4521  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 and Altcoins on: April 14, 2020, 02:53:09 PM
Wanna hear your thoughts about the upcoming BTC halving we will all see soon and the reflection it will have in both the BTC price and adoption, but also the major Altcoins.
By observing how world economic is doing right now and how crypto markets have reacted to past bitcoin halving, I like to list few things:
1. Halving may not give immediate hype into investors as people are not doing good in this corona outbreak time.
2. Bitcoin may take at least 3 to 6 months of time for a new ATH.
3. Most altocins may get delisted from exchanges. New altcoins may enter and do good due to manipulations.
4. Institutional funds may start inflow into bitcoins before halving too which may turn all our speculations upside down.
5. Institutional funds may trigger FOMO before halving but that FOMO may sustain for years as world wide investors may not get attractive investment opportunities other than cryptos.
4522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 14, 2020, 10:12:27 AM
Scammers in Telegram, well, there are scammers without Telegram, just why position a beautiful creation like Telegram with scammers, Telegram is a multi-functional tool with the ability to create a bot and a lot of other functionality, but as the question comes to do something useful through Telegram, many say telegram and there are scammers.
This is because telegram let scammers to misuse it with less efforts as there are many bugs are still to be fixed. One of those big bugs must be, letting scammers to add any telegram user into their group. This way scammers are easily adding 1000s of telegram users wherever they want to. This must be a privacy breach because people are getting added to any group without their permission. I'm not sure why telegram is still not blocking that feature.

As of now it is right to assume that telegram is associated with fraudsters because they are doing business in favor of scammers to exploit them. They also must limit the functionality of bots which are relevant to breaching individual's privacy.
4523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token burning on: April 13, 2020, 08:39:14 PM
Burning tokens/coins for the reason of expecting the higher value for remaining circulating supply has been into crypto community's practice for years. By 2014/2015, I have seen people were sending their excess BTC to an addy which was known for not having any privatekey to handle the balances in it. It sounded like a foolish idea to me n those times itself.

But, recently I come across about a project like they initially air dropped huge amount of tokens and now burning some percentage from those air dropped tokens with some criteria. It sounds like good practice in my opinion.
4524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think news can change the Crypto Market Sentiment very easily? on: April 13, 2020, 08:03:51 PM
It is an indirect affect and not a direct one but it definitely does affect it. Think about it, a news by itself when nobody reads it can't really affect anything, nobody read it so nobody knows about it, so it is irrelevant to market as you might expect, however when a news gets big and there is a viral situation going on, everybody hears about it and the first ones make their moves so the later ones who reads it and sees the movement will join thinking that is what they should do and it creates a snowball affect where everyone reacts the same way.

If you read a news even if its a good one but the price falls, you think that is the reason and you start selling too (well you shouldn't but some people do). That is why news do make people move their money to market movements.
4525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Comparing Traffic of Top 8 DApps with the Most Volume on: April 13, 2020, 07:31:14 PM

Don't really be fooled about the user numbers there, it can be faked very easily and many of them do it to make themselves looked like they are leading and be seen in places like this for this exact purpose, same goes for the amount of money involved as well.

Think about cryptokitties for example, that dapp literally crashed ethereums transaction for a while and it was amazingly getting investments all over yet they got low very quickly as well when they started to print kitties for special stuff when in its original form it should have been lacking new kitties. This is why know that these things go up and down very easily and in reality they might be alright but we will not know the real top 8 ever, just which ones are close to top 8 will be known.
4526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to begin your gambling affiliate journey. on: April 13, 2020, 05:24:46 PM
The idea is basically there will be more people interested and not "show as many ads as you want but if they are not interested they won't play", of course they won't if they are not interested, the whole topic is about maybe there could be more people who are willing to try gambling or maybe there could be people who are already gamblers but they want to change their current casino and find a new one. This is not about IF there are people out there who will join, that is a given thought here (maybe wrong maybe right) this is more about CAN YOU actually find those people if it is actually true.

Honestly affiliate networking is something I have always done and I can clearly tell everyone that it is not an easy job and it requires constant putting in effort and money, so if you are planning to do it just during this period, I would say stay away, if you are willing to continue after that, welcome.
4527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 13, 2020, 04:16:24 PM
The main idea could be explained a lot better and a lot easier. Just to give an example, lets say there is player A, player A is considered the best player in the world, or at least top 3 every year he plays, this is your messis and ronaldos basically, there is also Player B, he is young and he is quite good, you would definitely put him in your top 20, but more like 14th and not at the top, however he is 24 and he is 14th so that makes him quite valuable. Now why does the player B gets to be the most expensive player in the world but not player A?

Well, simply player A stays at his club for a while during that period and never leaves, since he is always at his club and maybe retire there (messi) or only transfer when he is too old for any other player but not for him (ronaldo) he doesn't get that huge transfer, whereas the player B does get a transfer from one team to another which is why he gets to become the most expensive player for a while, not because he is the best one.
4528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: April 13, 2020, 08:10:09 AM
In my opinion decentralized exchanges are much more popular amongst trader then centralized exchange because no one can control over them. Deposit and withdrawal are instant. Main thing is using this platforms traders fund are safe. people hold their private key or memonic to use these exchanges.
No. I still prefer trading on centralized exchanges. Unlike you have mentioned, the decentralized exchanges are not fully operating in decentralized manner and operators still have control over our funds. I agree that deposit and withdraw are instant but there is no proven facts to assume about the security of our funds to be safer because we have seen lots of hacking happen in decentralized exchanges as well.

DEX exchange sites have no access to users funds, private keys and the trading activities are done on the Ethereum blockchain while the exchange site works just like Escrow services between the buyer/seller.
You're sounding like P2P kind of transactions are happening in decentralized exchanges but actually the seller/buyer needs to transfer the funds to exchange's addy before the happening of execution of orders. It means the decentralized exchanges will take over the control of our funds before the actual business to be happening. I agree this is kind of escrow services but this is how centralized exchanges are working for years.

in my point of view decentralized exchanges are best improvement in Cryptocurrencies world
Decentralized exchanges are invention after dapps. If there is no such platform like ethereum for providing smart contract things, then we cannot think about having decentralized exchanges.
4529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Scalping? on: April 13, 2020, 07:04:05 AM
This strategy is really good
I love this strategy.
Not an easy one but a very profitable kind of trading if you done it right.
Please do not rush for a conclusion just by seeing the chart posted by OP. Unlike the levels marked in the chart, it would be too hard to find out where to go short/long and where to put stop-loss. Even you may do 3 to 5 profitable trades in a day, the next day one big loss will wipe out all your efforts.

Always strategies are seeming easier and profitable but in practical they are not. One usual problem with most indicators is time lagging; it means it will generates the signal only after the actual turning point. This is the reason the explanation of strategies or indicators are looking very much easier in books and complete different in markets.

Scalping requires to catch exact turning points of markets which must be too hard by any indicator or strategy. If you opt to catch small swings of markets then you may start losing bigger trends. Trading is all about profits which is too easier by catching bigger trends of markets because profiting the longer waves require less hassles compared to scalping.
4530  Economy / Economics / Re: History Reveals There Is No Going Back for the Economy on: April 13, 2020, 06:25:32 AM
Apparently the world population has not been into negative growth forever it means people needed to work hard to satisfy their day-to-day needs which means there are more workers than the past always and obviously more efforts to produce more things which is always referred as continuous growth of economy. In simple words: going back of economy may not happen when there are enough people to survive.

If you take per capita kind of things for calculations then we will observe big ups and downs in the history of human economy. I believe that current corona outbreak is not a big threat for human life as the death rate is calculated around 2% and we have seen bigger disasters in the past with death rate more than 25%. So, we can assume world economy may resume its progress in very near future regardless of vaccine for corona will be invented or not.
4531  Economy / Economics / Re: Just a remark about Bitcoin, Gold and Water... on: April 12, 2020, 07:35:36 PM
Water is something that we can have endless amount of, there is no limit on water and the world creates more and more of it every single day, so it is not really 21 million limit like bitcoin. Whereas gold has a limit, do we still mine and find gold time to time?

Sure we do, there are still gold miners out there, however that doesn't mean that we have unlimited amount of that, eventually gold will dry out and we will no longer have gold, that is why most people actually even recycle old stuff with gold in it to get the optimum amount of gold in the active market. Long story short water is unlimited and needed to survive on a planet, without water you will die, gold is not needed but valuable anyway and limited, bitcoin is like gold in every aspect of the word.
4532  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best crypto exchange? on: April 12, 2020, 04:50:46 PM
Binance. Binance all the way for me, think about it this website got 40 million dollars stolen and they paid all of it from their own pockets so that you wouldn't have any troubles. I would trust any exchange that has that type of profit, this doesn't only tell you that you are going to get your money back even if their hot wallet gets hacked all of a sudden, but it also tells you that SO MANY people are using it that they have made enough profits to pay 40 million dollars to continue operations like nothing happened.

There is really no way I am not going to trust binance when it comes to security and success. Plus it is a draw to trade at where everyone else is trading as well and we all know binance is definitely the biggest altcoin exchange out there.
4533  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade what you can't risk loosing on: April 11, 2020, 05:55:58 PM
People just want to get out of this risky situation we are all in where just one time of missing payment could cripple our economy all together. Right now, thankfully I am still working but if I get fired today, I will not be able to find a job because of corona as well, which means I am going to be starving for the next 3-4 months at best, I will probably make a debt and put it all on my credit card and going to have trouble, but even with that when I finally find a job after corona I will have to work to pay these months debts first, and by that time I will be in deep trouble again if I get fired. People are trying to get away from that, take their own freedom and that causes them to make silly moves like putting money they can't afford to lose to bitcoin.
4534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 11, 2020, 07:15:47 AM
there is one question that appears at this point that "What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin ?". Is it makes a high price by listing on many different exchanges or the team works behind that altcoin/project? Or something else.
One simple thing must be "real-world application". Yes, it is all about what kind of solution a new coin is going to provide for what problem. For example, ethereum was developed to provide a platform for tokens which are for eliminating the requirement of having native coins for each project. It means ethereum helps business not to have their own blockchain still they can act like having their own crypto.

This is a big question which all of us want to know.
Not really. Yes, I have seen this type of questions/suggestions have been asked on this forum at least for hundred times but sadly no devs are ready to learn from those discussions. They simply create only speculative based projects just to lure investors.
4535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust wallet rocks on: April 11, 2020, 06:36:25 AM
Trust wallet is awesome in many ways and I have also been using it for quite long now. Discovered it last year, and I used it to collect some airdrops. Compared to other decentralized wallets like Coinomi and Mycelium wallet I would say that Trust is best. The simplicity of the interface makes it easy for anyone to easily make use of it. Most of the other wallets I have used are always sophisticated and you will find it difficult getting around it, but this one is easy.

It also carries one of the most important features you can stake few coins which must be a very cool feature we cannot get with most other wallets. Currently I am staking TRX and earning some decent worth satoshis in trx and waiting for them to add waves coins as well.
4536  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: April 11, 2020, 06:01:31 AM
Unfortunately this will pass one day and everything will go back to how it was and that is really not something the world would need. What it really taught me is the fact that world is fine and will be fine as well, it is us humans that are in danger. Think about it, green people talk about how the world is ending because there is pollution and climate change and basically the air is getting hotter and hotter and that will end the world.

Well, what I learned is the fact that no the world is fine, sure it is getting worse for humans, sure it is getting harder and harder to live, sure the water levels go higher, sure there are more fires in the world but that will hurt the people, and maybe some animals as well, but in the end when all humans die because of it, world will continue to turn and just exist, it is us humans who are going to extinct and not the world itself.
4537  Economy / Economics / Re: We need a economic revolution right now . on: April 10, 2020, 03:03:54 PM
If we were ready this moment could have been really a great one, think about it like if we were really ready for a huge overhaul in the economical and political way, during this pandemic we would have been able to actually get a revolution done. However we were not really ready so we couldn't really do it even if we wanted to.

In the future we should get ready for it so that we would have some grass roots movement. In USA we could had bernie sanders as the next president, he has a lot more followers than just democrats, because democrats would vote for anyone you give them against Trump but Bernie would have gotten votes from green party and independents and also even some moderate republicans as well, dude is loved by Vermont that he has been senator for a long time. We missed that opportunity for example.
4538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if BTC never reaches all time high? on: April 10, 2020, 01:49:31 PM
What if BTC never reaches all time high?

Look what happened to Japan stock index Nikkei 225:
https://adjusted-for-inflation.com/japanese-stock-market-nikkei-225/

It peaked in year 1990 at 38800 and only managed to get back to 24800. Now it looks likely it will never reach its all time high anymore.
I guess it is not a good idea to compare Japan's stock with bitcoin because one simple different is bitcoin is having adopters from all over the world and I am not seeing anyone from my country not investing with Japan's stocks. I remember there were lots of topics by 2015 which talked about what if bitcoin would not be moving forward.

Like anyone, for me too the future of bitcoin is a mystery, everyone is unsure as to whether there is going to be another all time high price and Bitcoin beating the last all time high price. But if Bitcoin doesn’t beat it’s last all time high price, I wouldn’t be much worried about that, it doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t be able to make any profit, there will still be some fluctuations and you will make profit just like we are seeing it now. I’m very okay with the price and most times the price is nothing that I worry about because I know that things will always get better.
4539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Corona Virus Scams on: April 10, 2020, 01:16:44 PM
The first scam you have mentioned I think it will be obvious when you see such a scam, and moreover I am not the type of person that donate my money to a platform I don’t know. Take for example, I have Red Cross and Save a Child for a long time and I know their site and their social platforms, so I donate to them and when I see other random sites that are asking for donations, I don’t donate, because I don’t know them.

If I ever feel like donating, I go through their social handles to judge their authenticity. There are lots of things I check that can help me tell whether the platform I’m seeing is real or fake. Moreover there are lots of people on my street and platforms so I guess I do not need to go online but physically I may go for helping people if I adjust my budget for the reason for hard time for common people who do not have adequate saving to survive lockdown days.
4540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin current situation on: April 10, 2020, 12:46:46 PM
I have seen the story of a man who invested his loan in Bitcoin and then the money grew to a huge amount and he withdrew and paid back the loan and still had more than twice of the amount left. So, bitcoin has helped many people and in current situation who are able to withstand may enjoy more fruitful returns just for holding bitcoin in harder times as well.

For me, I would say that it was just luck that was on his side, this might not be the same story as everyone , there are people who might try it, which I know there are, and they will end up losing their money, so it’s by luck. I wouldn’t take such a risk, I would prefer to go from little to something than to be rushing things, because if should lose a huge amount it’s going to frustrate me so much.
