4521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT on Bittrex on: April 25, 2014, 06:23:47 PM
any one know what is going on with NXT at Bittrex? Wallet seems disabled from long time. I have open ticket with them but have not heard anything.

Try to ticket them again ... so far I as know Bittrex is responding quite fast. Maybe they suffer some busy time.

it looks like there was only 1 transaction there on NXT market..
4522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New "What is Bitcoin?" Video on: April 25, 2014, 06:13:16 PM
It's kind of an update rather than an improvement.

Yes well.. it is "updated" but not really up to date like I was saying.

http://youtu.be/Gc2en3nHxA4?t=18s   0.0005BTC ... lol
4523  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's the worst you've ever messed something up at your job? on: April 25, 2014, 06:11:20 PM
I recently found out I was missing a step when "store use" products at work. for the past year I haven't been pressing "C" to complete the process and so everything I've scanned has been going into our missing/stolen report. its just stuff like hand sanitizer, rubber bands and cleaning supplies but still... Tongue

LOL good one! Smiley it is not your fault! They made mistake by not checking your knowledge of how to use their software.

4524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: April 25, 2014, 06:07:12 PM

Soon we will see 100 new threads like "Bitcoin price will hit $1 soon" "Bubble! Sell your BTC!!"

... I hate when price is dropping because of that what I wrote above ...

But .. perhaps I should just get used to it.

Smiley What we are doing wrong?
4526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Coin2.0 [C2.0] - The forward thinking POS altcoin with a plan. on: April 25, 2014, 06:01:32 PM
Oh I forgot to ask... are paper wallets secure? I have never used one. I think we have them for Coin2 already? Reason I ask is that I am going to start selling Coin2 paper wallets because there will be a lot of people out there who will prefer to avoid the hassle of an exchange.

Then again there will most likely be charge backs galore. Not sure on that one now.
Paper wallet are secure:

1.  if address and private key are generated with an OFFLINE computer
2.  if the printer memory is cleaned after print (I don't know how to do this)
3.  if your print 2 or 3 copies stored in different safe places

Please note that you won't get the stake with coins stored on paper wallet.

Some people put their wallet paper in a plastic pocket, others laminated it to prevent water or humidity damage.

We have an online Open Source JavaScript Client-Side Coin2 Wallet Generator, but it still generates OLD C2 address. http://paperwallet.ga/Coin2/

My english is poor and my technical knowledges as weel, thus I can manage to contact paperwallet.ga to ask them to fit Coin2.0.

They should change it with no problem. I will send them a message too!

You should send it too so they will consider it faster I suppose.

PS. I cannot find their E-mail address Tongue if you know one you can share.

4529  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-25] CR: Bank of China Issues New Warnings, Bitcoin Price Drops on: April 25, 2014, 04:39:32 PM

Quote
As a result of the reported crackdown by the PBOC, Bitcoin price has dropped to around $450 from its recent high of around $500 after recovering from yet another China scare. The price drop indicates that traders are panicking due to the China news. It almost feels as though there is some form of manipulation being instigated by the Chinese Bank officials as it would seem that they still haven’t made up their minds. It is also important to note that Caixin has a reputation of spreading rumors hence this recent news should be taken with a grain of salt.

This is why I was telling many times - we should look at our markets. Instead of listening to rumors.

Thanks for sharing this article.

Interesting quote :
Quote
The hearing focused more on the negative points; volatility and investment hazards. Bitcoin’s involvement in unlawful activities was also mentioned as a concern. Overall, the hearing got through to some who had uncertainties of Bitcoin, and Bitcoin supporters were able to get their points across.

They should focus on good points of using Bitcoin Smiley

apparently not only the sunlot is trying to propose a plan to resurrect Gox, but Okcoin too.

Got a source to the OKcoin story?

Im sure there will be something more official but just IRC atm, apparently Okcoin were creditors as well so have a vested interest, appartenly the Sunlot people were trying to make a deal with Mark to buy the company before it all broke but it sounds like a very shady deal from the Mark and Sunlot perspective.

OKCoin certainly makes sense with the China ban situation.

We were taking about rally, launch etc. and instead of this we have to look at this drop ...

4538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New "What is Bitcoin?" Video on: April 25, 2014, 02:05:20 PM
I am sorry what is better in that video than in original one?

It is almost the same ... and if this is so new why they put a fee 0.0005BTC when it is 0.0001BTC in most cases?

Thanks for sharing. I think video is good ... but it is almost a same with a original... and I think original (old one) is better.

Edited: Both videos are very good Wink

Lol Smiley nice one! Smiley

I had two funny situations:

1. I was fixing a client's computer. Everything went smoothly and then I saw that his recycle bin is "full". So I pressed "Empty..."
Client came to a room so I told him what I did to fix his computer and I told him that he had a lot of trash in a bin ... and I clean it too    for   him.  Smiley He told me he was holding there most important things for his studies and work ... Smiley
.. hours of recovering.

2.Almost same kind of mistake, but: I recommend CCleaner to all of mine customers. Once I installed CCleaner for my client and to show him how does it work I use this tool to clean up his system trashes...

And I forgot to uncheck "delete history" in a web browser Smiley

He told me that he had more than 200 stored addresses that he really need and he was searching for those sites for years... and he was only using his history to open those addresses .... Smiley
...hours of recovering..
