I think publicly showing who pressed the bump button could be a way of establishing whether there's any paid bump services going on
A public list of bumpers is useful for bumping services more. If list of bumpers becomes available, it will be a good tool for bumping services.
Also, It's not easy to prove that someone has been paid to bump a thread. The bumper can claim that he was interested in the thread.
I think the list of bumpers shouldn't be shown or it should be shown only to moderators.
4582  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: October 24, 2019, 10:01:21 PM
I would like to ask wetsuit or thequin if this was profitable? I mean you have given away tickets for free both on deposits for a while and have been giving away from the wagering so maybe you made a ton of profit from that part or maybe not (you could maybe see the difference before the lambo and after the lambo casino profits) but in the end I feel like there must be a lot of money made from just pure ticket selling as well. Will you guys profit? Lose? Break evenish?
Given the current price of bitcoin, 200,000 dollars is equal to 26 BTC. As the house edge is 5%, Freebitco needs 520 BTC to be wagered to earn those 26 bitcoins. According to statistics shown on the website, yesterday's wagering volume was 156 bitcoins. So it doesn't takes even a week to earn those 26 bitcoins.
However they are paying for weekly lotteries and contests too, 26 BTC is not a big amount of BTC for Freebitco.
4583  Other / Meta / Re: Bump changes feedback on: October 24, 2019, 09:16:02 PM
Overall it's pretty good and personally i'd like to see it's implemented on more boards (such as Bitcoin Discussion & Altcoin Discussion).

It's possible to sort threads by their bump score on any board you want.
Here are the links for sorting threads by their bump score on "Bitcoin discussion" and "Altcoin discussion" boards.

Bitcoin discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0;sort=bump;desc
Altcoin discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0;sort=bump;desc

The effect has been very positive.
I suggest to provide the possibility of sorting threads by their mini-bump score.
In this way, it's possible to find the threads that high-merited users are interested in regardless of whether they have been super-bumped or not.
4584  Other / Meta / Re: Add "Manager" link to signatures on: October 23, 2019, 10:34:17 PM
I think it is still better to report spams to moderators and the number of recent deleted posts of each user is shown in their profile. If the number of recent deleted posts exceeds X, the signature disappears for a certain period of time. Then spammers will be removed from the campaigns.

It would have to be a bit more robust than simply X. I'm sure someone could easily find X crappy posts in my 17000-post history if they wanted to get me kicked out. But in general some sort of signature ban penalty would be nice to have as a softer alternative to regular bans, which appear to be very very hard to earn even for the most egregious spammers.

You are right. Should consider recent posts made.
For example the ratio of number of deleted posts that had been made in the past 10 days to number of total posts that have been made in the past 10 days.

Generally, I think it's good if signature is disappeared for a certain period of time. If such a penalty is considered, then the criteria can be discussed.

Inactive; and then woke up for the sake of CryptoTalk Signature Campaign is a false statement against me I believe (for those who think this way).
Since 24th July (the day I stopped posting) to 5th Oct (the day I joined CryptoTalk Campaign), in between there were other campaigns launched where I haven't applied.[1]
I actually took a break from posting after all those Livecoin dramas, but I was active daily in the forum as read-only mode. Due to the Livecoin drama, I also got blacklisted which made me very upset.

I got blacklisted because I just posted "Reserved" in Livecoin's second phase campaign. I even didn't write my details in the application. The reason why I posted reserve because I have seen the accuser withdrawn his support from the flag and I thought the case was settled, but no, later I've known that it was not settled and the accuser supported the flag again. Trying to make a short post, so I won't be writing the whole drama and points again here. Anyway, later I forgot to delete that reserved post and got blacklisted. I haven't contacted yahoo or wrote anything about it anywhere to explain my situation to get whitelisted again because I thought this will lead to arguments and that shitty thing counter the counter process which I hate very much.

I'd have not joined Yobit's campaign if I were to wear the Yobit signature, I joined because it's CryptoTalk.

If the signature campaign is all that mattered to me from the beginning then maybe I'd be the one with most post counts and reached maximum post limits all the time in all campaigns I join(ed).

Sorry for this long post and sorry if said anything wrong. No offense! Smiley

[1] Blacklist made me upset and that's why I haven't applied or worked on it to get whitelisted...

Hi mate.
I am sorry if I have upset you.

The purpose of creating this thread was introducing  good users of Crytotalk signature campaign which is mentioned in the subject. I have called these users those who are able to join other signature campaigns too, users who are tying to be helpful to forum and make constructive posts. I said that these users will remain in the forum after Cryptotalk campaigns ends.
I said there are some users who post only for money and I called these users are different form them.
I focused on the merits these users were able to earn in a short time.
I didn't make this topic to accuse someone. I made it to call you a good user.
Again, I am sorry if you didn't like the topic.
4586  Other / Meta / Re: Add "Manager" link to signatures on: October 23, 2019, 09:33:49 PM
Campaigns have not some specific rules. The main rule of all of them is "Do Not Spam" (Burst-posting is also kind of spamming) and it's a good idea to report spammers to managers. Because it can cause spammers to no longer earn money via their posts if managers ban them.

There are two types of signature campaigns.
1. Those that you should apply for them and you need to be accepted by the manager. (usually bitcoin-paying campaigns except Cryptotalk)
2. Those that you join them once you fill the registration form (usually altcoins-paying campaign and cryptotalk)

The main problem is the second type.

In Crytotalk campaign, there were many participants reported to Yahoo62278 and were banned if they were bad posters. But I am sure this is not going to happen in other second type campaigns even if bad posters are reported to managers.

I think it is still better to report spams to moderators and the number of recent deleted posts of each user is shown in their profile. If the number of recent deleted posts exceeds X, the signature disappears for a certain period of time. Then spammers will be removed from the campaigns.
4587  Other / Meta / Re: Is this a bug? Or it is normal? on: October 22, 2019, 09:28:05 PM
My post was removed by a mod, I don't know if there something to do with that, but those posts are logged in the modlog.
Maybe that happens when a post is deleted by moderators.
It's not good. Because in this case, if a spammer makes a post and moderators delete that, that post can still bump the thread.

I get to see something different which I guess is a bug as it's not visible in incognito mode: http://prntscr.com/pmqf3x
It's happening since yesterday.
That's something different. A hard refresh solves your problem. This has been already discussed.

Is there by any chance that it's not a bug and the last post section even if the post was deleted was to identify who are the true members who have created the last post? What I mean about that is this some kind of way to identify bumping bots/services in the past and hasn't been removed in the forum even after the new bumping system has been introduced?
I don't think so. Because when I tested that in this thread, that doesn't happen. The deleted post no longer was shown as the last post.
4588  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 0.3 BTC Wagering Contest 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: October 22, 2019, 07:20:39 PM
If all of his bets we're at least $100 it's sill easy for him to take the top 1 spot as long as he have enough bankroll and with autobet it would probably take several minutes since the bet speed is 1 per second. I wouldn't say wagering 14 bitcoins is a lot unless he went big and sniped yoloer on the last few minutes of the contest. There's a few ways to do it without spending more than the guaranteed prizes but with the screenshot it seems he wagered more than 10+btc in less than 4 hours which is quite fast..
I really don't get it. Windice has an house edge of 1%. If someone wagers 14 BTC to win 0.1 BTC (price for the first place) he statistically has lost 0.14 BTC during the contest. So wagering that many BTC has no sense in my opinion except "look guys how big my pockets are" ... or do I miss something?
Well, you are missing the point that he is dropping the house edge down. What would normally he get on a day there is no contest? 14 bitcoins wagered means 0.14 lost right? Well if he gets to win 0.1 of it back that means 14 btc is expected to lose 0.04 only and not 0.14 and that is why they play such huge amounts.
So you are telling me that he plays during contests just to lose lesser than he would if there is no contest running? Wink Of course you are right that he has statistically lost "only" 0.04 BTC but still ... I dont see any sense in this besides "its gaming and fun". Maybe I have just a different perception of how much money 0.14 BTC is Grin

First of all, no one play to lose and playing during the contest only causes your chance to make a profit to be higher. Just this. Generally nothing is guaranteed.
For determining whether that user has made profit or not, there is no need to discuss. Because his profile is public. We can easily calculate his total profit or loss.
Totally, he has wagered  2.007 BTC and 922.558 ETH. At current price of ETH, the amounts wagered at ETH is 19.44 BTC. So he has wagered 21.447 BTC.
He has lost 0.16 BTC and won 0.594 ETH which is 0.012 BTC. So he has lost 0.04 in the games without considering the prizes won on the contests. He has won 0.002, 0.05 and 0.1 BTC in three rounds of contests respectively.
So, the total profit is 0.002+0.05+0.1-0.04= 0.112 BTC.
4589  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: October 22, 2019, 06:29:02 PM
As you can see from the diagram above, the are over 4 billion active internet users, and surely most of them don't have spare money to invest in Bitcoin. But what they can do is claiming the faucet on freebitco.in. It won't make them rich, but at least they can be proud to be Bitcoin holders. Regardless of the amount, for some it's a psychological thing, which makes you feel better overall.
Don't these people from poor countries pay money for the Internet they use? Don't they need some device like a PC or a mobile phone?
I don't think a person who is starving can afford to pay money for Internet. Faucets are not enough even for paying the Internet expenses.
4590  Other / Meta / Re: Is this a bug? Or it is normal? on: October 22, 2019, 03:01:19 PM
The post has been deleted, I guess it will take some processing time to refresh the cache, same as when you change your avatar, it takes some time (the old sessions should expire) before you can see your avatar.
I just tested the function in this thread. I made a post and then deleted that. Once my post was deleted, my post was no longer the last post shown. Seems that something is different on that thread.
4591  Other / Meta / Re: Is this a bug? Or it is normal? on: October 22, 2019, 02:52:43 PM
Just do a hard refresh
I pressed CTRL+F5. But it wasn't helpful. The last post is still be iasenko while there is no post by him in the thread.
I think when a post is deleted and no post is made after that, the deleted post is still shown as the last one.
As far as I remember this wasn't like this before.

I am seeing that one as well, by the way, how hard refresh is done? From the last database error happen I just did clear my browser's cache to make it appear normal again for the site and I just did the same thing within this case by now but still seeing the same. Maybe @iasenko did a post on that thread and he deleted it in an instant and we are seeing that he is the one appeared to be on the last post or reply but it's not.

Yes, He has deleted a post. That has been archived on Loyce.club.
In this way, deleted post are still able to bump a thread. But shouldn't be like this and I remember wasn't like this before.
4592  Other / Meta / Is this a bug? Or it is normal? on: October 22, 2019, 02:37:45 PM
Here is the screenshot from "Services" board

http://archive.is/gExCQ

The last post in ChipMixer thread has been made by iasenko.
But There is no post made by iasenko in the thread.
http://archive.is/R3Seb
He has probably made a post and deleted that. But is it normal that the deleted post is still showing as the last post?

I visited " services" board page once again some minutes later.
http://archive.is/guil7
The last post is still by iasenko. But there is no post by him in the thread.
4593  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Stats on: October 22, 2019, 12:45:39 PM
Edit: I saw that while I was viewing my own merit summary for the last 120 days but I can't see it now.

Click on "Merit" button at left top of the page (It is shown in the following screenshot). Then "Merit Stats" button will appear at left bottom of the page.

4594  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: October 22, 2019, 11:54:17 AM
~ I remember when people used to laugh at me for claiming from faucets when the claims were over 1k sats but now those claims are worth a lot more, if everyone believes that btc is going a lot higher in the future then claiming 25 sats every hour may very well be worth $0.025 cents in the future.

Yes, I too remember claiming around 1k sats on freebitco.in. It was not so long ago, actually. From January 2015 till October 2015 one could claim from 800 sats to 1k sats each hour. At the current rate it's around $2 daily. And I agree with you that the BTC price can be 10-15 times higher than it is today, in the future.

the problem (which made people laugh) was not about how much those small amounts could worth in the future. the problem has always been about the time that was being wasted to earn a tiny amount of money farming faucets!
for example if back then you could make $1 per day from faucets, you could easily make a lot more doing any other job and convert that money to bitcoin and being at a low price ($200-$400) meant you could convert your "time" to "bitcoin" at a much higher exchange rate than what you could get from faucets!

Yes you are right. Should always consider the current price.
If someone believes that bitcoin's price will be 10 times higher in future, the best hing can do is buy bitcoin as much as possible. Not wasting the time with claiming faucet.
Some people might say that there are some people poor people don't even have 1 dollar. They should note that these poor people have not access to Internet.

A little improvement.
This is actually position number 1.

DiamondCardz, for this member is more suitable.

I edited the OP.  DiamondCardz has 9 positive trusts not teosanru. It was my bad.
DiamondCardz is a trusted user who was inactive for more than a year, but earned 24 merits only in 5 days.
Only 43 posts from June 28 to 2016 to April 1, 2018,
No post from April 2, 2018 to October 15, 2019
79 posts from October 16, 2019 till now and 24 earned merits.
4596  Other / Meta / Re: Some good users awakened by Yobit on: October 22, 2019, 08:15:45 AM
Let me ask you something; did you find just 8 recently awakened quality posters from over 500 participants? 😮 What about other quality posters? Many good posters, afaik ,migrated from other campaigns to cryptotalk signature as you can see actual opened slots in major campaigns.
I focused only on users who were inactive before they join Cryptotalk signature campaign and earned at least 10 merits after they joined they campaign. I excluded those who were active before and had earned huge number of merits before the campaign.
4597  Other / Meta / Some good users awakened by Yobit on: October 22, 2019, 07:41:04 AM
Almost all of the topics made about Cryptotalk campaign are blaming Yobit and participants of its campaign. Here I opened a thread about some good participants of Crpytotalk signature campaign.

Managers usually don’t accept the users who have been inactive for a while before the campaign. But these kind of users were able to join Cryptotalk signature campaign however they can be banned by Yahoo62278 if they spam. Cryptotalk signature campaign has been a good opportunity for those who say "Please accept me, I will be active and make high-quality posts." to prove themselves.
Sooner or later, Cryptotalk campaign will end. There are some users who won’t be able to join other campaigns and as they only make posts for money, they will leave the forum again. But there are some users who are using this opportunity, try to be helpful to forum, make constructive posts and earn money as well. These users will likely remain in the forum after Cryptoytalk campaign ends.

Here are some good users that woke up after a long time, but they are good users.

1. DiamondCardz
This user has 9 positive trusts. But he hadn’t made any posts form April 1, 2018 to October 17, 2019. He couldn’t join any campaign other than Cryptotalk. Now he is an active user and has earned 24 merits only in 5 days. He will likely remain in the forum and join other campaigns after Cryptoalk campaign ends.
(This link was added due to DiamondCardz request.)

2. abel1337
This user was inactive from December 29, 2018. He joined joined Cryptotalk signature campaign and earned 24 merits.

3. npredtorch
Only 14  posts from August 1, 2018 to September 26, 2019. Earned 40 merits from October 04, 2019

4. teosanru
He hadn’t made any posts on the forum from April 22, 2019. He couldn’t join any campaign other than Cryptotalk.
He joined Cryptotalk signature campaign and earned 16 merits.

5. akamit
No post from July 24, 2019 to October 02, 2019 (only 1 post in September). Earned 15 merits in 11 days.

6. th3nolo
Not a regular poster before Cryptotalk campaign. Only 8 posts in July 2019, 4 posts in August, But very active from September 28 and earned 15 merits after October 5.

7. Deathwing
This user is active mostly in Turkish board. No post from April 21, 2018 to October 11, 2019. Earned 26 merits in 8 days.

8. coupable
Not a regular poster before Cryptotalk campaign. Only 3 posts in June 2019, 7 posts in July, 4 posts in August but very active form September 28. This user is active mostly in Arabic board and has earned 31 merits after September 28.
4598  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section on: October 21, 2019, 07:24:20 PM
Another moderator (not necessarily a 'manager' per se) for that campaign should at the very least be brought on - if they can afford to spend whatever they're spending right now, they can afford to pay another person to check posts.
If YoBit cared. They launched the campaign several ties w/o a manager and only brought yahoo on board after the campaign started.

Seems that the problem is going to be less severe. Yobit decreased the maximum number of eligible posts to 10 per day. Spammers will likely make fewer posts.
Here is the post made by Yobit account.

Update: limit from now is only 10 posts / day

Here is an post about bitcointalk account deletation.  You can check this. Hope you will be clear.
Deleting accounts doesn't mess up any threads, like this thread. It just changes to anonymous, with no profile information. Post stays intact.

As you can see here, I only change the username to "Anonymous" on request.

All of the users have anonymous usernames are very old users. I think Theymos no longer accept such requests.
Here is the forum rule regarding changing the username:

Q: I want to change my forum username. What should I do?
A: You can either donate 50 BTC to become a VIP or PM theymos asking to change your username (although he rarely accepts such requests nowadays).
