4581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: March 06, 2020, 04:35:28 AM
If this is the level of gambling addiction the I guess the highes that I have been was 5.
But now I am only at level 1 I don't gamble much now I just want to open a new gambling site or new gambling games.
I feel the majority of the gamblers would fall in the 4 to 6 slab mentioned in the OP because while crypto gambling is addictive but I believe it is still new and can't think of someone falling into the severe slab or at least very few gamblers.

I guess I would be falling under the 1st level because I often get flashy ideas and I deposit some money gamble and loose it, then next day during my free time I try other methods and strategies and burn a little more sometimes I win too and I continue with that winning strategy until it turns into loosing one.I realize how serious gambling can be after reading some comments here because I always used to think that gambling was just fun for everyone.
4582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: March 05, 2020, 06:58:25 PM
If someone gambles just for fun and he totally has full control of his gambling habits it will not be a problem at all. Being a responsible gambler also means you are a trustworthy and responsible man. It is ok not to stop gambling because by the sound of it your friend trusts you for him giving that position.
I concur with your statements but only partially because while I agree that being given a particular responsibility like a councilor or something should not alter how my life goes because I believe in being as realistic as possible in life.

But where is disagree is, getting a particular responsibility does makes one more conscious about their routine and gambling is nothing that one takes seriously and it's like I have to visit a conference tomorrow then I would consciously try to avoid smoking much because I have other things in mind and gambling and other addictions work only when you are sort of bored.
4583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or Casino gambling? on: March 05, 2020, 06:10:07 PM
I would personally choose online casinos as well because I know that I could set a limit and control myself from losing too much. It will also be an advantage since I don't have enough time to gamble outside. Everything is more convenient with online gambling compared to physical casinos but I sometimes miss the experience of doing it physically.
i can do it both, the only thing i like in online you can play it alone what ever game you want to play. And of course you can manage how much you can use to play unlike physical that you can use all the money you have in your pocket for playinh.
I usually prefer a casino or visiting a club when I have some holidays planned because casinos are not in our current city and we have to travel around to find a good one. So once we go to a real casino we usually feel like we are on a trip and I am using the word we because I only go when my friends are around and trust me you will feel lost initially in a real casino first time visiting there so have some friends with you.

The only benefit I can see in real casinos is the atmosphere and real life experience while online casinos offer lower edge, easy to make bets and manage cash flow because you have to always keep a check on your chips in real casino.
4584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A long journey taken short - first and last journal entry of a failed trader. on: March 05, 2020, 05:40:52 PM
Trading would always remain the most complicated part of ones life. Trading has a lot of hidden risks which come forward on hitting some specific targets. Also most of the newbies might be thinking that they would never face excess loss because they have set up a stoploss for each order but this would never minimize your risk but it would only minimize the amount you might lose. I have seen a lot of people setting stoploss few cents below their buy orders.

We should understand that we are dealing with the most volatile markets and hence that price might be triggered anytime if you lack in research. This might make you hit your stop loss each. What you need to do in this situation is to change the percentage rate of your stoploss and find profits in smaller gaps.
4585  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Charts Are Garbage on: March 05, 2020, 05:06:41 PM
If you have already worked 10 years of your life with the stock markets than you should at least understand what actually candles are. Candles are nothing but just a pattern to show the market movements and we have to make our TA based on the market history.

Crypto markets and stocks markets do not have much difference as they both would only give us great profits depending on our technical analysis. You have to learn more about the charts and patterns and try to devote maximum time towards the crypto markets so that it gets easier for you to start trading. Speaking about the current trend, I can't predict the exact future but a small dip might be expected before the price starts pulling back.
4586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Courts Will Seize BTC With Miners' Help: Self-Proclaimed Satoshi Craig Wright on: March 05, 2020, 04:34:40 PM
Will miners come together and roll back the blockchain? Craig Wright seems to think so, or is he spreading fud and lying again like usual?? i doubt that this will occur.
Man I’m seriously getting tired of seeing posts about this man every single time I come to this forum. This dude is always looking for ways to be trending and I just don’t know what’s wrong with him, isn’t his fake claims of being Satoshi Nakamoto already enough, why is he still saying things that doesn’t even make any sense. It would have been better for him if he stayed low and saved himself some shame, but no he wouldn’t, he still continued with his lies Sad.

He’s now starting to annoy me. I saw he news that he plans to file a lawsuit against Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash if they don’t stop using the Blockchain. Ridiculous.
4587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Blockchain in Hollywood Movies on: March 05, 2020, 02:09:39 PM
This is really good and I’m expecting more and more movies in Hollywood to be creating awareness for cryptocurrency by doing things that relates to cryptocurrency in their movies. This will, as time goes on, create more awareness and make the government to lift bans on cryptocurrency and allow people to make use of it. Or maybe they will create a cryptocurrency for the people.

Okay, I said that because I have seen the road we are heading to, governments now wants to create their own cryptocurrency and they are going to be centralized. Whatever happens, I am really hoping for the best and not the worst. But I want the government to allow people to be making use of Bitcoin without any problem.
4588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 05, 2020, 01:40:39 PM
Yes, I’m very sure that if they should lift their ban on cryptocurrency it’s going to have some positive effect on cryptocurrency price. I am very sure that there are people who lives there in India that might have stopped investing in Bitcoin because of it being banned.

But, if the government should lift the ban it’s going to make a lot of people to get back into and start investing. When people start investing it will have some effect on the price and the price will start going up. Maybe the changes will not be noticeable at first but as time goes on and as the adoption increases, it will start reflecting in the price. This is what I know for sure. Would be good if other countries will lift their ban on Bitcoin as well.
4589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: March 05, 2020, 10:32:25 AM
Unfortunately, there are bad days on bitcoin world, whenever price falls that is a bad day for bitcoin but there are some people make profit even from that as well so I am not entirely sure if it is %100 bad for the all community. As long as there are more investments to crypto related stuff I am kind of fine with price going down as well. Remember 2018? The price was very low and it kept going down as well but there was more investments to crypto companies so in 2019 we went up x2 and even x4 for a while as well.

I am expecting the same for 2020 as well, price could stay arount these prices without moving any further higher and I would be fine with it as long as there are more investments to crypto companies and there are many more startups.
4590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin will be your favorite this season? on: March 05, 2020, 09:50:35 AM
I think that this year Ethereum will show good results. Everything will depend on how successful the results of implementing the improvements to Ethereum 2.0 will be. However, I am sure that this year ethereum will reach a whole new level of its development. It can also give a new impetus to the activation of ICO projects with tokens issued on the platform of this coin.
Etherum had immense demand in the past only because of it's uniqueness. At the current time, ETH is getting a bit outdated which needs some serious updates. This etherum 2.0 can bring a new revolution in the price and demand of etherum but by any chance if this 2.0 version fails out to be launched than we could see etherum crushing hard.

I personally treated etherum as the second most coin of the crypto space but even I am losing interest from etherum only because of the development team delaying in the updates. I can't fully ignore etherum so I hold some amount just in case if etherum experience a boost after the development of etherum 2.0.
4591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What p2p games will you play? on: March 04, 2020, 07:52:44 AM
Why not create a game that have a 1 v 1 or a team fight.
A classic MOBA games and bring back some old memories like DOTA 1 where gambler would create a lobby with a certain amount of players that they want and a certain amount of bet.
A game where we would use our own skill and doesn't depend much on luck.
I believe decent.bet offers such opportunities where you can play these games for money and win against other players and I also heard they have implemented some good cheating detectors to avoid any hackers and unfair advantages but I have not used the website myself since I am not someone who is into player games because I rather love to play against the house it's easy and simple while also being fast.

I don't know why anyone would be playing against players and wait for matching when they can always play against the computer. But yes games of skills are where house won't be able to play with you.
4592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: March 03, 2020, 12:49:29 PM
My longest break in gambling is probably 1-2 months when i usually busy from work, and sometimes i don't feel playing in gambling sites or at the casino because i feel i won't win or don't have any luck on that day in gambling, that is why i rather choose to take a break and rest for a while.
Yes, being busy at work does force me at times to almost stop all the entertainment like movies, etc but actually my longest break shouldn't be too long as I myself cannot recall it, being gambling online makes it so easy that when I am doing nothing in night time I often open my mobile and play dice for fun. If even I am broke and spent all the allocated funds for gambling, I would actually claim faucets and have fun. I would say my longest break was 20-25 days when I was in hospital for someone close to me meeting an accident unfortunately and I could not even think of anything during that time let alone gambling or any sort of entertainment

By the way, this is since the last year or so because before that I didn't used to gamble too much so I would have huge gaps earlier but after being a regular gambler I guess 25 days is the maximum I have been away from gambling.
4593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: process vs outcome on: March 02, 2020, 12:48:56 PM
Maybe become rich from gambling will be their reason for still playing gambling. And they still enjoy the process even if that can give them more losses. They will not think about the money, but they care about the outcome.
Being very hones't I am not really sure what you are trying to say because your statements sounds contradictory to each other. Look everyone wants to win money and that's the basic aim when you gamble no matter if you are gambling first time or if you have made million bets, there is no fun in watching dice numbers rolling over your screen and I can't see how someone would have fun in the process.

If they cannot win, they will try over and over, and of course, they will use more money to try their luck. They hope that one day they can win the games so that they can give them the money, but if they can calculate the winning money versus the losing money, the lost money will be bigger than the winning money.
No one tries to win the game, people try to win bets they make at certain games. I agree on that last statement you made because no matter how much anyone brags about their gambling skills and maybe sports prediction accuracy but eventually they all are at lose in long term.

Overall I do believe, fun seeking gamblers are loving the process of gambling whereas profit-seeking gamblers are bothering about the outcome of gambling. If you love the process then you could enjoy your activities while you are gambling and this is how, I do believe we must gamble.
4594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How fair is Provably Fair? Do you verify every bet as a gambler? on: March 02, 2020, 07:06:58 AM
-snip

ineed its a hassel to check often  but it would only be beneficial to some that bet a few big bets and you could be right , what if some of the bets are rigged and they wont notice it because they are busy with our play  but once they catch it and verify that is fake  , that would be a big issue to them  as it can scratch their crediility  especially if they are already established .  and yes also , alot of sites have the same scripts  ,   this can be seen obviously  . there are some that are owned by the same owner  but i dont think its possible to cross verify especially if games are different
A lot of people actually think like you and make bets but let me clarify how casinos can manipulate rolls without even being caught ever.

1- You determine the client seed.
2- Server seed is always in the control of the casino and rightly so.

Now if you are not changing or checking client seed every bet then the casino can provide a server seed that will be against your bet for example you are doing all bets higher than 49.5 and the casino notices it, they see that the client seed hasn't been changed and they can easily give a server seed that would generate result lower than 49.5 always.
I am not a technical person but really understood it much better after the explanation by webtricks so thank you again!
4595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: March 01, 2020, 06:39:55 PM
Even in my part, I will not borrow money just to gamble. If I dont have extra money I did not gamble because that is not my priority.
Borrowing is just like you are desperate to have money in a simple and easiest way but it is risky and probably very risky once you have lost everything but have still a debt from others because you had borrowed money. If somebody took this action, probably that gamblers need to be cured for the addiction he has before everything will make the worst and probably committing crimes are most commonly the outcome.
Same but if I see an easy opportunity to earn let me be very honest I might be tempted to take money from my friends and use it. For instance you know from news that Federer is not 100% fit today then I would not hesitate to bet ON HIM (YES not against him) because I do know that if he somehow manages to win a few sets he will then push for a win but if he losses a few sets then he will probably retire as most players do and my bet at best would void but has a chance to win.

So yes if I see a tactical advantage or some sort of opportunity I would take some money and use it but otherwise I would never take the risk of betting with someone else's money. I don't have such friends by the way.
4596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A professional crypto-currency trader PROVIDING FREE bitcoin/alt SIGNALS on: March 01, 2020, 05:27:18 PM
I am not sure how you are not warned for bumping your thread multiple times because this is a clear violation of bumping rules.

By the way let me assess your professional service:

As you can see on my profile , MY Bitcointalk account was created on 2016 , but i have never posted because i used to only learn and read posts/threads inorder to develop myself. After a long experience in Bitcoin/alt trading (4YEARS)
Please can you share some verifiable proofs about the trades you made and the success rate of yours and why after 4 years of successful trading and profiting you feel the need to share your advice and earn money by doing so?

NOTE: Your password was recently changed so if you are an active trader why do you recently changed your password then?  Grin Grin.

My assessment, just a hacked account now trying a lame scam attempt or something like that but that is just how I think.

Quote
If anyone of you get impressed by the signals that i post and need a manager for your portfolio ( more than  1 BTC ) i can help on that.
I would advice anyone who wish to proceed with this management, must use an escrow.
4597  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: February 29, 2020, 06:43:26 PM
You know what guys? I'm actually going to take the Watford special tonight. Not so much as a hedge against Liverpool (they'll still win) but on the off chance that they ONLY win by a goal, I still take home 5/1. Been a while, I'm still in the black from taking Watford specials (thank you Arsenal haha) but Hornets, don't worry, you'll do better, but tonight you can't win.
Picking Watford has been both wonderful and also terrible for sportsbet. We are now in love with Watford even though most of us are not from UK and don't even know any premier league teams personally (meaning we don't live there, just support the team emotionally) and it became great because it connected us to premier league a lot more than anything else so far and also probably increased the popularity of sportsbet too.

It has been terrible only because we want Watford to constantly win but it constantly loses Cheesy. It is a sad affair that we picked a team that always loses and even tho they lose we still continue to support them. I hope next season if they go down they might become of the stronger teams so we can support one that wins Cheesy
4598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Compulsive gambling. on: February 29, 2020, 04:48:50 PM
We also have to believe that it is not only about losing, gamblers who are addictive also have some trouble stopping even though they are already winning big, that's the reason why most of the time they end up losing even if they have a good start.
Excellent point made, actually it's winning that makes gambling more addictive because when you initially gamble and you loose then you won't get habitual to it but for some reason if you win then you get addicted to it and feel like you found an easy way of earning which is what casinos want because I remember I was talking to a real life casino owner and someone won a big amount and I asked him how do yo handle these losses? he told me just one line " No matter how much he wins today, eventually he will loose all one day here itself".

Rehabilitation can cure compulsiveness or if he/she experienced great loss, that is the perfect time healing arrives.
I agree that sometimes too big a loss can wake you up and that is a good time to re-evaluate yourself because no matter what anyone says as long as we are in the gambling trap where we loose some money win some loose more repeat we would never understand how much we are actually loosing. But once we loose a big amount suddenly we realize like "oh man what have I done?" that is the feeling that can help you exclude yourself from gambling.
4599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you see Markets on Gambling Sites? on: February 28, 2020, 06:26:23 PM
For me, I don't really look at those promotions especially merchandise because I don't think that merch will be useful to me. But some promotions, if I do think that it's worth it, I try to consider it. Its worth depends on individual gamblers but the common thing about this marketing strategy is for them to earn profit
I really feel for those who might actually buy these clothing with the logo/brand of the gambling website because even though you don't mind gambling but wearing such things must be very shameful for anyone in my opinion.

Yes I do feel the promotions are worth it as long as there are no 500 times wager attached with them with slots being the only counting games because that is like wasting time, energy and sometimes money too. Though there are some good promotions in market like sportsbet I remember used to offer 6 mbtc free bet while FortuneJack offered 10 mbtc free bet and these offers are worth it for me!
4600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you tried explaining provable fairness to old-school gamblers? on: February 28, 2020, 04:37:27 PM
I once tried to explain how the modern-day gambling is good because of probably fair mechanism but that person ignored my arguments and simply saying that "ball is in their court and they can do whatever they want". It means they are still believing that crypto gambling is just a rigged one regardless of whatever things we are having in the name of probably fair mechanism. I believe we must need more simple things to show them what probably fair things are.

It is not hard for anyone to understand what is probably fair mechanism but those continues losing streaks are still the tricky thing which makes doubting about the probably fair mechanism.
