4521  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Provably fair Dice & HILO game 🎲↕️ 30% Rakeback💰$500 Daily Race🔥 on: May 04, 2020, 11:02:10 AM
I really never understood why Aces are always at the bottom for hilo but not on poker. Considering poker is a lot more popular I would assume that would be the thing people think with when they consider Aces as the big one. However on blackjack Aces are both 1 but also 11 as well, and faces are 10, so ace is both lowest but also highest there as well like the middle ground of both of it.

Hilo might be considered not so easy for some people when they are playing for the first time. I have made the same mistake for example, I got aces and said it will be lower because there is nothing higher than aces in my mind, and I was shocked about the odds as well, not here though, here I think when you get Ace, there is no lower option, I am not sure but I remember it that way, so it blocks that confusion a bit.
4522  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: May 04, 2020, 05:06:37 AM
On a side note: one thing I really wish bustabit had was a sort of temporal leaderboard. Pretty often I see large changes to the bankroll, and it'd be nice to see where the money went (or came from). Something like the leaderboard except with "1 day" and "1 week" and "1 month" and "all time" would be really cool imo.

I think this is a very good suggestion. the current leaderboard serves more as a "hall of fame" and says rather little about which players are currently active on the platform and how they perform.

A weekly/monthly Leaderboard would also have the advantage that players could see it as an incentive to be at the top and play more accordingly. It might even be possible to link the monthly Leaderboards with competitions, even if only when these are introduced.
Definitely a great suggestion, people should be able to see who is winning a lot or who is losing a lot, basically a wagering thing. You could have like daily, weekly and monthly, I suppose that would be enough. That way you can see who is wagering the most in those periods and you might try to guess who makes it. One trouble though is the "hidden names" because some people may not want to be there, and many people would want their names hidden if they are really putting up so much money to it.

Some people joined with the usernames they use other places as well so for example if my bitcointalk name and bustabit name is same (which it is but I am not a whale Cheesy ) that means if I wager 100 btc per day, you will find out who I am and come either begging or try to hack me, which is why I think leaderboard has a challenge to overcome.
4523  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk SwC Championship Poker Series(50 mBtc added by SwC) on: May 03, 2020, 07:52:23 PM
Even though I wasn't capable of joining ( I was afraid to go against you lot Cheesy ) I really followed this very closely and I would like to congratulate Iv4n for the win as well! I would like to also congratulate everyone who joined as well, felt a lot like "even if you run 1 mile per hour for just 1 mile, you are still running faster than everyone who stays at home" type of situation. You may not have won something but you have gained a lot more than I did or anyone else who didn't, which is entertainment.

I would like to also thank the people who made this possible, I loved watching it closely. Next time (if there is a next time, and I hope there is) I may actually end up joining as well, not sure if I will have the courage because you guys are awesome but I really want to.
4524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH could reach $440 if bullish on: May 02, 2020, 09:17:52 PM
ETH is witnessing a massive pump this year and hopefully I wish it to continue, if the bulls continue to reach the next level resistance it may $440. However it is important to remember this is just an indicator,  I believe it has the capability to reach this value by the end of this year.
For sure there is the possibility for the price of Ethereum to increase to that level. The price has been steady up this month and this might trigger a FOMO and a lot of people will rush to buy, thereby leading the asset to a bull run. The BTC halving is in few days, what kind of effect is it going to have in the cryptocurrency market, especially with the coins that correlates with BTC, just like ETH.

Well, Ethereum is the best altcoin till date and hence has all it takes to reach that price and even more but as it stands in the crypto space, it is hard or there is no way to accurately predict the future price of coins hence we can only but hope things work accordingly.
For sure, Ethereum is the biggest altcoin in the market. But it doesn’t mean that the price will be going up all the time. Around last year Ethereum wasn’t really good and there were lots of other altcoins that performed better than it, although they were not able to reach a level to overtake ETH as the number one altcoin in the market.
4525  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 02, 2020, 07:45:46 PM
Against my own good advice I have decided to deposit something new in my account and wager it. So far so good, 7 tickets and a small profit. Now not sure if should go for new strategy: 0.1% tickets every week for normal lotto. And hopefully win something and just rely on all that for the next 178 days?
Depositing doesn't need to be a risky thing if you do not want it to take risks. There is always a way to spend your money to both get yourself a better position no matter how you look at it, plus also help the website at the same time as well. One of the situations is actually putting money there and letting it get investment interest, they are using that money to make more money while you are making more money as well, everyone wins.

Or you can simply advertise your affiliate link, that way they get a lot of new people while you are earning a commission as well. I can't think of any other method right now but both of these help you make more money while also helping the website make more money as well, so you do not have to risk anything at all to earn something.
4526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to buy - question to Hodlers on: May 02, 2020, 05:39:18 PM
If you ask the true bitcoin lovers (who are all the known long term holders) about when to buy bitcoins, then they will simply answer like "all the times are good to enter bitcoins because we are still in the beginning days of bitcoin's boom and you may consider yourself as an early adopter and late adopter of bitcoin yet to born" Grin Cheesy. Yes, we have seen these at least 100 times across this forum's various boards.

Honestly, the current times must be most right time to buy bitcoins by considering the upcoming halving. You may not need to wait with holding if you expect some 10% or 25% of returns. But, it is highly recommended to hold until 2021 if you look for 10x profits. Yes, 1000% returns if you opt to hold for years. So, current time must be more profitable for the people who plan up for years.
4527  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting as a Trader and Trading Bitcoin on: May 02, 2020, 02:16:06 PM
Experience is still the best teacher though are things that we can only learn through books like when we need to learn how to read for us to do that we need books same as in trading we can learn a lot of things and be successful on this through experience but we will still need those paid calls or books that contain information about trading.
Yes, experience matters. A beginner in trading, should not focus on accumulating profits but should focus on accumulating as much as possible experience by risking all the new things they come across but with small capital. Unfortunately most new traders are just focusing on cracking profits because from day one itself they want to be trading like pro.

Crypto market is no different from the stock market you can invest and trade into both of them, --strategies and current or upcoming situation makes them different on when and how you will respond to it.
Basics of all the markets are same because risk management - money management - controlling our emotions are same thing everywhere. But, level of fluctuations and impacting news sectors may differ market to market but those things are easier to adopt for a trader who is switching over.
4528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: He Lost His Investment. See what Happened! on: May 02, 2020, 07:56:40 AM
The professional trader promised to pay profit monthly which is supposed to be a fixed ROI.

It happened that the traders was actually faithful to the promised payment for a certain period.

But, the trader took the money invested with him and use it for other investment. It happened that he lost the whole money.

This became a big case between the traders and the individual investors. As it stands his money and other people's money with him had gone down the drain.
If you watch, our services board and daily news paper's classified (may be not frequently after corona outbreak) are carrying such ads in uncountable numbers. One basic question is, if those traders are able to pay back certain ROI every month, why not they trade for themselves and make huge profits out of their own trading skills.

They do not want to risk their own money but they plan to trade with other's money. If you notice they will promise for fixed ROI (in some percentage regardless of how much they may profit) every month and if losses occurs then the investor need to bear all the losses and not in percentage. Honestly, they are all stealing our money in the name of some white business. If you watch this forum then probably you might have avoided the above scenario for your friend as we do see lots of people are asking such investments here and experienced member of this forum are continuously busting them before scamming this community.
4529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important ? on: May 01, 2020, 09:03:04 PM
That is why we have stop loss and other stuff in trading, so you do not lose too much at all. Plus you are right that when it goes down 50% it required to go up 100% to be back and that is one of the reasons why it is so hard to make money in trading, however you can stop looking at the % it increases or decreases and focus on the price itself, which usually does matter a lot as well.

For example price of one altcoin could be 100 dollars, if it drops to 90 dollars, you can simply expect it to go up to 100 dollars instead of trying to wait for it to go up a bit over 10%, if you wait in % you are going to be disappointed a lot more frequently, just focus on the price and you would be basically expecting it to be what it once was which shows you what it could be.

I didn't know that you guys had live dealers at all, that brings in a lot more new people I am sure during this period because we are all locked up at our houses and the only thing we could do right now is gamble online, yet when you offer people a live dealer you are making them feel more at a casino and less playing a computer game feeling.

I know that almost all of your customers could be males so I understand the physical approach of having female live dealers but it would be a bit more progressive and equal opportunities if you could had at least one guy in there to at least call out for the female gamblers as well, haven't seen one online at all, its 2020 after all and we are deep in politically correct world nowadays, only matter of time until someone calls it a sexist thing to not have a guy dealer at all.
4531  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: May 01, 2020, 02:17:11 PM
Last tournaments there were about 120~ entrants, I think. But to be honest, the field was fishy as hell last Wednesday. Sometimes half of the table was "Sitting-Out" or went "All-In" every second hand.

There were 149 entrants and I atleast found 5-6 inactive players at my table for the staring 4-5 levels. Yeah really frustrated me with players who right after they sat on the table after inactivity and then goes all-in .  It is really getting annoying now  Angry

I hope sportsbet will do something about it and will be really glad if sportsbet puts some restrictions in the next one as they find suitable.

It was the same story at every table , for example my table had 7 inactive people , and the only guy I was playing against was shoving all the time cards.
I think I got kicked out first  , I had AQ against his 7-3 . Needless to say I lost.

This is usually the strategy of people playing with many alts , they shove every hand until they get lucky and double-triple their balance . And only after they play somewhat decent.
I wouldn't be surprised if people join this tournament with 5-6 alts in order to improve their chances .      And gameplay quality wise , unfortunately it's very low ,  until 60-80 % of the players are out.
I don't know, being inactive all the time and being active just once are different stuff, so there could be maybe a resolution that punishes people who are inactive for long periods of time all the time that doesn't affect the people who are inactive for just once or twice. This poker tourney could last for hours on end, which means people could have needs, you could literally just need a break for no reason at all other than being tired.

So basically just focus on punishing people who are constantly inactive, comeback play a bit maybe even win a bit and go inactive again, but also do not punish people who are rarely ever inactive but take some breaks for human needs that they might have. Finding that sweet spot in the middle is quite difficult I know.

...Can you ask the team to make the site more friendly for the users who use TOR? This captcha thing...3 to 4 times to solve the captcha before able to login...after certain minutes it logs out and you are going to go with the same lengthy process again to log in...

Indeed it looks like a TOR browser problem because I have only to solve captcha once in the login process.

Maybe there are no cookies saved in your ToR browser (are they?), so with every click to a new page, you have to login again and new captcha has to be resolved.
It is a bit about google cache as well, meaning if you are on google and constantly solving captchas for some reason, eventually google will realize that you are actually a human and will not ask you for anything at all, even if there is a captcha to be solved you gonna click on it and it will not ask you anything at all.

When you are using ToR that is not happening, google doesn't know who you are or why you are there and so forth, each time you use it you are a brand new person, which is awesome if you think about the fact that you are not followed like google usually does, but at the same time google doesn't know who you are so you will be asked each time. It is a trade off, either stay anon and not be known and solve captcha each time, or just be followed by google if you are fine with it (I am) and don't solve any captcha if you already have a few times.
4533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the first reason why fraud projects are increasingly rampant? on: May 01, 2020, 06:55:08 AM
I don’t really know for you, but scammers are not really new thing for me. Anywhere I go online, as long as it’s business and money that is being discussed , I’m always sure to expect scammers, it’s up to me to know the right thing to do and avoid them as much as possible. So, don’t act like it’s a new thing, because it has always been like that, there have been a lot of them right from beginning. The more the number of ICO projects continues to grow, the more there will be scam projects.

Most of them now are trying to make it look real, but still it’s only those who are dumb that falls for it. You shouldn’t rush into anything you see online, you have to be skeptic at first, take your time to research them and know who they are and what their project is all about.
4534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 Question on: May 01, 2020, 06:06:22 AM
Coronavirus keeps getting outta hands in countries like Italy and France and others, things keep getting worse with the disease every day but I surprised me is the affectionate to crypto, it seems to stop affecting crypto already what do you think?
Things are getting back to normal I guess Roll Eyes. At the start of this year the price of Bitcoin was affected and that’s why it fell to a lower price. And it’s not just Bitcoin that was affected by the pandemic, a lot of other cryptocurrencies got affected. But the market has been recovering as of recent, and a recent article on Coindesk is signalling that there might soon be a FOMO and the price will go very high above the current.

At the present time I am drowning in excess of the damage caused by the corona virus. It's a very bad time, no one knows when this situation will end, when will the COVID-19 epidemic end? When will the coin market be normal again ??
Nobody knows when the Covid-19 pandemic is going to end. There are lots of people who are fighting towards that, and a lot of scientists in different countries are fighting hard towards finding the cure to the Coronavirus. The vaccine that is being talked about would take a lot of months before it’s released.
4535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose a good project and avoid fraud projects? I need your advice on: May 01, 2020, 04:51:38 AM
most prizes and ICOs are just scams, so how do you choose the prizes you will participate in?
Did you join the gift because it was handled by a famous gift manager,
Or just because it has a high level in several ICO rankings,
Or do you really read their white paper and spend time looking for a good project.
Hopefully you can help other hunters by sharing how to choose a good project not only for prizes but also for investment.
For you to be able to avoid these scammers, first of all you will have to know the common type of scams that you will see in the cryptocurrency space, although that doesn’t mean the scammers won’t try different approach in the future.

The first regular type of scam you will be seeing in the cryptocurrency space is the imposter websites. Almost every big cryptocurrency site you know, if not all, has scammers that are pretending to be the original. To avoid problems like this, you have to make sure that link you’re visiting has 'https' on it, if not, then you will have to think twice about it.

Another type of scam is the fake mobile apps, this one is similar to that of imposter websites. The next one is the social media scammers; there are many of them on social media and you will see them making some cool offers that you might not be able to resist, but you have to think twice before accepting any offer. Lastly there are email scams; I believe you know about this one , so there is no need going further in it.
4536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 30, 2020, 08:12:50 PM
Honestly, they are not really all that different to me. Coinmarketcap is a lot older and has a lot better website, the UI and the likes are all perfect, the coding and the design is far better. Coingekko on the other hand shows the numbers a lot better, it is easy to show the price of a coin that is given and simple, the volume however is the hard part and coingekko works on that a lot more, they are trying very hard to stop with the fake volume thing and show the real one, they are probably not 100% there yet but they are definitely better than coinmarketcap.

It means both place has their shortcomings and their positives as well, whatever you pick, as long as you do not use it for something serious, you would still get the info you are looking for.
4537  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: April 30, 2020, 07:18:59 PM
Whatever kind of change it’s going to be, I hope it’s going to be for the better. When it comes to people’s character, I will say they will learn to be more careful and avoid some things and the way they interact with others. And as for the government, I think from now on the government in every country that was affected will learn to invest more money in the health section.

In developing countries where their leaders care less about their health system, it’s going to hit them hard and they will learn a lesson from this and prepare their countries for the future. There is a total lockdown and no one is allowed to travel from one country to another.
4538  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: April 30, 2020, 06:09:31 PM
How long do you think the crisis can last after the epidemic?
What are the most likely events to occur?
I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen after the pandemic, and the things I imagine are not things that I wish would happen. The lockdown that are being placed in countries in the globe is really affecting them, and we face serious recession afterwards. Leaders around the world are now trying to ease the lockdown, they have announced in my country that they will ease the lockdown starting from May 4th, but people were advised to maintain social distancing and wear masks when leaving their homes. I’m afraid that the situation might get worst after this.

I read an article on theconversation.com and the writer explained step by step what’s likely to happen after this pandemic. They stated about four futures that will affect our life after, and they are the state capitalism which will focus on prioritizing exchange value, and Barbarism which is a bit similar. Then the next two which are State socialism and mutual aid that priorities protection of life.
4539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: April 30, 2020, 05:32:23 PM
Recommending Bitcoin to him is a good idea, but what kind of job did you recommend that he do? Because, if you're trying to say that he's going to be investing money, then that would be a bad idea at this time. A lot of people right now are looking for a means to put food on their table till the lockdown is lifted by the government.

We are not sure when that's going to happen, although in some countries the government has said they will be lifting some of the restrictions and allow people to go to work so that they can make money and take care of their needs. If there would be some payment process services which accepts bitcoins for loading ATM cards then at least we can see people are making use of their bitcoins at this lockdown times when they may not have regular income streams. Let's wait and see what future is going to unfold for all of us.
4540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet advice? on: April 30, 2020, 04:41:55 PM
I have been making use of the Blockchain wallet for over four years now. What exactly were the complaints you were seeing on TrustPilot about Blockchain? The only problem I once had with it was that I created an account and didn't copy down my wallet ID. But I later discovered that on their website you can check the wallet ID that is attached to your email address. That's how I was able to gain access back to the wallets.

If that's the case, then you have got no problem. Coinbase is also good and I have not had any issue with them. I don't know about the ZenGo you mentioned ,I have not used the wallet before. Unless you want to be using hardware wallets like Trezor or Ledger Nano X.
