Break of a daily trend might prove significant, depends if the previous formation we broke upwards from was also important because reversal into failure can lead to faster moves.   Close of a weekly bar now so maybe we dont have to wait long on that, surely other miners can take up the slack and so on an mitigate the effect and any sentiment change.
4582  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $1 million this cycle really possible? on: April 16, 2021, 11:32:30 PM
All posts that say BTC goes down get deleted, thats how we rose so high.   Easy how simple that works out lol

where do you think all the money that will pump the price of x15 will come from?

Its more to do with the dollar disintegrating then just crypto rising, which is a more regular supply relatable to actual activity of some sort besides government fiscal budgeting needs expanding monetary base to favour itself.  We are still in the era of dollar dominance and a global reserve system based around just one political center which is not the best basis for capitalism and crypto isnt going to be the only alternative avenue of trade and value explored so it will be some years.  I agree the next halvening is more likely a reasonable target but also the Dollar itself loses value in this time most likely.
4583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it bearish season yet? on: April 16, 2021, 10:15:58 PM
Weekends are coming so I expecting that the price will turn back high again.

Pretty much my thoughts also, weekend is easier going however the volume on the price after hitting 61k and rising has been weaker.   This area will be tested again I think before any rise going forward.

So I didnt post at that time but 61613 was my idea for closing out any negative trade for today, rising and moving above that ends the negative sentiment in appearance.   Its the prior low, so it did beat that and we're closing out above the lows.   Its fairly simple to recover back to that 1hr positive trend then sunday into monday I expect a proper test once again with main market volume, 62 and high as 63k we havent yet proven positive.   Some have aspirations 70k and beyond, so long as it holds 59k on any test that probably means we resolve upwards.
4584  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it bearish season yet? on: April 16, 2021, 05:24:17 AM

Break of a trend, are you happy now  Tongue   Its now trading below this diagonal line shown here which in theory gives us some significance to observe.   Its only 1hr bars, I havent looked seriously but in any case I have been thinking a return to weekly average would be reasonable for a few days and thats the 60k price
4585  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutional buyers are not backing down. More Pump? on: April 16, 2021, 05:20:06 AM
GBTC has a negative discount to it which in theory means its cheaper to buy into but also might signal lower demand from that quarter.  Not exactly your question but at some point people who have no interest in holding BTC just close their trade, its a normal process and I dont see why one part of the market wouldn't do that also sometimes.

A discount also promotes arbitrage possible, so buy gbtc but sell other markets, not sure that has an effect or not but possibly as gbtc has slack so not a need to buy in markets;  cant say I know for sure.
4586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never go below $50,000 again on: April 16, 2021, 05:06:01 AM
Froth and base line are two diametrically opposed targets, we might judge the froth target as being six figures trajectory but dont exclude that crypto doesnt purely go up always and the base line is below 50k imo.   My personal opinion on what phase are we in and for how long barely matters, it just can and who knows what triggers it.
4587  Economy / Speculation / Re: OK my apology Bitcoin is not a PONZI but I still call it a huge bubble on: April 15, 2021, 11:25:50 AM
These questions are ten years old but most of the world still needs to consider so its a valid conversation to have, stating it as a conclusion is obviously going to upset people.    The main reason why bubble as a label exists for any pricing is because the FIAT or political control of Conventional money supply is causing asset price inflation but the source of that dilution is not Bitcoin.
In Zimbabwe while under going thousands of percent increase in prices, they accused the stock market of producing inflation via higher prices, this also was not the cause of their problems.  They forced their market to close, all that happened is the pricing resumed at a higher level when open trading was allowed again as the money had fallen even further in value mean time.
4588  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it bearish season yet? on: April 14, 2021, 10:14:00 PM
Slight pullback but quite normal, I think it can hit the weekly average maybe but recent low was 4 day average and also the top of the Elon musk tweet action obviously its not just him but thats how I'd label it short term.

Currently its at the 2 day average, low was the peak of March pricing so might be fair measure for the moment.
4589  Economy / Speculation / Re: I just realized I'm 99.9% crypto and 0.1% in fiat on: April 13, 2021, 10:54:36 AM
The house counts as an asset and the mortgage is unknown cost, ideally you will have a fixed interest rate because the situation could spike but invariably the face value on the debt does not reflect true cost as we know money is going to lose alot of value at this rate over a long term hence normally why rates would be rising.
Portfolio balancing is counter intuitive and it will never perform as well as gambling it all on your best bet, sometimes that will do best like now an asset class comes out of nowhere and is constantly dismissed till fairly recently.   Now its accepted that has to be the tail end of 'near term' speculative gains I guess, longer term hopefully further expansion and development occurs but the idea to balancing value is you meet future costs.   The highest worth for cash is security not wealth exactly which is why strange things unexpected things can happen when governments are biased into volatility over security in regulation of currency.
I'd say silly things like 1% gold and so on which leads to arguments on theoretical usage and future prospects but for security over speculation its hard to argue against just paying off an asset which houses you every day.   Land, gold, water and just whatever long term prospect you can think of is the ultimate destination for alot of speculative wealth short term.
4590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 12, 2021, 11:57:28 PM
Cadian's clutch was especially impressive because he has done quite alot of casting and work outside of purely being a player.  He isnt the very top player but it shows a depth to the game when experience counts for alot in actions when combined with a very good player who can put it into effect.   Also he was just lucky to live, every clutch is some good fortune and benefit from the team also though it appears to be purely a titanic solo round victory
The clip with the flying awp gifted to a player end of the round also is funny and another random bonus that is part of why I appreciate CS most to watch; so yea he lost this round but right to the last second there are elements which are still altering the game balance and prospects for that very next round.  Keeps it interesting  Cool

what is going on with Heroic
An army in retreat is at its weakest, its often the case a team requires momentum to do best if they lose a spirit to their play, coordination and confidence can decline it may be overly damaging.   For some reason csgo especially seems to emphasize this
4591  Economy / Speculation / Re: get a loan and reinvest it on: April 12, 2021, 11:54:09 PM
The market is already containing alot of leverage that is the main danger to adding into that and hoping to sell before they do.   I was reading a good article on funds trying to take advantage of premiums for a profit and it easily goes wrong and reverses.   My base line is the basic case for BTC and utility it might offer to small users vs ongoing FIAT inflation, if thats not there I wouldn't believe in it especially as I think that backs up all other speculation and market action despite their size its the smallest elements that matter most.

4592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What age bracket is perfect for gambling on: April 12, 2021, 11:42:10 PM
Depends how you view perfect because health wise its not best to have teenagers gambling but obviously gambling is one way business wants to target the disposable revenue of young adults.    Even the plain banking industry tries to target demographics they think will grow as a sector which definitely means extending credit and other services as soon as possible.
Ideally people should be 21 when gambling and fully aware its a leisure activity that doesn't mean riches occur despite wins its an item to spend on not expect to be profitable.   Realistically people dont ever gamble rationally entirely but they should be given the chance to consider it properly.
4593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is the most popular game in gambling field ? on: April 12, 2021, 11:31:09 PM
My guess would be poker maybe slots or sports based gambling including esports .   The other aspect people wont consider is in game gambling, micro transaction or item type gambling has also become a big industry and its not classified as gambling always but basically it is and part of the reason its so big is that its unrestricted, similar to apps on a phone can be quite profitable and unrestricted.    People talk about crypto as some negative threat possibly in allowing gambling but a simple phone or computer already contains that idea quite alot; I have the same views on premium phone lines enabling a form of gamble allowing multiple entries that will hook some.   Include all those possibilities not just the traditional and its not clear which is the largest game globally.
4594  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: April 12, 2021, 11:12:24 PM
I think, bitcoin is overpriced since 2009, since its start!

If you have no usage, no utility personally from holding it and you exclude any trading value to those that do then you are correct in your estimate.    The wider context is the origins of BTC relate to QE and the diminishing value of FIAT worldwide on a large scale, the disproportion asset based inflation via the QE done has altered the prices of many things and promoted alternates outside that price distortion.   I dont think it will last forever and dollar itself is liable to slip and fall into far less usage globally, similar to sterling previously and the end of its empire meant a far lower value.
Most people have the simple take crypto replaces Dollar, I dont think its going to be that simple we are discussing a developing situation and clearly things cannot stay as they are now but its also obvious gigantic change will occur so its not wrong to hold BTC potentially this is true for every human hence we have demand.
4595  Economy / Gambling / Re: Web developer seeking for crypto-gambling website idea on: April 12, 2021, 11:04:55 PM
I'm going to suggest you will do very well if you can combine tradable items from other games such as CS or any online game with sellable items and also crypto.    If you can accept deposits then allow bets on esports for those in game items its usually going to prove popular, problem is you would likely have to separate the two out to avoid the gambling being associated with the game in an exact way.

Or you could take a game theme indirectly from various games in a more generic way, themed but not directly set just look at the largest most popular online games for an idea.

4596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 12, 2021, 10:52:37 PM
Resistance got pretty strong in no time.
I smell hedge funds...  Roll Eyes

I smell a new round of newly printed trillions of $$$ by the Fed to bail out hedge funds that have shorted bitcoin and are too big to fail.

Not sure if hovering here represents strength or a likely ceiling that means we require to revise lower prices still.  Does an especially higher price require momentum to pass old prices or can it just hover and suddenly rise through both moving averages and prior volume pricing at the same time.

This is a different kind of chart I thought the thread might appreciate, relates to varied economic prospects

Lawyers arent cheap, theres nothing unique or likely in his actions to succeed especially.   Referring yourself, multi accounting then botting is a signature profile activity easily recognized and represented as a counter argument to any claim of validity.  If there was doubt or a grey area on this then sure perhaps leverage to his legal threats could exist.     The only other aspect to consider would be publicity, oh it looks bad but its recognizable without much effort as just another bot attempt which they probably have dealt with in excess thousands of these cases; you are correct it effects the bottom line profits and viability to the site because there is no real customer revenue occurring here no upside or point to attributing any credibility or leeway.

poker will purely rely on luck

Its not purely luck, you can average out your performance and improve your chances by a consistent strategy and there is skill in competing against the other players effectively.   One hand can be argued to be luck especially if played in a blind or all in kind of way then you just rely on the river card perhaps to pay off or not but people will play over a series of hands and you can apply some part of probability theory.   Some think it incorrect but repeatedly getting 4 aces in sequential hands should not happen so I do act on the hands that appeared previously to some extent to decide my actions.

P.S. the machine algorithm that you are talking about :
That resembles pascals triangle to me, outlier events can be determined in probability by the path required to arrive at that sequence.   I was taught statistics and probability a while ago so maybe Im off but Im biased to that line of judging an outcome, I think people do this consciously or sometimes just 'in their heads' but still similarly.
4599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: April 12, 2021, 11:59:25 AM
Valorant does a better job then overwatch, a large part of that is involving the audience.   I actually rate csgo or cs highest for  two key elements which would be audience participation and involvement which will lead to betting, also then a core competitive element to that game.      CS took years to develop and wasnt immediately popular, on launch it lost out to an ancient version of its own game which felt better to pro players.
A few more maps and tweaks and Valorant could develop and accumulate interest for bets, so key question would be durability vs competition and new games etc.  I dont rate it the best ever, its got to earn that but could end up there.
4600  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could the next bear market move bitcoin? on: April 12, 2021, 04:55:14 AM
Last I looked my worst case scenario was around 30k to 20k and it was reasonable to be buying in small parts around there no matter how grim it seemed it could easily bounce at that point.  Right now it should dip to 58k to meet closing main market prices.
Theres no proper hint of a bear market move, its not properly broken anything yet.  Move past 55k and stay there for daily and weekly bars and we can speak further on this with some seriousness.   Dollar index is quite slowly moving up, a sharp move up would cause more upset.  DXY basing around 92 as a low makes me think it possible but I dont trade Forex.
