"Is there any way to set up a bible pay wallet on mac? also is there anyway to mine BBP on a mac." -Pesky-Ninja
Reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7id9r9/advice_for_bible_pay_wallet_on_mac/

Sort of.  Our mac support is only 90% finished.  The issue is to build the dmg file, we need to subscribe to AAPLs developer channel, I think its $399 a year.  Im looking for a volunteer who already compiles for the mac with an apple dev license that might want to be our mac config manager.  If we can find that person, he/she can run the build script every time we have a new release and then my script will place the DMG on the web site.

In the mean time, the only way is to compile biblepay from source.  The source is mac compatible right now.

biblepay you wrote about stealing pools coins, that you had problems: can you explain us,if you fixed problems? it was on old topic, dont know where, but this BOTNET problems is problems on every coins, right, but when we checked last 5 days with my friends, we mined 2times more, and in same diff we mined 2times less? wuuuut?

and what is this? https://biblepay-explorer.org/network  95% is CHINA BOTNET: that IP is from 1 operator TELECOM .... very nice!!!

biblepay=chinacoin

and we must to say Biggest Losers*
BIBLEPAY 4th position

LOL, No I didnt.  I didnt write about it.

And Im not going to do the work for you to find your own lies, so please go ahead and find it.

Therefore, for the record:

ITS NOT REALITY DUDE

Find another community for non Christians, you do not have a Christian personality.

Btw, all our posts are still on our bitcointalk forum.

EDIT: If we are on the loser list today, thats called Profit Taking.  Thats normal after bringing in 40% new interest in one day and a 100% rise in price in one day.

Steve Cioccolanti sent me this article to get us up to speed on Christian censorship going on in the FANG  currently (Facebook amazon netflix google and Twitter):

http://www.wnd.com/2017/12/tech-giants-online-censorship-of-christians-exposed/

So apparently what is happening is Twitter suspends conservative and Christian tweet owner accounts, but allows tweets from liberals with no such discipline.  Im not sure exactly what Google is doing at this point, possibly reranking search results containing quality Christian views.  I know the news is filtered with a left bias.

this huge problems with mining looks on any botnet or china manoeuvrers ...

info for miners:
important to know that after new year will be rewards 50% less will be harder and harder mining,im scary about miners on pool

So how did the founder ever steal a cent from an orphan or steal a block from the pool?

Maybe time to apologize and admit you were wrong Slovakia?

Adrian,

Would you please tone down the trash talk here?  And sit back and listen to the pros?  Its 1.5 MM BBP, and its not set that way for Greed.
You cant have it both ways- whether we start small and grow later, then you say that tranche was a bunch of heathens because they succeeded and now they have money to spend (meaning that you are just jealous).  We are fledgling and small and with the current price you can still buy a masternode for half of what it was yesterday.

The important thing that makes us different is if our investors really care about the orphans, they wont be looking to buy new Mercedes Benz' and buying the superbowl tickets theyll be going on a gospel mission and feeding the hungry.  Maybe they will spend it to go to Israel.  Wouldnt that be cool?  So its how the investor is personally responsible in the long term.

Anyway you are detracting from the community.  You are basically accusing us to be a bunch of greedy slimeballs, and you have the disrespectful personality that coinpimp had.  If you are going to be disrespectful, please find a different project and stop posting here.

I wanted to mention a feature we have coming at Christmas called E-commerce.

It lets US citizens buy products on amazon through the wallet (primarily because the wallet only supports address validation in the US at this time).  We are working behind the scenes getting Walmart on board also.  I have been notified that Europe deliveries will be possible in a few months if we have some volume in the US test market.

Anyway the reason I mention this is the pool website has additional new fields in the account settings page for name, address, city, state, phone.  I just wanted to say this is only required for E-commerce for Pool purchases.  Not for wallet purposes.  So we are not trying to track you, the fields are optional, and those only need to be filled out if you want to buy some Great Tribulation food in the Pool.

As far as buying from the wallet, I'm working on this guide:
http://wiki.biblepay.org/Ecommerce

There will be fields in the client that allow you to buy directly from the wallet without the pool.

Hopefully we will be the first crypto with built in Amazon products for sale.  Now you can spend your biblepay on real products.

In all honesty Rob, this could be the feature that propels BBP high up the rankings. People want to buy stuff with their crypto and this is difficult at the moment.

There is a service in NZ from our post company which gives you a US address (it is a warehouse owned by NZ post). You ship to their US address and they ship back to NZ.
I wonder if it will work for this...

https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/youshop

Thats cool, yeah I hope it does at least propel us high enough to allow our IT budget to have a full blown IT dept! That would be nice to make this a full time business with an office.  Anyway we might already have the ability to go to NZ.  Does Amazon deliver to your house currently?

Quote

Nothing is too late to change. Everything is possible with God!

I just realized that the ones who got in early already got a 10x value in their investment. So I do think good providence would favor lowering the prices. from $750 to $7700 in only 3 weeks or so? sounds like a great ROI already!

But changing it now would be extremely unfair to the people who have purchased BBP in recent days simply to get enough for a sanctuary. If there was someone who purchased all of the 1.55 million BBP at a premium price in the last few days, then that person was told actually only 100k is needed, then they will be annoyed that they spend way more than they need.
Additionally, if that were to happen people would dump their excess coins on he exchange and lower the price.
Out theoretical person will then have purchased 1.45 million more BBP than needed at a premium price and could not get their money back due to the drop in price.

Additionally, and more convincingly, Rob has given a final price. I believe him to be a man of his word, of integrity, and I don't expect or want him to go back on his word.

It sucks if you don't have enough to run a sanctuary (I don't) because you feel locked out, but it is better for Rob to keep his word. So I am happy.
In the end, we have to keep in mind that a big reason why we invested in BBP is for helping those in need. So let's not bicker about something like the price of a sanctuary which isn't going to change in the near future.

Thanks!  Thats right, and there are a few things about crypto you have to realize.  (Unless you create a new crypto with external contracts).

Imagine if Bitcoin claimed to have a halving schedule of 4 years and then every year they issued a mandatory with a rule change that increased the coin supply and halved the halving rate.  Would you trust them?  Thats part of the issue.

The other issue is once a crypto has more than a few service providers, it is a Huge undertaking to issue a mandatory change in the client.  You need a 2 weeks notice, and every provider needs notified to be put in maintenance.  This is because if an exchange runs a forked version funds can be lost.

In this case its more important for us to have integrity and show we do what we say we will do every time.

You can always hope the price settles back down for a little while and then quickly buy enough for one.

4589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: December 08, 2017, 01:18:34 AM
Yes lower price would make sense. Maybe put the price of the nodes up for web forum vote right now? The original price must have been determined at the price at that time and whatever forecasted needs. So as btc/bbp price goes up the price can scale down to meet the same forecasts. That would be the most fair thing to do I think. I just think its out of reach to any common person right now.

My only interest in this is I would love to do a lot of good ideas on top of biblepay. Id love to be a part of the development team and I feel excluded in having a stake in the success if I cant even get in one node.

If the sales of nodes meets your budgetary needs for 2018 and of course personal profit as is well deserved, then why not attract an ARMY of devoted developers who each have a stake in the 'company'. That audience will be more productive than just rich miners that want to see more coins coming their way so they can sell them quickly.

Something around 100k would be my vote. that would be attainable to mine within 8 months.

Be flexible cause like open source, you will see exponential value and results when people have the right rewards and sense of ownership

Sorry, but it is already 1,500,001.  The problem is people bought in based on the escrow price we set on Thanksgiving.

I thought about it and I cant change it next year as that would mean the people who bought in at a high level risked more and then we changed the formula on them.  The only way we can change it in the future is if we have < 100 masternodes after 6 months in prod.

In addition you have to realize there is no time for a vote now.  We only have 10 days to finish the mandatory client and notify ccex of a coming mandatory.

So its pretty much too late to change anything now.

hey chief bible_pay  is any problem with pool?  diff is between 8000-15000 last 2 days, and today our 24hours rewards dropped almost to only 45% for rewards of blocks:  ... this is very weird, cos when we mined between this values and we mined almost 1/2 more .... our efficiency massive dropping, our hashpower raised  21,7M+ ...

and we mined only 35 blocks for last 24hours?  ... minersofmine mined 1block=   169 blocks mined by SOLO miners or ?  is really true that solo mining got better hashrates like in your pool?

Network (GH/s) on explorer is hash1 or hash2?

Hi Slovakia,

I had a look at the explorer (https://biblepay-explorer.org/ )

Apparently we have 797.1658 GHps. When I look at the pool we have  21821651 Hps which is 0.021821651 GHps

So it looks like the price rise has brought in some mega miners. If I have calculated this correctly (which it is possible I have made an error) then it looks like the pool reward is going to go down even further.

How can people have so much Hps without using GPU? I don't know enough about the technology.

Lets look at this issue from a high level.
We have two pools that solve about 25% of the daily blocks.  We have 202 blocks per day.
Pool.biblepay.org is pulling 21Million Hash Per Sec (thats 21MHS).  MinersOfMen is pulling 2 MHS.  Thats a total of 23 MHS.
(Since the pools solved about 25% of the daily level, we increase MHPS to total network MHPS here): So that means our total network MHPS is about 90~ MHS.  (Thats probably where we round down to 79.71658 MHS).
So I believe the issue is the block explorers need adjusted to be 79.71658 MegaHashPerSec.

Or our wallet needs adjusted to emit MHS in getmininginfo.
Background: We were going to do that last month when Happy Merchant was around, but we decided since f8000 actually changes the hashspeed, we would wait and tweak it with f8000 in 20 more days.  That is a leisure upgrade anyway, so I can help do this around Christmas.

Moving on to the pool solving 34 blocks over the last 24 hours, running at less effiency, I do want to say that it is very obvious the distinct miner count jumped from 1100 to 1500 over the last 24 hours!  So we have actually increased miner count almost 40% in one day.

Next the diff being 28267 currently is Very, very high.  This is not linear either, so you cant say with a 28267 diff - that we are only double the diff we were yesterday.

Anyway bottom line is Im going to make this assumption: With 400 new pool miners in one day, its very possible a certain percentage of them are solo mining and solving blocks.  Why we have 75% solo miners out there and two pools, I cant answer.  All I can say is I can promise you every solved block by the pool address gets paid by the pool.  Ill give you the pool address and you can run your own report if you dont trust me.  We have a command called getsubsidy height.  You can write an rpc report or Alex could probably put a page in the BX that shows blocks solved by the pool (he can mark Minersofmen and Pool) and you can compare that daily 24 hour coin emission to the BX if you want.  Alex, are you up for that, sounds fun huh?

You all have the capabilities to audit the chain and find out whose solving the other 75% of the blocks.  Its not the pool.

EDIT: I almost forgot one extremely important point, 10% of the blocks are tithe blocks, so these go to the orphans, so that only leaves 65% for non-pool miners.  Since we dont report on the tithe blocks in the pool as they are 0 value.

4591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: December 07, 2017, 11:37:39 PM
MASTERNODE price was set for 500K then Rob changed thinking and set it to 750k then to 1M then to 1.5M ....

and yes, this is centralise not decentralise ... check how many wallets is in top 100 ... almost 75%,this is bullshit, no1 coin got first 100 wallets 75% of all coins
Slovakia, you dont sound like a Christian anyway, as you generally include profanity in your posts.  If you want a reply Id suggest removing the profanity otherwise I will delete them.

Profanity, one of the 40 sins that can send you to hell, one of the sins in our wallet in Repent for Sin:
https://www.openbible.info/topics/using_profanity
But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
Collossians 3:8

OHHH, How lovely, now you say Ive stolen blocks Before?  This, from the same person that claims I steal the orphans money?  Oh my, how original Slovakia.  So, how did I go about stealing blocks before?

Finally on the Sanctuary cost, weve had the most fair pricing requirement possible.  I deliberately set the pricing to allow time for early adpoters to buy in for a sanctuary early, made a cheap cost per unit currency, and even waited until Thanksgiving to set the price @ $1250 with a baseline, and now since the price suddenly jumped, which I remind you happened AFTER I announced the price of the sanctuary, you are crying that its unfair.  You had 90 days to buy it.  Sorry, start saving.  Btw, the price was never changed.

I hear you brother. This has been written about 2000+ years ago. State blockchain with hand/forehead wallets are where this is all headed. And people will rush into it because 'free money'. Keep in mind that people marveled at the beast saying who can go against it? Same is being said about bitcoin. Its a precursor to something else that will tie identity to blockchain. People will love it because it will enrich them greatly. They will worship it

Rob - very important idea/question. You need to allow for custom data to be written into a transaction. I believe that the currently empty 'prayers' field is a possibility. We need a place to enter data that can be encrypted on blockchain.

Why? Because I have a in mind some applications that would benefit from people leaving messages for others. The typical use case is notarization. But I am thinking about something more useful and necessary for a persecuted people in the future.

Hmm, thats scary thinking the GUID in a RFID chip might be the bitcoin private key instead of the guid it is now.    I know the code for Bitcoin in and out and there is no 666 currently in there- its innocuous currently by itself.  But you make a good point, that the BTC private wallet key "could" be the alphanumeric characters derived from the guid in the rfid chip in the future (if you want to see the key, type dumpprivkey bbpwalletaddress).

As far as storing data in our Chain, Biblepay has an XML storage field to our transactions that stores up to 1000 characters in each transaction VOUT (thats where we store the prayers).  So you can store things in BBP now for a fee of 1 bbp per 1000 characters per vout.  Take a look at the news create function in bbp how it splits an article up into nSize/1000 and stores each piece of the article in a vout.  Let me know if you want the function call name.  On a side note you can test the BBP message by sending yourself some BBP with a message in it but dont click the Prayer checkbox unless you want the prayer to appear in everyones wallet.

changing BBP on CCEX is horrible: very bad exchange .. we need better
Lets count our blessings and give thanks to CCEX for making it possible to sponsor orphans.
To give you a little idea of the problem: According to the news Bittrex is receiving millions of $ of deposits and cant even keep up with the paperwork necessary to legally process the accounts.  They dont have time to reply to the emails about know your customer. There is a waiting list of 400 coins on most of the exchanges.  The exchanges are charging $75,000 for integrations now that BTC just doubled again.

I invite anyone to directly contact poloniex, bittrex, coinsmarkets, or any other exchange and get a quote in $ instead of a moving target - maybe someone will do it for $15K in Q1-Q2 2018.  CoinExchange.IO is a possiblity, but I need someone to get a real contact there for me, not a canned reply as I dont feel we should send 2BTC into a vaccuum.

Luke found Blockbid and we will work with them a little further as they are cheap but their ICO isnt complete yet.

fyi, bitcoin just topped $19,000 usd ... coinbase and gdax are both down, probably overwhelmed by all the new customers/traffic.

I cant see this as good news. Not because it will fall - it wont. It will continue to push through ridiculous levels. So then what happens when people walk around with 100k+++ bitcoins in their pocket? They will buy up real goods and services by the penny. This can only mean prices will shoot up. Inflation because of bitcoin will have a very destructive effect.

Another thing, I do not see banks allowing this especially credit cards. Do you think they want people free from debt? Debtors are the people THEY mine. They wont want to see those slaves freed.

So banks will simply reject / take funds that come from exchanges.

Something will happen to stop this OR it will be allowed to continue so something else can replace fiat. There is something very wrong with what is going on.

Yes there are definitely a few fundamental problems with this continuing the way it is, dont get me wrong Im happy for those who had the forethought to buy BTC early for anti-inflation reasons, and happy for the success.

But I believe right now the minimum transaction fee is $17 to send money, and the network is congested.  They would need to get the sidechains working, and have a "master reset" so the price comes down to earth, maybe like a reverse 100:1 reverse split.  There is talk of using microsatoshi instead of satoshi also.  But the tx fees need to be more like .50 cents again! Not $1.70 or $17.00 thats crazy.

The other thing is I dont think BTC is destroying the USD.  Its the other way around, the illuminati are buying BTC because they fear that inflation is going to destroy the dollar soon (IMO).  I see the headlines on RT say China and Russia have created an alternate oil exchange to replace NYMEX.  That is the harbinger of the end of the dollar.  That makes more sense as to why the Bitcoin would rise so fast - its Russia and China ready to kill the dollar.

I would say BBP is a perfect replacement for the small potatoes transactions for now.

Also, its not very cool to see the ground underneath you move 25% per day.  This is what it feels like for those in Venzuela who are eating street and zoo animals now because their inflation is 70,000% and they cant afford a pound of flour per day now.

The Bible says in Revelations, the time is coming where it takes 1 days wages to work for a pound of wheat... This is the harbinger.

How many devs are currently working on this project? Can you share some information (mainly about people involved)? It would be good to have some picture. Thank you.
On this project we just have 2 devs (Core and Web), however, one other dev worked on part of BBP before, and the issue that is relatively complicated is my other team has 5 devs, and I believe 2 of them are interested in potentially helping us, but I have not fully explained to them whats going on over here yet.  So the answer is 2 now, and I hope to have 7 by June of next year.  I think 7 is reasonable given that we will have two very active codebases (Stratis plus Bitcoin).

I think its also reasonable to assume we will have 4-5 volunteers representing different facets of Biblepay, like CFO, Proj manager, PR manager, CTO, and could potentially add the bios to our new web page (beta.biblepay.org) by June 2018.  That would be a nice addition to have some more transparency in this project and professional representation.

Three questions for masternodes at BBP:

- Why should (considering if you have enough) one make a masternode? What are the benefits and usages?

- How much does a masternode earns and what does it do?

- How do you set up a masternode, if not several masternodes considering someone has enough BBP?

The Sanctuaries will allow us to decentralize our community to become a decentralized autonomous charity. As a sanctuary operator you may vote on important issues, and receive ROI for the initial escrow investment.
See potential ROI:
http://pool.biblepay.org/docs/roi.htm

The masternodes earn approx 1/24th of the initial requirement per month (requirement = 1,550,001 BBP).  The payment is actually 40% of each block divided by the sanctuary count.

Note this guide will change slightly before Christmas, but the instructions for creating a sanctuary are here:
http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary

  @Bible_Pay
Is it an idea to make a Telegram channel for BBP so a community is also being formed on there, and perhaps even a Discord server? But I think a Telegram group would be very nice to have to support and get new people in as well!

We have a slack team in its infancy.  So far we have a few members, and growing rapidly.
I cant be in the room today as I have a lot going on with our second pool integration, but please feel free to join:

But the mining credits are around 25.
Maybe it needs more time to warm up? Or is there some new change in rules?

I noticed pool fees are now 4% and for anonymous 9%. I am registered so I assume I am not anonymous right?

How would you be anonymous anyways since you can not make a worker id without an account?

Lastly I tried the other pool but after running it for a full day, it never paid me a single credit. So I do not know what the deal was there?  Huh
Im committed to lowering the total pool fee over the long term once it gets closer to the black again (its down right now NET over its operating life due to a couple bugs that had to be fixed recently.).  Anyway, the fee is 4% for the core pool usage, and the 9% is Only active if you check the "Cloak User and Miners" checkbox in account settings.  That makes your miners anonymous in the leaderboard (and everywhere else).

Which pagename, report and field and value exactly?  Im not catching your drift on the 65/25.

BiblePay hit #7 Shocked on the gainers list on CoinMarketCap: https://coinmarketcap.com/gainers-losers/

Trading has been crazy! https://c-cex.com/?p=bbp-btc

Thank you for your vision, hard work and execution Rob!
Yeah I see its still at #4.  I love the over $100,000 per day volume for the last 2 days (almost enough to integrate a debit card).

I took that opportunity to dump the orphan wallet in the middle of the trading and hardly moved the price.  We finally raised .34 BTC without crashing the market and thats good as I ran at a deficit for a couple months (its all visible when you add up "Orphan Fundraisers" vs "Expenses").  Hopefully in January when we vote on the monthly orphan payment everything will run smoothly, we have tested that in testnet and anticipate it to work properly as the expense goes from new proposal, to vote, to budget, to vote, to superblock in prod.
