4581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee is crypto man of the year on: March 11, 2019, 02:49:55 AM
Time has proved everything already. McAfee is a joker. He shilled tens of alts in the bull run which are nearing zero value right now. Remember dentacoin? Bitcoin private? Every altcoin he shilled has been an absolute mess, nothing else.
I have shared a same opinion earlier in this forum in a similar thread earlier but some moderator has deleted that message, i really did not question that action because i thought i was over the line to criticize in the same fashion as i followed his crypto journey and invested in a few coins he advertised and then later found he was doing it just for money and not having any idea about the project. His words and actions have no value and he is in it for the fame and he is getting plenty. Tongue
4582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: small gains but cant make it big on: March 11, 2019, 02:19:04 AM
I am trying to figure out the best straggly for building my portfolio with the aim of 20x my investments is euro terms by year end by trading, long term investments or staking Since doing more trading in the last few months I have noticed a pattern. I seem to be able to double small investments in shit coins quickly like in a week or so and get 30-50% gains in a few days but cant compound that long term or with higher amount of cash.
My advice to you is to avoid shit coins and you might see some profits in those shit coins in the beginning but once you invest heavily to earn more profit, you will be a bag holder for the rest of your life, so make sure you do not make those mistakes, there is nothing wrong in dabbling small amounts, with the current market trend, which ever coin you invest will give you a good profit, check out for penny tokens in the top twenty and invest in potential projects or into bitcoin, you will touch your target by the end of this year but i would hold the coins for a couple of years and see how the market goes and then take a decision.
4583  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan Approves Self-Regulation for Cryptocurrency Industry on: March 11, 2019, 01:19:45 AM
Japan is one of the crypto powerhouse I should say, they can really give impact to this industry. Through the green light that they rate crypto, they just show to the world how serious they are in the blockchain space I wonder why some other countries hard to realise its potential.
There is no doubt that Japan is a power house when it comes to technology and its implementation but it is a bloody expensive country for start ups to pop up, majority of the countries have accepted the power of blockchain but they are confused on how to regulate the use of cryptocurrency and their fear lies in the fact that the control over their citizens on how to trade will diminish.

Probably not only Japan, but Japan has a really poor record for self regulation. This could be worse than no regulation at all.
I am not aware about the details on self regulation they are implementing, but what i presume is that, in order to tackle the hacks, inside trading and other things that can happen in this market, these exchanges should work together and implement a system so that the standards are kept intact.
4584  Local / Press & News from India / Re: 35 Countries Are About to Regulate Crypto Exchanges Like Banks (including India) on: March 11, 2019, 12:13:50 AM
is there any other hard proof that these all above mentioned countries are actually implementing?
There is no hard proof to say at this moment, but it is a good initiative that a general body is taking up the matter and implementing things to regulate the market rather than some governments who does not have the capability to think on how to regulate the market rather than shutting down the entire market space and making it hard for investors. Lets see how these will be implemented and whether all these said countries abide by the solution set by the task force.
4585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3.75% of Americans ready to invest in ICO? on: March 10, 2019, 11:42:39 PM
LendEDU survey:
25% of Americans know about ICOs
15% of them plan to make investment via ICOs!
15% of 25%= Around 3.75%
This is the major problem with all the surveys, they just take a small portion and come to a conclusion that the entire population think like that, the more number of people taking the survey these numbers will change drastically, either way if you like it or not you are not able to invest in any ICO if you are from the US and if you overcome those restrictions there will be some problems when it comes to paying tax and being transparent when you are filing your income.
4586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All in ETH now? on: March 10, 2019, 11:24:04 PM
Actually there are still many good things to invest besides ethereum. it all depends on which one you really believe is an investment for the long term besides ethereum
That is the reality, there are much better projects to invest than Ethereum, just take a look at the penny stocks that are available in the top twenty coins in terms of market capital and invest in any of those potential projects in the long run, you will end up in a far bigger profit than investing in ETH.

when believing in the potential that ETH has. I think it's quite natural that there are many people who hold ETH. in fact, I hold some ETH for the future, because I believe the potential that ETH has is large enough to develop. the price will definitely be quite high in the future
If you are using any project which uses the ETH platform you need to invest in the ETH first to hold those token and to send them and hence anyone who invested in any of the token projects will definitely hold ETH one way or the other , most of the projects which started with ETH platform later moved on to their own network and that will happen in the future too. We will see an increase in price when the market recovers but i do not anticipate any mad rallies in ETH alone to invest everything on ETH.
4587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Kill the Bear Bring the Bull on: March 10, 2019, 11:02:03 PM
For the bull to come, Stop using binance and bitmex.
So what  do you suggest, which market you will be using to trade or are you suggesting to stop trading and just use it as a store of value for the long time so that the price increases, what about huge OTC purchases which is off the market situation, in short there is no clear data to show how much bitcoin is sold and purchased on a daily basis, the bear grip is loosening and we will see the market recovery in the coming months.
4588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looked back - lost! on: March 10, 2019, 09:19:39 PM
You are already in cryptocurrency and you should not regret it.
YES, the course is unstable. Sometimes there are mistakes, but do not look back. You will not change anything. It is better to assume that you made the right decision, even if you got a loss.
We need to move only forward, what do you think?
I can understand if you have lost small amount of money in the market investing in unknown and risky projects and no one in this market will claim that they have not being played on by one or the other project, since it is a new market expect these kind of activities but it will not happen in the future as regulation will be in place if you are planning for an ICO and so on, if you invest in solid projects or bitcoin, then there will be no regrets if you are planning to invest for the long run.
4589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Citibank is offering crypto custody. on: March 10, 2019, 09:06:15 PM
Although Citibank offers crypto to investors, the effect has not been significant so far, crypto needs other support to rise again. I hope there will be many large platforms that support bitcoin and come out of this long correction zone
Hope you have read the article, it says they are providing insurance and other features for institutional investors, it is to attract new customers in the new market as majority of the banks were not in favor of funding or accepting funds from the new technology based companies, it is a positive news for the market and this news alone will not move the market like that, we will see gradual change in the entire market in the future.
4590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain technology solve our identity problems? on: March 10, 2019, 08:39:30 PM
Will this happen in our life time?
It is a real possibility that the entire block chain technology will change the entire structure in which the data is recorded and stored and in due time major corporates, industries and governments around the world make use of the technology and bring a change in the entire infrastructure on how the data is stored and collected and it will take a long time to fully understand on what all concepts can be done with the innovation of the century.
4591  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin number of transactions all time high?? BEAR MARKET IS GONE! on: March 10, 2019, 07:09:48 PM
Looks like we are out of bear market!

Please check number of transactions for the Bitcoin. Very close to all time high.
If this is not proof of adoption for some people I don't know what adoption should be like.
The number of transactions is not at an all time high, the average transactions are in the same range as before and there is nothing special about the current levels, if you check the past few years, the average transactions per day are similar and i really do not see any major difference, anyone has a different opinion can speak up. I am not certain whether the bear market is over, but we can see the signs of recover from the market situation we have seen in the past week.
4592  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 29 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: March 10, 2019, 05:26:20 PM
I know I have seen some of the videos and I feel sad for all those people who lost their savings, and now they’re regretting it but it’s too late for it. The strategy to keep money with family and friends is a good one, provided you do not end up borrowing from others in a desperate move to gamble. I feel one should instead tie it to a goal, or lock his funds in stocks, bonds or gold to curb one’s addiction.
If you have the slightest idea to gamble, never use your investment in the first place and if you are addicted enough to use those savings make sure you never regret in the first place, the idea about making any kind of profit through gambling is just a hope and nothing else, gamble for fun and not to make money and if you are lucky enough you might win, i have lost in the past and won in the past, once you loose never set a target on recovering the lost amount, it will end up clearing your entire balance rather than recovering.
4593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 10, 2019, 05:06:37 PM
And they did win it . Amazing performance by Aussies especially Handscomb and Turner . Turner , what a player! I had seen him in big bash but oh man can he bat .
I did the right thing by betting for Aussies @ 10 odds .

That was a great bet and i have not seen these players perform in the past, but with the Indian sloppy fielding in the last game i really do not want to place a bet in this game too even after scoring a healthy total because the odds were not that great to place a bet in favor of India, i never heard about Turner in the past nor seen him perform and the way in which he was striking the ball i expected he could chase this one and the sloppy fielding and missed catches helped the Australian team.
4594  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: March 10, 2019, 04:11:13 PM
I don't know maybe he is a user in this community. $5k though is within reach short term as compare to those so called experts claiming that bitcoin will go higher than 5 digits this year.
Anything is possible when it comes to bitcoin market, you might see the market breaking the resistance at $4200 in an hours trading time, you cannot predict exactly when and how it happens until the market crosses those valuation. The market will recover this year but we cannot estimate how long it will go nor we can exactly know whether we will see the same rally we saw in 2017 but the market will recover from this situation in the coming months.
4595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: True or false? on: March 10, 2019, 03:19:36 PM
Many people around me are still saying that the last bullrun was nothing but a bubble and it got bust so we are never going to see any anymore that the present market condition is just realistic? I'm not saying its not realistic but is bullrun gone for good ? Please share your opinion
If the market tries to recover with a burst, that does not mean that it is a bull run, the market has to stabilize first and then we have to break some major resistance to see a bull run, last time the market had a momentum but it ended when it hit the resistance level at $4200, we need to break a few resistance points like that to see a real bull run and do no expect a bull run like that in the near future, but eventually you will see in a couple of years.
4596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market will be recovery current year 2019? on: March 09, 2019, 10:18:51 PM
Step by step analysis of bitcoin market, this current year 2019 bitcoin will be recovery its price and reputation. I think bitcoin will be highest soon or later in this running year...
I am not sure what happened to the reputation of bitcoin, for people who are looking for profits it might dent their confidence as they made poor choices rather than investing wisely, if you are looking for a all time valuation this year, you will be disappointed as i do not see a huge rally this year, but will see the recovery phase.

But I think this will be difficult for bitcoin because even their other tie ups and other companies related to bitcoin industry are now going to break their connections.
I have no clue what you are talking about, what connection are you talking about, i would like to see an elaborate explanation. Tongue
4597  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the problem of trust in projects? on: March 09, 2019, 10:00:10 PM
if it has to be, the problem is that as time goes by there are no rules and regulating the ICO, there will be more ICO fraud that will harm many investors. because the original ICO investment was promising if there were no fraudulent projects
It is not just about scam projects who run away after collecting money, we have to look at the market and it is really difficult to pin point top 50 projects that came out with a buzz and collecting a hell lot of money through investors and did not follow up with the project and died off, there have to be a regulatory body to monitor everything and until then it is just a wild market and if you are lucky you can cash out when the price rises and switch to a new project.
4598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Crypto Offering A bullish sign? on: March 09, 2019, 09:38:18 PM
I also agree with you sir as this announcement will make the people learn more about the blockchain technology.
I am not sure any smart phone user will learn about the blockchain technology because they provide an inbuilt wallet, but people will be aware of the market and sure it is a good sign for the entire crypto market and once they announced what all wallets are included which involves a lesser known coin Enjin Coin had a huge rally after the announcement.

In a thread it was questioned whether you'll be going with hi-tech smartphone or bitcoin. Looking at the inbuilt feature of the latest S10 more people, particularly the cryptocurrency users will go buying the high technology smart phone selling bitcoins to experiment the worth of the innovation from Samsung.
Since it is a high end mobile, they are targeting the crypto users and it is a good thing to see a multinational company understanding the market opportunity and trying to take advantage of the situation which is a win win situation for everyone.
4599  Economy / Speculation / Re: The decline has slowed down, the bears are still dominant on: March 09, 2019, 09:10:34 PM
We need to make sure people trust bitcoin again and support bitcoin above 4200 and when it reaches 4200 again we need to tell them to keep buying so bitcoin price breaks higher. Its a imaginary limit to what we can achieve for now and if we could just make people believe we can go higher than there is absolutely nothing that could stop us from reaching higher levels, the only thing that limits us is ourselves.
The people you need to ensure that the price will go higher are big investors and they exactly know when to pump the money in and when to get out and that might not the case of causal users who are active in the market irrespective of the market valuation, the market is showing signs of recovery and the winter period will be over soon as we are going through the longest bear period in its short existence, the market situation should change in the second or third quarter.
4600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pension funds bringing money to Bitcoin. on: March 09, 2019, 08:33:36 PM
It is really interesting that at last some pension funds have wet their feet in cryptocurrency investing. Someone is going to be very happy or very pissed off in the future. What do you think of this? It is really a breakthrough for crypto as an investment?
There is a major difference when an institutional investment firm invest in cryptocurrency and investing in crypto based start up companies, they see the viability of the market and the risk factor, by reading the headlines i thought they are investing in crypto currencies and as far as i am aware they will not invest in any high volatile high risk ventures.
