It must have been hard for you to share your story but thank you since it might help others who share this same disease with you.
The dice sites are to be played only for entertainment and not with hopes and aspirations of wealth.
To lose 50,000$ would make me go insane and my wife would divorce me in a heartbeat!  You are lucky she still loves you.
4542  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: March 12, 2019, 09:16:09 AM
Well considering that we live in a male dominated world, this is not of much surprise to me.
Based on world stats alone, men tend to have higher paying jobs and therefore earn more money that they can invest.
As men we are risk takers and it goes back to the caveman days.  This 79% number does not surprise meat all.

Tough to tell if this is a legit project or not but when you see a 150% increase in a bear market, flags may be raised.
Those who invested in this coin early on are certainly reaping those benefits and congrats for that.
Dont be surprised if you see a sudden dump and this coin tanks in value.

4545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ernst & Young Launch Tool for Filing Crypto Taxes on: March 11, 2019, 06:48:28 AM
As I learned early on, it is much wiser to have someone who's profession is dealing with taxes to do yours. They know the ins and outs and we don't.

You might be right but not everyone has the financial liberty of being able to afford a professional.
For those that dont, tools like this are very beneficial.
4546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This forum has so many gambling addicts on: March 11, 2019, 06:45:31 AM
Khmm
You are wearing a casino signature Smiley
Got a nice chuckle out of this one.  I think the best way to separate yourself from gambling is to avoid this forum entirely.
There will be people who claim this forum doesnt contribute to their habit but I would beg to differ.
4547  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: March 11, 2019, 06:42:44 AM
Your whacked out of your skull if you think BTC will lose its value this year- I think this is what the thread is about.
Could another coin like ETH surpass the BTC market value- unlikely not but entirely out of the question.
4548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 146: Lewis vs Dos Santos Prediction and Info Thread on: March 10, 2019, 06:59:48 AM
Wow Junior dos Santos looked impressive as hell!
Talk about making an impression vs a fighter who typically does not get defeated in that way.
Congrats again to the Brazilian and hopefully he gets a title shot soon.
4549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LERN TO TRADE BITCOIN FOR DAY TRADERS on: March 10, 2019, 06:56:31 AM
Day trading crypto is almost a guanteed bad idea.
Granted there are a select few that (claim) they can be successful day traders but fact of the matter is that trading crypto is much different then day trading stocks or commodities.
Just dont do rather hold on to your coins.
4550  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You The INTELLIGENT Cryptocurrency Investor? on: March 10, 2019, 06:53:13 AM
Sadly no I do not consider myself a intelligent investor.
If more of a impulsive investor where as if there is some big news or a sudden surge in Bitcoin price I find myself
adding to my stack.  This has not faired me too well but I’m being honest
4551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will an increase in bitcoin price affect the gambling industry on: March 09, 2019, 10:03:52 PM
Yes it does and in fact I think gambling industry is effected by the cost of Bitcoin transactions.
For example, someone may be more inclined to send their BTC if the cost is 1 Satoshis/vbyte | 0.00001 BTC/KvB
However, if the price is high such as 50 Satoshis/vbyte | 0.00050 BTC/KvB, then people may not be in such a hurry to send their BTC to a Casino.

New Crypto Hardware Wallet Fits Your Phone’s SIM Card Slot

U.S.-based startup VaultTel has launched a tiny cryptocurrency hardware wallet that sits in the SIM tray on mobile phones.

The firm announced Tuesday that the wallet solution combines an app and the VaultTel Intellichip card to store cryptocurrency private keys on mobile devices, using biometric authentication and “military grade” encryption to keep the funds safe.

The card can be placed in the SIM card slot of dual-SIM Android mobile phones, or can be used with a dongle accessory on iPhones, VaultTel said.

The biometric authentication feature ensures that only the phone’s owner can transfer funds from the wallet, VaultTel explains on its website. “More than that, no spy screen recorder or Trojan can record what is happening on your hardware wallet, as it’s a not using your laptop or system resources,” the firm adds.

The wallet is available for pre-order with two options: an Android package at a cost of £75 ($98) and an iOS package at £100 ($131), the website indicates.

The Intellichip uses the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 512 to securely store data and also has optional features such as being able to restrict wallet access to a particular device and “geolock,” which constrains access to a particular geographic area.

VaultTel further said that it has implemented the latest bitcoin standards for the product, including Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) 39 for mnemonic seeds and BIP44, which allows for HD (hierarchical deterministic) wallets. Users can back up their wallets on other VaultTel cards.

The product has now launched for the U.S. market and is expected to be made available “immediately” in European countries through VaultTel’s U.K. subsidiary.

The use case for securely storing cryptocurrencies on mobile phones is fast taking off, with a flurry of launches occurring in recent months.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy S10, is to feature a hardware enclave within the phone that is aimed to protect wallets on the device from hacking. Sirin Labs’ blockchain phone also features a built-in hardware wallet.

However, none so far have taken the form factor that would fit a device’s SIM slot. If you want to go really small, you can also get a chip that will store crypto keys that can be inserted under your skin.
4553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is the best place to learn how to play Poker online? on: March 09, 2019, 09:56:07 PM
Just a warning that since poker has become so popular in recent years with events being on TV, there are also a lot more professional players.
If you are just getting into poker right now for fun, then I hope you learn the tricks of the trade and enjoy the new sport.
However if you are trying to make serious money, your odds might be stacked against you since others have more experience in playing poker.

4555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After long break I started constant betting and this is what happen today? on: March 08, 2019, 09:11:15 PM
Gambling is a horrible disease so if you dont feel compelled to go back to it then dont.
Similar to an alcoholic who drank for many years and decided to stop to better his health.
If one day that alcoholic decided to potentially relapse, like him you need to think about how the positives outweigh the negatives of your addiction.
Stay strong and dont let anyone else persuade you into doing what you know is the wrong thing for you ideally.

4557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Get Rich Quick - Bitcoin on: March 07, 2019, 07:22:36 PM
Ive learned that there is no such thing as a get rich quick in crypto.
Anything promising get rich overnight more then likely a scam and is not to be taken seriously.
If crypto was really a get rich quick scheme, I think that more people would have exited knowing they already made the maximum potential.
4558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People who gamble are degenerates, change my mind. on: March 07, 2019, 07:12:22 PM
That is a very harsh statement and you may find yourself offending some people considering the demography you posted to.
You might as well go to the Economics section and claim how much of a scam Bitcoin is and how we should all sell  Roll Eyes
I have a work mate who comes in often late on Mondays.  The ongoing joke in the office is that he had a "rough night at his Sunday office" as in he lost a lot of money the night before.
This is a degenerate even if hes a nice man he lets gambling dictate his mood which in return effects others.

4559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever exist in currency notes? on: March 07, 2019, 07:01:15 PM
Bitcoin was introduced to solve all the issues that we have with physical fiat currencies and  now you are speculating whether we are going to have a paper form of Bitcoin. Anyway i don't think this is a good idea and i know most folks in here would agree with me. Transaction in digital currencies is very safe and fast so there is no need to create physical forms of cryptocurrencies
Agree with this statement 100%.  One of the main points for BTC was to eliminate any physical handling of monies so I see no purpose in going against that thought process.
I think it would defeat the purpose of the concept and technology of BTC if they started printing it.
Sure its ok to have crypto collectibles but dont think they will ever be accepted as legal tender as a cash transaction.
4560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to buy real estate for bitcoins in the future. on: March 07, 2019, 06:54:08 PM
Since it sounds like you are going to be making a large Bitcoin purchase, you might want to consider a country that is very Bitcoin friendly-
https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/041515/countries-where-bitcoin-legal-illegal.asp

Legal Tender:
US, Canada, Australia, Finland, Belgium, Cyprus, UK, Bulgaria, Germany
Moving to any other country and you could run the risk of losing your Bitcoin or being heavily taxed.
