4502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faucet on: May 12, 2012, 09:35:33 PM
There are quite a few ad supported faucets out there now. have you tried this one? http://mycryptcoin.com/

"No gimmick, no bull"...now please engage in this gimmicky bull.

Thats right... "No gimmick, no bull". See List of transactions here http://mycryptcoin.com/transactions.aspx

That page is empty.  I just tried it, wait the 15 seconds, and got nothing.  Total BS.
THE REAL BITCOIN FACET SHOWS THEIR BALANCE, and has a working list of transactions.
Are you hoping that someone will just give you free BTC or something to "help" a site that doesn't work or what?

WTF you talking about?

Also, didn't you read after submiting your address and solving the captcha that you my need to wait up to 1 hour until they send the transaction?

If you read above it says they destroy the coins to /dev/null or something.

Sure they do, sure they do...

4506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BLOCKCHAIN.INFO SCAMMED ME? on: May 12, 2012, 08:16:09 PM
can you go back to the site and verify the url displayed in your browser?
(if you still see the zaypay number, please post a screenshot)

Yes the option is there. just check the Wallet demo page and you'll see it.
https://blockchain.info/wallet/demo-account

Sorry about saying you were spreading FUD, OP. Wink
4507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BLOCKCHAIN.INFO SCAMMED ME? on: May 12, 2012, 07:45:08 PM
I didn't knew blockchain.info sold coins.  Where on their site did you buy these coins?

Good question.
Also interested in the answer.
4508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you take medicine, I need your help. on: May 12, 2012, 07:41:36 PM
If they just generated hundreds of bitcoin addresses and dispensed one with each order, then they could just look for the incoming payment on blockchain.info and know when the payment came, without actually having to put any bitcoin wallet or bitcoin software on their web server.

That was one of the suggestions I gave them. And they could even ask their usual php dev to do it.

How you reached the conclusion that address is a vanity address? Seems pretty random to me with the exception of the EML part
Not sure if serious...

So, you think that's a vanity address also? Explain why, please...

Also, is the following address also a vanity address? 1AKNNX3uptocrisMbW7amrLYAbF3TggYdN
Or this one with no numbers whatsoever besides the intial 1: 1AhAzstfNZGwmNKVNbHJoKPWJYEUgodoBk

Whoever created this vanity address 1EMLwAwseowTkDtKnEHRKrwQvzi4HShxSX is the cracker. Notice that there is only one number in it--a 4. That took a while.

I will buy!

My body has a clobetasol habit or else I get rashes.  But I hate scheduling the dermatologist a month out and spending half a day to get a refill on the same thing I already know I need.  I also don't like giving out my credit card info to overseas pharmacy websites, or any websites really.  Online pharmacies probably can't reliably take PayPal for much of the same reasons we hate PayPal.  Buying with Bitcoins would be so much easier.

Your problem is solved, Mike Wink
Now maybe welcome them on the thread linked above, or help them getting bitcoin payments integrated into their site Smiley
I helped them as much as I can now. No, I wasn't of much help Sad

The only ones that do that are AurumXchange.

4513  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Mining Company on: May 12, 2012, 06:42:46 PM
I just added a simple browsing feature. It's not linked directly, yet, but you can give it a try typing the URL directly:

http://www.pyramining.com/account/browse?id=INSERT_YOUR_ACCOUNT_LABEL_HERE

It would be useful to know in how much time rewards get accumulated, but due to the architecture is not actually possible:
I have the date of when the account is created, but the deposit can be sent much more later (even months). And it can be a small amount, get completed, stay there idle for a lot of time, until the owner decides to send more funds again. Calculating the rewarding rate would require a lot of code/weight/complexity to the whole application.

Awesome stuff!

Also, the beauty of Bitcoin is that they don't need 3rd parties.
They can just generate a thousand addresses, save them in a database, and have their usual developer make it in a way that it shows a unique address to each order. Probably checking the payment completion is something they can do by themselves, without the need for automation.

Or they can just use walletbit.com and their handy API. https://walletbit.com/docs/api
Any PHP developer will easily integrate that, even payment received confirmation.

Ofcourse using their own Bitcoin client is preferred as they will not have to pay fees.

Being bit-pay.com a US based company I'm not so sure they will be the right ones to process payments to a pharma site.

One important question I don't think has been addressed here yet:

What about verification documents that were emailed to Bitcoinica? Were those compromised?

He said they weren't. That they were stored encrypted at some other server. Now I'm not sure if that was on this thread or on the statement they had at blogspot which is no longer there and nobody knows if was real or fake.

EDIT: Just checked and it was not in this thread.

I remember reading that as well.  I thought it was in this thread.  Perhaps the post has been edited/deleted.

I checked Z's latest posts, until I reached the OP in this thread and there was no such thing mentioned. Nor edited posts, and I really doubt he would delete posts.
It was on the bitcoinica.blogspot.com statement for sure. Now it's not there and redirects to bitcoinica.com, so maybe it was a fake.
