4561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is your expectation still high on the halving on: April 22, 2020, 03:46:52 PM
Never keep your expectations high is what I have learnt in my life. Neither did I keep much expectations from the upcoming halving nor am I keeping any expectations from it now. But yeah the recent events have changed my beliefs on bitcoin.
According bitcoin has performed quite well in these pandemic days. Most of stocks had seen a sharp fall in it's price but stayed quite strong.
It has held on to it's price quite well and this made me believe more in bitcoin.
4562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 22, 2020, 02:33:11 PM
How you stop you from losing all your bankroll (Bankroll = capital amount in your terms). I find it is too hard to preserve my money once I added them into casinos. It will be definitely helpful for me as well as for this community if you share your specific strategy regarding this.
The strategy is quite basic. Deposit your capital into a casino and do some gambling.
Once you make it double just withdraw the capital investment and then gamble further until you wish.
I know making the initial investment double is quite hard but that's what you are gambling for.
4563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $3 billion in 'dust' to enter the market will push the bull run past the halving on: April 21, 2020, 01:10:02 PM
So they keep the stable coins waiting and instead of buying now while the price is low, they are waiting for .. a certain block to pass in order to buy?
No. If they do that it'll be just a psychological tactic that'll actually do a big scale pump and dump. Which is not unusual at halving events.
Imho the real price growth may happen only when miners will not be willing anymore to sell cheap the much more hardly earned coins.
You are probably right. Why would anybody wait for a block to pass by and buy BTC when they can buy it right now for a lesser price unless they know that past the block the price will dump. But how can somebody be so sure when crypto market is so volatile and purely based on demand and supply.

According to me, the news must just be another FUD or there must be pre planned strategy which they are trying to execute.

If anybody is to buy a hardware wallet there are some things that he should do:

1. Buy it from a trusted source
2. Once received lookout if the product is not tampered
3. Look for it's serial key and check if the product is genuine
4. Reset the firmware and upgrade it
5. Consider using new seed phrases/keys by regenerating the keys at least 2-3 times
4565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 21, 2020, 12:45:31 PM
He has obviously done the right thing here because many of these lucky winners can't handle their luck and lose their winning quickly.
Many of them spend it lavishly while the others gamble again to lose it all. There are only a few people like the one mentioned in OP who quits while he is ahead and spends it rather slowly on important things. If I would have won then I would first take back my capital investment and then see how much I have left with and then invest in on more important things while keeping some for further gambling.
4566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 21, 2020, 12:39:59 PM
One of the thing that I think is missing is
'Always save your profits or at least a portion of it for future gambling'

I consider this an important aspect because most of the trader don't save their profits and rather use all of it in gambling and probably lose them.
If one saves a portion of their profits for future gambling then he will not have to invest more again and again and can rather use the profits which saved from the gambles itself. It is hard to save but this is what I have been doing. I used to save the capital amount I invested in gambling so that I can use it again in future and this rule has helped me a lot.
4567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: April 20, 2020, 03:58:06 PM
Actually you can never judge if a casino is legit or not based on just it's ambiance.
Most of the times, the most illegal casinos are the ones which have a better ambiance than the legit ones.

The tips you mentioned are quite good if you are new to gambling so that you can practice it right from the beginning.
For old time gamblers, it would be really hard to control on their budget and be comfortable in their surroundings since gamblers are always so excited.
4568  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: [Indian Edition] How did you come up with your username? on: April 20, 2020, 03:11:41 PM
A lot of ppl tend to assume that I'm a Muslim given that my username starts with Allah, but it is not so.

I was born in Allahabad, the city which the Islamophobic govt of current day has renamed to Prayagraj. Allahabad meant the abode of Allah, but irrespective of whichever religion one belonged to, we loved to refer ourselves as Allahabadi (the residents of Allahabad). It is a distinct dialect and we love to act out. Hence I named my user account as such.

But funnily enuff it has drawn lot of Islamophobic and radical Islamic remarks to my account too, Islamophobic are the usual RW ones while a couple of Muslims from Indo-Malay once questioned me at to why I fashioned my username after Allah and no human shud use it as his name, but then I explained to them what it meant, after which they didn't question me again.
Just when I read the name Allahabadi I thought must be some Allahabadi guy until I found out here that you are actually an Allahabdi guy and named your account as such.  Grin I find it funny though (not about the name but that my guess was correct).

Now to answer the thread, I didn't put in much efforts in thinking a name since I keep changing my alias on the internet and this is just one of those random alias I use on this forum.

The above people have already mentioned so many mistakes that I won't bother visiting the site itself.
Mentioning high RTP itself would alarm people of how risky the site could be.
People have become more aware now would not even visit such sites which promises high RTP.
4570  Economy / Gambling / Re: BSpin.io | Bitcoin Casino | Instant deposits | Slots, Games and Lottery on: April 19, 2020, 04:02:26 AM
In some casinos, they provide some options to display Bitcoin balance, so can we have such convenient option in BSpin.io? Gamblers can choose which unit they are familiar with to display for their accounts. We have only one unit for now, in µ฿. I think we should have BTC as another option while the default unit will still be the µ฿ .
I think knowing about µ฿ is a must if you are a bitcoiner. Being able to use bitcoin itself should mean that one should know know how it is paired and the units it can be measured with. But yeah I do agree that having the option of choosing the unit should be there as the users can select it as per their convenience while knowing the meaning of every unit is a must.

Hi. I think the minimum amount for withdrawal is 1000 µ฿ or 0.001 ฿. You can look at their ToS to confirm. Here's the link:

https://bspin.io/home/termsandconditions

The minimum withdrawal requirement is 2000 µ฿ or 0.002฿ since it is mentioned when you are about to withdraw the amount.

Quote
* Minimum withdraw: 2000.00 µ฿
* Withdraw is possible when all deposit transactions have at least 6 confirms
* Withdraw is not possible when bonus is active

4572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: April 17, 2020, 02:54:17 PM
Becareful of fake promises from new projects, some use cases can never be possible on blockchain and many don't know this, I've neglected some projects because of this, why are investors fooling themselves? The warning that says ' stay away from offers that are too good to be true' is not entirely talking about profits only, sometimes it's more than that, how can we be promised that a city will use A.I technology when no single A.I project is successful in crypto space? Be wise fellas, some things will never work on blockchain, at least not this time
You are absolutely right. Not only this but we should also be able to differentiate between the usage of blockchain for the right purpose and usage of blockchain just as a buzz word. There are people who are using the world blockchain just so that it can create a buzz in the community but the project has no reason to use blockchain. There are many projects where the project is all about cloning bitcoin and/or promising more returns due to it's scarcity. Why will such project ever grow ?
This is where we need to understand that investing in such projects is absolute foolishness.
4573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 17, 2020, 02:36:19 PM
More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?
If we look at it from a different perspective then you can see that all those conferences can be held online.
Also, this would encourage more people to take part in the conference because of the following reasons

1. People will have a lot of free time during the lockdown and hence they can take part in it
2. People won't have to go to the conference since they will be able to attend it online hence many people will volunteer to participate
3. People will have nothing new to do and hence this might be a new thing they learn in the lockdown

4574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 16, 2020, 02:43:30 PM
Nobody would have expected that a pandemic like this would hit us so hard so quickly. To be honest, nobody was prepared for such a thing.
It's not just about casinos and it's employees but every industry is facing this troublesome situation.
It depends on the owners if they can afford to pay their employees or not. We can't blame the owners too since they will have to pay the bills and bare the loss anyway. It's good that despite this situation, there are some owners who are paying their employees but only prayers can help the rest.
4575  Economy / Gambling / Re: blockchain loto on: April 16, 2020, 02:35:48 PM
1. No SSL
2. Bad interface
3. No proof of authorization
These are enough reasons for you to know that you won't get any visitors on your website.
You must improve your website if you are a legit developer and want users to visit your website.
4576  Local / India / Re: Crypto ATM in India. Would it be worth it ? on: April 16, 2020, 02:15:59 PM
This isn't the complete truth. ATM seize and owners' arrest weren't due to illegality of Bitcoin but due to the wrongful usage of term 'ATM'. In India, only banking sector can establish ATM machine. Other NBFCs can establish ATMs but setting up such ATMs require prior RBI approval and certain other requirements. But Unocoin arbitrarily set up machine and named it ATM. However, Unocoin could have avoided the aftermaths if the company used the term 'kiosk' instead of 'ATM'. The machine wasn't ATM in real essence. It was rather operating through Unocoin online account which puts the machine into mere definition of Kiosk.

Machine and the mechanism itself wasn't violating the RBI direction and was completely legit even before Supreme Court decision. However, it was the use of term 'ATM' which provoked State Police to take action against the owners. Even now when ban is lifted, setting up such machine and using the term 'ATM' would lead to retaliation from authorities.

I found a relevant video online from Crypto Kanoon youtube channel, he explained the situation beautifully in Hindi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwGODpXGlv8&feature=emb_logo
Yes you are right. I remember reading an article at that time which mentioned that the issue was due to it being called an ATM.
They did mention that it was merely a Kiosk. But then I wonder why did they not rename it and launched it again.
Also, why did they not launch the kiosk again after the ban was uplifted in India since they launched their exchange again.
4577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safety first before trading on: April 15, 2020, 02:25:04 PM
What's new about what you mentioned in OP ? Most of the traders are aware of such things.
The things to consider about is safety is

Keeping your crypto in safe locations
Not mentioning about your crypto balance in public
Diversifying your crypto to minimize the risk

These are points you should have mentioned
4578  Local / India / Crypto ATM in India. Would it be worth it ? on: April 15, 2020, 01:52:42 PM
It's been about 1.5 years since the first ever crypto ATM was launched in India. The first Crypto ATM was launched by Unocoin and was placed in some mall in Bengaluru. Unfortunately, Crypto was not legal in India at that time and hence the police seized the ATM and arrested it's owners.

Source: https://www.thenewsminute.com/article/india-s-first-cryptocurrency-atm-launched-bengaluru-90117

Things are changing now since India has uplifted the ban on cryptocurrencies. But the questions are

1. Does uplifting the ban gives the right to people to launch a crypto ATM ?
2. If a crypto ATM is successfully launched without any restrictions from any authorities how good would it be for us?
Would it be worth it ? How do you think it will bring a change in India ?

4579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will do better in this Economic Crisis ??? BITCOIN or GOLD ??? on: April 15, 2020, 01:39:39 PM
Firstly, Gold can be bought online and saved online in the form of stocks. There are stocks backed by gold and in our country they are called Sovereign Gold Bond.

What you describe is NOT, NOT, NOT gold... It is well known that there are about 500 ounces of PAPER GOLD for every ounce of real gold, so what you would be buying is paper backed by nothing  Shocked Shocked Shocked

That works until confidence is lost, then it does not work and your paper is worth ZERO   Angry Angry Angry

Hard Facts
SGB is not the same thing. The units are measured in grams here and the minimum requirement is to buy 1 gram of bond and it's price is equivalent to 1 gram of gold. Also, you gain additional interest to hold those bonds. I consider holding SGB more than physical gold itself considering the pros and cons of SGB vs physical gold.
4580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO NEWS:FBI Warns COVID-19 Scammers Are Targeting Crypto Holders. on: April 15, 2020, 01:25:02 PM
The covid-19 situation has given the scammers a good opportunity to scam the people.
But I think it's not new for the crypto users since scammers are finding new ways to scam people every year.
Such scams have been happening from a long time now and I think people have become more of aware of such scams.
