4541  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin.ag Poker for Linux on: November 07, 2015, 12:25:26 PM

I have tried WINE before and I thought its helping me but it didn't because I end up reinstalling a fresh Linux system.  Just so you know once you have wine and keep using windows with it, you can actually acquire virus. I thought it was impossible because i'm using Linux but it really can.

Anyway huskypower2015, the way to update firefox is to click Help in the menu and then About Firefox, it will scan automatically and update.
4542  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we organize a poker tournament? on: November 07, 2015, 12:18:00 PM
I don't understand this thread or anyone posting in it.

If you wanna play a poker tourny so bad why not do it on one of the existing poker sites?

I think the idea was to select the page on which such a meeting can be arranged. All visitors of this section know that there are sites where tournaments are held.

Let the user who would want to sponsor the even to create the page. This way it can attract more attention to anyone in the forum and maybe acquire more sponsor for this event.

It does sound ponzi to me.  the losing team won't get any thing even after the hard work sounds not fair still.
I would rather consider if they get a portion.

4546  Economy / Economics / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto has been nominated to receive Nobel Prize in 2016 on: November 07, 2015, 03:17:50 AM
While accepting the noble prize is good, for sure he wouldn't show up.
If he did, it would change his life forever and will never have privacy for the rest of his life.

Which derivative are you using?
I'm using ubunto studio and browser works well, maybe you have to update the browser and the flash to make it work.
4548  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we organize a poker tournament? on: November 07, 2015, 02:44:16 AM
I'd be interested as well. Poker sites support multiple players already so it must be great if one of these poker sites sponsor such event and help planing it.
4549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: November 07, 2015, 02:36:23 AM
This is the time when those who regret buying the bitcoin will start to regret more now that it start to rise again and may reach $500+.
I even regret that I've lost some of mine thru gambling.
4550  Economy / Gambling / Re: After losing all your Bitcoin on: November 06, 2015, 10:34:17 AM
Am I the only person here that feels relieved when they lose all their Bitcoins due to gambling ? I don't have to deal with the constant planning and dreaming in my head that maybe this time I will recoup my losses. I find that I also sleep like a baby afterwards.

You will more then likely won't have that feeling anymore when people make shitload of profit after 5-10 years , you can trust me on this .
On the other hand , it's also your fault because you gambled . You should know that nothing good comes out from gambling .

I don't have that Bitcoin will rise to $1000s view Im pessimistic about the situation and more likely that Bitcoin will be taken over by the governments if it gets too profitable.

I don't think they can do that. Its built to be decentralized so  the government  probably have to create their own. They probably can't figure where to start.
4551  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: November 05, 2015, 01:40:48 PM
If bitcoin can be tracked then there wouldnt bne reason why we use bitcoin. some of us here uses btc for anonymity purposes. And people like it that way.

4554  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you calculate before deciding to Fold or Call? on: November 05, 2015, 11:49:35 AM
You do not need calculation in poker, its just knowing that you have a weak or good hands. Besides in online poker you have a time wether to call or fold. So, probably you do not have much time to calculate

You need to evaluate from the previous step in the game to see what cards others might have, then take the decision accordingly. If others bluff, you can call.

its not like you as a player can see the facial expression of your opponent that you can tell whether a player is bluffing.  the only clue i can thhink of is when everyone else folds, then most probably all ours cards are worth folding.
4555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum to start on trading on: November 04, 2015, 06:26:57 PM
exactly. keep in mind that every time you ttrade someone else is betting on the other side against you. thats sort ofd how it works.
but i still do recommend to start with about 2btc with your proven trading system.

Bitcoin trading doesn't have to be a zero-sum game any more.
The person on the other side of your trade might be hedging his long position, it could be somebody using bitcoin to send funds to his familiy abroad or it could be a retailer selling bitcoins he's accepted as a payment.

The more uses there are for bitcoin, the more mature and stable market we are going to have.

Good to know that. Same thing with Forex Trading?

I don't see any software to use with bitcoin actually unlike having the MT4 when it comes to Forex market. All I have seen is the BitcoinWisdom which is just fro browsers.
4556  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you calculate before deciding to Fold or Call? on: November 04, 2015, 02:30:00 PM

playing on the table is different than playing online. observing how your opponent act may help you decide. if i can see he doubts his cards, he might just have pair or so. i like it When hero call wins.
4557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game you like most to play gambling on Bitcoin ?? on: November 04, 2015, 01:26:46 PM

I'm into sports betting as i'm almost sure I know who to bet and cxan only blame the athlete not the game script of the website. I already lose half. my earnings thru poker so i might not try that fort now maybe not until i wanted to give away btc.

4559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Assembling a computer with GPU for mining on: November 04, 2015, 12:49:55 PM
Mining bitcoin isn't profitable but altcoins can be. AS far as I know most of the solo miners don't go into bitcoin because of the hashrate and the equipment needed. They'd rather go for other coins.
4560  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRAAASSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH on: November 03, 2015, 09:53:27 PM
It must just be a test it COULD retrace back this time and reach more than what is expected.  once it creates a channel there it could go up and I assume we can still buy more and go short once it reaches 500+
