Lol, nice bug you found

Of course it's a wrong number! I wonder what you did to have it anyway lol

Do the number change?
4583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 35.5Mh/S w/Nvidia fermi 450 GTS on: July 29, 2011, 05:05:37 PM
Your speed is fine, 35 is what you get with your card.

My ATI 6950 make 315mhash/s without problems  Cool A 6970 goes over 400mhash/s...

Nvidia just epic sucks at Bitcoin mining, despite all their "gpgpu cuda etc etc" marketing.

You speak about 2001? Wow, any chance you still use Windows 3.1 btw? We are in 2011, ten years passed since then...

And no, Quadro and Tesla aren't significantly faster.

Oh not the "free energy" bullshit PLEASE

4585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I would destroy bitcoin if I was a goverment on: July 29, 2011, 10:01:39 AM
What a fail system to destroy bitcoin... seriously, are you joking?

A government would simply spend 15 millions $, get enuff GPUs, do a 51% attack and ta-dah, done. And 15 millions $ is nothing for a government

I tend not to watch video.  You may find that developers tend to not watch video, we like to read.

I'm posting to say that i am like him, i prefer read things than watching a video.

So, less video and more WRITTEN things that explain this. No, i won't watch "episode 30", sorry.

My guess: a nuclear power plant.

There are like 40.000GPUs hashing right now. A nuclear power plant is a bit too much imho for them...  Roll Eyes
4588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always be prepared! (Wallet.dat loss) on: July 27, 2011, 11:31:14 AM
Nono,

if you can restore the Wallet.dat with such an tool you didn't delet it proper!

Someone could (far in the future) buy/find you HDD and restore that wallet.dat too!

Make proper encrypted BACKUPS! Thats the only solution! Dont relay on such tools...
Best way to sovle it is to move bitcoins in a NEW wallet if you change hdd or what else. So even if someone find it well it has 0 bitcoins inside
4589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: a question on Gpus collective performance on: July 25, 2011, 04:56:44 PM
Uh? Of course each GPU simply add his performance.

If you have a gpu that make 300mhash/s you have a total of 300mhash/s

If you have 3 gpu, you will have a total of 300+300+300, so 900mhash/s

You are misunderstanding the article. If you have 1 gpu and you buy 2 more, your total mhash of course triplicate, cause well from 300 it become 900. If you buy 3 more gpu of course it will only double cause it will become 1800mhash/s. But 1800 is 6 times 300! So 6 gpus are 300+300+300+300+300+300

4590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how much time is bitcoin transaction? on: July 25, 2011, 10:29:30 AM
Yup you are right, it can be hacked and it's a centralized thing

But well you can only keep a small amount of bitcoins in that online wallet
4591  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: You know when you are bitcoin miner when... on: July 25, 2011, 10:05:51 AM
5. When you hear the fan of your GPUs going at maximum speed
4592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how much time is bitcoin transaction? on: July 25, 2011, 10:00:38 AM
Also if you use an online bitcoin wallet you can easily resolve that problem
4593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not anonymous on: July 25, 2011, 09:54:24 AM
Nothing new...
4594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two new countries launches new currency respectively on: July 25, 2011, 09:53:35 AM
Why do you speak about BILLIONS?

It take like only 15 millions $ to do a 51% attack... a rich guy can happily do it without problems.

4595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: cannot visit bitcoin.org? on: July 25, 2011, 09:50:37 AM

4596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Windows 2000 and hash rates and overclocking on: July 24, 2011, 07:52:55 PM
I don't know but using windows 2000... is not a good idea
4597  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can you help design a better Bitcoin Interface? on: July 24, 2011, 02:16:53 PM
The client lacks A LOT of things but a column displaying the btc value in dollar isn't one of them in my opinion...

4598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US politician wants to prohibit bitcoins? on: July 24, 2011, 02:08:56 PM
I request the dollar to be prohibited because it's widely used by drug dealers!
4599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin client on Windows - best practices? on: July 23, 2011, 07:42:25 PM
But are you savvy? By reading this thread i suppose not, cause windows is safe as any other system if properly used. This "omg windows is unsafe" thing is false

Lol, someone still use IP ban? It's useless, especially when so many ppl have dynamic ip ISP... either you ban the world or you just banned the next unlucky person that end up using that IP  Cheesy (since the banned guy will simply change ip)
