4581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: key safety strategies? on: August 24, 2020, 02:55:23 PM
I have very simple examples that I commonly do.
1. Store the private key with specific code on several devices such as laptops, computers, and also mobile phones. I store it offline, not online one because it will be very risky moreover when the application is not a paid-app.
2. Write down them on certain books, be sure that you really save the book securely. If needed, you can notice someone else about the private key, but ensure that he//she is trusted enough. It may be your wife/husband or trusted family.

And of course, never give other people who you don't believe the private keys, whatever the reasons, moreover when they have reasons to help you recover something. Never believe them.
4582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting a hardware wallet doesn't mean your funds are completely safe on: August 23, 2020, 11:53:08 PM
Everything related to the technology maybe not perfect, there will be always kind of error. Moreover, if it still relates tot he human, the error will still exist. Like here in the choice of the wallet. hardware wallet may still have any weakness, moreover when the owner makes some mistakes about it. However, at least, it is better than the software or online wallet. At least, it has a smaller chance to lose our funds here rather than the online or software one. This is the truth. You may not be able to get 100% security, but at least, you get it better.
4583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recover Lost Chainlink on: August 23, 2020, 11:46:29 PM
Can you provide the transaction link in order to tract the transaction whether it is gone wrong or not? You probably need to provide the wallet address and its transaction. To whom you sent that LINK? Exchange?
If the truth is that the wallet address is really wrong, it will be lost and you may be able not to get it back. However, if it was sent to an exchange wallet, please try to contact the support (but here, I also doubt that they will help because this is your own mistake). Every time you send a transaction, you should double-check the wallet address and also other details. So, be patient, you may have lost your coin. Make it as a lesson for you to be more careful next.
Chainlink or LINK?
He said Chainlink (LINK), not the LINK (LN).

Wrong accusation sir, the OP did not post in the wrong thread, he is talking about Chainlink not BTC, I don't think there is a way to recover the coins but the answer can oy be found if OP can ask the team directly
This post was in Bitcoin discussion and moved here.
What is OP ?

Secondly if it is sent to wrong address which does not exist and tokens are gone? what is the way to get that back
OP is you, the one that starts this topic.
If the wallet address is wrong, sorry, you may not get it back.
4584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sports Industry taking over the Crypto space on: August 23, 2020, 11:29:09 PM
Often someone believes in things like this easily. But in the end, it all depends on the progress of the project development. Nowadays, crypto has grown into various sectors and it is becoming good. When it comes to crypto for sports, this is also commonplace. because there have been many projects that have adopted this. But if indeed Chilliz and his partners can make something different, more interesting, and real, then it is possible that it will work. but still, all of the future will depend on the market and how the response of crypto holders and their needs.
4585  Economy / Economics / Re: Some are hungry, some are losing their homes - some are doubling their wealth on: August 23, 2020, 11:21:42 PM
Yes right, this recession has actually been going on since several years ago. but it peaked especially because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether this is true or just a global conspiracy. but in fact this has had a very bad impact, especially on the economy, at least in my country.

I recently read an article that the wealth of the 12 richest Americans climbed above $1 trillion for the first time in history and this is precisely because of what has caused almost the whole world to find itself in a very difficult situation. Although no one can deny that this is the result of a free economy and that everyone manages as he knows how, .....
Seeing how their wealth has increased is sometimes sad especially when we also see how the majority of the population has to struggle every day just to get a bite of rice to eat with their families. 'It's true, this recession, this pandemic is making the poor even poorer. Many small businesses have gone bankrupt and are no longer operating. Unemployed workers. And also the increasingly rampant social inequality.
This may sound unfair. but this is the fact and maybe this will always happen, it will never stop.
4586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holders have an opportunity to earn interest due to cred partnership on: August 23, 2020, 10:47:52 PM
At first, I thought this was an interesting idea, but still thinking, is it possible to believe this? And still too confusing for the mechanism.
Then after reading some comments from members here regarding the scam carried out by Roger Ver, where he is the CEO of bitcoin.com, then ouch, I prefer to resign.
Indeed, in any case, any investment should be scrutinized more carefully, gathering as much information as is needed so that we don't get caught up in a scam that is getting here increasingly varied and convincing.
So the conclusion here, it seems that I prefer holding my BTC in my wallet or trading it on exchanges rather than investing on that site.
4587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain solution for Pension system of Primary school teachers of Bangladesh on: August 23, 2020, 10:40:22 PM
Blockchain technology is widely used in many more sectors. And if Bangladesh is interested to adopt this blockchain technology, it seems to be very reasonable. For, we can see that many people in that country at least have realized one of the uses of blockchain in relation to cryptocurrency. However here what IMB and IPDC Finance Limited do is about using the blockchain technology, not specifically creating a cryptocurrency.
...But blockchain based technology implementation is one step toward crypto to be legal because people will realize utility of blockchain based solution.
A Bangeldeshi government agency is collaborating with IBM to harness blockchain for modernizing the country’s digital pension system.
I thought that it would be interesting and it stands to reason that this is the digital age. If by using this blockchain technology the system becomes more transparent, then why not? This might be one way to minimize the corrupted funds for these.
However, the question then is why the only pension of primary school teachers? Maybe this is the beginning and the next may be widely used.
I think, if this technology is applied, at least it must be right on target and also easy. because this is specifically for retirees where automatically their age is not young anymore. And maybe they don't really understand the world of technology like this. So, it is hoped that the system will be applied easily and will not create obstacles for these retirees.
4588  Economy / Economics / Re: how in the world is btc at $12.303,28? on: August 22, 2020, 11:51:16 PM
It's cycle dude.
It is very normal for BTC to hit that rate and may be higher. Just see on the market chart. Although probably the news may also give the influence to the BTC price. But mostly, the market has its own change. In this case, never panic every time the price is down or up. But in this case, let's follow the market of BTC and find the chance to make profits every time you make it.
4589  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic outlook and your life for 2021 poll on: August 22, 2020, 11:33:09 PM
COVID-19 has destroyed many small business, with the bigger businesses taking their share of the economic pie. I believe many people lost jobs, but some are doing OK.
It is a fact, a real fact that so many people lose their jobs during this pandemic, moroever until now, many people still have difficulties to search for a job, moroever a job that relates to many people involvement.
I also see people and business around me, you are right, many small business closed it even for a moment and also forever. It hurts everytime seeing how they work so hard in order to survive during this pandemic. Just one hope that this pandemic will relaly ends and we can restart again our life, economic, and business.

Curious, as Bitcoiners, how did the COVID-19 pandemic affect your financial situation, and what is your outlook for 2021?
Fortunately, before the COVID, I didn't work outside either. I focus on the cryptocurrency world. Where in the past many people around me still looked down on this profession.  Grin Grin
And I don't mind that. because after all, everyone has different thoughts and opinions. And thankfully, I was not directly impacted, I still have enough income from cryptocurrency to be used for daily necessities and savings.
And right now I'm actually opening a small business in the real world. It is too brave, however, we can think positively, take advantage of the moment, and take what is possible. Isn't this how we can help other people who have lost their jobs to find jobs again?
I really hope, not only me but everyone else keep thinking positive and hoping that 2021 will be better. the economy returned to normal and had a good and significant development again.
4590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggestion for making a video on bitcoin on: August 22, 2020, 11:24:02 PM
The most reasons in my area about the Bitcoin is that they still think that BTC is something:
1. Illegal and criminal, so try to make a video that ensures the prospect of BTC accepted in many more countries, a video that ensures that BTC is not only used for illegal or criminal things.
2. Bitcoin is considered as a very risky thing. So, try to give the viewers through the video about the risks and also profits in very easy ways. However, never only give the profits because whatever, BTC still offers risks, moreover for new people.
3. Bitcoin is related to scam. Well, many people still think about it because there are so many scams that they can find. So, better to give information on how to avoid scams and also not to believe such very big things that lead to scams.
4. The use of BTC in the real world.
5. The probabilities of taking profits from BTC easily.
4591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Influencers Are Not Helping on: August 22, 2020, 11:08:06 PM
Why there should be influencers of Bitcoin? Does BTC really need it? About the hype again? or any kind of prediction?
In this case, the price of Bitcoin will always in that cycle, its bullish, market correction, bearish, bullish again, and so on. I personally a person who never considers much on the influencer. I prefer to believe in how the market works and cycle.
If we are talking about the influencers, previously, there are also several influencers that also try predicting or speaking about BTC price and future. The aim may be good for the shake of the Bitcoin. However, I worry about some people who really believe in what influencers say and get a bubble of it, becoming trapped on the cycle. whereas, there is something more that we can do, by analyzing the market itself.
4592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Boosting Morale for newbies. Giving newbie a merit. on: August 18, 2020, 07:06:46 PM
In this manner, I am holding 1 smerit to give back to newbie to boost the morale of the user.
By the way, why don't you have certain criteria for the post that deserve to get merits? I think you should be quite selective to give the merits to Newbies. The reason isn't only about the quality who deserves merits, but I see that you also have limited merits for now. Don't give them to low-quality posts, optimize the merits for newbies who have the chance to be good posters.

4593  Economy / Economics / Re: Brace yourselfs , the economic earthquake is coming ... on: August 18, 2020, 06:15:02 PM
It seems that crypto market and the stocks didn't go along well this time. Money from the stocks just came into cryptocurrency.  Smiley
Yep, it is not the same this time. The Crypto market is in good condition, while the stock market looks badly. But I suspect it is just a temporary, crypto market may follow the stock market at any time. Who knows that in the next few days, we will see big dumps in the crypto market. To be honest, looking at the condition on the stock market isn't a good sign for the crypto market as well.

I'm starting to be scared once this pumping is done, money will come out to crypto and shall go to stocks.
Me, too. But we don't know when it will happen. It can be soon or takes a long time. But, after seeing the stock market trend, I think I will consider buying more coins. I think it is better to prevent the possible worse trends in the upcoming days in the crypto market.

4594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 DeFi projects on: August 18, 2020, 05:17:41 PM
First, I am also a little bit surprised why they didn't include LINK on the list.
Other sources like CMC and also CoinGecko may have quite similar lists about the rank of DeFi projects.
We can see the following:
https://www.coingecko.com/en/defi
https://www.coingecko.com/en/defi
Those two sources have more similar lists and put LINK in the first place. There is no YAM, moreover on the top 10. I wonder that is DappRadar really trusted?
I never use this tracker so far. CMC ad COinGecko is most used.
YAM itself is in the rank of 341 on the CMC and it has quite enough trading volume.
4595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scamming as an option/Advice to scammers on: August 18, 2020, 04:29:30 PM
WHY DO THEY SCAM?
Or more, they will prove that they can defeat the other people, they can deceive many more people, and they can get what they want so easily. There may be a self-satisfaction if done and successful doing scam. So silly.
Whatever the reasons, the scam will always harm its victims, make other people suffer, and also lose their hope. We can see many people have been scammed and they lost a lot of money. Consequently, they will never trust again to the crypto world.

And now, many scammers also do hacks to several platforms in order to soften their scam projects. They will also make very surely YoutTube channel and other media in order to ensure the victims. They are smart, I know it.

SCAMMING AS AN OPTION
In fact, they will never think about it. They will never care about it and they enjoy and satisfy this condition. It is like a thief, once they are successful, they will, again and again, steal from others.

4596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin could be a scam ? on: August 18, 2020, 04:21:27 PM
Hi guys
do u think bitcoin could be a scam ? do you think bitcoin developer satoshi can decide to scam peoples
and create more supply then sell everything and dump the price to zero?
Do you realize how many years Bitcoin has been created? How many years this coin has developed and also spread in the market? It is very funny to think about BTC scam. However, I really appreciate your thought or question.
But personally, I will answer " never". Although Satoshi creates more BTC (it will never happen), the price will not dump to zero. Who will make their creation going to have no value after years?
4597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use BTC to generate passive income like ERC20 tokens? on: August 18, 2020, 04:09:32 PM
Even like that, I will still like BTC more than any other cryptos. Income isn't just for passive income and Bitcoin doesn't just provide that kind of income. BTC is more of a coin that has more value and promising for the future. In this case, we can still get profits from BTC as well as by trading, investing, arbitrating, and many others.

Earning 100% interest on a shitcoin that drops by 50% means you didn't actually earn anything.
That's right. And when it has dropped drastically and has no value, we are aware that BTC may be better even it is not considered for passive income type. I like what you think, simply, but it, sell or hold.
4598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: August 18, 2020, 04:02:01 PM
BIG NO.
Satoshi has been trying to hide his true identity so that it is not known by anyone. Surely this must have a good reason. Not only automatically to be a secret.
Therefore, should we open it to the public? It's the same as not thanking Satoshi.
And what's more, it's no use to me personally, unless Satoshi himself wants to open it.
4599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your thought about New projects? on: August 17, 2020, 11:58:17 PM
It's been a long time, crypto projects always appear every day. even in 2018, there were more and more crypto projects than today, especially when they use of ICOs as crowdfunding was booming.

Well, in this regard, I am personally not someone who likes to invest in new projects, because of course, this is very high risk. Both from failed projects, scams, not developed projects, and also teams that let go when the project was completed.

Especially when they have their coins listed on exchanges. Sometimes many are not serious and end up leaving their coins with the investors who have trusted them.

Personally, I will like the new project that really offers the real project and has good relations with the big companies. But once more, just be careful in picking the right coin or token. It is better to make it based on the serious analysis.
4600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is very excited at the moment. on: August 17, 2020, 11:52:42 PM
Little by little and finally BTC reached $ 12,278.88.
High figure after prolonged bearish. Yes, this is good news and we can make high profits. however, believe that we should be more careful in this situation too. Will the price of BTC continues to increase or will it have market correction up to a certain price? I hope it will continue to increase to reach $ 15k this year. however, will this happen? We'll just wait. What is certain is Bitcoin is a valuable asset in which we can invest. but still, prioritize safe and good money management for investing.
