How much time do updates take to go from Beta to the official wallet? I've seen a blog article in December 2018 about supporting Ethereum without using MEW, and apparently, that's still not available?

If this is related to the fact that you don't want to go through KYC, I suggest using Bitonic. I've used them multiple times and I didn't have to go through any verification (while selling).
It's also very fast compared to other exchanges, If done before noontime you should have the money in your bank account the same day (depends on your bank speed of processing payments).

There is Virwox... but personally I would suggest trading with individuals around the forums If you want to avoid the high fees. I've been doing that for some time and never ran into problems, just make sure you choose the right people.

The only exchange I'm aware of is Cobinhood, but there isn't much liquidity, and not many coins are listed there. So basically unless you're going to use it for BTC/ETH and BTC (or ETH)/USDT, you won't find it much useful.

aside from that buying hardware wallets may be better but one should not only focus on having one wallet to put all eggs. Cold wallets or online wallets may still be vulnerable to hacks but these cold wallets are better than exchange wallets.
Well OP, how much does a cold or hardware wallets costs? I am interested to buy one. LOL.
A cold storage wallet (offline) such as paper wallets are free basically (just printing) but fragile obviously, they're also not that convenient to spend from. If you're interested in spending on a regular basis, a hardware wallet would be a better solution (Trezor one cost 69 EUR while Ledger is 70$). These wallets are pretty safe and the only way someone could have access is by you giving away your PIN or seed (or by not hiding it well).

If you're looking for something for desktop, then I managed to find BitTab (Windows only). You have some for Android as well but they don't look that good IMO.

Electrum is not centralized. You're connecting to servers owned by people and I don't see everyone shutting their servers just like that, and If they do, you can run your own.
If for some reason the wallet stop working in the future (due to changes in the bitcoin network for example) and the developers never update it, you could always export your private keys and import them somewhere else.
|
|
|
If changing servers didn't help then this could be related to the amount you're trying to spend and it being too small.

You could trade your BTC to Skrill or PayPal on the forums/Paxful and withdraw them to your bank account. If you're looking for exchanges to do that fast and directly, I found this from Coinbase (probably valid to other exchanges as well): My ID is from one country but I live in another
If your ID document is issued by a country other than the country you are a resident of, it may not be possible to complete ID verification at this time. We're always working on improving our verification service and hope to support your specific situation as soon as possible.
I'm not sure if that applies to you though, as you can provide a utility bill that proves your residence. Just to be on the safe side, try to give them a call or email them.

Two slightly nitpicking things: In my Firefox browser I typed and clicked enter not realising the browser was sending me to where I'd get a blank screen and connection timed out message. A workaround for this (until it's fixed from their part) is to use HTTPS-Everywhere extension.

An anti-virus won't do much as viruses are getting more sophisticated. If you want to be safe, just stop visiting shady websites and downloading random files off the internet. For backups, don't do put anything online/on the cloud. Store them in USB drives or piece of paper (seed words/ private key). It seems like they are referring to online wallets and exchanges when suggesting 2FA. You shouldn't even use these services to start with, stick to wallets like Electrum instead.

I would stay away from services like ShapeShift and Changelly just because of KYC. Atomic swaps exchanges could make crypto to crypto centralized exchanges obsolete in the future, there is Switch.network, Swap.online, and SparkSwap.com that are worth checking.

Shares in mining farms? I've never heard of such a thing unless you're referring to cloud mining which is something you should stay away from. I don't support gambling but you can invest in Bitcoin casino's Bankroll or lending. For me, the latter sound more risky as lending platforms are not really that good when it comes to protecting the borrower.

For the fee estimation, are you simply retrieving the data from bitcoinfees.earn.com because the estimation seems to be the same, or you're calculating it yourself? Regardless though, I suggest working on that because coinb.in is far more accurate and also cheaper (from experience).

Unlike importing, sweeping is basically sending the funds from the address associated with the private key to one of your Trezor/Electrum addresses. In other words, If you sweep, the private key will no longer contain funds. Trezor doesn't allow sweeping private keys directly. You can, however, achieve that by using Trezor with Electrum. If you already transferred the funds to Trezor (which is what I understood you did), there is no need to do anything else.

Am I the only one having this problem? I've plugged my Trezor and there is no USD price showing anywhere.
While sending, the textbox where I could type the USD is not there, the usual transaction history page where how much was spent/received, etc.. is also not there.

Aside from the article (which after reading, it looks pretty bias and meant to advertise TrailingCrypto) I gave you last time, it seems like there isn't much online about the service. Risks are clearly greater when someone has withdrawal API access but apparently, trading APIs are not that safe either.

There are plenty of other exchanges, there is no reason to use something that is not that known and risk your money. It's already obvious that It's a scam with the minimum deposit of 250$, and the newly registered domain name, etc... but you can read the comments on this article to see what other people say about it.
