? on: September 21, 2020, 04:58:22 AM
Is there are anything better than uniswap? Let’s share with me please. I’m 3-4 month in defi and I’m not following trands. Uniswap is one that I know and trust
There are a bunch of other sites for swaps but Uniswap is probably the one which is getting the most attention. There is also Sushiswap. I dont understand their obsession with rainbows or unicorns because I am old school user and prefer a clean and easy interface and less such gawdy stuff. Still you can trust any of them that you wish to you and allow it to exchange your etherum tokens. Probably more features will be added in soon like which I want is direct conversion to BTC.

Just be careful that you are visiting the official site when linking your wallet and not a phishing site. Bookmark it to be safe. Dont use links to visit it.
4516  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Rfinance - Plagiarized Whitepaper on: September 20, 2020, 06:16:34 AM
Flag supported. I hope more DT members also come in to support the flag and keep it active.

With some many scammers running these scams by just cloning everything, I dont think it will be long before people tend to think of DeFi to be a complete scam. It will be a biased opinion just like what altcoin projects have ended up being. As long as people know when the suspect a scam they should be safe.

Bottom line: Suspect everything in the cryptocurrency space other than Bitcoin to be a scam. Grin
4517  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 20, 2020, 04:47:56 AM
There wasnt many that actually win big when they gamble. Even if they win a huge amount, they probably lose ton they day before. Thats expected to happen because gambling is EV-. Even all those gambling streamer actually admitted that their source of revenue wasnt comes from gambling but from all those streams, merchandise and sponsors. At best, getting break even would be nice for them
Streamers have many other sources of income instead of the money they make on casinos. They are not gods who can change the way the casino works to make the casino lose money for them even if some brainwashed supporters of those streams think so.

They lose money just like any other gambler. But they make a lot by showing off the game and their money on the game and attempt to draw a affiliate crowd there. That is the point of all the marketing there. And also the merch like you said.

Nobody should get the false idea that casino game streamers make a lot of money on the game, its the opposite. I have no idea why this common sense is lacking in some people.
4518  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: September 20, 2020, 04:41:39 AM
What's that? An exchange for all those who died because of pandemic...Well we can say that covid 19 is not just a curse but also a blessing. Curse because it makes peoples live worst and many people died but Blessing for those who will be having a new born baby specially those already count many years but only this time of pandemic they receive such wonderful blessing. It also means that the population of every country will increase again and the economic status of every family is need to lift.
We should not say that the new life is a replacement for the life lost, but yes this is a symbol of what the resilience of humans beings mean as a species. Everything that may attempt to reduce the population will be countered by a method to normalize the population again and humans prevail.

So lets not forget the lives lost and respect them by keeping hope and giving birth to more Grin

I was going to add this myself, we are probably going to see a spike in the upcoming months when it comes to babies being born
The OBGY and Paeds departments are going to have a massive added load apart from the general load that they face in normal conditions. Lets just hope that the newborn and their mothers get the proper care they deserve.

After all many people have lost job and are cutting it close to being bankrupt, for them it is a time of despair. So this case does not apply to everyone. Sad
4519  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] New DeFi scam by known scammers MBI Group International on: September 19, 2020, 07:27:23 AM
OP, open up a Type 1 Flag, I would gladly support it and leave some red paint on their account to make sure they dont come back with another scam like this. I am sure every other DT member visiting the thread will also do the same.

This is the only mark of shame available and so lets use it to the fullest as long as they try to use our forum to scam others. I wonder how they sleep in peace at night. Embarrassed
4520  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: September 19, 2020, 07:23:56 AM
I am more of the opinion that precious gem re-sell value is worse than anything including diamonds. So I dont like buying it for future selling but rather only as a gift even then a very small one if I do. Now I understand the sentiment behind the "matrimony" and all, but honestly I would rather gift Gold over Gems.

In this context, let me remind you all that few more sectors have had massive sales which include the birth control methods - people are at home having nothing to do, sets eyes on their wife and boom Grin

You cant deny the fact that a lot of baby showers are happening in the next few months in several countries of the world. Added to it the low-cost wedding ceremonies due to the pandemic are an impetus to the lower economic strata to get married.  Wink
