4561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [KSC] KASHMIRCOIN - MANDATORY UPDATE! - - - "BURIED" POW - cWallet - 50% POS on: February 22, 2015, 04:32:43 AM
No - there won't be anything called a - relaunch

KSC had a launch date - there is no relaunch

We also need not - NO exchanges -

We need this coin to function - I want to see this coin run for at least 2-3 months without issue(s)
Then we can consider an exchange -

It would be nice if people can chime in on this thread to see who might be hanging around still......................

Growth needs to be slow and steady like a stairway to heaven

Sounds good enough to me
Am in for long run

Thank you muhammed Zakir , really great help
Just one more question to anyone who can help
I'm understanding PGP slowly but i see people ask to sign and confirm their btc address , i can sign it , but how exactly to we decrypt a signed BTC address proof ??

First if you're gonna sign an address you need to own it (You've to know it's priv key).

Then open the verify tab and copy the details: "Message, (public)Address and signature".
When you click the verify button it's gonna say to you it's verified or not.

I used electrum for that, you can use anything else.

Also I used blockchain.info wallet to verify this message:

message: Hi chronicsky!
address: 12ia5dhAvUf2VTqe1fRnBVbq4Je7N5EHmL
signature: HI7bPPL1m/dI9FAi37Z/k5QsaKjhlmsi8ncAavbrvq9+dQgKr2CScgy8I6AEM0DHQXaP/0k8jlkGkexMefAT4UY=

This method is used to prove ownership of an address.

I don't use Electrum but blockchain.info
I do understand signing a message , adding address and public key now (thank you)
But i can't find anything about verifying on blockchain.info
Could you direct me please
~Appreciated

You can't decrypt a signed message unless it was decrypted before signing. You can verify the signed message. You can use your wallet or you can use brainwallet.github.io/#verify to verify.

You can encrypt/decrypt a message using your public key of your BTC address using Electrum. I don't know other wallets which have encrypt\/decrypt messages feature.

Okay so this way it can be verified
Cool! thanks
I don't think blockchain.info has encrypt/decrypt feature but sign message

4576  Local / India / Re: Do giveaway and service announcements? on: February 21, 2015, 08:46:53 AM
I think giveaways in terms of bitcoins can remain in main board as we want as many people as possible to use bitcoin and if they get a helping hand to start their journey in bitcoin will be great. But that's my point of view.

But I do agree, something like we are selling this or that should go to marketplace.

I still believe service announcements should stay in main board as we do not have even 10 active business services in India.

Again my opinion may be biased as I run few services and everyone loves to be on the front page Smiley

Regards

I kinda agree with you , the main board have service announcement and Giveaway sections but in local INDIAN section we don't have as many people and thus main board hardly have much threads , so it's good here

Is this giveaway still working or is it over? I am interested in downloading this app and I have 4.2.2 android version installed on my phone.

It's still working
4578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: February 20, 2015, 04:58:34 PM
Hello! i was one of the early purchaser of Storj and have some storj in my wallet other than that i have got no idea on it , i looked up and found the farmer to install on my system
But before that can you please explain a little more about it
Appreciated

I suggest you look at our FAQ first as it is quite comprehensive: http://storj.io/faq.

For access to our beta: http://storj.io/earlyaccess.

And for setting up your farmer (requires 10,000 SJCX balance for Test Group A) have a look here: https://github.com/Storj/downstream-farmer/wiki/Test-Group-A-FAQ.

This is the latest release open for testers: https://github.com/Storj/downstream-farmer/releases/tag/v0.1.5.
Newer releases are for internal testing only until it is ready for more testers.

The best place to ask your questions is on our forums: https://storjtalk.org, our devs are active on there.
We also have a DriveShare Beta support thread: https://storjtalk.org/index.php?topic=2142.0.

You are welcome to ask any questions you may have there Wink

Thank you Smiley
Seems pretty interesting and easy Cheesy

okay sounds good
But one thing , if i remove the holo sticker , the sticker will be broke but private key will still be visible/intact?

well, dude, you will put private key behind that sticker, so if you do it right, folded paper, with face down, then will be visible...
but if you put printed side to the sticker, then.. well, think for yourself Smiley

Okay thanks man!
I was in the impression that the private key will be written on the card and then sticker will be pasted
Thanks for your time , really new to this
