4501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties? on: March 26, 2020, 04:16:08 PM
Due to many scam and failed projects, teams and untrusted bounty managers, yes many of hunters are  now getting annoyed with it.Just be carefull on choosing the right bounty.

When on average only 1 or 2 out of the campaigns are paying out of 10, who will be foolish enough to join these bounties? Despite all this, the campaign managers are not ready to listen to the bounty hunters. They never keep the funds in escrow, and they don't listen to us when we request that at least a small part of the bounty (~10%) should be paid in either Bitcoin or Ethereum.
4502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk has been blocked in Russia because of Gambling advertisement on: March 26, 2020, 04:09:49 PM
I have visited Russia and in every major city, in every nook and corner you can find illegal casinos. The ban on legal gambling is just one of the tools for the government to get bribes. Most of the illegal casino operators are foreigners (mostly Turks and Azeris) and they pay a certain amount of bribes to the authorities every month, so that they can operate without any harassment from the cops.
4503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 26, 2020, 04:02:53 PM
I think the answer is very clear that the investor is more important, regardless of the bounty hunter dumping tokens, the investors are the ones who bring the money directly to the projects and indirectly to the bounty hunter. .

None of these two groups are more important than the other. A successful project needs both the investors and the bounty hunters. Investors are needed for the initial funding and the bounty hunters are needed for the publicity and advertisement. A lot of people have a habit of downplaying the time and effort put in by the bounty hunters. That is not right, and without the bounty hunters none of the projects would be successful.
4504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance charity launches with $1million donation. on: March 26, 2020, 03:55:07 PM
Binance charges anywhere from $1 million to $5 million for a single IEO listing. I am not saying that this is a small amount, as any amount would come handy in the fight against COVID 19. But given that the disease originated in China and many of the Binance promoters are Chinese citizens, they should have made this step at least a couple of weeks ago. I hope that the other exchanges will also follow this example.
4505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 26, 2020, 03:43:19 PM
PSL hasn't matured yet and the revenues are nowhere near that of the IPL. No other franchise T20 league in the world have such gigantic salaries, as the IPL has. I don't know much about the state of economy in Pakistan. But in Bangladesh, they are struggling with their BPL (due to low revenues and lack of interest from big names in international cricket). The BCB is not profiting much from the BPL. If the same happens with PSL, then it won't be good news for the PCB.
I think the closest will be BBL although I have no data to back it up.

Yup. If you look at the TV broadcast rights, then the revenues for BBL is more than any other league (apart form the IPL). But at the same time, the player salaries for the BBL are lower when compared to leagues such as the Natwest T20 Blast and the Caribbean Premier League. The Australian population is not as large as what they have in England or some of the South Asian countries.
4506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 26, 2020, 03:36:00 PM
Best ever Reverse Swinger was Sarfraz Nawaz he give good tips to Imran Khan and Mudassar Nazar then its shifter to others like Wasim Akram Waqar Younas and Aaqib Jawad now its all around the world its really change concept of fast bowling and bring some good charm for them but now Pakistan is going much behind as they are not bringing good bowlers.

Yes.. I researched a bit and found that it was Sarfraz Nawaz who invented reverse swing. According to some sources, he invented it along with another Pakistani fast bowler (Sikander Bakht). However, according to Shaharyar Khan, this technique was first invented by Salim Mir (who played for the Punjab Cricket Club in Lahore along with Sarfraz Nawaz). Anyway, it was Nawaz who first introduced it to international cricket (during the late 70s).
4507  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Increased Bitcoin Adoption on: March 26, 2020, 03:15:29 PM
I am yet to notice any statistic, which would point to a significantly higher adoption of Bitcoin during the past 2-3 months. During this time, the trade volumes have actually fallen, along with the exchange rates. I would assume that large a number of people have lost their jobs, due to the ongoing economic recession and as a result many of them are selling their coins. And this situation may get worse in the coming weeks and months.
4508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 26, 2020, 02:59:21 PM
Just like Pakistani not allowed to play in IPL, Indian players are also not allowed to play in PSL. Both nation bilateral political issues are increasing every day and we may not expect anything to get normal anytime soon.

4509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty alone is not enough on: March 26, 2020, 02:53:22 PM
True, successful projects are projects with broad marketing strategies, which means they are supported by thousands of people who are promoting. Of course, big projects are still promoting through the bounty program because bitcointalk forums are easy enough to attract investors in all corners of the world.
Bounty campaign's attracts thousands of people especially in their social media, medium and content creation campaign. It's allowing them to give their reviews about the projects. Bounty will always will be a part of processing how big project will run.  Its process of gathering their supporters like in telegram which is a big help for them to spread the news more accurately.

Most of the projects dedicate only a very small portion of the total pool for the bounty (usually anywhere from 0.5% to 2%). This is very inadequate, as the bounty campaigns play a very large part in deciding the final outcome of the project. IMO, at least 10% of the total pool should be dedicated for all the promotional activities, including the bounty campaign. The promoters should not become too greedy.
4510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL Mutual Pool Discussion. on: March 26, 2020, 02:47:59 PM
Any confirm news of IPL being cancelled this year or will they move it to 3rd or 4th quarter this year ?
There is no sign of coronavirus conditions getting better world wide and hence i have no clue when they will be planning to conduct this tournament.

LOL... Is it possible to have the IPL in Q4 2020, and then another edition just 3-4 months later? Do you expect the other cricket boards to agree to this? Also, there will be some viewer fatigue. If they move ahead with their plans for an IPL edition later this year, then the viewership figures for the next year's tournament is going to be really low. I know it is going to be very hard for the BCCI to part with all that money. But still I would tell them that cancellation is the best option they got right now.
4511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 25, 2020, 04:39:55 PM
That was the time when Pakistan had really very good fast bowlers and who were one of the best in the world. As the years pass by once all this legendry retired then we dint had many who were there for a long time. Many came and gone for short duration but not like who had served the country for 10 years or so. Shoaib was one of them who was very quick and did well for his country.

Reverse swing was first invented by Pakistani pace bowlers during the 1990s (especially Wasim Akram, Aaquib Javed, Waqar Younis and Mudassar Nazar). It took more than a decade for the other players to learn this trick. And this gave them a huge advantage during that time, as the other bowlers (who depended more on seam, rather than swing) struggled on flat sub-continental tracks.
4512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 25, 2020, 04:27:19 PM
Tbh, this PSL and the two series prior with BAN and SL went on smoothly, so I believe they did a good job at bringing the game back to the country. But money is also a necessary evil.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be in a good financial situation only of the BCCI agrees to a bilateral tour. That tour is going to be huge and both the boards may get richer by a few hundred million USD. But the problem here is that BCCI doesn't have any interest in doing this, as they are already in a comfortable financial position. Another issue is that the Pakistani players are not permitted in IPL, which is the richest T20 league in the world.
4513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers don't trap victims with too good offers anymore on: March 25, 2020, 04:20:56 PM
It seems many scammers are now aware that people run away from too good to be real investment plans nowadays, now they are ready to give fair percentages too just like legit projects

It came to my attention today that many Nigerians fall victim to a crypto fund company in Nigeria where thy are promised 2% daily and 14% weekly, according to my source she never knew the offer was scam because the offer was fair enough, she made a big mistake to have invest a whooping thousand and half dollar in the project, to me this sounds like another MMM stuff but the returns are really fair, well there you have it, this is enough to confuse those who thinks fair returns means project is legit, you are damn wrong

These schemes will continue to get created, as long as humanity exists on this planet. We need to admit that the vast majority of the world's population are having an IQ level of less than 100. And another thing that we should remember here is that greed is a basic trait of human nature. And this is a very deadly combination - low intelligence, with greed. And when we have the combination, we get ponzis such as this one.
4514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 25, 2020, 04:13:52 PM
The biggest disease in human being is stupidity. Because of stupidity and idiotic approach most developed countries are suffering. Never thought Europe will become the epic center of this deadly virus.

Now, hearing USA on the verge of being the next epic center of this virus. These are those countries that have the best medical facilities.

Unfortunately, there is no medicine available to treat stupidity. According to Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, COVID 19 is nothing more than a little flu, and no one is going to die if he gets infected from this virus. He also thinks that lockdown is a stupid idea. Another idiot who comes to my mind right now is Andres Manuél Lopez Obrador, the president of Mexico. He wants families to go out and "enjoy" themselves.

4515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 25, 2020, 04:06:17 PM
Might as well close this thread now.

Practically every major country, including the US, UK, India and most asian countries now enforce a mandatory lockdown and will disperse crowds.

As far as I'm aware, most major countries have also closed non-essential businesses where people can end up congregating—this includes casinos.

Hopefully this is the final straw in the death of brick and mortar casinos.

Not every country has enforced a lockdown. I heard that in the state of New York (where 30,000+ are confirmed to be infected by COVID 19) parks are still open and the public transport is operating. Even in London, the metro system is operating without any restrictions. Only a few countries such as India, New Zealand, Italy and Japan have enforced complete lockdown.

4516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: March 25, 2020, 03:59:51 PM
Is high rewards like 350,000$ for bounty hunters still possible this days? I know it's all down to the success of the project but is this still achievable? How many successful projects with such reward paid hunters since 2018 that you know?

Back in Q1 2018, one of my friends got $3,000 worth of tokens for a signature bounty, that went on for 2 months. Personally for me, the best campaign I participated in gave me $200 worth of rewards. But a bounty reward of $350,000 per person? That is just plain unbelievable. I have never heard of such huge rewards. Can you give me a few details about these campaigns? I would like to check their spreadsheets.
4517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency during this pandemic on: March 25, 2020, 03:53:13 PM
I have noticed one thing during this pandemic. The stock markets around the world have plummeted by around 40%. Similarly, cryptocurrencies have also lost anywhere from 40% to 60% of their value. That means that there is a strong correlation between stock markets and cryptocurrency market. On the other hand, the bullion prices have gone up significantly during the same time. And this proves that cryptocurrencies are more related to equities, than they are to bullion.
4518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 25, 2020, 03:47:14 PM
It has been lockdown everywhere and not only in Asian countries, although I do believe that its much harder for the under developed country public to deal with the lockdown situation as compared to the developed world.
Never thought that there could be  time when there would be no cricket anywhere in the universe.

There is no other choice. Countries that ignored the lockdown protocols earlier are paying a heavy price for it. Italy has seen almost 7,000 deaths till now. Spain is catching up, with close to 4,000 deaths. A lot of people in countries with first or second phase of infection have a wrong assumption that the COVID 19 is a relatively harmless disease like the seasonal flu. That is not the case. It is as dangerous as TB or Bronchitis.
4519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 alts under $0.10 that can go 100x on: March 25, 2020, 03:41:23 PM
I don't understand the fetish that some users have for cryptocurrencies with small unit value. Why don't you guys understand that it is the market capitalization that matters and not the unit price? Let me make it a bit more clear. Right now, Ripple is having an exchange rate of $0.16 per coin. But the market cap of XRP is $7 billion. On the other hand, Maker is having a price of $272 per coin, but a market capitalization of just $270 million. Which one is a stronger coin, in your opinion?
4520  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coronavirus Prediction Thread on: March 25, 2020, 03:35:24 PM
In an optimistic scenario, I can foresee the outbreak getting contained in 2-3 months from now. It has been proven that the Coronavirus has less probability of surviving in hot and humid climates. And in Northern hemisphere, the summer season is about to start. Already there are lockdowns in many of the countries. Combined with this, the outbreak may get contained in a couple of months.
