4581  Other / Meta / Re: My account got banned Please Help on: October 12, 2017, 08:57:21 PM
You bought a hacked account. I think you've bought many more as well. What other ones have you had banned?
I have just one account i will give you my teamviewer address that you can see my things in front of your eyes. I don't know how other people left there memories with you but I'm honest to share my problem so please sort out my problem. Which can be good for me to continue in forum.

I'm not so sure about that. Look at the three accounts that sign up directly before him in the Ice Rock campaign:

All accounts have some form of passwords/emails/woke up from inactivity warnings, all have activity/post counts the same (usually an indicator of a farmed account), and suddenly start shitposting to hit rank to join the same campaign.
4582  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: October 12, 2017, 08:14:49 PM
Within the hour providing you have enough activity, unless you mean the activity periods which are all different every fortnight but there's a table somewhere with the exact times.
4583  Other / Meta / Re: Japanese threads on: October 12, 2017, 06:17:39 PM
It has a thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877.4140

Local boards are added as and when needed when there's demand for them. A lot of reports have been coming in about nonsense posts and bot spam in the local Japanese thread and it would probably be exploited by sig spammers and farmers just like the Chinese section is. Sadly, a lot of local boards are ripe for abuse due to only having one mod or none at all in some cases so I'm often against them unless there is huge demand for them, which is hard to gauge as people often have ulterior motives for them to be created.
4584  Other / Meta / Re: Attention mod : user copy/pasting posts from cointelegraph and other news sited on: October 12, 2017, 06:15:50 PM
User: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=841978

Look at his previous posts , all posts seems of one page but if you carefully Google it then you will find that the posts are copied from some news sites.

So is this beheviour tolerable?
This user is wearing signature and do this very often.

You don't need to google it because he provides the source and that's what the Press section is for (unfortunately). It's a lazy way to get paid from your campaign, but pretty much every staff member is in agreement that the Press section has served its purpose and is now no longer needed and redundant (not to mention prime for abuse like in this case). The entire section should be locked/archived.
4585  Other / Meta / Re: Disallow Airdrops on: October 12, 2017, 05:21:14 PM
No, but I rarely go in the alt coin section due to all the nonsense in there, but mprep usually handles them. Not 100% sure on his policy of trashing threads but he does seem to if it's explicitly stated to do post in them. Check these threads for example though:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256260.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256651.0

Neither state you have to post in them and one even says don't post your address or the thread will be trashed yet it is full of pointless spam like:

Joined airdrop....Good luck

Joined your airdrop.  THank you.

Which is just going to be a farmers paradise. As I'm sure you're aware it would be extremely time consuming to remove all those posts one by one and/or issue bans but they shouldn't be there and it's not exclusively the OPs fault either (unless they do state somewhere that you have to post something in the thread (which I have seen before)).

I'm so ignorant of airdrops that I wouldn't know how to get one if I had a gun to my head.   I assume they're just giveaways,  but I thought there was a little more to them.

They're just sign up or post an address and get paid in some pre-mined shitcoin giveaways and of course the scavenger sig spamming shitehawks swarm in for anything that is free.
4586  Other / Meta / Re: Banner in Signature on: October 12, 2017, 04:58:46 PM
As above, no. You can bid on forum ad slots here or have someone design you a bbcode signature if you wanted.

I have actually suggested that image banners be allowed as a perk in a special donator rank which I think would be a worthwhile bonus/investment to consider.

4587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: October 12, 2017, 05:47:43 AM
It would be nice. But now it is impossible. Someday perhaps bitcoin will become the main "currency" and it will gradually become true, but I still think that it's not soon

Do you think that the governments will allow that to happen? If Bitcoin becomes the primary currency, then the value of the other currencies (i.e government issued fiat currencies) will go down. The government will lose its control over the economy. None of the nations are going to allow that.

Some nations might not have a choice and there will be nothing many governments can do about it unless you're a totalitarian nation and try to ban its use outright but it will still thrive underground. It will be interesting to see if a troubled nation adopts either bitcoin or a crypto as their main currency when their own fiat goes tits up. Places like the UK have already embraced it and know crypto is here to stay and have issued guidelines on how it should be taxed so I'm not sure how they could turn around 180 and then decide to ban it (and on what grounds) when it starts to get popular or threaten fiat. I don't think it will ever happen with financially stronger nations anyway but it would be awesome if it did over time become the defacto currency, but most of the mainstream will still fear it for it ever to replace fiat completely.
4588  Other / Meta / Re: Boards that don't contribute to activity on: October 12, 2017, 05:25:54 AM
Bump.

I'm thinking of making Games & Rounds not count toward posts or activity. What other boards would be good candidates for this? Maybe Off-topic, though some decent discussions occur there, so I'm not sure about that.

Games and Rounds needs to go. There are people farming hundreds of accounts in there with many likely using bots. I've even seen hacked accounts reactivate after years of inactivity just to copy and paste someone else's giveaway address or username from an earlier post years ago.

Off topic should also be considered. It's the go-to board for illiterate newbies who know nothing about bitcoin but have heard you can earn here and shitposting account farmers to spam their way through the ranks. An even better solution though would be to remove signatures from ranks somehow and it'll solve the issue we have with people trying to spam their way to x rank or farm dozens of accounts for free.
4589  Other / Meta / Re: Activity and Post went down on: October 12, 2017, 05:14:47 AM
Hi guys, I just want to ask why is my activity suddenly went down  Cry
I already went to 15 activity but now I only have 8 because a moderator deleted a topic that I reply in. Cry I sure wish that my activities would not stock to 14 again Sad
We experience that also, and i already know how to avoid it just do not post in spam or redundant thread because that is the main reason why our post reduced.

Well I'm glad to see someone is learning. Hopefully the culture around here will change pretty fast and instead of people seeing a spam thread and getting excited about how they can easily earn a post in there spouting a line or two of nothingness they will realise it's pointless posting in it and either leave it alone or report it.
4590  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: October 12, 2017, 05:09:24 AM
Yes. It will count up to the 14 activity you can get for that activity period. If you just spam posts for activity you'll likely be banned though.
4591  Other / Meta / Re: How do I pay for Bitcointalk advertising? on: October 11, 2017, 09:25:27 PM
You can bid on forum advertising slots here:

4592  Other / Meta / Re: Campaign manager can seeing participant ip addresses? on: October 11, 2017, 09:23:16 PM
Just if someone have more accounts here,he can registered in many campaigns with no worries to been busted,if campaign manager cant see ip addresses in to google participant list Huh

Nice to see you're only concerned about getting caught cheating a campaign. Your account seems to have almost exclusively been farmed with games and rounds spam so I'm guessing the others have been too.

It would be a very nice feature if managers could get the IP of any participant,

They could if they made people sign up via an external site  which logs IPs but sadly most campaigns don't care about alts even though the majority of them prohibit it.
4593  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: October 11, 2017, 06:16:16 AM
Why Administrator not make clear rules of bitcointalk.org  this is main thing must be happen when make a site  ?

How clear do you want them than thread? I think new users should be urged to read them upon sign-up though.

I have a question about Bitcointalk signatures, could someone help me? In general, is it allowed for one person to include more than one signature at a time? After reaching "Member" position, we can have unlimited text which allows us to add different signatures from different campaigns. Is this against Bitcointalk rules?

There's no forum rule against it but signature campaigns usually only allow one. You also don't get unlimited space so you probably couldn't fit two of most signatures in.
4594  Other / Meta / Re: How can one do ? on: October 08, 2017, 07:06:03 AM
Why do you assume it was banned for copy and pasting? Either because that's what you did or that's what your other alt accounts were all banned for.
4595  Economy / Reputation / Re: why i'm still in negative trust on: October 07, 2017, 11:34:06 AM
Then there's likely nothing you can do.
4596  Economy / Reputation / Re: why i'm still in negative trust on: October 07, 2017, 10:53:07 AM
You'll need to work it out with those that left you it. Nothing else can be done.
4597  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: October 07, 2017, 10:37:14 AM
I'm going to try use my card for the first time today. Do I need to transfer the money from my Wirex bitcoin account to my plastic card or will it automatically come out of that when I try withdraw from the ATM? Thanks.

You need to exchange the BTC to your card if you have the app its very easy to use and very user-friendly.

Hit the exchange button select your bitcoin account and the card you want to load then just follow the app or website

Yeah, I figured it out. Unfortunately the exchange rate Wirex gives you makes it not worth using the card. 1 BTC is currently £3,324 on Coinbase and Preev but only £3130 on Wirex which is a huge £194 difference. Then add the five £2.50 ATM fees I'll be charged to withdraw it out which takes it to £206 loss. Shame since Coinbase sucks so much and wont answer my support emails to them.

4598  Other / Meta / Re: Why my account was banned? please and banned on: October 07, 2017, 08:18:00 AM
Pleading ignorance isn't going to help you. How can you possibly claim innocence here when you obviously copied the content from somewhere? Your account wont be unbanned for this so you're just wasting your time.
4599  Other / Meta / Re: I need to contact the ADMIN on: September 28, 2017, 01:29:11 PM
A screenshot of your email isn't sufficient proof of ownership. The hacker could have gained access to that as well (or just your email but not your forum account).
4600  Other / Meta / Re: end of all signature campaigns on: September 28, 2017, 09:09:57 AM
A hard problem to address fairly though.

It's not that difficult and several solutions have already been suggested but met with complete silence. The easiest one to enforce would be if you start a signature campaign here and it's clear that you're just accepting hundreds to unlimited users without monitoring the quality of the content then you get a warning to clean your campaign up within a week and if you don't your account is banned, your thread(s) trashed and any user still carrying their signature will have it forcibly removed. This is what was meant to happen with the signature campaign guidelines but they're pointless when theymos won't enforce them. Signatures also need to be removed from rank/activity somehow to stop the ludicrous amounts of account farming that is going on and people literally having hundreds of accounts to milk signature campaigns dry. As long as you can easily join the dozens of crapcoin campaigns that pop up every month with hundreds of accounts you've easily farmed by shitposting then nothing is going to change and the content of the forum is just going to get worse daily because the more people realise they can get away with it.

what will happen if all signature campaigns end

The forum loses money by allowing signature campaigns here. Most businesses/projects don't bother buying ads when they can have their signatures plastered all over the forum for free as opposed to buying one tiny, barely noticeable ad slot.

Quote
1 1.25 MeridianMDN
1 1.25 ChipMixer
1 1.25 HighAllTime
1 1.20 3DesTeam
1 1.20 gusgusest
2 1.20 DThree
2 1.20 SmartIphone

- I usually try to keep ads up for no more than 8 or 9 days.
9.7* 4k =  38800,00   8days
               145500,00 30days

I think the forum is still doing pretty well.
Buying ad on the forums is still better than a signature. And they do not need to manage anything.

And it could be doing even better if signature campaigns were banned and replaced with forum adverts. The forum would also then be readable, you know, how it actually should be. And buying a forum advert isn't better. There's only one of them, they're barely noticeable, and they're expensive in comparison to if you run a crapcoin campaign and pay your users in your pre-mined shitcoin so you're literally getting free advertising to have your advert plastered all over the forum by shitposters.
