4581  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic on: February 06, 2021, 12:31:56 PM
Looks like the ‘don’t panic’ advice still applies with BTC’s being bought up back to 40k right now...  Don’t panic buy.  Lolol.  Avoid market buys and make your buy orders lower to get into a better spot.

This reversal seems to have caused a lot of traders to dump most if their altcoin bags to buy BTC.

Edit:  Typos.

^  Rofl!  The pleasure was mine...  As usual.  Grin  I tend to get the losing end of these side bets I’m making here in the gambling section.  I think I have two more losing side bets.  With Trofo and another guy I forgot about.  Cheesy  I think it was with Death Angel.

Weigh ins start in an hour or so.  I might come back to post the live video here..  or I might not.  But my leans for the event are Overeem, Dariush and Guida.  I could just end up doing a parlay with them as I don’t have much BTC left with the books.  They’re all at the exchange.  Alt szn.  Lol.

So @Tomahawk9 won the 22nd round and extend his lead on the top of the leaderboard . He has been standing on top of the leaderboard for weeks and yet this is the first time that he wins the Yellow Cap   Tongue

Slow and steady wins the race. It's much better in the long run to have consistent scores every week than win the yellow cap once or twice or be challenging for it a few times.

I still say this is all the jinxing caused by all the pundits saying how good we looked earlier in the season. Same as what happened when Arsenal sat at the top at the start of the league. It is like as soon as everyone says how good a club is, it seems to fall. So in that spirit,,,  Manchester City look so good and they are now serious favorites to win it right?

Losing Van Dijk was a big blow. City have looked a lot stronger from the start to be fair. I don't think they've been playing exceptional though. The game between them this weekend is going to be really interesting. Maybe Liverpool can get some points from it being at home and turn their fortunes round.

I picked City to win 2 - 0 away and leaning towards a City -1 bet if it’s available.  But I feel like it could be one of those matches that could end nil - nil.  Dunno..  I’ve been checking the lines and the under .5 goals is priced at 15.  Lol.  Thinking of getting it if I win my West Ham, United, Spurs and Leicester parlay.
4585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: February 05, 2021, 03:48:51 PM
^  Hah.  I guess I owe somebody 10 bucks.  Lol.

Steamtyme, just send me your BTC address so I can ship it your way asap.  Thanks.

And here’s a vid uploaded by Doug at YT..  It’s basically a recap of the match and his assesment on how good he thinks DNegs played.  It was a fair ‘B - B+’.  He thought DNegs should be a little more aggro in some spots and fight for pots.

^  He already had a couple of bad experiences with Fernando Alonso and to some extent with Nico Rosberg.  I’d like to see him pair up with Vettel tho.  I have always been curious how fast he would be inside that Merc.  Prolly beating everybody at qualifying at every event.

^  I’m wondering what could be binaryFate’s reason behind the decision to close shop.  Was there outside pressure?  Maybe it’s a sign of things to come concerning XMR and other privacy centric cryptos?

He explains that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/la46ds/xmrto_service_is_shutting_down_job_done/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

From their blog post:  ‘We believe in full transparency of our service (not of blockchains!). The only way to respect our users is to be transparent about our choices and our actions, so our users can make their own choices. We believe this is the best way we can protect our users and the community and move it forward. As such, and to help the Monero community to assess our position and decide for yourselves whether or not you are comfortable with our policies, we will start issuing regular transparency reports. Our transparency reports will describe any requests XMR.to has received from government or regulatory authorities and how we have responded or otherwise reacted.’.

^  It think that was right before they announced they were closing shop.

https://xmr.to/blog/our_first_blog_post/

It feels like the government or some regulatory authorities are starting to poke around the service.  I mean I’m pretty sure not all conversions done thru the site are exactly legal.

Anyway yeah...  It’s sad to see it go.
4588  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.ME ⭐NEW v5.0⭐ | Daily & Weekly Competitions | Exclusive Games & Lottery on: February 04, 2021, 02:16:50 PM
Here is a short summary of what we have done in the last week.

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • FREE SPINS for wagering have been introduced. LOTTERY TICKETS for wagering are still here too!
  • New Slots Provider - EURASIAN GAMING - have been added to the BitDice platform. This provider supports BTC, LTC, DOGE, ETH.
  • Push Notifications containing a link for a claimable FREE LOTTERY TICKETS have been added. Feel free to subscribe to receive your daily ticket!
  • New game development: SNATCH - most of the backend code has been done, frontend part is halfway through. Estimated delivery - middle of February.
  • New Sportsbook integration has commenced, ETA - middle of February
  • About 40000 Lottery tickets have participated in the Sunday drawing

Miscellaneous:
  • More banners have been created for the BitDice Affiliate program
  • A bug with the Free Spins counter showing the incorrect number in some cases has been fixed
  • EOS withdrawal issue has been (hopefully) fixed
  • Frontend code refactoring has been mostly completed
  • Several other minor bugs fixed

@dogedice.me these are nice developments I’m excited to see the Snatch game, also it’s nice to see 40k tickets were claimed, but if more people participated then the pool could grow bigger, and it would be more fun to claim those tickets. Furthermore in the past I had observed that Bitdice sportsbook odds were decent when compared to other sportsbook, hence I’m hoping that in your new sportsbook you’ll continue giving us competitive odds.

When did Bitdice have their sportsbetting site up?  And how long ago was this?  I’ve been waiting for it when I was still with their campaign and had never saw it even after I left.

Anyway dogedice, looking forward to it.  I hope to see good things with the new book.  Smiley  Good luck...  Wishing you guys more success.
4589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 04, 2021, 02:10:02 PM
^  No comparison imho.  And it wasn’t about the manager.  That 2011/12 squad was somewhat special.  They had John Terry and Lampard at the heart of the squad with Drogba being sidelined by AVB but still in there trying to prove that he’s still the top guy.  Which he did.  Fernando Torres scored the goal that made them win on aggregate against Barca at the semis.

...  Lots of other heros in that squad which I couldn’t name.  But it was the most memorable CL season for me.

Porto (POR) - Juventus (ITA)
Siviglia (ESP) - Borussia Dortmund (GER)

24 feb e 16 march
Borussia Mönchengladbach (GER) - Manchester City (ENG)
Atalanta (ITA) - Real Madrid (ESP)

Atalanta have a hard game Smiley

Does anybody else think Chelsea has a much bigger chance to win the CL than what the odds are showing?  I think they’re something like 20 odds to win.  They def have the players to do it and with Tuchel taking over I think their chances are much higher.

Edit:  Chelsea’s line to win the CL is at 18.12 at FJ.

Anyone willing to point out to me why I shouldn't be backing COry Sandhagen as much as I am? I only see this fight going one way, ignoring the chance of any lucky shots. Cory has always impressed me in fights, even when he appears to be struggling he has a certain volume that's just fun to watch. I think he's going to out pressure his opponent, and wear him down across the three rounds.

I don't see a knockout in this fight,  but its going to be a war right until the end. I honestly think we could see a 30-27 win by Cory. This might just be because I'm biased as I love him as a fighter, but I just don't seen a Edgar win (obviously every fighter in MMA has a chance of winning).

In my opinion, in what I see, Cory Sandhagen has the stat advantage and that's it he may have a chance on Frankie Edgar, but Don't underestimate and forget the number of wins he has, he might lose to Aldo and Holloway but his fight with Yair Rodriguez that is what I think was good about Frankie Edgar, but I think both are Ok in fighting on the ground I think that both have good striking power, this might end up bloody indeed,

The number of fights for Frankie Edgar over Sandhagen goes to show how Frankie Edgar has the most experience but Sandhagen had the talent in giving a good fight to Edgar so keep that in mind, So I am still profound about giving my Bet for both fighters, and that is up to the most experience a fighter has.

Those losses were also a weight class above at 145.  The match vs Sandhagen is at 135.  All questions and doubts about Edgar’s weight cut and how he performs at 135 have been answered in his last bout vs Muhnoz.  He won it as a 2 to 1 underdog.

For sure Sandhagen is a step up in competition.  But not that huge imho.  Not for Edgar...  Now I say all this stuff and will look like a genius this weekend or a dumb idiot.  Rofl.  Cheesy

No doubt Munhoz was great back then it was a close fight but he can see that Pedro Munhoz is more aggressive here and Frankie Edgar likes to play it focally and cleverly, I know that Pedro Munhoz is upset about the scorecard but Frankie Edgar on my perspective had down a great job by moving around and giving a combination of shots and smartly fight the aggressive Munhoz, even though Edgar won this he is still limping because of Pedro Munhoz kicks.

Now about Sandhagen after remembering that fight of Edgar and Munhoz maybe you are right if Edgar could win this you may really end up looking like a genius.

Just to be clear, I’m not saying Edgar would def win.  All I’m saying is it’s gonna be closer than what the lines are showing us.  Maybe the books think Sandhagen could do Edgar like he did Moraes..  Dunno.  I pretty much doubt it.  Edgar has the wrestling advantage and could grind Sandhagen against the cage.

Ferrari really made him bald in my opinion with all the stress that he endured for all this season.

I think it goes both ways, and Vettel's performance (or lack of) probably caused some baldness amongst Ferrari officials, too Cheesy
It has to be said he really underperformed in the red car, and not just last season. There were a couple of years where the Ferrari package was right up there with Mercedes, but Ferrari didn't have the drivers to beat Hamilton.

Did they?  Merc always had the best car since the switch to the V6.  I mean imagine switching Vettel and Hamilton during that time when ‘Ferrari had the package’...  I think Vettel would be winning the championship by a mile cos really Ferrari is kinda behind in F1 auto development for more than a decade now.

Anyway SXP is finally rising and the price is over..  *looks at chart* ..  1.50 bucks right now.  I’ve been shilling it around here for a couple of weeks.  I hope some of you got in and are making some gains too.

Feels good winning trade after trade.  It’s been a while.  Grin  I guess it’s alt season folks.  Stay safe out there.  Smiley

^  As long as it stays and doesn’t fall below this somewhat neutral range..  I don’t care if it doesn’t go up beyond that.  And it’s what we really need for alts to catch up and for alt season to start.  BTC being in range and mostly sideways.

LOLOLOL!  Yup!  I was laughing the first time I saw it and I’m still laughing when I’m looking at it right now.  Cheesy  I saw it a couple of days ago when my friend who’s a crazy mofo was looking at his phone and he goes:  ‘You wanna see Prince William in an F1 car?’.  Rofl.
