More fud from China at the $500 mark.. who mentioned that would happen.  Guys China is going to continue to throw FUD at BTC everytime it comes up around $500, you watch.

4523  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy handing over user info to big brother! on: April 24, 2014, 07:12:17 PM
Are we actually debating if the gov spies on us after snowden.. like really?  Holy f ing f.. I hate sheeple

no, its a certainty that the US are grabbing data. but what is being discussed is with all of that data on millions of people. some people here think they are of such importance that governments are actually reading data concerning them.

the ego of some basement dwellers thinking they are more important then terrorists, murderers and rapists. truly amuses me

I'd bet dollars to donuts they are selling the data they recieve, although again... I see your point of so what, but I want to get paid for release data about me god damnit.  You wanna know what my cock looks like NSA you gotta pay, or well should have to pay.. free loaders.

How do you figure?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417159.4700;topicseen

The S1 ant miner is 20% the cost and the same mining power..  AMT is probably legit it's just bitmain's price makes it difficult to justify buying from AMT.

*Edit*

Well it seems your 1.2, 2.4 and 3.6Thash miners are pretty decently priced.  Perhaps you could make a really cheap 80-200 Ghash unit?  Lots of people aren't ready to drop +3k on miners.
4525  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy handing over user info to big brother! on: April 24, 2014, 07:05:37 PM
Personally I agree with the poster, and people should not use the same email they put on a government form for personal issues (not that I follow that rule, but I can't fault it.)

Other than that, how many people that trade on cryptsy actually make enough money that they are going to be audited, let alone get to the point where your explanation isn't good enough and they start a criminal investigation, or whatever the fuck happens.

Well TBH I am Canadian and my gov seems to currently NGAF if it's under 10k.
4526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee too high? on: April 24, 2014, 07:04:01 PM
I kind of do see this becoming an issue as it costs me 1 dogecoin to complete a doge transaction.. that isn't even a penny.  There are lots of people on the planet that 5 cents per transaction is actually going to hurt them.

Ignore post, wasn't really on topic with subject.

I don't get everyone's fetish with ASIC's killed BTC...  It cost me about $700 to get one ASIC unit up and running.. that is not expensive.

A GPU (can) cost as little as $200 and earned more BTC than your $700 ASIC does.  The GPU era also showed greater decentralization and a greater ability for the average technically competent person to involve themself.

I only know 2-3 people IRL besides myself that could setup a GPU/CPU to mine...  A LOT of people.. I mean a lot don't even know how to make a new folder on the C drive...  Mind you.. same amount of people could setup an ASIC so I guess it's kind of a moot point.

Did someone really just say that "Wall St. ($) was flooding in?" Wall St.? Chirp! Chirp! Crickets...and a few distant laughs! Not! Wall St. players invest with other peoples' money and if you think that they are going to start risking their careers and the financial lives of their clients for something as risky and new as BTC, you are insane. Way down the road, if BTC is still around and built out properly...maybe?!

Do google Kevin O'leary's view on bitcoin.  You actually think they would bring banners and horns and announce to the world they are buying up bitcoin?
4533  Other / Off-topic / Re: Colonizing Mars on: April 24, 2014, 02:22:01 PM
That's not it at all. It's hypothetical because it's just fantasy based on what's theoretically possible. None of what they suggested has been tested and unlikely ever will.
It will be tested, and Mars will be terraformed. Who the hell wants to live on barrens?

It won't ever be terraformed or inhabited. It's not feasible or probably even possible at all.

Never ever say never...  100 years ago if I told you we were going to the moon you'd tar and feather me and I'd be the laughing stock of the city.. Guess what we landed on?
4534  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer with Cheap PSU on: April 24, 2014, 02:20:41 PM
Aii, good i didnt buy Cooler Master. Seems it only got 1 x PCI-e.
Heck, maybe I should just pay EUR 20 more for the corsair.

Or the server side PSU  Grin

All of mine only had 1 PCI-E..  strip the wires that power the CPU bam you have your second 12 volt rail.
4535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Final Warning for Long-term holders... on: April 24, 2014, 02:04:22 PM
Having a jumbo mortgage, at London Interbank Offered Rate (plus 1%) with your head way above water, makes good sense. Tons of wealthy people have mortgages and put leverage to good use. I would bet dollars to dimes that the vast majority of people on the Forbes 400 have mortgages or wise debt in some form. I live next door to the biggest hockey star (worth 100 million, plus, plus!) in the world and he has two mortgages on one home. Mortgages are really one of the only ways that wealthy people can stay on the credit radar. It's important to have perfect credit when the right deals come calling. I'll give up four safe points any day of the week provided that my money is coming in at a much higher ROI. Have you ever heard of opportunity costs? Didn't think so.

2008 anyone?
4536  Economy / Speculation / Re: DID GOLD JUST HIT THE FAN? on: April 24, 2014, 01:55:56 PM
To anyone wondering why RT would be antsy to advance bitcoin, consider the fact that they have Max Keiser, the biggest loud mouth fraudster fake pump and dump dirt bag on the planet, in their midst. They're all likely heavily invested in BTC and wouldn't mind limiting the hemorrhaging.

Max told you to invest when it was sub $50... you did not listen until it started skyrocketing......  The man is quite respectable.
4537  Economy / Speculation / Re: DID GOLD JUST HIT THE FAN? on: April 24, 2014, 01:54:47 PM
Gold is down pretty deep now..

Because most gold being sold is sold only on paper, bro. In next crisis or war theese papers will in some strange way disappear or for one or another reason become invalid contracts. Nationalization of gold is also not out of the question, considering it's happened during all major crisis previously. That means all centralbanks/IMF/Rothschilds controlled banks(Meaning 99% of all banks) holding theese papers or even the physical gold could be confiscated. Thus, they never even have to admit to selling gold they didn't have.

I own 1 & 1/4 oz of gold and about 70 oz of silver.. REAL gold and silver, Smiley.  I know all about the paper game on gold.. why anyone would accept paper as gold still blows my mind.

4538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can't stop Bitcoin from dropping down? on: April 24, 2014, 12:46:33 PM
One event to cause distrust in paper and we'll see bitcoin strap on rockets.

Fractional banking cannot last forever...  It is 100% not possible to have expoential economics and finite resources.. when it comes to the end.... let us hope the blind, deaf and stupid debt slaves will wake up and attempt to free themselves from the bondage they were born into.. but I have my doubts.
4539  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: April 24, 2014, 12:43:55 PM
I like how bitcoin always ends up helping the people..

I am not a big fan of how our fractional banking system can only end one way.... 99.999999% of the population dirt dirt dirt poor debt slaving them sevles out to a few 100 people...
