4541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $1 million this cycle really possible? on: April 26, 2021, 11:40:47 PM
Im one of the more bearish speculators or traders on here, Im always looking for a pullback but a one million cycle is possible however you put yourself this year it can happen eventually.   The problem with any larger target, it wont happen in isolation.   So events of the last year have been unprecedented not just with a virus as that has happened before just not on this scale and so universally but most of note and related is the moves in finance which moved us so far into the next stage of dollar devaluation.   To speculate on 1 million really I expect more of this grand scale macro economic moves, I dont know the details but large moves happen not in isolation but likely alongside a general tectonic change to the worlds structure in some way.
To put it briefly lots of prices changed quite alot in the last year, BTC didnt move alone and so a big target like this also comes in a wider mass of change.

Cyrano de Bergerac (1990)

Liked that one alot at the time but never would have thought it was a serious contender for an oscar.   The Father I thought might sneak a win because it is such a contentious issue (purely my opinion I dont think of it as a winning subject), as a plain movie its so far away from traditional blockbuster.  It is a play more then a movie really, but either way its very well done and I dont disagree with the award especially with Hopkins who rarely does a poor effort whatever he is handed.
I dont see Oscars as political but its nothing new they will always have a greater theme to their awards, if that isnt there then people can be upset the film content itself is not judged purely.
4543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: April 26, 2021, 11:16:05 PM
I would think twice about that already, they dont subscribe to usury en masse as we are all used to now and various kinds of normal banking problems are avoided by excluding the  high leverage situation that builds up in western banks in sometimes a completely false way.   Obviously risk cannot be avoided and imo gambling is a natural instinct as all humans must deal with risk but I understand and respect their faith and belief in excluding various practises now common in western civilisation.   I hope they benefit from it and its some benefit to the world not to have everyone revolving around the same leveraged banking system.  Crypto is one method of alternate ledger and various countries like this also have a strong natural aversion to FIAT; I think they are natural allies to crypto tbh just not on this one sector of usage.

has a chance of going down in price so my bitcoins could be partially lost.

Its worth mulling this question over on prospects and possible price accumulation should benefits prove valid, I wonder even if BTC could go down and FUN rise to compensate for the fall in value perhaps one day but this token has usage so its not the torturous risk others seem to perceive and fear.   Really the highest utility is going to be with the biggest gamblers and so this is the scenario to consider for balance in price.   Its very nice that they made it give out immediate bonus wheel of fortune spins on purchase because that is a good plus for the little holders which is most of us.   Also alot of people dont intend to hold crypto a year, they think about a month ahead to gamble the bill money on something before its due natural leverage everyone has this; hence the market is always going to be volatile we get alot of day trippers in crypto I reckon.
4545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: April 26, 2021, 09:37:37 PM
Self control is a good point, available funds might be too tempting but ideally there is a way to self limit the daily spend for just such reasons.   Obviously some of us like to drink  while playing and what you decide early in the evening can go to pot in the small hours of the morning.   Besides that its possible to just make a mistake, the best site allows crypto of many kinds but also is perhaps offering the dollar bets which is paid for in crypto so you dont have to be doing sums to know the value.  BTC can change 10% in one day like today but thats a good thing if you already got it hence I tend to hold onto more then I need and Im used to not thinking of it as available but I appreciate the dilemma is a real one.
4546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go below $40,000 on: April 26, 2021, 05:45:42 PM
A lower price on one day isnt a reason to sell exactly, its a feature of retail markets especially or consumer end prices where people react too actively and it becomes a phenomena that prices are especially volatile and thats true of BTC I think.    We will go under 40k I will still argue that after todays 10% rise because one day down or one day up doesnt make the trend or overall reasoning.   We have enough reason to test lower prices, establish volume and then form lows.
The overall guidance you have best might be the strength of dollar which I think will spike sooner or later but in general its not getting stronger relative to BTC, its probably continuing to weaken over years but also I expect erratic disorderly markets.   That last phrase is the magic word for FED to lose their **** and extreme things happen which in the end is best summarised with further plain dollar cash value losses, more QE type action.   Its very unlikely we get 10% interest rates which would be a proper sell off in many assets including BTC I think.   Anyhow what is most important is that development in BTC and crypto overall is progressing positively, base line relies on that and froth is people getting too hype short term when its going to take 2024 or more to advance properly imo.
4547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will drop to 20k is not time to buy btc now on: April 26, 2021, 08:21:27 AM
Why does it have to move in one go to either extreme, anyone who trading on the basis they dont know everything which is most of us has to consider a buy on lows in order to avoid missing future highs.   There is a reasonable low, the point to consider now is the strength of the move which is probably around this 53k mark.   The weekly average is in this area so I would use that as easy reference we need to pass and hold that measure to keep momentum to the upside in this current recovery attempt.

20k can I dont disagree but also the way its viewed and I would expect it only as an extreme held briefly not some point to hold as a majority objective.  Just getting to 40k was my expectation this time.

GRaph shows we fell, we slowed the rate of descent and then we put in a bottom price outside the trend and rose.  Now it has prior selling volume to navigate to continue, no doubt traders will take profits several times and it wont move simply in one direction up or down.
4548  Economy / Speculation / Re: new tax rumor on crypto on: April 26, 2021, 07:47:14 AM
Thats an awful idea and in business that would put USA out of line with the rest of the world.    Obviously gains can reverse, taxes can and do have influence on markets by feedback effect with certain cost leading to selling and lower prices and ultimately less capital invested.

Ultimately on taxes you can look at the amount governments spend, they will tax you one way or another and inflation itself is a form of taxation by over production of currency to best favor fiscal budgets first and foremost.   It could be considered fairly inevitable taxes will be levied, the best implementation is always to tax business in a sector not people specifically but as BTC is exchanged globally without a central point that would be hard to do without bringing competitive disadvantage to any USA company involved.
Before Biden and about last year prior to the virus deal occurring the same rumor was there for Trump, I thought it was quite serious and would be the cause of a new low some saw coming on the charts but it wasnt that and we've been busy elsewhere.  Arguably they are still distracted elsewhere I dont think it passes this year if it is a thing.
4549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never go below $50,000 again on: April 25, 2021, 11:59:36 PM
Never should be a swear word lest we forget the bad temper markets assume when told you cant do this.   If theres a more profitable trade to take downwards then up, if on balance gravity is the more consistent force to consider then why wouldnt we return to lower prices when we know some can make money in either direction and will always take the profit from any trade available.

caused by the black out in China
BTC being caused a problem by one part of the world being low power is a bit worrying, Im sure its more then that but it didnt help discourage this current pullback in reason by showing something of a flaw and over reliance on one area of the world perhaps.   The lower fees now should be occurring all the time really, BTC has to advance in more then just pricing or I think it slips back having failed to make the most of the attention and potential investment.   Everything int he world is a gamble right now relatively so it helps elevate industries maybe more often avoided by the mainstream in normal times, its an opportunity not a gift because it will be taken back if not used to build better.

if you are in a rush of gambling, better use altcoins instead.
It might help the larger sites to retain some capital because of how much more difficult it is to withdraw and then in future deposit, better to just keep it the one place you know you will come back to.   The smaller and newer sites will likely suffer to a greater extent from additional discouragement.

Got some beautiful breakdown action happening in BTC.   Lets see how this day and week ends at forum time midnight but it appears to be taking in water tbh ie. a depreciating situ
I really thought it might soften and find a foothold, do the usual bounce back up.   We'll see, BTC selling is normal business but a few might not be familiar hence it needs to happen to get all acquainted.   Would be nice if we can end the month similar mood and get me some pay despite the reduced odds cant get everything perfect, dont know I can relate to any news so its just a guess and my rough take from looking at graphs.
Congrats to the Lambo winner, that is alot of tickets so deserved.   Please take the car, could even be sensible given BTC retraction we might cruise rest of the year and you can cash it in for BTC at a lower price some say autumn is a low before greater highs later.    I dont believe BTC is sincerely negative until properly testing higher prices, so my upside target was 58k  ie. fail in positive and you get a proper negative.   & mirror to that I guess 40k target downside seems fair.  So even if I got my month end price bet I'm not expecting a perfect storm but who knows weak hands can falter briefly.   Either way movement is more interesting then sideways imo.

Reserve Bank of Australia is sitting at 0.1 %
I remember they had far higher rates then most countries for a long time.   Everything is different now, the order of currencies globally is a game of musical chairs and I dont doubt the music will stop sometime.
4552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might not officially be on a bear market on: April 25, 2021, 02:41:58 PM
In pooya's chart the similar area to catch a bid would be about 40k pricing where a prior ledge exists in the pricing.     I'd advise caution for the small time player till we pass 53k but I dont disagree we can turn around largely even with a great pullback it can end and still a new high can occur.
We are on the 2 day average now, back and forth and a crossing over the weekly average is still some distance off so that too is lacking conviction to upside.   We have certainly slowed any descent and its quite reasonable to question either direction as possible now.

Just noticed one of the biggest streamers on Twitch I watch all the time is on Stake slots playing some games, pretty cool  Smiley   he is pretty funny because he always has such an attitude going on, never boring but his luck did not favor him tonight but maybe tomorrow and he is running a giveaway when in a better mood.
4554  Economy / Speculation / Re: small price correction after this bullrun on: April 24, 2021, 08:24:50 PM
You would expect institutional buyers to have stronger hands but who knows.

The big holders wont sell, they will hedge which brings in middle men to trade these contracts for difference and all kinds of varied instruments that pay out on any lower price action.   Its happening all the time in stocks and many assets and imo here too is likely; its why its really not feasible to outlaw the idea of short selling because its a natural process similar to insurance perhaps and a short is always a future buy.

We're passing the two day average and the lower section of negative pricing, weekend action is subdued but it could be the stage set for greater moves during the working week where positive action may gain traction or we fail to hold and process further down having confirmed with volume this is not a price area in demand.   My main measure is weekly average but we have halted the rate of descent to near stand still.
4555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: April 24, 2021, 08:10:17 PM
-20% is for stocks and BTC more closely resembles the commodity markets where 10% moves in a day can occur.   Its not really valid to call it a bearish market just yet, its a pullback and we'll see how it proceeds over time not just price. 50500 I think is the price I need to see it hold as a low, if we see this occur in larger bars on the graph like daily and weekly then assume you have a counter rally even if you wish to speculate a wider bear trend.

Probably a rival operation I'd guess, what better way to take out the competition make the cops look good and get some praise and kept busy filling out forms while you liberate the former customers in your now thriving establishment.   Its all nonsense because the demand is the cause not the providers especially.

Nah its moved down a little too soon, this was not ideal in the context of this contest so whats happened is the odds adjusted a fair bit just before close so now I would get 1/3 the return on my bet.   In any case I think its not going to stay under till next Friday, it will cycle up and down but I think not back down again till after a week from now.   Doesnt likely have the momentum to do it all in one go, I guess we recheck the 50 day average from the underside like falling through the ice and trying to climb back out it wont be easy but we can float up to that point hence Im not so bearish for the moment.

I was winning the '5000' prize every day for a while, not super rare.   Even on the newsletter single ticket it wasnt super rare to get imoi
4558  Economy / Speculation / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: April 23, 2021, 05:01:03 PM
Wider market has been pulling back, not sure its more serious then that.    Bear market can be called for any move more then 20% from the top but that happens really often with crypto so I dont know that idea especially carries over.
Bottom prices now are in line with an initial trend downwards, that is we have slowed previously the rate of descent while continuing down.   Now the market has decided not to resume that harsher rate of sell its some slight bullish sign and if we hold that buying may accumulate some.

Just this moment its trading above a 12hr average, try 50500 for an area to hold as a low and price action may be positively developing.
4559  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Planning New 100,000-Bolivar Bills Worth Just $0.23 on: April 22, 2021, 05:50:30 AM
First time dealing with someone most people on there would ask to personally verify not rely on the site itself.   Also judge on recent feedback mostly not just legacy, its an ok site used with caution just costs to use it.   Ideally you would build up a relationship gradually with a trading partner not rely on them suddenly for an immediate large amount, do that regularly and you should be ok with a greater amount is best method.

It will be difficult to import anything in to the country, because of this situation. So it doesn't surprises me that imported items cost more.

This applies to every country that a trade balance is required to truly import and export goods at a reasonable price.   Because oil is so difficult to process and low demand now Venezuela has lost alot of its trade and so support for its currency in addition to all the other problems.   Dollar is already an inflationary trade by the time it arrives in the country and brings its own problems but also liquidity on global scale where as the national currency has become isolated and avoided in all trade for lack of integrity.
If any loses use of currency barter becomes a better prospect for retaining value and crypto is easily better day to day for almost anyone who has to transport that value over distance.

I did the deposit claim spins, thing is you had to really start the transaction as soon as possible as on that day it was taking a while to clear anyhow.   I had hundreds of sats paid per byte and it was 4 hours by miners to confirm just initially and with a deadline I imagine some wouldn't have made it anyhow.  There was some drop in mining power so the normal lag was exaggerated , BTC does adjust but I think its upto a week to do so.

The BTC price is below 50 day average consistently for the first time this year which makes caution likely by traders and buyers, its going sideways now but I wonder if 200 day can be a worthy target for the month end price bet.   Pipe dream bet at this point but I'll look, underdog bets are always about the value possible in the improbable.
Yea I presume wobbly legs till it clambers back above 58k
