4541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the cause of this dump.. on: October 21, 2018, 08:47:53 AM
I think this is the result of FUD and the last bitcoin pump on december 2017--real investors probably left or are still burnt by the last bull run. It is also quite possible that whales are purposely influencing the market so they can accumulate more bitcoin at a surplus price.
4542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To invest in an ICO, Reviewing of the team behind is necessary? on: October 20, 2018, 05:51:38 AM
This is absolutely necessary. Investing on a project without knowing the team is like giving money to someone you just met on a train station. They might argue that bitcoin also founded by an unknown entity but the thing is, bitcoin is already a working product then. And it has already proven its worth in this space.
4543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some well-known Bounty managers “disappeared”? on: October 19, 2018, 01:28:18 PM
Nothing to be sad about, this is a natural outcome. Of course, they also have a life outside this forum so it makes sense that time would come that they wouldn't manage any bounty. IMO though, a bounty manager handling a bounty doesn't necessarily mean that it will succeed so it doesn't matter if they go away.
4544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin are you bullish on, which are you bearish? on: October 19, 2018, 12:52:08 PM
I'm very bullish on EXRN and XRP. The former is very under the radar right now and is in the development phase but if they can manage to bring forth what their idea, it will be very profitable. The latter is also a good investment sincd it is backed by the banks. Hate to say it but this is the reality; it gives profit more.

Anyway, I'm bearish on ETH until the fiasco (difficulty bomb, POW to POS, etc) is resolved.
4545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Research Ico on: October 19, 2018, 12:50:45 PM
I use icobench, icorating, icodrops and This forum. I occasionally go to youtube to see which ICOs are being reviewed by popular crypto youtubers like boxmining. There are plenty of resources actually... the Internet is your limitation.
4546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CASH- WILL IT REPLACE BITCOIN TO BE A KING OF CRYPTO on: October 17, 2018, 11:16:03 PM
Bitcoin cash is a scam coin that deceives new investors. At first yes, the increase in block size is good. However if we look at it long term, it is not a viable solution. For something sustainable in the long run, we need a solution with an exponential nature--not a linear approach that is increasing block sizes.
4547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power consumption of Bitcoin mining on: October 17, 2018, 11:02:28 PM
To mine the bitcoin is very much needed electricity to use, but I think there will be a way to mine another coin that is more power efficient.

So true. We cannot only use the non-renewable resources to be the only source of energy. People can also used other forms to create electricity. Everything here is in deep need of electricity therefore we cannot really control it because it is a necessity. So the only thing we can do is to find alternatives.
Technology will also find its way into the GPUs and bring the computing power more faster and efficient level. I do believe though that bitcoin mining now is very power consuming. Imagine, at this level of adaption, it already consumes this amount of energy at approximately 4 TPS. I sure hope they find a solution soon.
4548  Economy / Economics / Re: Who controls the market? on: October 17, 2018, 10:57:56 PM
I doubt even the whales have control over the market. In fact, no one can control it. It can though be influenced by entities, institutions or a person or a group. As long as crypto is decentralised, no one can and will control it.
4549  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have to make big investment before you can make profit in crypto? on: October 15, 2018, 04:09:15 PM
Well, you can even invest 10$ in some coin and still profit on trading (or just by holding or participating in ICOs) but the profit is minuscule. You can definitely start with small amount but the profit is directly proportional to it--smaller, for small capital, vice versa.
4550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is altcoin worth investing? on: October 12, 2018, 07:29:02 AM
Alts are still worth investing. If you look at it on a long term perspective, alts are bound to appreciate. Of course, provided that the one you are investing in has a strong team and a very outstanding concept. There are many alts like this on the top 1-50 of cmc.
4551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum fail if Vitalik dies? on: October 12, 2018, 07:22:32 AM
Probably not. The situation will be similar to bitcoin--satoshi is not yet known (almost equivalent to being dead) but it is stull functioning how it should be. In retrospect, Ethereum has one of the most active developers and maybe, just maybe, if Vit dies, it would spark a new revolution in crypto.
4552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coins to shill 2018? on: October 12, 2018, 07:19:06 AM
I'm holding EXRN right now. Extremely undervalued atm and the team is very hardworking. You might want to check it out, it has no ICO and 70% or all the tokens were airdropped. The concept of it is like neo-gas but it would be much efficient.
4553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How Far are we from the bull run on: October 11, 2018, 12:18:11 AM
I doubt we would reach the previous ATH this December. I don't even think it will reach $10k this year. IMO, we might see it happening next year; the market is fine as it is--slow and steady.
4554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problems cryptocurrency will face in the near future? on: October 11, 2018, 12:11:43 AM
Most of the cryptocurrency now has scaling problems. If it is struggling now with present population in this crypto space, what more if more people joined in  after 5 years? Besides, there is the issue of mining that is more power consuming than bank operations.
4555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today`s bitcoin market is pretty quite slow! on: October 10, 2018, 11:56:09 PM
Even if the market is slow, the price is still at a good point. I think this is not bad but giving the price will be stable even for a moment.
In retrospect, the price now is still higher compared last year. So anyone who bought then is still at a profit if they managed to hold until now (or sold on january and bought in again when it dumped).

IMO, slow pace is the right way for mass adoption. It insinuates a more healthy environment for mosy people who want to join in this space but is scared because of the volatility.
4556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: October 10, 2018, 12:29:18 PM
Ripple will not be the next bitcoin. The reason being, the former is centralized and the latter is decentralised. In terms of utility, XRP is still lacking since it is just best to used with bank related transactions. As for bitcoin, it is versatile.
4557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of trader are you? Active? HODLer? Somewhere in between? Why? on: October 10, 2018, 12:15:48 PM
I trade occasionally, like once a week or every other day depending on the price. I'm not particularly sure how I classify. Maybe you could call this swing trading. My reason being, prices are much easier to differentiate with long time intervals of trade.
4558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Yahoo Japan to Launch Crypto Exchange on: October 10, 2018, 12:07:49 PM
Yet another good news toward mass adoption. To add to it, a cryptocurrency friendly country, Japan, will be launching it. Hence, we can expect great things from it.
4559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More people More volatility on: October 09, 2018, 08:41:07 AM
Having more people in this space does not necessarily mean that volatility will increase too. The market will remain divided into two--seller and buyer-- at any given instant. The buying power is also not the same for everyone.
4560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did we get what we asked for - less Bitcoin volatility? on: October 09, 2018, 08:21:38 AM
Dunno about the others but I still think that the price right now, having less volatility and at a lower level compared last year, is the best possible situation right now. Bitcoin's price needs to grow "organically" so investors new to this market will have more chance to stay since it has become more newbie friendly.
