4541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 25, 2020, 10:30:32 PM
^ I feel really bad for Joe Burrow.  Dude was absolutely balling out and on his way to a great career.  Not like it's over, but that was certainly a catastrophic injury.

Sucks complete ass about tomorrow nights game being cancelled between the Steelers and the Ravens.  I was planning to be that game but now I'm looking at the Washington Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys.  Right now Dallas is -3..I fully expect Washington to win this game, so i'll happily take +3 .
4542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next big thing in Bitcoin/Crypto? on: November 25, 2020, 10:17:17 PM
I think the next big things in bitcoin are probably lightning network and smart contracts.  Obviously the lightning network is already in progress but we are still apparently a ways away.  Once this comes to fruition, as well as the second layer, I think this will be massive for btc.  Also additional smart contract stuff.
4543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Am Emotional after seeing this Rally on: November 25, 2020, 10:13:44 PM
Im not sure if I would say any of this rally/bull run is making me emotional so to speak, but I am pretty pumped up about it because I've "been in" bitcoin for over 6 years now.  I've had a ton of friend and family call me of late, apologizing for calling me an idiot for being in it etc.  So it is kinda "emotional" in that sense.  Feels good to be right Smiley
4544  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction] 72 hours Alpen Coin Holiday Calendar - 24 days to Christmas on: November 25, 2020, 12:50:52 AM
This is cool! Well done Frank. Best of luck to everyone bidding.
4545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊[Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: November 24, 2020, 05:15:31 PM
I am beyond pumped up to watch this fight! Boxing just isn't even close to what it used to be in terms of entertainment value and of course the UFC is in large part to blame, and it just doesn't seem like there's been any heavyweights really fun to watch over the past decade or so.  Sure these are older dudes now, but still going to be so fun to watch. Tyson is going to destroy him.
4546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dose meme helps a crypto to be viral? on: November 24, 2020, 04:56:03 PM
There's absolutely no question that they can help attract investors.  One perfect example is Doge Coin.  That coin literally spun off from a Meme.  I have a buddy who literally still likes Doge because he thinks the dog is cute and it's a "fun coin" etc.  Despite the fact that I try and explain to him that it's a worthless shitcoin. Memes=advertising
4547  Other / Meta / Re: Banned / disabled login accounts..do they still receive forum emails ? on: November 24, 2020, 01:00:20 AM
What about banned and disabled login ( edit- “terminated” accounts, to use proper terminology ) do they ?
You mean locked accounts like Satoshi's and Lauda's... right?

I think they would still be able to receive the email alerts if they received the PMs if the email address remain linked to the account.

In Lauda's case, some members tried sending him PMs but it turns out they were blocked as well

It seems that Lauda's account is already blocked. I tried to send her a farewell PM but I received this error: "User 'Lauda' has blocked your personal message.". I doubt she blocked specifically my PMs lol, as we never had any fight.

But i know that banned Accounts can still change there trust list as i have seen this a few times.
Really? Wouldn't this lead to trust manipulations by some angry users who already got their accounts banned?

Exactly. My guess is terminated accounts are automatically blocked from being able to send messages to. Though like in Laudas case I could easily see them doing something so that no one would be able to send messages. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4549  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Lealana rare coins, MicroSoul, CryptoImperator - oldies but goldies on: November 23, 2020, 04:09:43 AM
Lot 2 - .02
Lot 5 - .016

I'm sorry to impose here OP, but I just wanted to make sure that this user who is newer here understands that the Microsoul coin may or may not be funded.  Personally I feel every sale of Microsoul coins on here should include this info.  (Many people had coins that had mismatched keys - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2136007.0 ).

Not saying you shouldnt buy it, to be clear, just a heads up.
4550  Other / Meta / Banned / disabled login accounts..do they still receive forum emails ? on: November 22, 2020, 11:17:07 PM
I know all to well that when you’re perma banned you still receive emails when messaged. What about banned and disabled login ( edit- “terminated” accounts, to use proper terminology ) do they ?
4551  Economy / Reputation / Re: [UPDATED] Ban-evasion by user Alamjob239/Bla2kja2k/acemax/RainbowSky [UPDATED] on: November 22, 2020, 11:13:03 PM

4552  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Question about opinion of denomination of loaded coins? on: November 22, 2020, 02:48:52 PM
Several factors for a maker to consider  .. is the coin going to have a mintage of 50 or 500? Composition..precious metal or plastic chips? Sale price..is your say 1 oz silver coin, excluding digital value, going to cost $100 or $300 ? Is the design original and unique and something many people are likely to appreciate or just something you really think would be cool and is more so a pet project?

Right now I’d say .01 is most common and desired. Not too low for whales and affordable enough for minnows like myself  Cheesy  Also, depends on who the maker is.. How well known are you in the “community”, been around very long? Do people know who you are, first and last name? If you’re relatively unknown around here higher denominations aren’t going to sell well at all.  You could be more trustworthy than Mother Theresa IRL, but if we don’t know much about the maker, not much trust history, etc, most will only be willing to buy small denominations like .001..  Check out the pinned scam coin maker list on this board and you’ll see why I say all this.  Hope this helps a little.
4553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how add security to our bitcoin ? on: November 21, 2020, 07:02:01 AM
the bigger problem with centralized services such as Coinbase as wallets is when they decide to randomly shut down accounts for whatever reason they see fit. and you have already agreed to their terms and given them permission to do such a thing even if you didn't read the ToS when you signed up. your money can evaporate just like that.

I used to call them the PayPal of crypto ( analogy doesn’t work so well anymore  ) because you’re right they will ban you for anything they see fit..their own “moral code”.

I have been banned before (bought allergy meds from a 100% legal online pharmacy) but they did let me remove my coins I had on there.  However I’ve got a buddy (a legendary/very knowledge member here) who’s coins got stolen when they locked his account. No reason for it or explanation at all.

OP- buy a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet, but make sure to only buy directly from the companies and not eBay/Amazon etc
4554  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [IDEA]Walter Moore Sketch coin on: November 21, 2020, 06:14:43 AM
Still looking forward to this project making it's way to sports minded crypto collectors.  So the first of our four coins will be the basketball, followed by hockey, baseball and not sure on the last one, maybe curling. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.

Stay well and keep safe,

The dolphin Cool Cool

If I were you guys I’d do a soccer (or “football” for the rest of the world) coin next. I don’t even like soccer all that much but it’s the most popular global sports game and if you’re looking for these to reach the largest audience possible, soccer is the way to go. Should consider US football too. My 2.

Looking forward to the release of bball!

4556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received a call/text recently from a friend/fam asking about Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2020, 03:40:40 AM
Received a call from a family member today who 2 years ago told me bitcoin was a scam. He was asking me how to properly store his bitcoin. Haters hate until they learn the truth ..bitcoin is real and here to stay.

Randomly came across this tweet today .. fitting for this convo (and is from back in August)

4557  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Crypto Art on: November 21, 2020, 02:39:49 AM
Welcome to the forum! There’s a lot of great crypto art and artists out there. Kialara.com and Cryptograffiti.com for example are two of the more popular crypto artists out there. You can also check out the list below that I made a while back. There’s a mix of coins, hardware wallets and other stuff but there’s also links to crypto art as well, just gotta do a little digging. Happy to help w/any questions if needed. Cheers
