4541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin sections to join. Dont waste your time with others on: March 22, 2020, 05:19:14 PM
Emirex exchange is a well funded exchange that's why it's doing so well, they did some give aways weeks ago and they distribute huge money to participants, it was cool, that's all in the past now I hope we will see more good bounties this coming months, gotta take the advantage of Bitcoin halving

I would regard it as a safe campaign, since they already have a finalized product (the cryptocurrency exchange). I took part in the TowerBee exchange bounty program a couple of years back, and it turned out to be a good one as well. Just check the trade volumes and user feedback for Emirex, and if everything is in order, then I think that you can participate in the bounty program.

BTW, the Emirex Token is already listed on a few exchanges such as HitBTC and Coinsbit, and therefore I would give it a green signal.
4542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin for coronavirus on: March 22, 2020, 05:11:12 PM
I think people not affected are taking the Coronavirus matter lightly by creating a joke around it. It is no laughing matter and people should be serious around it. The virus is crashing the strongest economy and killing people in thousands. So it is not a thing to play around with.

These dimwits are tarnishing the image of the cryptocurrency sector. Are they this much retarded? More than 14,000 people have died from COVID 19 so far, and they should understand that this is no laughing matter. The European countries didn't took the outbreak seriously during the initial phases. And now see where that took them to. No one in their right mind would do something like this.
4543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 22, 2020, 05:04:06 PM
^^^^ Well... I think I have already posted about this. IPL during Q3/Q4 2020 is very unlikely. There are two reasons:

1. It won't be good to conduct IPL 2020 during Q3/Q4 2020 and then have the IPL 2021 a few months later during Q1/Q2 2021
2. Many of the bilateral tours, including large number of matches from the 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship are supposed to be played during this time. Both IPL and WTC can't go simultaneously, as the players will be forced to chose one out of these options.
4544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: March 22, 2020, 04:58:20 PM
Adsists media just handled a very good project which is tokoin and some others projects with potentials. I don't know what happened with them , they just vanished abruptly. It is sad to see bounty is now slowly dying and those reputable bounty group have shut downed, this only means that ICO,STO, any form of project advertisement are no longer that popular for investors as they are afraid to get scammed.

You should closely follow the Telegram bounty channels. Sometimes what happens is that when the bounties fail one after the other, the admins would just sell their Telegram channel to some scammer. Then the scammer will use the channel (many of them would be having tens of thousands of users) to promote his scams. If you notice something like this, then don't hesitate to report the channel and quit the membership.
4545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk PSL T20 Pool and discussion. on: March 22, 2020, 04:52:31 PM
They just had 3 matches remaining. The tournament was going really well. After a long gap, quality cricket was being played in front of Pakistani fans and they were really enjoying it. The matches were of the topmost quality and we saw the emergence of many future stars in the due course. And just when we thought that we had a great tournament, mishap comes in the form of COVID 19. All that comes to my mind now is the phrase "Man proposes, but God disposes".
4546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: March 22, 2020, 04:46:47 PM
There is no point in comparing an exchange coin with a full-fledged smart contract platform. Ethereum is the king of altcoins and no other coin would come even close in terms of technology, adoption and acceptance. Just because Binance is a big exchange right now, we can't say that their coin would also be one of the largest cryptocurrencies. BNB is relatively young, and have miles to go before it can offer meaningful competition to ETH.
4547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: March 22, 2020, 04:40:10 PM
Corono Virus has a huge effect specially on physical gambling casinos because here in my country they are implementing social distances.
However COVID19 only have minimum effect in online gambling specially because they are using cryptocurrency.

There are still casino gamblers that are not aware of the existence of Cryptocurrency based online casinos because they are concentrated on gambling physically that they are not aware of its existence, and the data could be higher but this time is the best opportunity to invite them to play online using Cryptocurrency.

Ambiance is a big thing for many of the gamblers. And in addition, they would like to show off. All these things won't be there, if they sit at home and gamble using cryptocurrency. I would disagree with you on one thing. I am pretty sure that most of the gamblers have a good idea about Bitcoin. Because it was extensively covered by the mainstream media in 2017. The question is only about the preference.
4548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 22, 2020, 04:33:53 PM
You guys need to be patient. This was the same sentiment we had in 2014/15 and even in 2018. A lot many of the analysts and experts had written off cryptocurrency back then. But it came back strongly. If you remember, those who invested in 2015 got almost 100x returns by 2017 December. Even those who invested in 2018 got more than 4x returns in a few months. Just be patient, and another pump may be just around the corner.
4549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 22, 2020, 04:23:50 PM
Just now I checked the schedule for the 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship, and was surprised to see that no matches were scheduled for April-May 2020. The IPL was supposed to happen during that time, and therefore the cricket boards decided not to play any bilateral matches during this period. But their calculations may get disrupted, in case IPL gets shifted to Q3 or Q4 2020.
4550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alvarez vs. Golovkin: The Trilogy we've all been waiting for! on: March 22, 2020, 04:15:52 PM
IMO, the only way Gennady Golovkin can defeat Caneolo Alvarez is through knockout. The jury is extremely biased, and they will never allow an UD against Alvarez. This has happened two times before. GGG won both the fights, but the biased judges refused to acknowledge that. My prediction is that this time GGG will knock out Alvarez, to avenge the humiliation he had last time. My only concern is his age.
4551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: March 21, 2020, 11:00:29 AM
If everyone stay at home and start to buy coins, the price will rise and they will get extra income on paper and feel more confident. And if they don't sell everything they invested later on, they indeed can make some profit in a few months

LOL... why should anyone in their right mind buy the coins now, when the economy is in meltdown? I would assume most of the users to sell whatever coins they have in their wallets, so that they can stay alive during the lockdown phase. And trust me, the upcoming block reward halving is not going to have any impact on the Bitcoin prices. We're in for a prolonged bearish phase.
4552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 21, 2020, 10:50:41 AM
No one will want to cancel their contract with IPL because of the attractive money which they get from it. I think all the players of IPL will want to play the tournament and they will wish the things to be normalize as soon as possible. If the national teams does not make it mandatory, the players will like to miss the national games for the IPL.

That's why I specifically asked about Pat Cummins. Australians are known to prioritize their national duty, above anything else (including money and personal commitments). But then, the amount I am talking about is just huge. $2.2 million is like what the respective player (Pat Cummins) would earn from his entire career playing for Australia. He can get the equivalent amount in just two months, playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

I'd just say that it is going to be very difficult decision for him. If I was in his place, then I'd chose KKR.
4553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 21, 2020, 07:46:14 AM
Some players might if IPL gets a green light (very unlikely) but big names such as Smith, Warner, Finch, Starc, Cummins, Eoin Morgan, Archer, Ben stokes, Buttler, Rabada, de cock etc are not going to join.

Not many players from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka play in IPL anyway. Only shakib and Malinga has brand value and IPL is all about BRAND. Windies players always play mercenary role here and there so its okay Grin

Out of your list, here is my prediction:

Players who would chose national duty over the IPL: Smith, Warner, Finch, Starc, Cummins, Eoin Morgan, Buttler, de cock

Players who would chose IPL franchsies: Jofra Archer, Ben stokes, Kagiso Rabada

Most of them are senior players and it will be very tough for them to chose IPL. But the same can't be said about the younger players, such as Lungi Ngidi, Josh Hazlewood, Marcus Stoinis, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Chris Lynn.

And the case of Pat Cummins will be interesting. Do you think that he'll cancel the $2.2 million IPL contract?
4554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 21, 2020, 07:39:59 AM
^^^^ The United States and India have taken necessary precautions to reduce transmission. But the same can't be said about the United Kingdom. This was a scene from the London metro yesterday:

One passenger was complaining that the metro is very crowded (since they cancelled more than 50% of the services) and a lot of people were coughing and very few of them had masks on their face. Some of the countries are still being complacent.
4555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and mental health. on: March 21, 2020, 07:09:09 AM
LOL.. this might have happened a few years ago. But I guess the investors are more mature now. Back in 2017/18, many of the investors were new to cryptocurrency and they lost up to 95% of their capital in investing in altcoins such as Cardano and Litecoin. Compared to the crash that we had in 2018 (when the prices declined from $20K to $4K), the current bearish phase is much more tolerable.
4556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 21, 2020, 07:03:20 AM
@ JSRAW, I am not very sure about that. In case the IPL is shifted to Q3 or Q4 2020, then we may witness a lot of the international (overseas) players skipping their national duty to participate in IPL 2020. I can say this with 95% surety for teams such as West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Even for teams such as Australia, around half of the players may chose the respective IPL franchise over national team.

That said, the probability of IPL 2020 occurring in Q3/Q4 is near zero. It is most likely to get cancelled.
4557  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-11] Panic Attack: Bitcoin Crashes to USD 6,000, Altcoins Bleed More on: March 21, 2020, 06:57:20 AM
Alarmists are to blame for the fact that the price of bitcoin has fallen so low. It is good that they have now come to their senses.

During Q4 2019, a lot of the users were hoarding Bitcoin, assuming that the prices will move up sharply after the Block reward halving. All these people are in deep red now, as the prices have fallen by almost 50% ($12K to $6K). Now some of these people are booking their losses, and it is further crashing the exchange rates. Alarmists and their FUD was always present here. They are not going to make much of a difference.
4558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Bitcoin useful as a currency if so few services accept it? on: March 21, 2020, 06:51:01 AM
There are a few shops that accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment, but the number is not that huge. There are multiple reasons why Bitcoin is not widely being used as a currency. A few of them are as follows:

1. Legal status of Bitcoin is still not clearly defined in many of the countries
2. Bitcoin is not a legal tender in the majority of nations
3. If shops accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment, then they will face complications when they file tax returns
4. The Bitcoin prices are very volatile and this makes accepting BTC payments risky for the merchants
5. Confirmation time can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 50 minutes, and this can cause some difficulty
4559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 21, 2020, 06:42:08 AM
Both are important for me economic stability and the health of fellow humans. I do not know what will happen if BCCI cancels IPL this year but I do know many people will lose jobs and to cover it's losses BCCI will increase fees which will in directly affect common people.

Matches can be organised without spectators  and they can be rescheduled for a later date this year.

The virus can be contained but Indians are more intrested in hiding it from the government and spreading it to others. China has successfully contained the virus within three months and India can too if the citizens collaborate with the government.

Matches can be organized without spectators: Yes. But gate collection represents more than 20% of the revenue for the franchises and they may not be happy with this idea. And don't expect the BCCI to reimburse this amount to the franchises.

Matches can be rescheduled for a later date this year: Yes. Possible. But there are practical difficulties. Monsoon season will start in two months from now and post-Monsoon, the cricketing calendar is already very crowded.
4560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 21, 2020, 06:21:17 AM
^^^ Please check this one:

China is not an exception. Similar to other countries, China was able to contain the outbreak only after it killed thousands of people. Check this:

The only countries which have successfully contained the outbreak are Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, as these countries took precautions from a very early stage. But the other countries were not that lucky. China implemented a draconian lockdown, which is not practical in other countries.
