Last season, Dortmund also benefited from a bad performance from Bayern Munich which made it very easy for Dortmund to shift Bayern Munich's position at the top of the standings. But not long ago, Bayern Munich was able to catch up again, which made the difference with Dortmund only one point away. In the last game, which was full of tension, there were many unexpected dramas that made Bayern Munich win the Bundesliga title again. I think for next season these two teams will still be fighting for the title and it will probably still be unlucky for Bayern Munich if Dortmund want to win this title considering they are the same team as before who kept losing important players in the transfer window.
It is a greatest chance for Dortmund after about 10 years and it's a rare season when Dortmund can take a leading position till the final day of season. They can win Bundesliga by winning their last match but they failed to complete that task. Bayern Munich luckily have a fantastic finish from their young star player Musiala and took the trophy when their match has only a few minutes left.

With Bayern Munich's better preparation for a new season and with what's happening in Dortmund, selling Jude to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich will very possibly be stronger than Dortmund in 2023 - 2024 season and they will successfully defend their title.
It is clear that Bayern Munich will continue to dominate the Bundesliga if they keep their current squad. But so far only Lucas Hernandez has started to leave first for PSG and I hope that no more players leave for the summer. Perhaps the only problem for Bayern Munich to make it easier to defend this title is to bring in a new striker and we have often discussed this here. Apart from that, so far Dortmund still doesn't look serious next season because they haven't bought important players to strengthen their squad.

the reason Real Madrid and Mbappe have not mutually agreed to sign a contract is because there is uncertainty on the part of PSG at the moment on the one hand there is a very hot conflict at PSG with Mbappe so maybe Real Madrid have no other choice but to wait until Mbappe contract run out and there is no need for too much ambitious to find a replacement for Banzema.
although Banzema is a reliable player, Real Madrid can be successful without a substitute
The steps taken by Real Madrid are very appropriate not to be too hasty to catch up to Mbappe and it is better for Real Madrid to just watch the problem get over first. I think that even if Real Madrid came now to get Mbappe it would really make PSG a little arrogant and also of course they would not hesitate to increase the transfer fee for Mbappe because at the moment only Real Madrid can afford Mbappe. But if Real Madrid are patient enough to wait until next year, they won't spend a penny on Mbappe and that's where PSG will really feel the loss and regret it.

Arsenal officially introduced their new signing, Jurrien Timber from Ajax, with a five-year contract. He plays as a centre-back and can also fill in at right-back on occasion. He is a talented young player who is very good for the depth of the Arsenal squad, especially now that Arsenal are updating their squad list to face next season's increasingly competitive competition. Mikel Arteta appears to be very happy with his new signing and it was unexpected that he is still on the hunt after signing Declan Rice from West Ham. The transfer fee for Jurrien Timber is reported to be 40 million euros plus 5 million euros in add-ons and I think that's a pretty normal fee for a player as good as him.
The deal was agreed days ago but few obstacles and delay kept the announcement stalling until yesterday. I’m still waiting on the Declan Rice deal that has been agreed on a week ago, Arsenal have sent words of encouragement that the deal is very close to completion and announcement. I really can’t wait for this particular deal to be done and dusted as I fear something might go wrong along the line. I am really eager to see what Arsenal can do this season with the signings they have made this season.
It's true that there are obstacles that Arsenal haven't been able to clearly describe regarding the official announcement of their players in the summer as we know from Jurrien Timber. But so far the process that has gone smoothly and has had no problems is Kai Havertz and he even started the pre-season match yesterday with Arsenal.

As for Declan Rice, a few days ago I saw him training with Bruno Fernandes and Rafael Leao in Portugal and I don't understand why he was in the Portugal squad yesterday. Cheesy

But now I think Declan Rice is in London preparing for an Arsenal announcement ceremony and the whole deal has been officially closed for a fee of £105m as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Previously, Sadio Mane had been linked with his future with Al-Ahli because there was also his former Liverpool teammate, Roberto Firmino. But soon the rumors began to fade and now it is Al-Nassr's turn to be interested in signing Sadio Mane in the summer. I think this is a good opportunity for Sadio Mane and indeed his future at Bayern Munich is starting to become unclear for next season. On the other hand, Al-Nassr certainly doesn't want to lose to his rival Al-Hilal, who is currently continuing to spend on European players. Hakim Ziyech's failure to join Al-Nassr could certainly be another reason to start making offers for Sadio Mane. Apart from all that, I expect something good for Sadio Mane next season.

Newcastle still need time to strengthen their mentality in the UCL. With this busy schedule, it can affect their performance in all leagues. Maybe they don't have any targets for the UCL this season, but being able to compete in the UCL is already the best experience to prepare for the next UCL. With financial strength, Newcastle will probably start preparing when they can become EPL champions. Because, if Newcastle can become EPL Champions, there will be a lot of top players who will be easier to sign.

One beauty about the UEFA Champions League is that it is the home of surprises and upsets. Newcastle can pull up a surprise in the champions league next season and surprise many punters of the game. I believe the Newcastle United team goal is to reach the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. I believe Eddie Howe can achieve that
I think the target of reaching the last 16 of the champions league feels very realistic for Newcastle, especially since they haven't been in Europe's highest competition for so long. I think Eddie Howie knows very well what they need in order to survive until that round and go through every match that is there with a win. Maybe it will be his first achievement as a Newcastle coach if he can reach that stage and if he fails to take Newcastle to that stage, he will still be able to try again at another time if he still has the same squad as now. Now Newcastle's focus remains the same, namely maintaining the top 4 in the domestic league and of course bringing this team much better in the champions league, it requires extraordinary energy and mind.

Right now, Marseille has officially signed a player in defensive position (Left-Back) Renan Lodi for a transfer fee €13.00m, also actually he can play in the left midfield position, but a man from Brazil has no experience playing in Ligue 1 French. I hope that during his first season at Marseille, he will be in good performance because currently he is also not too old anyway. There is still a possibility for him to shine, because previously in another league he also had stats that weren't too bad.
Renan Lodi has quite good experience as a defender considering he has joined Atletico since 2019. Last season he also spent a season on loan at an EPL club, Nottingham Forest and before finally returning to Atletico. But the right choice was made by Marseille to sign him and the fee of 13 million euros is very cheap. I hope that Renan Lodi in Marseille's new squad depth can help strengthen their defense next season and of course be able to compete with other teams to get the best results.

It is a bold thing to say that Dortmund won't be winning the Bundesliga title for sure in the coming a few years. But I can't deny the fact that Bayern Munich have been dominating this league for 11 seasons straight. Last season was the biggest opportunity for Dortmund to finish their series but they messed everything up in the final moment.

Now it is again up to Bayern Munich's performance level. As long as Tuchel has a good system working for them I will be expecting the continuation of this dominance from where it left. Dortmund can't deal with them while they are showing a high consistency. Dortmund can only benefit from a possible chance in case of Bayern Munich's being out-of-form.
Last season, Dortmund also benefited from a bad performance from Bayern Munich which made it very easy for Dortmund to shift Bayern Munich's position at the top of the standings. But not long ago, Bayern Munich was able to catch up again, which made the difference with Dortmund only one point away. One of the major ideas in the signing of high profile players that were initially plying their trade in Europe by the Saudi Arabian clubs was to make sure that league becomes as popular to the global audience as the European leagues.
And that I think they've partially achieved so far. The transfer window isn't yet over and I think there will still be major acquisition of players from the Saudi club that'll further introduce the league to a wider audience
True, the aim of the saudi league is to become the most popular league in the world and they will not care about the harsh criticism from all those who do not like their way of attracting the attention of European players using money. Maybe no one would have thought that there were so many European players who were interested in joining the Saudi league team even though they could still be considered productive at their age and of course they had calculated well before deciding on their career here. Regarding the transfer market, there is still about 1 month left and that is still long enough for the Saudi league team to continue to bring in other European players. I think a big investment will also bring a big return and that is what the Saudi league is aiming for.

Chelsea made "big" transfers last season and looking to get out of that now. They have tried "inject a lot of money quickly and find a way to win" but they have failed that so I think it is going to be tough to do the same thing.

So, instead they are selling the players they have, and getting younger players and hoping that it would work for them in the end. I am not saying that it would be a smart decision or anything like that, I am not saying this is what they should do, all I am stating right now is the current situation. Get rid of superstars that worth a lot of money, and use that money to get young players with some potential and that would be a good thing for the future. I believe it is actually a good idea for sure.

Chelsea spent a lot of money last season on signing new players, but they failed to perform well in the league. As for me, it is from the coach, as they have recently hired a new coach. The manager's job is to find players that fit into his style of play and trust him as a mentor. He must select his own players. It's what Guardiola has done for City, and those players will always go above and beyond for him. I believe Chelsea will play great ball next season, and they will perform very well under the new manager. Chelsea will be a difficult club to beat next season.
In fact, if we see that there was nothing wrong with the recruitment of Chelsea players last season, they were all talented players in the previous team and indeed this was purely the fault of the coach who could not provide a good strategy for his players. I think if Tuchel still stays and is given the opportunity to train all these talents I think Chelsea will still be able to maintain their position in the top 4 of the standings.

However, since the chaotic change of owner, Chelsea's management has become chaotic and out of control, so they often changed coaches in the first period of last season. Now Chelsea have a new coach, namely Pochettino and it is hoped that with his experience he can bring Chelsea to peak performance again.

If I'm not mistaken, this is almost approaching the two-week deadline given by PSG to Mbappe to determine his future and means that these will be very important seconds for his future to last for the next season. Is it possible that this time Mbappe will really move to Real Madrid or in the end he will stay with the exception as you say with a sanction or even that which will certainly cost him his time playing football. I think even if there is a solution PSG have to lower Mbappe's fee and if they don't want to do that then Real Madrid will come according to plan to sign Mbappe as a free agent, I think these two options are still strong enough to put pressure on PSG.
Yes, that's right, the deadline given by PSG management has arrived and can't wait to see him move to Madrid next season, making it easier for PSG to win the Champions League without a player like Mbappe, because he feels bigger and greater than the club that pays his salary. At least we can see PSG win the Champions League with their new coach Luis Enrique without Mbappe strengthening. If Real Madrid can take him without being penalized by a Financial Fair Play then I think Mbappe can leave in the transfer window and Madrid can definitely afford it.
Indeed, Mbappe has been too pampered since he was at PSG and he often gets special privileges compared to other players. Maybe his overly exaggerated attitude made some people think that he was bigger than the club and that was a big mistake. For PSG, winning the Champions League is the main goal because after bringing in star players like Neymar, Mbappe and Messi, they still haven't been able to get one since last season.

Well, actually Mbappe also has the same thought, therefore if he still stays at PSG, of course he will never win the champions league title and the only place that can bring him to win the title is by joining Real Madrid. Now only time and agreement between the two parties will determine this transfer.

Vlahovic can leave Juventus if Mbappe will leave PSG or if Bayern can't buy Harry Kane.

The price tag for Juventus is around €80m and both teams can pay it
If we take a look, this is quite a complicated situation for the several teams involved and it is possible that one of the results will not be on target. All right, if Mbappe leaves, of course PSG has the funds to spend on players and it's clear here that PSG need a striker to replace Mbappe, now that's where Vlahovic will be targeted by PSG. After that Juventus started to charge Vlahovic around 80 million euros, this is where the competition between PSG and Bayern Munich started, but of course the costs will not stay the same because this competition makes the price go up.

Of course, Bayern Munich will never spend that much on one player, at least if the price is below 100 million euros, maybe a transfer to Bayern will occur for Vlahovic. Then that's where PSG will be very firm in paying Vlahovic's fees (eg 100 million euros or 120 million euros) and at the same time make Vlahovic's record as the club's most expensive striker. Well, that's just my opinion and considering PSG have good finances, of course it's not a big problem.

Financial problems are a problem now, Jose Mourinho has said that if you want to build a team you need money to be able to invest in young potential players, slowly Roma are doing that now and Jose is an experienced coach who has good qualities so I believe as long as he is still coaching AS Roma, of course this team will be much better, even though they cannot present the Scudetto, in my opinion, if they are able to compete at the top, it will be good enough with a makeshift squad.
Jose Mourinho's 2 seasons with Roma saw a lot of changes, so I think there is no need to doubt what will happen in the next season.
Financial problems are the most important thing that Rome must solve as soon as possible and it will not be easily resolved in a short time. Jose Mourinho is a coach who always keeps his word. I saw footage of Mourinho's interview when he was still a Chelsea coach. At that time he was in a team that had very good finances and Mourinho told Abrahamovich to bring in Didier Drogba, but Abrahamovich asked who he was? is he a great player? and Mourinho immediately said to Abrahamovich, you just need to shut up and just pay. What happened after that Didier Drogba turned into a world-class striker and managed to bring Chelsea to win the champions league title and he also became a club legend. I think that while Rome has a coach like Mourinho they have to really make concessions for Mourinho to see the talent of young players who are currently so numerous and it will be a good golden generation for Roma in the future.
It's not debatable that Mourinho is one of the best coaches in the world. Money was never a problem, though, because Roman Abramovich is a millionaire. It's a whole different story in Rome. Mourinho cannot simply point to talent and say, "Shut up and pay." Rome's financial problems are systemic and won't go away quickly, even with Mourinho on board. We can't hope for a quick fix out of thin air. Also, one Drogba doesn't make a team. It takes an army, and money is needed for each member of the army. While it's true that Mourinho has a knack for spotting talent, it's only half the game. A huge amount of effort is still required. Let's face facts

I understand what Chelsea wants cannot be compared to what Mourinho wants at Roma and of course I totally agree with that. It's just that if Rome was Chelsea, of course Mourinho would not hesitate to do the same thing as before. Maybe yes for Mourinho he can't do much and maximize all the players currently available, even so, it must be admitted that Mourinho was even able to compete with several other strong Serie A teams and I hope that will happen again next season. Besides that, it's just a matter of how Mourinho continues to maintain his existing performance in order to achieve stability of good results in every match.

I still don't understand why Arsenal are still wasting time to end this deal on Rice, is almost 3 weeks and yet the deal is still not signed. Is like Arsenal is being forced to get this player Rice, well is all the making of Manchester City, they made Arsenal to go for this player and spending £105m for a player they (City) know he won't do much for them, very funny though. I just wish this player would perform more than he did at West Ham. This deal is really annoying because at the end of the day he might be an injury prone player at Arsenal. Lets see how today and tomorrow will be like, but if the deal is not sealed yet then is a big mistake Arsenal are making.
If we pay attention, it's quite strange that the official announcement regarding Declan Rice has been slightly delayed and Arsenal have just officially announced Jurrien Timber, their new recruit after Declan Rice. Maybe I think there's some paperwork that should be double-checked and maybe there could be a few things that make things a bit slower and because of that we'll have to wait a bit longer to hear Declan Rice's official announcement. Apart from that, the cost of up to £ 105m has made Arsenal lose control and that is indeed due to competition with Manchester City. I don't think we can make it as planned, but in the transfer of players this is very normal.
4595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 14, 2023, 03:16:51 PM
Even though Real Madrid have already got Joselu, he was only on loan for one season from Espanyol and next year requires Real Madrid to hunt for another striker if this summer they don't get a striker. Mbappe and Osimhen are the right choices but until now there has been no clear offer for these two players.

Tchouameni and Courtois seem to have attracted interest from some of Europe's top clubs and it is unlikely that Real Madrid will ever let go of the player despite being paid such a hefty sum. We know Real Madrid is not a team with bad finances and they can still sign a player like Bellingham this summer.
Since Mbappe refused to extend his contract with PSG and since the club president Al Khalifi said it clearly that Mbappe has to renew the contract or leave the club in two weeks then I assume Mbappe will join Real Madrid by the end of the transfer window. At worst he will be sanctioned and will be in the benches the next season so he might accept to leave in the winter transfer window.
Real Madrid has to find a temporary solution only concerning that spot.
If I'm not mistaken, this is almost approaching the two-week deadline given by PSG to Mbappe to determine his future and means that these will be very important seconds for his future to last for the next season. Betting on an unknown team from an unknown league is the easiest way to lose money. I agree with your opinion because I think betting money on such a team is nothing more than guesswork in the dark. They wished for luck without having a database to analyze, so in the end their victory was purely down to luck.

~snip~
Indeed, this is quite reasonable to be one of the causes of losing in betting on sports and it is important that general knowledge for the team or league that we know will make it easier for us to make money. Maybe the origin of this guess is not fully justified but instead the failure rate is far greater than the level of luck and because of this things should be avoided. Apart from that, betting on a big team that we believe can win easily will be far more able to make money with certainty, of course in this case it is a bet for an official match, not a friendly match.

4598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 14, 2023, 02:39:04 PM
It is only natural that there are hateful comments about the Saudi league, especially coming from fans of Europe's top leagues, and the parties concerned are certainly very understanding of what they are doing. I think the fact that the saudi league is starting to gain popularity is indisputable from now on because this league will attract the interest of the public in a sizeable amount.
Saudi League is getting more popular otherwise we wouldn't see people around the world talking about it that much, even in our forums I feel the topic is more active than some European leagues.
The main point is how much this bubble or tendance will remain. I mean Chinese at some point were popular among Europeans then suddenly faded. I don't know if Saudis will keep their league attractive or will stop running behind players after few seasons..
That's right, especially this thread has become more lively since the transfer of several European players who decided to join the Saudi league in their careers. I understand your point about the existence of this Saudi league, can it last long enough or will it only be temporary like the Chinese league you mean. But I see that the Chinese league tends to bring in good European players and can't be called a star in Europe, while the Saudi league can even bring in one of the GOATs as an attraction for other star players to come like Benzema, Kante, Firmino and others.

Maybe this significant difference can illustrate how much better the Saudi league was than the Chinese league at that time. I think the saudi league will continue to target other star players because if you look at the current generation of star players they are in their 30s and above and it will be much easier for the saudi league to make attractive offers.
4599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: July 14, 2023, 02:24:44 PM
It is very wrong when we are been forced to stop gambling. Gambling is something that we need to decide to stop if we really want to stop gambling but not someone telling us to stop gambling or threatening us in one way or the other to stop gambling. There are people that gamble for fun like you are hi but it is not good when we become too focus as a gambler. Gambling is not something we need to do with our common sense and we should not become too focus and addicted to it like the way many of us see gambling to be an activities that we needed to engage in that will give us the kind of profits that we want.
Indeed, sometimes there are gamblers who do it because they just want to have fun, but there are also many who gamble hoping to make a lot of money and that is what sometimes makes people misinterpret the existing perception. I think if gamblers make bets continuously it will not be good and will actually destroy their mentality and life. I think maybe we should be able to limit gambling activities and replace it with healing in a cool and quiet place so that we will get a clear mind.

We will never forget Erik ten Hag and this is not the first season he handle the Red Devils. That's normal if there is a little doubt, consider that even in the Europa League last season, Ten Hag's squad was only able to play until the quarter-finals. There is no achievement that can be used as a reference to remove doubts about Manchester United in the Champions League.
While in  the Premier League they is actually still not going well as a whole, we can see MU's statistics from 38 matches. It's just that they managed to find their best game again before the season in the EPL ended
Precisely as the coach of the Red Devils in his first season, Erik ten Hag was able to bring Manchester United back to the Champions League after they last came in 2018. Manchester United's journey in the European League last season was a departure from the previous coach and at least they could advance to the QF round at that time. For the domestic league, I don't even believe that Manchester United can compete again in the top 4, even though there were problems they experienced instability, but they did prove at the end of the season they were able to finish well and will once again enliven the Champions League.
