But they do not and will not move, as all the institutional money is pouring into bitcoin. We won't see a "year of the altcoins" for a very long time, at least not before bitcoin has reached one million.
Don't be too quick to be fallacious on your conclusion that there won't be an alt season. That's not going to happen.. Every bull run has always culminated in an alts season which normally begins when the former ends. At the moment, Bitcoin is still enjoying its moment of glory as price keeps breaking new highs. That isn't to say, anyway, that a few altcoins haven't been enjoying great price movements alongside Bitcoin.

Burn your math / investing / finance and economics books if you want to invest in crypto
That actually got me rolling on the floor, literally. That's true because none of those conventional learning teach stuff outside planned expectations. Crypto is nothing close to that. It's as erratic as they come. The most important thing investing in crypto apart from DYOR is, "the psychology of the mind". Having a mastery of one's emotion is key to surviving in the crypto industry. This is why I laugh at those who invest a few dollars whine because the tokens they just bought are going down in price. The simple logic in crypto is "buy and forget", which in the right parlance is " hodling". It's a bad sign to constantly monitor charts because one is in a hurry to sell off. Don't risk money you can't afford to lose. Again, never treat crypto investment as a get rich quick scheme.

Basically, there's no perfect code dude but the problem is people lack of knowledge about how to analyze the possibility for the creator of smartcontract to put the rugpull or selfdestruct function on its smartcontract.
Put a self destruct function on its smart contract? Wow! This is a new one and it's getting scary with this. I know of the rugpull stunt and with devs scampering away with funds but the self destruct angle will definitely have to stand out as the most wicked of thoughts. That's why i was seeing the smartcontract before try to invest in a new project.
Please, I will like to learn how to find this out myself. I will appreciate any tutorial on this from you (or any other person).

Well, welcome to the club. There's always a first time to everything, scamming inclusive. What we should always hope on is for the first time not to be too much to wipe off our life savings. It's the price everyone pays for refusing to listen to their inner man. I had mine in 2017 when I started out in the crypto world as a noob. I saw the signs but chose to ignore them. Of course, even in your case, there were pointers to what gave the site away as fraudulent but you were in a haste to invest without doing your due diligence. I hope you've learnt a thing or two from that incidence. Move on.

I really want to know about how i can get legit and good airdrops. There are too many scam projects and its really difficult to find legit project. I missed 1inch airdrop infact i did not find any announcement regarding this and suddenly last night i see a post about it. So i feel bad but cant do any thing.
Airdrops are fast becoming faucets in the post 2017 era — a mere waste of time. I have participated in a lot of airdrops but nothing good came out of them. The teams will always find a way to deny participants the drops. The few airdrops that work are those airdropped to one for holding a particular token or for having an account with an exchange. Otherwise, the promise of airdropping tokens to people is fast becoming an easy scam that is getting unnoticed.

People say Bitcoin is volatile, I tell them not to conclude yet until they've had a moment with ETH gas fees. It's really crazy, honestly, to say the least. I have had an ETH transaction hung for several days because of this said fluctuations in gas fees. I remember with sadness when I used to pay 6 Gwei as gas in 2019. Now, a similar transaction of that magnitude would go for over 50 Gwei. With the way things are with ETH gas fees, I think it's still a miracle that Ethereum is still soaring in price. Well, may be sooner than later this effect will set in now that CZ Binance has a smart contract in BSC that can challenge the ERC. Yah, I know a lot of people will argue that BSC is centralized with its attendant consequences while ETH is decentralized. Even at that, is that why the community must go through hardship because it wants to process through ETH?

I have bought a few tokens through the BSC though I haven't cashed out on them. Still waiting to see what ROI they will give. Most of the tokens on the BSC seem to be doing well a lot, at least when one checks the historical data on them. So, I believe that's what is causing the hype and rush. But this scam and deceit thing isn't exclusive to the BSC. Metamask also has its own share.
At the moment, there's a token I am holding on the BSC. There's a lot of skepticism around it, whether it has been abandoned or not by the dev and team. But I ain't letting that worry me at the moment as I keep tap on it. Remember, there's always that caveats — Don't risk money you can't afford to lose. That's the mindset I adopt whenever I make any crypto investment. It's a 50-50 thing.

By the way, maybe it is delayed due to blockchain confirmation. You can check it on Blockchain explorer. If it is alright, then you may mistake something or you sent your funds to wrong address which not belongs to ACR.
Nope, it wasn't a mistake. OP already said it was confirmed on the blockchain. In simple term I think what happened was the ACR site receiving the Bitcoin in the wallet they issued to OP but haven't updated OP's account at the time. This happens all the time one makes a transfer to a trading site — Forex and Binary trading sites inclusive. It's really nothing to worry about. I write from experience. It should be sorted out.

Why should I? you are the one who called it as HECK you stupid one? and in CORRECT English ? as if you are a literal english speaker ?
Get a Life you and Pay respect to our religion , I don't know what have you do in your dead people , but ours ? they are most respected and the emotion is indeed deep.
I don't know why you're so insinuative over a harmless post as that. Could it be that you make a living from funerals and you felt threatened by my post that someone was about to take the feeder off your mouth? Well, I merely expressed a concern and asked others for their opinions concerning that and didn't go past that line. Whatever your fancies are, they're yours and shouldn't be imposed on others. And for the fact that someone didn't agree with what you think shouldn't amount to name dropping. You talked about religion there whereas it's tradition that's in question. If it were religion, I liked for you to cite such from a religious book. Again, you may want to learn how to express yourself in simple but correct English. Now, go get a life!

I will keep this short, we all know how month of March do not favour bitcoin at all, bear market started ending of February and today is the last day of February, hope the market will not still go downside? I do fair the month of March because bitcoin and generally all cryptocurrencies do suffer in price declination during this time.
What you think this coming month (March) will bring?
What particular year of the month of March are you alluding to that Bitcoin had suffered dump? Is it March of every year? If that's what you mean then it's not correct because March of 2020 Bitcoin was already in a downward slope before then. Except you're harbouring an element of superstition, otherwise there's nothing spectacularly doomsday about March. You can talk of December and that would make a much clearer prediction as investors are worth to take profit every December for festive activities thereby causing the market to slump.

Has Tesla and some other multinational companies not been accepting Bitcoin as payment option for their services? That's nothing new again as it's already in place. However, being an international currency doesn't still mean every country will be comfortable using it. You know, I was taken aback when I discovered that even the British pounds sterling isn't an internationally accepted currency as against the widely accepted US dollar. Nonetheless, companies accepting Bitcoin on a large scale will further legitimize the crypto industry. I'm all for anything that gives Bitcoin a boost. That's all.

Is there a thing with Bitcoin and the Warrens? I'm beginning to suspect a kind of an unholy romance. First, it was with Warren Buffet, and now Elizabeth Warren ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) On the other hand, I think Madam senator's comment should be taken with a pinch of salt and likened to the same comment that came out of the mouth of the erratic and inept Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. These are drowning voices. Bitcoin has come to stay and it's as simple as it can be audible. Anything that couldn't destroy it in 2018/19 has made it stronger now.

She was destined to lead the WTO as circumstances holding her down all gave way to selection that will last a 4 year term.
Yes, I strongly concur that Dr Iweala's appointment at the WTO is destiny at play. For whatever selfish reasons Donald Trump refused to support her was broken by the newly elected administration of Joe Biden. Iweala's case reminds me of a popular proverb in Nigeria — When God blows your whistle, my brother even if you tie wrapper you go play for the match. Sorry for the non pidgin speakers, translating that proverb will cause it to lose its import. You see? When people make this claim for the male child being superior to the female child in Nigeria, I just laugh at their ignorance. The best any parent can do for their children is to give them the kind of education that will properly situate them in the body of modern demand. Simple! Now I ask — Who are Dr Iweala's brothers? I don't even know the husband's name, let alone her brothers. It's the same with Oby Ezekwisili and late Dora.

Really the news is everywhere but as a second in command he won't have allows Central bank of Nigeria CBN Governor to to make such announcement via cryptocurrency, crypto is now backsliding in Nigeria because of such announcement while vice president is not in support of restricting banks to transact with cryptocurrency to extends trying to ban bank accounts that transact with crypto. The worrisome thing, to be honest, about Vice President Yemi Osibanjo is that dude is only looking out for his own good and belle. He doesn't want to rock the inept Buhari led APC government that he's a part of even when they are in the obvious wrong. For instance, what stopped him as a professor of law from speaking out immediately that ban was announced by the moronic CBN. It took him three whole weeks to find his tongue. That doesn't sound brave, does it? These are some of the things you don't find in the western democracies — cowardice.

looking at the chart i see 42-42k region as a strong support but if we close below this region then we might be in for a long to the 30k region. such is how market behaves so anyone who is happy about moon should also be expecting the dip. please give your views about the current market situations in terms of being bullish or bearish.
Even if we go to the 30k region, we can still be bullish as there may be a strong support to bounce back there. The only problem Bitcoin will have at that level is if it dives and loses grip of its hold on the market dominance. Once that begins to happen it will mean the alts are beginning to have more cash inflow to them and that's when the alts season starts and Bitcoin retraces to the down slope. But if Bitcoin goes up and alts go up, it's all good. If Bitcoin goes down and alts go down, it's still all good. However, if Bitcoin goes down but alts stay up then there's a change in control. ATM, Bitcoin's dominance is at 60.1% and that shows we are still in the bull run.
|
|
|
Guidance from old Experts would be appreciated!
Use Bitcoin market dominance as your compass. Once its dominance begins to dip into mid 50%, you should become skeptical going long on Bitcoin. However, the way things are ATM, we are still good on the bull. Remember also that the alts season hasn't begun. We get to see alts rally once Bitcoin lets off its hold on the market dominance. Alts begin to flourish when Bitcoin tends to be exhausted as investors take out profit from their Bitcoin investment and plunge them into alts or withdraw them out of the crypto space. ATM, Bitcoin dominance is still good at 59%+.
