4561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My 2 cents on: March 12, 2019, 09:39:11 AM
This is just my two cents on bitcoin gambling.

I made quite a bit of money back in December when the bitcoin price was roaring. I quit my job since then and been obsessed with bitcoin investment.

Things didn't turned out as people hoped . Bitcoin price went downhill and i started to chase my loss. How ? Yeah, as stupid as this may sound.. Bitcoin Dice sites. I have lost over $50k in past years gambling in dice sites like Primedice, Bitsler & Yolodice. My personal life was devastated with sights of depression and bad relationship with my wife.

It was almost like i was somebody else when i click that auto roll. The adrenaline was like a drug that got me high. As much as i regret quitting my job and betting high on auto roll I learnt to forgive myself.

My advice to you guys is that betting minimum on 2X with 100% increase on loss will NEVER pay your bill.

How could you ever think that you are going to earn money from gambling?
I think that the main reason that pushed you to lose your money was the fact that you resigned from your job, you didn't have any source of income and you were trying to make things right but with the wrong way.
We should always have some safety because Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are not yet established to our economy, thus there are high levels of risk.
4562  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ethereum Classic ‘Numbers’ Lotto on: March 12, 2019, 09:33:49 AM
First of all please kindly move this thread to Service Announcement (Altcoins) board since you are not accepting bitcoin payment. Just like other crypto gambling sites which has no option to play with bitcoin should not be in this board.
Selected block ID should be automatically appear on your site instead of asking players to fill it manually as typo may occur anytime.

Edited: I just tried to make a bet and it shows that there are many options to pay the bet including bitcoin. The How to play page would be better to be located on the main page so people are able to see it.

I am still trying to find the how to play button and I can't find it.
I am using this link https://coingate.com/pay/BuyTicket and it doesn't help me understand how I will be able to play the Lotto game...
4563  Economy / Speculation / Re: ??? DECISION TIME FOR BITCOIN?!?! 4k or 3.5k?!?! ??? on: March 12, 2019, 09:25:55 AM
Presently now bitcoin is on 3840+ usd which is gradually moving toward the 4k resistance as stated by you which I am also in agreement with  but I see it breaking the resistance this coming week and tend toward making 4200 its bottom which will be steal for a while before trying to test the 5k and breaking forth to 6k and finally back to 4800 for the rest of this year.

I see the bull run next year and not this year again except something exceptional beyond analysis happens since market cannot be 100% predicted.

I agree 1000%. I expect the bull run to can next year and not this one. I hate when people think that this year bitcoin is going to reach a new ATH due to the decline that happened last year.
2019 will be still a corrective year where only the true believers of the blockchain technology will stay. I see there are a lot of people on their way out to sell when the price will have some gains.
4564  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: March 12, 2019, 09:17:49 AM
If you had 10000$ where would you invest it?  I'm hoping for 10x in about 2 years, how would you personally split that money? There are so many altcoins that I dont know which to pick, I remember the top 5 altcoins from years ago and  now they are all gone, so should I only invest in  BTC end ETH or others like NEO, ADA and EOS?

Now at this time, with this market, I would invest 90% in Bitcoin and 10% in Ether. I think it is a time when it is better to make investments in the most important cryptos that can give greater security.

Wow, you will go all in in cryptocurrency, that's nice.
It is good advice though to diversify your assets in more and different industries rather than one and only. This way you minimize the risk of losing everything. For example, If cryptocurrencies will be globally regulated from institutions and governments then the whole ecosystem will be destroyed and you will end up losing everything.
4565  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to BUY BITCOIN at the "right" price on: March 12, 2019, 09:15:08 AM
This diagram really sums up everything. Dont be that stupid to buy on peak then regret ang curse cryptocurrency right after it goes back to bottom again. Remember that there are a lot time for the market's low value then a limitted time to its peak. If you are nkt lazy enough to peek on the charts then it would be easier for you.

It is easy to type some words rather than make it real and make it happen.
None wants to buy at the peak, don't you think that they are not so stupid to do it? They just expect the price to increase more and make a need peak upwards of the price they bought. It is very hard to make a trading decision when it is needed and easier to translate graphs at a later point of time.
4566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hard Cap on: March 12, 2019, 09:11:47 AM
Every ICO has different standards and they calculate the money they need differently.
However, in this market condition, I find it very dumb to set a hard cap at 72 million. You will never catch up this amount of money even if your ICO lasts too long.
4567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 12, 2019, 09:05:41 AM

Chelsea blew a HUGE chance, I mean they should be capable of beating a team like Wolverhampton or whatever. I mean this is literally a fight for going to Europe next year or not and very good 3 teams is fighting for it and just as arsenal won, Chelsea had to take that advantage, now they look like they need to pray united or arsenal makes another mistake. Liverpool literally ripped Burnley apart, they looked like not doing so well at the start of the game but rallied really well and destroyed them.

It is obvious that Chelsea's players do not care about the Premier League games at all. They don't care if they finish 3rd or 5th, it seems it is the same for them.
I want to see at least better performance in the Europa League's games and reach the final. They are a favorite of winning the competition but they need to improve their performance more.
4568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: March 12, 2019, 09:03:22 AM
Real Madrid have signed Zinedine Zidane as coach again, and as supposedly been handed a huge sum of £300m as transfer budget by the club.

Here's the statement from the club's page
Quote
“The board of directors has also agreed the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the new coach of Real Madrid with immediate incorporation for the remainder of the season and the next three – until June 30, 2022.

"The president of Real Madrid will appear today with Zinedine Zidane before the media at 8:00pm (CET) in the press room of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.”

No Ronaldo - No Party!
I don’t think this will make much of a difference, Real need a squad overhaul in the summer of they won’t be winning anything any time soon. All good things come to an end, they need to build again.

Rumors say that Eden Hazard is going to move to Madrid in the summer. Personally, I don't think that Chelsea is going to leave him and let him sign a deal with Real (at least not till January 2020) as Chelsea will not be able to cover his position. FIFA has punished Chelsea for Financial fair play and they are not able to make any transfers for two transfer windows.
4569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2019, 08:49:52 AM
First Monaco sacks Jardim and then takes him back 3 months later, now Real hires Zidane 9 months after letting him go.
One has to wonder if those clubs presidents have any idea what they're doing.
They literally wasted a whole season for their teams.

I suppose Zidane was given the guarantee he would get great signings this summer. One I'm willing to bet will sign is Belgian Eden Hazard. Both parties want to be together so I think it will happen.

The presidents make this moves just to calm down the fans. There is not a reason why Perez hired Zidane at this period of time when Real Madrid has 0 titles to chase.
As far as Hazard is concerned he will be a great signing for Real if it happens. However, I don't think that Chelsea will let him go because they will not be able to cover his position with another signing due to the punishment from FIFA.
4570  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: March 11, 2019, 12:40:09 PM
Technically I don't think it can be worthless. Bitcoin is created and cannot be undone now as the network has been established.
Bitcoin can be worthless by the time governments would agree that bitcoin is an illegal asset and cannot be transferred between people then it will be immediately worthless. The cutoff between fiat and crypto world needs to be connected otherwise the news will be awful for crypto future.
4571  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Wicotiz Mastercard- To good to be true??? on: March 11, 2019, 12:16:26 PM
The website indeed looks impressive.
I would advise you to stay out for a while at least until there are some reviews to see posted. I don't think that it is possible for an organization to provide you IBAN without ID verification or KYC. In a first sight, It sounds like a scam to me.
4572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2020 Halving on: March 11, 2019, 10:31:26 AM
85% of all Bitcoins will have already be mined by the time of the halving. How do you think Bitcoins 2020 halving will affect its price?

The effects of the bitcoin halving will be visible 1 year (at least) after the occurance of halving. The individual miners cannot make an impact on the price. If something will happen in the price will happen due to businesses that are active in mining. These actors have the volume not the individual miners who mine 1 bitcoin every 5 months.

I think that in 2020 nothing is going to happen due to halving. I expect a price increase during 2021.
4573  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-10]Japan’s banks launch digital coin – but blockchain is nowhere to be on: March 11, 2019, 10:04:14 AM
Japan’s goal of creating a cashless society has got one step closer with the release of J–Coin Pay — a smartphone-based digital wallet that uses QR codes to provide payment services.

Despite the name, however, J-Coin has even less to do with cryptocurrency than the recently announced JPMCoin, which in cryptocurrency terms was dismissed by many as a pretender.

The wallet app, which became available to Japanese citizens on March 1st, is the result of the collaboration of sixty banks, and represents a way to complete all payment-related processes, including sending, receiving, and paying money, from a single dashboard.

https://paperblockchain.com/japans-banks-launch-digital-coin-but-blockchain-is-nowhere-to-be-seen/

As long it is centralized there is no reason to set it up in a chain of blocks. It would be dump if they do so.
In most of the cases, when the word "blockchain" is used is in order to create hype and make people fomo. The Japanese government shows integrity of creating this ecosystem in order to help their citizens and not making profit on that.
4574  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years. on: March 11, 2019, 08:53:18 AM
Gold exist for over a 1000+ years maybe? Bitcoin only 10 years. Also the internet existed about 25+ years. Bitcoin price is higher than gold by over 200%. I think the value of Bitcoin is going to sky rocket once again. When technology gets more advance n the Bitcoin system upgrades. Just another speculation.

So inaccurate comparison.
Apart from the fact that they are two different things, the environment was different. Gold immediately started of being used for transactions between counterparts because there was nothing else to be accepted as a way of payment. Bitcoin has come to the world in a difficult situation that it is opposed to the current financial system and it is harder to be adopted.
4575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current Bitcoin Price prediction on: March 11, 2019, 08:44:49 AM
Looks like it could break upwards.
Anyway we still have a bigass queue of people that want to get out on the way up Smiley

Indeed. But in which price are they going to? I have a feeling that they want to get out on the way up but this is going to be way way up. Many people bought their crypto when we where near ATH due to fomo etc. so I don't think there is a change to get out earlier before at least reaching the level of the price where they first made the purchase.
4576  Economy / Economics / Re: Acceptance of bitcoin as payment! on: March 11, 2019, 08:41:44 AM
The other day I read on reddit that some dude was capable of sending and receiving money with %1.5 total to his friend in another state of usa (he was also in usa state) but it cost him 3.5% total on commissions to get bitcoin and send him money.

We all love to talk about how cheap the adoption should be and how people are getting ripped off by master and visa cards and so forth but we forget one eternal truth, financial world is greedy and even tiny 0.1% of something that brings in billions of dollars is big.

If you have 5 dollars and want to send it to your friend you can do it without bitcoin quite cheaply right now, it costs a bit but nothing major, same goes for anything like 100 dollars or so. It is a challenge when its worldwide tough, so from one country to another its a deal breaker. Nevertheless, when it comes to bitcoin you need to first have a bank account, send your dollars to your bank, from bank to say coinbase than from coinbase you change it to bitcoin than you send that bitcoin to someone else, all combine costs a lot.

In your thinking you are right, but you are adding one more step when you describe the transaction that it made with bitcoins. And this is the conversion to fiat which makes it more expensive in your example.
With mass adoption you will not have the need to convert your crypto to any fiat because you can send-receive bitcoin instantly.

You also describe a transaction into the US federation. Have you considered the cost of transferring USD to AUSD and the costs for converting from the one to the other currency?
4577  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin spike on: March 11, 2019, 08:29:37 AM
The spike on December 2017 was slightly a Bitcoin bubble and I thought that the price would subside for a good reason.

I feel that the price of Bitcoin will again reach the $20k mark on 2021 because when you look at the history of Bitcoin itself you can see that every 3 years after a massive downfall it bounces back and even set an all time high.

It may bounce but don't you think that with the facts that we have right now, 20k is really big pump?
If there will be not any positive news, that will bring more people to the cryptocurrency community, or fasten mass adoption, I don't think that there is a chance to make such a huge bounce. We need to evolve the ecosystem in order to increase the price.
4578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: March 11, 2019, 08:22:51 AM
I agree with you. Addicts need to try and stay away from gambling for a while.. This may help relax the unhealthy craving.
Addiction to me is constantly doing something that is unproductive or unprofitable . We are all addicted to a lot things but unware of it. Eating unhealthy foods constantly can be an addiction. Eating healthy food that is beneficial to the body cannot be an addiction.  Constant gambling with something that builds up the mind and makes you  money cannot be considered as addiction

Addiction is not only that harms you and makes you unproductive or unprofitable.
There are many positive addictions out there that may improve your way of living if you make them a routine and adopt them. Everything can become an addiction it is just the fact how you manage it. And gambling is difficult to be managed.
4579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 11, 2019, 08:18:18 AM
It is getting harder and harder to watch Lakers.
Well, I guess you have an idea on where the team's going soon?  Undecided
This season is definitely done for the Lakers, especially with Ingram also out for the rest of the season. There is not point in watching their games anymore since even LeBron is not as he was before, complaining all the time to referees about everything. Let's just hope next year, they will make some good trades and be a top seed in the NBA.

I really don't want to see that Lebron's transfer to Lakers can destroy his career. This will be disastrous not only for him but also for all of us who enjoy watching NBA.
This year was definitely not Lebron's. I believe that the MVP of this season is Giannis Antetokounmpo with a solid performance since the season started.
4580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 11, 2019, 08:13:29 AM
So, Roma sacked Di Francesco, and they've appointed Claudio Ranieri as the new manager...wtf? How is Ranieri an improvement? He was awful with Fulham, and other than the league title with Leicester, his career has been pretty mediocre. I understand the Roma board was mad after that defeat in the derby against Lazio, and then getting KO'd from the CL...but Ranieri? I'm sure there are better managers out there looking for a job right now.

Anyways, Juventus vs Udinese just started...CR7 on the bench, getting some proper rest before the CL game next week. Should be a comfortable win, though.

I agree with you. Ranieri is not a good manager in my opinion and he is so overrated.
Maybe he combines hope along with the change of getting a "cheap" manager, because I don't think that Ranieri is so expensive if you confider his career so far.
