4545  Economy / Economics / Re: China to overtake the Us as the largest global economy by 2028? on: December 29, 2020, 06:47:02 AM
Over the past 20 years, China has made a significant breakthrough in economic development! I am sure that China will be able to overtake the U.S. economy... By the way, one of the theories about COVID is that it emerged just to influence the Chinese economy...
4546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Massadoption - Is it ready? on: December 28, 2020, 08:27:44 AM
Of course bitcoin is not ready for mass use! It's hard to imagine how the mempool would be full of transactions if even a few percent of people started using bitcoin! And what commissions will have to be paid... No, massadoption is still a long way off!

4548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 27, 2020, 05:45:30 PM
Liverpool are already leading 1-0. It could be a big result, but I'm also not surprised if it stays 1-0 or maybe 2-0. Save strength for the other matches. In England they continue to play football.
Liverpoo is the leader, as are the Spurs in today's matches... I have no doubt that these teams will win tonight! Although the Premier League often surprises this season... Wink
Tomorrow will probably be an interesting match between Everton and Chelsea! Roll Eyes
4550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixers on: December 27, 2020, 10:42:27 AM
Mixers are really not needed anymore. If you want to mix your coins, simply register with any exchange, send your coins to them, create a new wallet, and withdraw your coins from the exchange to that wallet. Bam! Your coins are now untraceable.

If we act on the plan proposed by you, it is better to buy XMR to transfer between exchanges... In case of BTC they can trace you anyway... And if you made suspicious purchases in Darknet, then exchanges at least can block your funds...
4551  Other / Off-topic / Re: Covid is fud on: December 27, 2020, 07:54:37 AM
This is really enjoyable to see topics like these when people are working day and night to keep others safe, nurses working every second, doctors not being able to hug their kids , people dying of starvation and we enjoying the warmth of Christmas and just have to do nothing but *sit inside*

FUD ?
COVID is FUD?
First if let me tell you what it is : It's a Virus which was uncontrollably spread, I do believe that the Chinese authorities thought just like you. They even tried to shush the people to keep quiet about this outbreak.

Millions of people have died and a lot of them are suffering. Virus mutated in the UK, it did happen back in India but it died on its own. The people with diseases , chronic disease are dying. People who are immuno- compromised , they are scared for your lives every single day.

COVID is a Virus which might not affect you or me much , maybe it will be as normal as a common cold for se but for most of the people it's a havoc , people have died because of this Virus, I can clearly give you a case history of 7 of the people that were close to me who died during this pandemic.

It's not a marketing strategy.
It's not a joke.
Uk is far from getting okay with the new mutated form.
Do one thing please : Take the vaccination!
Secondly: If you cannot really respect the essential workers, doctors , nurses , medical students, your friends with medical problems, your grandparents, at least don't say things like that. It sends a bad message to other people. Might even influence some of the kids.

Be responsible.

The rich people of this world benefit from you thinking the way you wrote your post! If COVID wasn't FUD, you and I just wouldn't know about it! We wouldn't be told about its dangers by all the media around the world!
I'm not saying that the virus doesn't exist, I'm just saying that it's all a planned action, and that people are being made into a flock of sheep!

4552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 26, 2020, 08:07:29 PM
Leicester vs ManU was a very interesting match... Also today I was pleasantly surprised by the Arsenal game... I didn`t expect that they can beat Chelsea, but home field helped them to cope with the opponent and score a lot of goals! Cheesy I wonder how many goals Man City will score? Grin
4553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Trading can be considered as Gambling? on: December 26, 2020, 01:00:43 PM
In gambling, you are gambling against a casino, and the odds of winning are not great, especially when it comes to the long term, where the player always loses in the end... The same can be said for trading, where you play against the algorithms of the exchange, and in the long run a few percent of traders can make money!
4554  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will Bitcoin trend at this time? on: December 26, 2020, 12:14:03 PM
Some people believe that we have entered a new phase of a growing market that could last into 2021... However, it seems to me that after the parabolic growth of bitcoin, we may soon see a bear market... Many people compare the latest growth to 2016, but it reminds me more of 2017, after which we were in a downtrend for several years!
4555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin's fees overpriced? on: December 26, 2020, 11:25:58 AM
When transferring BTC from a personal wallet, the cost of the fee depends on the mempool... Now mempool is not busy, and transaction cost is about $0.1... But when transferring BTC from exchanges commission is unreasonably expensive regardless of mempool... For example on Binance it is 0.0005 BTC or about $12.5 at the moment...
4556  Economy / Economics / Re: David Rosenber: Bitcoin is in a 'massive bubble' on: December 26, 2020, 10:37:27 AM
snip~
This is not correct reasoning... Just look at the dotcoms bubble, which burst just like the Bitcoin bubble in 2017... Some companies like Google, Amazon, eBay and so on have recovered and grown in value... About the same situation we see now with Bitcoin! Wink
I am talking about the bitcoin not cryptocurrency in general, so you can't call the dump as bubble burst because no one can deny that prices recovered faster in no time compared to the big companies you are talking and still no end to be seen for that recovery.

It has nothing to do with the recovery time... There are certain phases of the market that can last for years or decades, but the cycles do not change from the duration! So bitcoin burst in 2017 and recovered in 2020!
And I'm sure another bubble burst and another recovery awaits us... Just look at the chart to see how many bubbles there were...

Wink

Expert economist doesn't mean he is right with all their predictions and basically it is too hard for many of the economist to a fastest growing assets like bitcoin because they need time to get used to the conditions. I am following one of a popular economist in my native language he is very good in making analysis and giving investment ideal about traditional investments but still he says that bitcoin is created using computer so we shouldn't trust with our money. Cheesy

Maybe he's partly right? Because bitcoin at any price will do its tasks... And bitcoin's original purpose, in my opinion, is to transmit value...
And speaking of the bubble, economists are right too... For example, the 2017 bubble... Now we are on the cusp of a new bubble...
IMO Wink
Well once bubble popped it won't regain its previous position but bitcoin managed to reach new all time high prices after every bearing trend is making it different from bubble.

This is not correct reasoning... Just look at the dotcoms bubble, which burst just like the Bitcoin bubble in 2017... Some companies like Google, Amazon, eBay and so on have recovered and grown in value... About the same situation we see now with Bitcoin! Wink
